The glittering night sky is clear and visible through the enchanted ceiling, and the floating candles bedeck the entire hall in a warm golden light. All seems well with the world, aside from the empty plates still waiting for food to appear.

Hmm.‘I’m not sure’, she admitted, trying to figure out an answer for what Cassia was asking her. Well… she was leaning more to believing that it got harder. Or maybe it was always the same? Just definitely not easier.
Hmm. Another person with siblings, the fourth year thought as she heard Cassia talk. She did envy the people who had sisters or brothers… Gwen always wished she had siblings. Now- what plans did she have for the summer? Gwendolyn remained silent for a moment, and then started talking. ‘I will b going to France with a friend for a couple of weeks...’, the fourth year explained, and was about to add something, but stopped herself as she heard the Slytherin talk. What was she saying?
OWLs.
Oh. Why was everyone reminding her of the exams? ‘That’s right’, the girl mumbled. She had been planning to at least finish reading a few books over the summer… but Joanna told her she should leave that for next year. Her friend should know… since she was a fifth year now. Oh. Right. Gwen suddenly remembered that she still hadn’t talked to JoJo.
Well, Cassia noticed that older students had different feelings for leaving. Not totally different but surely not like a first year. She'll probably understands better when she grows up and spend more time at Hogwarts. Maybe there are not so cool things about school that Cassia hadn't encountered yet. Or perhaps it varies from a student to another.
The Slytherin listened to what Gwen was saying ,"Wow France!" She repeated, "That's so cool." Cassia told her. If Cassia was the one who was going to France she would now be jumping and dancing probably. Unlike Gwen who said it matter-of-factly. Cassia loved to travel, though she had been to a couple of places in her life but it's always her parents that usually travel while Cassia and her brother remain with their grandmother. Her father travels a lot because of his job not like a holiday.
"You must be really excited," Cassia said, "You know becoming a fifth year has its joy right?" Just like becoming a second year. It was probably visible on her face that she was very happy that she now finished her first year and became a second year. Finally she won't be the youngest clueless girl. And she was hoping to get taller during the summer too. She can't wait to meet next year's newbies.

She stared at Elise who was now making her ease up, "You cried. What can I do?" she uttered. And then se felt her fingers wiped tears from her face. What a beautiful friend. "What really happened? Why are you crying?" Erin asked wiping a tear from Elise's face as well.
Elise smiled, releasing her friend and listening to the Professor Tate give his speech. It was cryptic, like most of his speeches, but this one... Elise knew something was up. He was leaving. So was Professor Williamson. And Professor Jenkins.
"They don't know what's wrong with him" she admitted before shaking her head. "I'm okay now. Really. We're going to have heaps of fun this summer. And I'll teach you the piano. Okay?"
Seeing a few people like Louisa and people from other houses clapping, Elise got to her feet and brought her hands together slowly. Again and again. Just slow clapping. It was kind of like a thank you without words.
Taylor nodded, "Yeah, probably." She laughed and smiled, still petting Mel.
Ameliah frowned as she thought a moment. "I think you've met all my pets 'sept for Dwalin. You remember Einreal, right?" Einreal was only the BEST goldie ever! She went on adventures with Ameliah in the house, and would even let Mel ride on her back while she was still re-learning to walk.
‘It is an interesting sport. I think I started liking it… Though, I’m not sure if I’m any good at playing’, the fourth year replied. Mhm. That was true. She was still considering trying out next term. Maybe… maybe not… She had been thinking about joining the Quidditch team since last year, but she eventually backed out. There were people who deserved to be on the team a lot more than her, and she was not just going to try out and… fail. No. Failure was something she couldn’t admit.
‘That’s great’, she commented as she heard Taylor say she was going to France too. ‘Which part of France will you be visiting?’ She was just curious. Gwen remained silent for a moment, just listening to the other Ravenclaw talk about her plans for the summer.
‘Looks like you will have a full summer’, Gwendolyn pointed out as she listened to Taylor enumerate all the places she will be visiting. She had been to Egypt last summer, since her father had to stay there for work… curse breaking seemed interesting, but since she couldn’t stay and observe what the people were doing there, she had been exploring the pyramids and the wonderful places in Egypt. That has really been a great holiday.
Taylor smiled at Gwen, "It is indeed an interesting smile." She nodded. "Well I aint good at it so it is okay if you arent." Tay twisted her ring a little bit, "Marseille and near the Loire River here and there. What about you?" She nodded, "Yeah, I do."

Ahh the Gryffindor table was getting pretty boring. Ronnie wished Rose and Jordan could be with her...but she hadn't seen them at all this term. Her two best friends just had to be gone...she really missed them a lot. She couldn't stand this anymore. She was going to go hunt them down this summer and give them a piece of her mind!
She walked to the Ravenclaw table and smiled at Taylor and all the others. "Hi guys, I'm back." she said chuckling and sitting back down in her spot. "The Gryffindor table is pretty boring over there. I don't have many lion friends.." she said with a frown, glancing at the lion table and then back at everyone else.

Taylor smiled, "Well you are welcome to stay here with the eagles." She glanced at the hufflepuff table and silently sighed then looked back at Ronnie, giving a half smile. "We are friendly and dont bite... most of the time." Tay gave Ronnie a wink and chuckled.
