Ronnie skipped down to the duck pond, carrying her little sack of bread pieces to feed the ducks as always. Oh, how Ronnie loved the ducks! Her kitten Oliver had decided to tag along, and bounded after her as they made their way to the duck pond. Ronnie sat down by the rocks by the edge of the water, tossing a few pieces of bread and watching as some ducks swam up and ate them. Oliver curled up next to Ronnie, and began playing with a nearby inchworm.

Ronnie took out her sketchbook out of her bag she had brought down to the duck pond and set it on her lap, looking at the ducks for a bit and then at the sketchbook. She opened it, and began flipping through the full pages until she found an empty one. She then began drawing the ducks in the water.

He was in a weird mood most of his exams were over and he just felt like relaxing. But yet...he felt mischievious as well. Spotting Ronnie down by the pond, he smirked, and decided to come up behind her. He saw the kitten next to her but decided to surprise her rather then the kitten. Though the kitten would probably notice him first, or even bring his notice to her before he had a chance to scare her.

Kneeling down he scooted forward slowly and quietly behind her, before whispering in a husky voice "Heeeeyyy" and grabbing her shoulder. He was gentle about it but knew it'd probably startle her.

Jordan gasped, "Your first day here?" he asked incredulously, and he thought that it was hard for him when he found out about his powers; but to find out amongst many excited First Years on the first day of your first year... That would be a nightmare for him! He honestly could not understand how Pam managed to get herself through it all. It made him respect her even more in fact. "That must've been tough to deal with!"

Ronnie was just touching up one of the duckie's beaks when suddenly she heard a voice behind her and a hand grabbing her shoulder, causing her to jump a little where she was sitting and fling her sketchbook and quill into the air. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
she yelled, wondering who the heck did that. It was probably a creepy bad guy that would take her away from Hogwarts forever and kill her or something! Or something way worse...what if it was a monster?! Ronnie began panicking inside, and turned slowly to see who was behind her.
Oh, phew. It was just Isaac.
"Merlin's Beard, Isaac!" she exclaimed. "You really scared me!" she said, laughing, relieved it wasn't a bad guy or scary monster or anything.

Chuckling he couldn't help it her reaction was totally epic. It was just the mood he was in! He had no idea what had gotten into him, but the reaction was awesome! Catching the quill, he threw himself forward to nab the sketchbook that had slid aways from them. Handing them back to her he winked leaning on one arm to the side of her so he could look at her better.

"Sorry couldn' resist." he replied laughing again. "Enjoying the nice warm sunshine yet?"

Ronnie watched as he got the quill and sketchbook for her. "Thank you." she said as he handed them back to her. It was curious how almost every time she was in the middle of drawing something, someone had to come up behind her and scare her. Some people!

Ah well. Ronnie flipped open her sketchbook back to the page she was drawing on and turned to Isaac as he spoke. "Yes, I am indeed! I went for a swim the other day. I really hope to see the Giant Squid soon!" she said. "What about you?"

"Mmmm, the water wasn' te cold?" he asked curiously. He'd never swam here in the lake nor waded in the duck pond even. Figured being as far north as they were, the water would be downright freezing! Maybe he should try swimming there in it though, he just was a bit chicken when it came to that. "Oh, ye've not seen the giant squid?" He had thought nearly everyone had, especially after last term's DADA lesson.

"Jus' relieved exams are about over." he said shrugging. It'd be soon to head off on the train home too. Where was home? He still hadn't decided. He knew he'd never consider Australia home as his parents now did. But he felt weird going back to Egypt alone too. At least his plans for the holidays were set, and that he'd be spending much of them in Wales with Amelia!

She nodded. It was. Many people looked at her funny, and on top of that, she had no idea how to fix it. She didn't know how to turn her hair and eyes back to its original color. So she would end up spending days with oddly colored hair. At that time, it was either a red or a green color. "It was tough. But I got through it with Nate, and another girl who liked to change her hair color. But she never always used dyes and what not. She couldn't do it like you or I could." She couldn't remember the girls name, but she remembered it started with a J. The longer she thought about it, the more it felt like an eternity away.

"It was fine to me!" she said. But Ronnie never really cared much about how cold the water was, she didn't seem to mind it. "Well, I've seen it a few times of course. But I really like seeing it, and don't see it as much as mostly everyone else." she said with a sigh. Maybe the squid just didn't like Ronnie or something. . . hmm . . .

"Ohh, I see." Ronnie said. "So, got anything fun planned for the holidays?" she asked, turning back to her drawing and finishing up the beak she was working on as she waited for Isaac to answer.

Smiling softly, he pulled on the grass near his hands. "Guess I'm jus' not used te the water up here this far north." Ahhh, nodding now he understood "'Tis always fun te seem him." Throwing things for him to eat, or playing ball with the squid was always fun too! "Don' ye haf te deal with grindylow's and stuff though when ye swim in there?" He tried to avoid those creatures when possible!

"I've still not decided whether I'm gonna go see me mum and dad..." he said tugging on the grass again. "I don' know if I really want te fly te Australia or not." Making a face, he really wished he was just going to Egypt, he'd done that plenty of times both with portkey and with flying. "But I'm going te Wales with Amelia fer sure. What about ye?"

"Oh, I see." she said with a nod. She giggled and nodded again in agreement. "Totally! I wish I could take him home with me and keep him...but...I don't think I got room for him." she said with a laugh. Nahh, sure her house was pretty big but not big enough for a huge squid! And she didn't have much water for him to be in...so yeah, it wouldn't really work out very well.

"Hmm...not yet! But I think it'd be exciting to see them." she answered, knowing that it'd be not much fun if she got to close. Ronnie shuddered at the thought.

She watched as he tugged on the grass and answered her question. "Ahh, Wales? That's cool." she said. "Oooo, who's Ameliaa?" she asked, cocking her head. Was she a giiiiirlfrieeend? Ronnie grinned, she could tease him about it...if she was his girlfriend or a crush he had, of course. "Ohh, nothing really. I'm just gonna be at home alllll summer." she said with a sigh, finishing drawing the duck in the sketchbook.

Jordan nodded, slightly envious that Pam managed to get through it with the help of some friends whilst he had to cope in a hostile muggle village. When she mentioned Nate he couldn't help but wonder where he had got to recently, Jordan hadn't seen the other boy in absolutely ages, it was weird that he'd suddenly disappear when so much was at stake. "I haven't seen Nate in ages," he repeated his thought outloud, and then thought about the girl Pam was describing, it was Jayden Troutwater wasn't it? He and her had been quite close at one point.

nicki was walking down to the lake. she loved the lake she glazed at the lake and remembered when she was in her second year. what the lake looked like then, it hasnt changed much.
