Ducks, fifteen in all and quite possibly already named, live in this pond. Go on, take a seat on the rocky ledge and dip your feet into the water! Rest assured, these ducks will not bite, but if you just so happen to have any type of bread or cookies on you at the time, the ducks have been known to take without asking.
Waylon keeps a good eye on the pond and the ducks, so no funny business.

He said unsure of that or whether or not it's what he wanted the reason to be, Taylor confused him he wanted to be nothing but her friend and he didn't want to chase her but she still had a place in his heart. "Loch Ness is a lake in Scotland where the Loch Ness Monster lives...Dad and I found him, you wanna see a picture?" He asked smiling.

Maxwell laughed a little and pulled out his wallet and showed her a picture of his father with the Loch Ness Monster. "Some are real but not all, and yes Vampires are all too real. My Dad's been on adventures all over the world and he's fought Vampires before...He says they're terrifying." He said remembering hearing his father wake in fear from his nightmares or attempt to stay up for days on end so he wouldn't have them."

Victoria split bread into little crumies so the duckies could easily digest (it's not common for Victoria to be this thoughtful) and carefully threw them into the pond. Feeding ducks here is legal, right?
She was enjoying herself when the boy that just gave her bread (does that sound familiar?) said something that Victoria couldn't analyze at first. But then later understood what he had said.
Hogwarts is full of great place? Uhh...what an interesting information to tell a Seventh Year sitting at the duckie pond feeding bread crumbs to the hungry duckies. Oh Merlin, maybe he is one of those slow people after all. However, Victoria refuses to believe there could be such an unresourceful student in Slytherin! It's just...not possible. Victoria has been in Hogwarts long enough to figure out that the Sorting Hat is always fair. So Victoria decided to play.
"Uh huh. It does." Victoria nodded her head slowly. The gears in Victoria's mind turned madly, making squeaky sounds. "You know, whatever your name is..." Victoria smirked silently. "If you go all the way to that side of Hogwarts," Victoria pointed at the forbidden forest direction. "And find theright tree, that's old and wounded, you can find an underground, ancient chamber that leads all the way to the Center of the Universe." Hehe.
"You're welcome." replied him short. The blonde guy continued to feed the hungry ducks by tossing bread to the pond. He didn't pay attention too much to the girl until he realized that she was sitting beside him. As long as she didn't bother him much, that's okay. He prefer to spend his time alone.
The girl who was sitting beside him talked too much. He kept silent and just listened to her talking without paying attention much. He didn't like fussy person, especially girls. Oh...so he's new here? There has been a lot of newbies at Hogwarts, and Victoria was even one of them a few years back when she transfered from Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. Being a newbie isn't always that fun. "Ohhh..." Well that's probably one fo the reasons why Victoria didn't recognize his face. "You're from which school?" Victoria is curious to know, like she is curious about everything. *wink*
Since the boy is new to Hogwarts, it's not much fun trying to 'play' with him. Which is unfortunate, because Victoria liked being silly. X3
However,the boy seemed still distracted from something, and Victoria dislikes people that doesn't pay attention; she believes it to be really annoying. "Hey..." Victoria said slowly. "what's the matter?" She wondered whether it was the right choice saying this. They're strangers to each other just a few minutes ago and have just met. How can it make sense for the boy to tell her the 'matter'? Of course, it's all common for the Curious Crazy Victoria.
"It's okay, you can tell me." Victoria assured him as she nudged him on the shoulder. "Snakies are like family...right?"And thanks for the bread, the duckies now likes me : )

Jeanne? That name sort of sounded VERY familiar but she just couldn't point it out. "Who's Jeanne?" Wait..it wasn't Kurumi who gave the crup? Did she even gave him anything? "Is Jeanne your girlfriend?" Beezus teased as she reached out to tickle the crup's tummy. Of course she knew Jeanne wasn't Jonathan's girlfriend. Kurumi was the girlfriend.
It's creepy???
Where in Merlin's name did this girl come from? Hugs are creepy? Technically it's creepy when someone you don't know just practically tackles you from behind and act like you're bloody close. Then adding to that the randomly weird person would say Hug A Slytherin Day. Now that, THAT, is pure creepy. He still hates that day and loathes the person who decided to make that day for Slytherins. Jonathan just stared at her with bemusement. Is she sick?
Jonathan's confused face grew wider when she asked him to be his brother? Well, normally Jonathan automatically just becomes a big brother to the lower years that he hangs out with because he likes it that way. But no one really asks him that question though. In the end he just snorted and laughed at her "I can't adopt you" he said teasing her, of course she can be her big brother. "I love being an only child" he replied as he, once again, patted her head.

