Grayson, walked up toward the towers as he slowly made his way to the Gryffindor common rooms. He stopped to think about what the summer was like and what the term at Hogwarts was going to be like.

He wanted to talk to Kurumi as he saw something a bit off with the bubbly girl. Something had happened. But what could have dimmed the light that usually shined from her eyes.

Kurumi just needed to get out of the common room and away from the title of being prefect for awhile. It meant that she had to wear a confidence smile and hold herself in such a manner that was becoming exhausting. Maybe this all would wear off, but for now the prefect was just finding upholding her image to be a little too much.

As she walked, she noticed Grayson hanging out in the corridor and swiftly approached him, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear as she did. "Hey Grayson, what are you doing out here?"

Garyson looked up as he saw Kurumi approaching him. "Apparently waiting for you. Hey." he replied, glancing up behind her,"Why are you out here? Shouldn't you be in there with the first years?"

He was sure Kurumi would be in there handing out more of her famous cookies and helping nervous first years adjusting to their new surroundings of magic. She was very good at that. But not today which meant he was right to think that something was really off with her.

"Waiting for me?" she asked, cocking her head to the side and looking slightly confused. "Is there something wrong?" Because she thought that there was something a bit off in the way that he had dismissed their conversation at the opening feast. So, maybe he needed some advice? Kurumi wasn't very good at giving it though. She was a good listener, so she could offer that to him at least.

"I am sure that Paulie and Gideon can handle them for now. Besides, someone should make one last patrol and make sure everyone is in their common rooms." She winked at Grayson. Unlike him who was clearly not in his.

He chuckled and said,"I was kidding. I was just heading to the common room, slowly. I was hoping to see you. I couldn't help but notice that something about what I said earlier might have upset you. I'm not beating behind the bush. I saw a really strange look in your eyes. One that I recognize all too well. Are you ok?"

Grayson was always one to get to the point. It made no sense to not get to the point of the conversation. Life doesn't have time to wait around for one to get to the point. It goes on and it may pass you by.

He looked at her searching her face for any clue as to what was off. He could feel a difference in her presence but he really couldn't put a finger on it."It's ok. If you don't want to say it's fine. I just want to make sure you're ok." he admitted to her.

Kurumi raised an eyebrow playfully and was about to tell him that that was a very likely story but she wasn't buying it when his words hit her like a ton of bricks. Her hands flew to the corners of her eyes again almost wondering if their color was back to normal. Only she knew they weren't. They weren't violet anymore despite the apparent flicker they had done at the feast in front of Lewis. Nope...her eyes were still a very unnatural chocolate brown.

"I'm...alright," she nodded slightly unconvincingly. She was physically fine, minus her metamorph abilities being switched off for whatever reason, but her spirit was still crushed. "It was just...a really hard summer for me and my family...nothing for you to worry about." She bit her lip instantly because she knew that he was worrying about it or else they wouldn't be here like this right now.

Grayson looked at her as different thoughts and emotions played across her face. Then he noticed that he eyes were brown and not violet. Then she answered. He realized it was something very personal and she didn't want to disclose anymore so he wasn't going to pry anymore.

"I can see that it was, it's affecting you. I'm not asking for any details but if you need someone who doesn't care to spill secrets you can talk to me. I'm here if you just want to sit and stare at nothing until you feel a little better. ok?", he said before leaning away from the wall that was supporting him.

He knew what it was like to walk around with a burden by himself with no one to turn to, since everyone was busy holding him at arms length, some at the point of a wand.

Damon stood there waiting patiently, he and Minnie had planned to meet up here. He sighed, debating everything that had happened the night before. Him admiting that he loved Taylor, and then having somehow gone from his love of Taylor to his crush on Minnie. He did want to give her a chance, but he wasn't starting to debate whether he had chosen the best time for him to ask. Damon sighed, he was happy he and Min. were togther, it wasn't that... he just worried how it was going to effect everything else.

Minerva was in such a good mood. First day of classes was amazing, she had no problems like she did last term. Maybe this term was going to become a great year. She thought about her classes as she walked through the castle up to where she was meeting a special guy that should be waiting for her. She felt bad for being late, but she had stayed to speak with the professor after class. "Hey Ash" she smiled and kissed his cheek. "How was your classes today, other then getting to dress so cute in Divinations this morning." she giggled a bit.

