"How could I forget?" She said with a laugh, "Thank you so very much for saving my life!" She grinned widely at Theodore, then hid behind her fringe again. "Great hi-five," she laughed.

"You're welcome." He seemed pleased that she had called him Theodore, instead of Theo, she'd remember that, in case he ever got on her nerves.

He seemed to pause when he said her name, "do you not like the name Kat? You can call me Kaitlyn if you want, I don't mind." she guessed, though if he didn't like either name, that would be tragic!

"So what year are you in?" She asked and beamed at Theodore.

Theodore squinted his eyes at the girl for a second. She had just blacked out, and was bleeding, but now she was apparently fine. "Are you a vampire?" On another note, he was happy to have finally received the praise he deserved.

THEO THE HERO. Oh my gosh, it rhymed. That nickname.... that he made for himself, would stick forever. :3

"It reminds me of cats, and I don't like cats that much. I also like fuller names, you know?" HE expected to be called Theodore, so he had no problem calling other people by their full name, too. "I'll call you Kaitlyn." Yeah... sounded better.

"First yeeeeeeeear."

And he RULED IT.

Well, kinda... but not really. Sigh. He aspired to rule the school. One day, maybe. "YOU? And are you a Ravenclaw?" He just had to make sure.

"Urmm, definitely not..I'm just different, not a vampire though, I don't bite!" She said, of all the things people assumed when they saw her healing skills, never had she heard vampire. Well, that was something interesting.

"I'm not keen on cats myself, I just remind people of one when I get angry. And it's the only nickname people could come up with," she sighed. "You're the first person to, I like it!" She exclaimed and grinned. It was nice to be called by her actual name, she could get use to it!

"I'm a first year too!" She beamed! Curious, why did it matter? "No, I'm a Hufflepuff, but I was almost a Slytherin," she said with an evil smile "You?"

"Different? Do you have cooties?" Theodore immediately took a few steps back from her. Cooties and Theodore did NOT mix well together. "I ate a Blood Pop once. I felt kinda like a vampire after that." He wanted to be a vampire. And he tried biting his own arm but nothing happened...

When she gets angry? Was she like... THE HULK? Perhaps a few more steps back were necessary. He didn't want to make her angry, though. So he stayed there.

"Really? Full names are cooler." He beamed. "People call me Theo all the time, and I get mad." Not that Theo's rage gets him anywhere...

WOOOOT, FIRST YEARS ASSEMBLE.

Huh... Not another puff.
"That's funny. Cos I'mma Slytherin but almost a Hufflepuff." He stroked his imaginary beard. Very peculiar indeed. Theo raised his eyebrows at her evil smiling. It was kinda scary.

"Noooo! Don't be silly!" She said and frowned a little, he didn't seem to like her that much, okay, bye friend number one! *sad face* "Do you think vampires exist?" she asked, raising her eyebrows at him.

She saw his slightly scared expression and rushed to explain more, "I don't get angry that much, it tends to be I hate you or like you..first impressions count. I doubt I'll get mad at you!" *breatheee*

"Yes, yes they are!" she said, beaming back at him. "Makes you mad, why?" Sure, full names were cooler, doesn't mean that he should get mad if people gave him a nickname..

"Slytherin? Cool, you do seem quite nice for a Slytherin.." She definitely liked the boy..as a friend of course. -shudder- not any other way. o__O

"My family's pureblood and all of them were Slytherin. Except me. But I don't care, cos Hufflepuff is amazing! I sometimes class myself as a Slytherpuff!" She exclaimed and grinned a rare grin at Theodore.

"Goooooooooooood. Just had to make sure, cos... my sister told me bad stories about cooties." And how Theodore would DIE if he got too close to a girl with them. Thank Merlin that Hogwarts seemed to have a lid on it. gFJGFDOGJFD, WHAT? "Of course they exist!!" How had she never heard of vampires?

They were real. He had actually READ about them.

Yep. She was definitely the girl version of The Hulk. He would say it aloud as her new nickname, but she'd probably hit him across the face. Theo scratched his head. "I'll bare that in mind." Look at this! A Hufflepuff thinking she was tougher than a Slytherin! That simply would not do...