But she still wanted to meet his mother though, that was on her to-do list and she would keep reminding him of that.
"She was in Ravenclaw? Really? Is she pretty? Is she nice? Is she smart too?" Beezus asked with an undeniable air of excitement. Jonathan who she used to see as a mean Slytherin (they're good friends now. no more banters, at least not as of the moment) had a bestfriend from her house? That was really surprising! It was a shock, even. A Slytherin and a Ravenclaw being bestfriends? Duhh Beezus, you are in Ravenclaw and Jonathan's in Slytherin and you two are fake siblings so what's really the fuss? "Oh? Where is she now?"
Beezus moved closer to the dog, and rubbed its little ears. It kept rolling on the grass and even lolled out its tiny tongue. "Hey, he's really cute." But bigger ones occurred much much more cuter to her.
How much food did these ducks want? They must have been putting it way as if they had never been fed before. But he was one hundred percent POSITIVE they got fed everyday. It was impossible for them not to be fed everyday. There were how many students in this place to come down to the pond? Yeah, there was no way in his entire life he was going to even think about attempting to figure out just how many students were actually part of this school. He'd be there for half his life just counting the teachers. Or maybe not! That would be pretty obvious, right? But then it may not have been completely obvious. He didn't see Lafay amongst all the students in the common room making it not so obvious. But counting students, he'd definitely be there half his life trying to count how many students were actually at the castle. He'd probably wind up counting some of them at least twenty times. Yeah, he really wasn't very good with names.
He continued throwing the bread into the water for the ducks watching as they kept picking the bread up out of the water and eating it. He had to be honest, ducks really were cute little creatures. But then so were swans. Not that there were any swans in this pond. But if their were, he'd probably be running for his life. The idea of a swan being able to break a bone just with it's wing frightened him. A lot!
He glanced over at the boy near him as he spoke. "Hey" he responded cheerfully. And for once, he wasn't cheerful from eating a lot of sugar. Though he had been eating a lot of sugary food before he came down to the pond. But he wasn't going to admit that to anybody. He nodded at the boy's question. "Yeah. It's peaceful down here and... Yeah, I got nothing else" he replied.
Zack dorped the whole cookie that was in his hand as one of the duck touched his beak to his hand. OH! he yelled in surprise looking at the duck. "I am going to give you, you don't need to poke me" he said to the duck not knowing if the duck understood or not.
He took out some more cookies from the packet he had kept in his pocket of his robes. He held one and ate it feed the duck made him hungry too. He took and bite of one of the cookies and broke a few in small pieces and threw them in the pond for the ducks, now eating along with them. "So, like it?" he asked them as they took few pieces of the cookies at once in their mouth.
He didn't really care if the cookies got over he knew his mother would send some more without him asking. He still had a bundle of cookies wrapped in his pocket now, so he though of spending them all on the duck and few for him now. He looked at he boy who next to him as he spoke for the first time. He looked happy for some reason, maybe feeding the ducks made everyone happy he thought.
He smiled at the boy and replied "Yeah, i like it too here." he looked at the ducks one was about to come and poke him again, but before he could do so Zack dropped few pieces in the pond quickly and smiled. "I got nothing to do, but a little homework thought. I'm in second year, Gryffindor" he said an noticed he was wearing the gryffindor uniform so that was obvious he might have already noticed that too.

During these times she just wished her mom would have been honest from the time she was very little, then she wouldn't feel as dumb as she did every year about things muggles didn't know. "I just can't get over this." Her eyes grew a bit bigger when he talked about vampires and wondered where you actually found them so she knew to stay far away from there. "Where do you see them at? There are none close by are there?" She squeezed his hand a little tighter feeling a bit nervous at the moment. She knew they wouldn't have trouble at school, but that didn't mean they weren't near her home. If Maxwell's dad was having nightmares, she decided she never wanted to see any in her lifetime.