Damon smiled at her as she walked over to him, "Hey, they've been rather dull actually. Divination's was probably the most entertaining of them all." He wondered if he'd noticed his eyes were brown now... Yep, Ash was back entirely now.

Minerva giggled a bit. "Well I did enjoy dressing up and you didn't look to bad in those outfits." she then frowned "I have never seen you with the brown before. Taylor told me about them, but until now I haven't seen them." she wasn't sure if she liked them or not, but who was she to judge when she changed her own on the train. "So what other classes did you have today?"

"Charms and herbology." He sighed, hearing Taylors name he felt a small flicker of anger. After he'd told her she'd became a little brat, "Please don't talk about her to me..."

Minerva sighed this was worse then she thought it was going to be. How was she could to help this situation. She decided to let it go for now. "Fine, I won't bring her up again." She put her arm around him. "So you don't happen to know the spell to transfigure clothes into a dress do you? I have a little bone to pick with Harvey later." she gave a little smirk. The joke had been going on since first term and she was ready for it not to be a joke any longer.

Damon nodded thanks and wrapped his arms around her, "Can't say I do." He shrugged, "Dare I ask why you want to know anyways?"

Minerva got a huge grin. Does she dare say her plan, he is going to think she is an evil person or something. She chuckled a bit, "Okay well you know I love to change my hair, lengths and color. Well I have always had a joke with Harvey with changing his hair and since our first term I have threatened him that I was going to place him in a dress. I now know what I want it to look like, I just need the spell."

Damon chuckled, shaking his head, "And Harvey is supposed to be your best friend..." He shook his head, "I swear you could've fooled me."

Minerva laughed a little "He is my best friend, but it's still fun to joke with him. I feel bad every once in awhile when I do things to him, but in the end he has been there for me when others weren't. He doesn't mind the jokes and I always put everything back the right way when I'm done. Do you think I'm horrible for doing this stuff to him?"

Damon shook his head, "Not at all. It's one of the things I like about you. No matter what you always seem so happy and you're always trying to have fun." He kissed her lightly, "And you're always there when someone needs you."

Minerva sighed "I'm not always happy." she reached around and gave him a tight hug. She knew he was still hurting, and was happy he was giving them a chance, but she still had this bad feeling that his heart was still hers. "You okay, Ash? I mean I know things were not the best today, but anything you need to talk about?"

He nodded, "I'm fine. It wouldn't be a normal day without a little drama... I mean first it was from Maxwell... Then Rowan... and now Taylor..." He shrugged, "I'll get over it. I always do."

Minerva looked at him. She hated seeing him so upset and then there was the dungeons she cringed thinking about that conversation. "I know you will, but I still worry about you." she gave him a small kiss. "Why did you decide to go brown again?" she guessed the reason, but she needed to hear it from him. She loved his green eyes and felt like she was looking into someone else's eyes with them being brown.

He shrugged, "That's the rest of Ash." He sighed, "Ash has brown eyes..." He pulled out the contact, showing the green that hid underneath, "Damon has green." He sighed. Yes, the brown eyes were less intense then the green ones but at the same time, he felt like maybe he should go back to being Ash fully for a while see if it would help with him changing back into the loner he was meant to be but after entering the social world, he'd sadly learned, that you can't go back to being the quiet one always being left alone without seeming like a huge jerk.

Minerva frowned a bit, worried to think what was coming to her mind. Was he going to pull away from her. If he wanted to be Ash completely then maybe he wouldn't want a girlfriend at all. "Ash, I don't mind the brown eyes, like I said I like you for you, not which way you want to look." she looked away for a second then back up making eye contact. "Your not trying to pull away from everything doing this change back are you?" she couldn't bring herself to saying pull away from me. She just got to be with him and now she felt like she was going to lose him just as quick.

Damon shook his head, "Not from everyone, just some." He sighed, "I'm just surprised how hard it is to stop talking to some people... It's harder now that I've been introduced to everyone here."