"COSMYNAMEISTHEODORE." He snapped. No one understoooooood. It's not that he didn't like the name Theo, it just annoyed him how people were too lazy to say his full name.

Too nice for a Slytherin. Theodore snorted, "You just haven't seen my Slytherin wrath." YET.

"Oh, I see...." A pureblood. They were kinda scary, too. "I dunno what my family would be. They're muggles... and probably all Ravenclaws." Apart from Casper, who would be in Slytherin cos he is EVILLLLL!!!!

"And you believe everything she says?" Kat laughed, sisters would do that, she knew that if she had a brother she'd says things like that to scare him. Great, so he was obsessed with a myth, "have you got any solid proof they exist?" She asked teasingly.

"Calm down Theodore! I know that, no need to take it out on me, I was just asking!" Sheesh, he'd almost given her a heart attack, which was not good.

"Your Slytherin wrath? Sounds scary!" she said with a serious nod.

"I don't know why, but I wish I was a muggleborn. It would make coming to Hogwarts a lot more interesting I think! She explained, "all my family are and were Slytherins, as far back as Hogwarts goes. I guess I'm just a freak." She said with a sigh.

"Of COURSE, she is my sister." Even though she was a cow, most of the time. Both his siblings were naaasty buggers. In fact, if they were magical, Theodore knew that they would BOTH be in Slytherin along with him. Bunch 'o' Slytherin kiddos. Theo stared at her, "I'm pretty sure they were mentioned in Defence Against the Dark Arts class, the other day?"

"Sorry.... Sorry." If she wanted to be friends with Theodore Kinsley, loud outbursts were something to get used to!

Theo nodded quite seriously. "It is rather scary." He whispered.
WOOoooooohoohooOOooh. So scary.

"Being a muggleborn is AWESOME. Apart from some people laugh at me cos I don't know my stuff." Like hair flipping. Theodore blamed his muggle background for not knowing what it was. Cos apparently, wizards were SOOOO good at it.

BLIIIIIIINK. What?! "Why are you a freak?"

Oh dear, does that mean he was gullible or really trusting? She'd find out soon enough! OHHHH! "I've must have not been paying attention," she said innocently..

"It's all good," she assured him and grinned.

"They're probably just jealous, I'd give anything to be a muggleborn!" She said and then continued, "I doubt any of them know everything either."

"Because my family are all Slytherins and I'm a Hufflepuff, they don't like it..and besides, I just am a freak." *sigh*

"That's right." Theodore said proudly. Basically, he just taught Kaitlyn about vampires. He was like the new DADA teacher. Maybe he should BE it when he grows up. OH, THE POSSIBILITIES.

"Anything?" That's a little odd. "Don't chu like your family?" Cos that would be crazy! Theodore found his family extremely irritating but he would never change them. Even his twin brother, who he was quite certain was 100% evil.

It reeeeeeally didn't seem like a big deal to Theodore. But maybe purebloods were different. O_O

"I'm sure they'll get over it." He offered her a smile. But if she was fishing for advice, maybe he should stop her now. Cos that was NOT Theodore's strong point. "And you ain't a freeeeeeeeak."

Kaitlyn grinned at him widely, then wondered..do vampires really exist? It would be soo cool if they did! You know, as long as one didn't kill her or something.

"Maybe not anything, but I would have liked it," she said with a small nod. "Of course I do, I love them. It's just that everyone sees purebloods as being stuck up and stuff. I don't like it when people stereotype me. Plus my parents expect the world from me." She explained and smiled at him, she wondered how different their lives were.

"Maybe, maybe not," she said, returning his smile. Kat laughed lightly and smiled weakly at him, "thanks Theodore, I'm glad someone thinks so."

Lilly wandered along the corridor to where she was going to meet Violet. The swamp. One of the most epic places at Hogwarts. The Weasley twins' swamp. The twins' role-models. Pranksters, brave, twins. Just like them. Heh. They were practically the same. Except in gender, appearance and height. But she did like being blonde. Gave her an excuse to be DIZZY!

She arrived at the swamp but didn't see Violet. They were meant to meet at two. It was seven minutes past. Her twin was always very punctual, unlike her. Maybe she had expected Lilly to be late, and decided not to rush. She checked next to the statues. There! "VIOLET!" She charged towards her twin and squeezed her!