Jeanne..Jeanne...Why, Jonathan seemed very fond of the girl. "Really? I would've loved to meet her." Beezus shrugged. The way Jonathan talked about her, she could tell Jonathan treasured the friendship he had with the girl. She affirmed that she was pretty, nice and kind.
"Do you like her then?" Heh. He shouldn't. "You're on cheating on Kurumi, are you?" Because if you were doing that Jonathan, then Beezus would ban you immediately from being her fake brother!
The Ravenclaw just nodded at Jonathan, gesturing that she understood. Well, she didn't really expected the crup to know any tricks yet, it was still a baby.

This girl started to ask him sooo many question. But it's quiet different as usual, he didn't feel too bothered about that. Since he met Zhenya, the blonde guy seemed a bit friendly to girls. And tried to clear the statement 'Girls are annoying and noisy' from his mind. Gah! Why he should been thinking about her again.
"Salem."said him short. Then he continued to feed ducks again by putting the crumbies on his hand and offered it to the ducks. That's fun. He didn't find this place at his former school.
Huh? Gary suddenly was quiet surprised about her statement. She wanted to know what's wrong about him? Well, they just met each other now at this pond right? But she acted like Gary and her had ever met at another place before, and became close friend. He also didn't know her name, right?
"How could I trust you if I didn't know your name, yet?" he smirked. Well, she also hadn't known his, right? As a gentleman, he extended his hand to shake her hand. "Gary Rush. Fifth Year, and Slytherin." He introduced himself.

"How could I trust you if I didn't know your name, yet?" he smirked. Well, she also hadn't known his, right? As a gentleman, he extended his hand to shake her hand. "Gary Rush. Fifth Year, and Slytherin." He introduced himself.
"So you're American." Victoria had thought his English was a bit awkward, but she likes the American relaxed accent that made her have a feeling of a much more warm and flexable person. "That's cool...the...err...home of the Statue of Freedom right?" Victoria hoped she had her facts about America is correct. "And the Golden Bridge...the Empire State Building..." Is she talking about the right place or is the Golden Bridge thing really located in Canada?
Victoria had now wished she had paid attention to the geography facts. She had never important how 'geography' could be so important to having conversations. Think about how ashamed it would be if the Emperor State Statue is really located in Brazil! It's a relief geography isn't an important subject to know at Hogwarts.
Oh. Now the boy is talking. And he's talking about trust. What is he? Like a Hufflepuff?
Victoria threw another crumbie of bread at the duckies. "A name doesn't expose a person's trustworthiness...smartie pants." Whoa...it looks like Victoria just taught that Blonde American something. "And also, what if I don't want to tell my name, huh?" Victoria half smiled, half smirked. Hehe.
"But..." Hehe. Gary. "Since you've already shared yours, I guess I'll share mine." Fifth Year? Huh... "Victoria DeCour. Seventh." No need to share the House, right? See the badge...and done! Victoria pretended to looks suspiciously at his outstretched hand. "Oh...you've got some bread crumbs on that." Victoria pointed out sarcastically. "But that's okay, cause it's in the favor of the duckies." Victoria shook it.

Both of his parents are Canadian, and he was born in Canada too until he turned seven years old, Lucas and his family moved to America to expand his business. Noticed that this girl knew much about America, he bet that she'd ever gone there. Or maybe she just knew from books or another source.
Gary just glared when she mentioned that name's weren't important. "How could I know you if more if you didn't want to mention your own name?" he smirked. "And perhaps, if we meet each other again, so you don't mind if I say.. 'Hey there, the-girl-that-I've-ever-met-at-the-duck-pond!' Huh?" he spoke a little bit sarcastic. But she already mention her. So.. "Nice to know you, Vic." Could he call her Vic? Since Victoria is a bit longer. Hehe.

Minerva laughed and cuddled up near him looking at the picture. She couldn't believe that this stuff was true. During these times she just wished her mom would have been honest from the time she was very little, then she wouldn't feel as dumb as she did every year about things muggles didn't know. "I just can't get over this." Her eyes grew a bit bigger when he talked about vampires and wondered where you actually found them so she knew to stay far away from there. "Where do you see them at? There are none close by are there?" She squeezed his hand a little tighter feeling a bit nervous at the moment. She knew they wouldn't have trouble at school, but that didn't mean they weren't near her home. If Maxwell's dad was having nightmares, she decided she never wanted to see any in her lifetime.
Maxwell smiled as she cuddled up to him. "I know all the stories we heard, most are real." He said with a small laugh, he loved these surprises. He gave her hand a little squeeze back. "No, we're fine here. Dad ran into some in Transylvania...but he won't say much more about them.."