"I..Err...Why are you poking BoBo with a ?" she asked, curiously, after backing away from the random hug. BoBo was her nickname for him. Lilly decided not to mention that if she had a in her bag, she would be doing the same thing, probably. Shame there wasn't one in her bag at that moment, 'cause she would be right there with her twin.

"Hey! What's that drawing of?" Lilly made a wild grab at the sketchpad in Violet's hand. No doubt it would be amazing. Much more amazing than her stick people. Aaaaaaand...yeah, it was. "WOW! Is this BoBo?" It was actually quite OBVIOUS, thinking about it afterwards. "Sooooo cool!" she beamed. "You're amazing, Violet!"

"Got any cupcakes?" she asked, without bothering to hint. Violet was multi-talented. Lilly was multi-talentless. Her twin's cupcakes were a taste of HEAVEN. Delicious. Creamy icing, crispy on the outside but soft in the centre, lovely flavours, just epic. Now she was making herself hungry, and Violet probably didn't have any cupcakes.

Did Lewis tell him this?

Hah! "No," Paulie answered simply. With his next words, he rolled his shoulders in a shrug. "But I'm a guy. Trust me, Blushes, I know." Although, if Kurumi really wanted proof, he supposed she could just ask Lewis. They were dating and everything anyway, so it's not like it would be weird. Or at least Paulie wouldn't have thought it weird. Though, he was rather forward, so..

Blushes? Wait...who was Blushes?

It took Kurumi a few moments to realized that Paulie was addressing her, which ironically made her blush a little bit more. So...this was more of a guy thing and less of a Lewis thing? This really only confused her even more to be honest and her head was now cocked to the other side. "I don't see how that makes sense..." she said, trailing off. How could someone telling you you were bad for them make them want you more?

Boys were confusing.

"Please. Stop. Squeezing. Me," Violet said slowly, gasping for air. She breathed a huge sigh of relief when her twin stopped the hugging thing and released her. "LILLY!" she teased, giggling and suddenly feeling shy. They hadn't seen each other for, like, forever. What was there to talk about? They were completely different.

"BoBo? Is that what he's called?" The Hufflepuff raised an eyebrow. She'd never heard anyone call Boris the Bewildered that before. Then again, when did anyone talk about a statue? "Oh." It did look kind of strange. "Because I had nothing else to do while I was waiting for you. I'll stop now," Violet said, putting the spork back into her bag and coughing. She'd had the cough for a while now, it was strange actually.

She didn't bother struggling when Lilly tried to grab the sketchpad, because she wasn't going to win against Gryffindor determination. Violet looked alarmed when her twin asked who it was. "Why? Does it not look like BoBo?" she asked, anxiously. And she'd thought that it actually looked a little bit okay, unlike her usual pointless trash.

"As a matter of fact, I do have one. I was just going to eat it," she teased. Violet pulled out a pink, tupperware container and handed it to Violet. There were three different cupcakes, one chocolate with pink icing, one rainbow with buttercream icing and one plain with buttercream icing.

There had been a buzz all through the school corridors since all of the frozen prefects and the other students had been unfrozen. Personally, Selina was overjoyed at the news, but it had been several days since she had seen her best friend. Kurumi was running all about, so she had not even seen her since she had been awoken from her frozen sleep state. Even though they shared a dorm with the rest of the Gryffindor girls, Selina would always end up sleeping before Kurumi even arrived and then her best friend always woke up way before Selina did. It was like no matter how hard she tried she could not even get in a second to tackle her best friend who she had missed more than words could express. Seriously, life without Kurumi was extremely dull.

So, she thought it would be wise to try and summon Kurumi to the statues by leaving notes for her in every place she thought Kurumi would be. The note instructed Kurumi to meet her by the statues so they could FINALLY see each other. She attached a note to Kurumi's pillow, to Kurumi's books, to several pots and pans down in the kitchen, and to the back of all of Lewis' robes. That last one was a bit extreme, but hey if it worked!

Now all she had to do was wait... so she sat.

Waking up that morning because of Walnut swatting around a piece of parchment that had been on her pillow, Kurumi and rolled out of bed earlier than usual to toss whatever the parchment had been into the rubbish bin and then packed her books into her bag to head to the library for some more research on her Defense Against the Dark Arts final.

She had been rather surprised to find a note attached to every single one of her books by Selina when she had placed them on her study table. Kurumi had been so concerned with trying to keep her mind off what had happened that she had not made time for her best friend. Although, Kurumi had assumed that she had been busy with Gideon since the two had seemed to make up during her...erm...whatever it had been. So, Kurumi didn't want to act the third wheel in the common room and had let the two be.

Giving up on study then, Kurumi had made a quick trip to the kitchens to make some simple red velvet cookies for Selina...and found more notes. Upon exiting the kitchen and running into Lewis (tehehe) she had found yet another note attached to his back that she had felt rather than saw at first. Which is why she was here now, with a plate full of red velvet cookies fresh out of the oven in one hand.

Spotting Selina, the sixth year's face brightened considerably and she hurried over to her best friend. "So...I...I got your notes," she smiled, placing special emphasis on the 's'.

Selina heard her best friend address her, she turned her head to see her best friend. She was ALIVE! This was great news. The redhead was so excited that Kurumi was now here... And alive... And here. Merlin, it had been so long since she had seen her best friend actually moving about. The last time she had seen her she was frozen on a hospital bed.

Now she was actually here though... And she had gotten her notes. But why was she pronouncing the s so prominently.

"Erm... Yes... Notes... Why do you say it like that?". She had strategically placed all of her notes in places that she knew Kurumi would see. Maybe sowing them onto Lewis' robes was a tad extreme, but Kurumi was here. So obviously it had worked. That was all that mattered- Kurumi was here.

She was about to expand on what she said when she saw a tray of cookies!!! Cookies!!!! Yes!!! "Cookies! ...are they for me?" please be for me...

Kurumi couldn't help but laugh at the perplexed expression on Selina's face. Sure, she may have missed the one on her pillow - not that she even knew it had been there thanks to Walnut - but did Selina think she was blind? "Because there were a lot of them," the sixth year replied as she tucked a strand of her black hair behind her ear shyly. "You really didn't need to leave me so many..."

It sort of made Kurumi feel bad actually. Which really didn't make too much sense.

"Of course," she chirped as she handed the plate over to Selina. "First time baking in....erm...over a month."

However...before Selina got too distracted by cookies...

Kurumi moved the plate out of Selina's immediately view and threw her arms around her best friend. She wanted to say that she had missed her...but it still felt like no time had passed at all.

A lot of notes? Poppycock. There was no such thing as too much of anything! Food, Quidditch, food, friends, food, notes! It was foolish in the least to say that she had supplied her best friend with too many notes. It was like saying that she was giving her too many cookies, which could never be true. Lying was not becoming on a prefect...

"Don't need to leave you so many?" she said increduously, "Well they worked, did they not? So obviously they were needed." She did feel sort of bad that Lewis was probably going to have to invest in a new set of robes due to her sowing job, but she was content with her decision because Kurumi was here. Her raven haired best friend had shown up and they were back together again like the good old days. Best friend power!

She was about to pounce on the cookies, when she heard the small pauses in Kurumi's voice when she mentioned it being a month since she had baked. It was a roundabout way to bring up her time in the frozen freak show. She stopped her hand from attacking the cookies and offered her friend a smile, but she could not keep that up for long because all of the sudden Kurumi was pouncing on Selina and hugging her best friend fiercely, "Wow!"

After regaining her footing she hugged her best friend and whispered, "I've missed you, Rumi... and your cookies."

Okay. There was something about the tone that Selina had just taken with her that made the entire situation more amusing than it actually was. Again, the two had their roles reversed with Selina taking on the position of the mentor telling the pupil what was what. It was something Kurumi appreciated about their friendship. They did fit a mold.

"I guess you have a point there."

But, all those thoughts about notes and the waste of parchment were gone once Kurumi was hugging Selina. She may have almost dropped the plate of cookies so she could get a better hold on the redhead, but it would have been a worthy sacrifice. Well, Kurumi thought so at least. Selina could be another story depending on how hungry she was at the moment.

Smiling, Kurumi pulled back a bit and properly gave the plate to Selina. "It's weird...hearing people say they missed me..." Although, Lewis had sort of said it too and he had apparently been frozen as well. "Just...how much did I miss?"