I remember Daddy saying that there were no such thing as monsters, giants, vampires, and my mom was standing in the same room. How she never slipped is beyond me. Maybe she never told him that this stuff was real." She felt the squeeze on her hand which made her smile even more. She turned her head kissing him on his cheek. "Well remind me never to go to Transylvania then, because I don't think I want to run into any." She then gave a little nudge from her shoulder to his "Well without my knight to protect me at least."

He said thinking of the book of his father's adventures.

Maxwell smiled and nodded. "He's been everywhere, He's protected a muggle village from Yeti's...have you ever seen Indiana Jones?" He knew it was a very old movie so she might not have. "Probably not...I think he's done with that life now...But maybe i'll have some of my own." He said smiling, but thinking it unlikely.
Zack dorped the whole cookie that was in his hand as one of the duck touched his beak to his hand. OH! he yelled in surprise looking at the duck. "I am going to give you, you don't need to poke me" he said to the duck not knowing if the duck understood or not.
He took out some more cookies from the packet he had kept in his pocket of his robes. He held one and ate it feed the duck made him hungry too. He took and bite of one of the cookies and broke a few in small pieces and threw them in the pond for the ducks, now eating along with them. "So, like it?" he asked them as they took few pieces of the cookies at once in their mouth.
He didn't really care if the cookies got over he knew his mother would send some more without him asking. He still had a bundle of cookies wrapped in his pocket now, so he though of spending them all on the duck and few for him now. He looked at he boy who next to him as he spoke for the first time. He looked happy for some reason, maybe feeding the ducks made everyone happy he thought.
He smiled at the boy and replied "Yeah, i like it too here." he looked at the ducks one was about to come and poke him again, but before he could do so Zack dropped few pieces in the pond quickly and smiled. "I got nothing to do, but a little homework thought. I'm in second year, Gryffindor" he said an noticed he was wearing the gryffindor uniform so that was obvious he might have already noticed that too.
Were these ducks really so hungry they needed to poke the boy with their beaks? Wait... Since when did ducks want ANY sort of contact with a human? He'd never known a duck have contact with a human. Especially not by poking them for food. But they were obviously hungry otherwise why would they be poking the boy with their beaks? From what Carson could see, they really enjoyed cookies. Though he was sure ducks shouldn't really be eating cookies. He thought they were only allowed to eat bread and whatever else they were able to find in the pond they resided in. He raised an eyebrow hearing the boy start speaking to the ducks. Did they even understand what he was saying? They may have been clever and have brains but Carson was almost positive they wouldn't actually be able to understand what someone was saying to them. They didn't speak human! They only spoke quack talk. QUACKERS! Yeah! The spoke quackers. But if they SPOKE quakers, how could they BE quackers?
He broke some more bread up tossing it into the water for the group of ducks moving around in front of him looking eagerly up at the bread he was holding before taking hold of a piece each after he'd thrown the bread in the water. He'd never noticed how cute ducks really were. And the colours on their feathers were phenomenal. Carson looked up at the boy as he began talking to him and smiled listening to what he was saying. He was a Gryffindor? Another one to add to the two he already knew. "Slytherin, third year" he responded. Had either of them said their names yet? It didn't seem that way. "I'm Carson..." he told the younger boy.

"Oh I know what that is." Minerva giggled a bit that she finally understood what a Yeti was. She put that in her memory so she wouldn't have to ask that question again. "Maybe I need to watch one of them sometime then so I can see the movie version of Jack." she grinned at him thinking about how great it was to be learning all this new stuff about Maxwell's family. She was really enjoying being with him, he was cute, funny, and his family was so interesting. She then listened as he talked about what he wanted to maybe do later in life. "Well I think that is an amazing job with in it's self. It takes special people to teach teenagers all the time." she couldn't help but giggle at her impression of an adult. "Well that's what mom always said at least. She was a high school English teacher. Real Wizardish wasn't she." Minerva wanted to ask about his mom, but wasn't sure how to with him being mad at her. So she decided not to ruin the happiness they were having.