The fifth year was so wrapped up in finally hugging her best friend that she did not even notice Kurumi fumbling with the tray of cookies for a moment. Regardless of cookies or not, although she was an advocate of cookies, she was glad to see her best friend. It had been a miserable month without her and she had to admit that she was rather lonely without her friend around. However, she was so ridden with worry a majority of her days that she could not wallow in her sadness. Her head was too busy being mad at the lethargic professors who sad idly by as students were frozen.

Once Kurumi did pull out of their hug, she handed Selina the cookies and the redhead took one red velvet cookie bless her soul and popped it in her mouth. But she could eat the cookies later, she would much rather hang out with her best friend than eat. Shocking? Yes. But Kurumi was one of the only people, if not the only person, who she would put food down for.

"Well I missed you loads... that's for sure," Selina smiled at her friend. And then, of course, what she had missed came up. It was only natural to know what one had missed when they checked out for a month. And Kurumi did not go on vacation- she was all frozen. Selina wondered if her back hurt from sitting up straight the entire time.

Tucking a red strand of hair behind her ear, she awkwardly continued, "You missed a lot of class, Kurumi. I mean, I don't even know where to begin. There was Muggle Studies, Transfiguration, Arthimancy, History of Magic... so much. And then there was a lot of homework too. OH AND WE MADE FUNNY HATS! Not that THAT is the most important thing you missed, but Merlin, a lot happens at this school in a month." And she was genuinely sad Kurumi had missed it.

Kurumi smiled, and inadvertently blushed at Selina's words. She was always making her best friend worry about her. Then again, Kurumi was always worried about Selina. It was simply a part of their never ending cycle of friendship and thankfully Kurumi had never seen Selina in a hospital bed the way she had been.

OH SNAP! WAIT! This was one of those moments that people said that they had just jinxed themselves, right? She needed to knock on wood now, right? She had read that in a book somewhere. Looking around for a moment and noticing no wood, Kurumi went with the next best thing and patted Selina's head softly. Yep, just being comforting...nothing weird about this gesture at all.

Kurumi's eyes widened a bit more after each word Selina said. Classes...homework...most likely pop quizzes and perhaps and exam or two... not to mention everything she had missed socially. Kurumi had never felt so out of the loop walking through the corridors and sitting in the Great Hall before. Well, that wasn't true. The last time she had felt this way had been when she was a first year. So, after taking things in for a moment, Kurumi simply opened her mouth to say, "Oh." But then she raised an eyebrow. "Funny hats?"

When Kurumi blushed at Selina's words the redhead could not help a raise an eyebrow. She knew the Kurumi was always shyer of the pair, but honestly they had been friends for so long that she did not think that her genuine words would cause a reaction. Obviously, she was wrong. Although it was nice to know that she had made her friend feel good. After all because of their long-standing friendship it was hard to remember sometimes why they had become friends in the first place. Selina new why she was friends with Kurumi because she was smart, funny, witty and the best friend anyone could ever have, but they had first become friends because they complement one another- personalities and otherwise. Sometimes a reminder of that was nice.

She was about to comment on those very thoughts when her best friend ran over and knocked on her head. Kurumi had been known to do odd things but this, this was one of the weirdest thing she had ever done. The fifth-year kept her eyebrow cocked as she looked at her best friend before asking, "What in Merlin's beard are you doing, Rumi? That's my head silly. Twas not made to e knocked on."

And then she asked about the hats. She supposed it was a random comment, but transfiguration was always random in that regard, "Transfiguration," she replied simply. No need to expand.

"N-N-Nothing," Kurumi stammered. It had been an emergency situation! "I was just...admiring your hair..." Yep, because that made perfect sense. Selina had nice hair, as far as hair was concerned. You know, it stayed one color unless she changed it with some hair dye and all that...

Transfiguartion. Ug. Of all the classes she didn't want to be reminded that she had missed, this would be the one. Ruddy OWLs. "I'm upset I miss that class..." she said, trailing off for a moment. Of course, she was sad to miss classes in general, but that one specifically was frustrating. "Hey, Selina. Do you think you can teach me the spells I missed?" Transfiguration wasn't Potions, this shouldn't cause too much of a disaster between the friends.

Then again, chaos just always had a way of finding them when they paired up for anything.
