Large quantities of food are spread before you. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Hogwarts' house elves are the best in the world. The food is superb and the company is as well.
Aspen was intent on her shoes, sitting cross-legged under the table. She'd unglued one with her wand, but was leaving the other studying purposes.
Of course, she kept one eye on Joao.
...and the Prefect having a strange hair day.
Shrug. No matter to Aspen. Probably she felt obligated to help? Since she was a Prefect? She'd probably be mad about House Points or some nonsense, too, so Aspen stayed under the table to keep some cover from retaliatory Joao AND to skip the lecture.
Though, the Prefect could hardly talk. SHE had list 20 points in HoM for disrespect; Aspen had lost 50 for overachieving a Charms assignment.
João readied himself for shooting a hex at the approaching person. He had decided upon the tickling charm so that Aspen can laugh forever until someone stopped her--he figured it fit with her condescending of his sliiiight affection--he even raised his wand...
...and froze right with left hand high in the air.
"...Louisa?" This... this wasn't true. It couldn't be. She... just as he and Aspen was... and he had even told Aspen!.. He lowered his hand and blinked his surprise away. So, apparently, Aspen was still glued to the spot that Louisa could approach him freely. For some reason, it drove him mad how she was still glued, but he wasn't going to do anything about it.
"Yes, I can get up." No, he wasn't 'OK'. He was hurt. Emotionally. Logically. By some stupid Ravenclaw girl. He got up and didn't even wince or rub his arm, although it required some rubbing, in case Aspen still watched them. He didn't look back or aim his wand at her. He wasn't going to just assault a girl. He wasn't going to be that 'low'. No, he had other plans.
Plans that would humiliate Aspen Odessa completely.
"Let's go." He needed some company. Surely Louisa would understand?
Louisa frowned at his wand-hand... ohh, he wasn't going to use it. Good. Also good that he could get up, even if he didn't answer the 'are you ok' one. In all honesty, she thought those two were talking about something a bit cheerful... more than a bit, hence her earlier antics completely understandable logical and mature attitude.
Let's go? The Prefect was about to ask him 'where' but she just blinked at him and pointed at the girl cowered under the table behind them, "Err.. I need to do something first to your... friend. Odessa, right?" She was famous. To Louisa. Not in a good way. The Prefect didn't wait for Joao to follow or prevent her or even say anything, she just whirrled on her heels and headed where the girl was sitting weirdly with one shoe off the ground and the other one apparently still glued.
Ahem.
"I saw you hexing him," Louisa addressed the girl as formally as she mustered, ignoring the glued shoe, "Not impressive when his back is the one facing you." So it was pretty childish. Oh and lecture mode is on, "And I think fifty point loss per term is more than enough. I'm not going to report you to anyone now since professors have their hands full already with real issues..." such as kids and professors turning into motionless statues, including their Head of House, "... but I'm watching you, Odessa." She squinted her eyes at the girl.
About the shoe.... Louisa gave it an awkward nervous look. That's about it.
Bee just couldn't place the girl, she was just, what was she? Well she certainly wasn't like people she'd met and she knew she was jumping to conclusions here and there were probably more people who were more weird than this little lone girl but still she was just... "I don't know I can't place it your just...," She paused, "...Something" she finished. Woah was she bound to be wrong there. Sigh.
Okay so back to the magazines? She liked that idea. A muggle? Did she seem like a muggle? Well suppose with her upbringing being classed as a muggle was better then what she actually was. Sigh. "Uh, no I'm a pure blood.." She paused, "Sort of" She added as if as an undertone. She looked down at her magazine, she just wanted to go back to her dorm and her magazines, but looked up when the older girl said her name. She raised her eyebrows as if to say, 'yeah?'
Erin was something? Erin thought, that would do...but that was all, just for now. She would show this girl that she wasn't just something, she was somebody and one and unique and awesome.
She looked directly at the small Eagle and totally understand what she was saying about being a sort of Muggle. She was kind of like that. Erin grew up in a pure Muggle home with pure Muggle family but turned out to be a Pureblood when she found out about her true identity. Though, Erin knew that she may have a different story, she could just save that question for another time, right? They lived in the same common room after all. Yes, her name was actually Bee! "I...I just have a friend who's got the same name as yours..." and with a whisper, Erin uttered, "...my bestfriend." The one that she's got a misunderstanding. And without intending to, she caught a glimpse of her watch and it says it's already time for Charms. One should go now or she'll be late. She immediately stood up and nod at Bee, "Oh! I've got Charms. Gotta go. See you later!" And with that, Erin half run, away from the Great Hall.

Hmm.
He was fine. She knew he would be. But .... some part of her expected him to retaliate. To turn back. To come back and yell at her and lose his words in his thick accent. He didn't though, and that... was interesting, too.
SPOILER!!: Prefect Girl

Oh really.
....
Aspen turned and sat cross legged on the floor, still under the table, with her glued sneaker to her side now. Naturally, the Prefect was saying all these.... "things" and the 5th years head tilted ever so sliiiiiightly.
"If you saw me hexing him, as Prefect, you should have prevented it. I don't find that very impressive on your part."
And also, since Aspen had her wand out anyway, she just went ahead and did a QUICK, close range hex to the Prefect - to the FRONT. A simple, but effective Jelly-Fingers Curse, where Louisa wouldn't be able to use her fingers for.... oh the rest of the day.
"A curse to the back, or a hex to the front all comes out with the same results. No difference," she stated simply, her just-fired wand tapping innocently on the wood bench in front of her.

Louisa's fingers went numb.
The girl looked down and found a HORRIBLE AWFUL SAD TRAGIC scene. Her fingers were all loose and jelly-like. Most importantly, she couldn't feel or move them.
The stupid Odessa girl just hexed her.
And had the dignity to talk and continue with her cold attitude.
Louisa lost it. She kicked the bench where the other Ravenclaw was perched up with all her might, her face turning deep red and her heart going crazy. "You just hexed me, you idiot! I can't believe there is someone who is this cold!" Louisa kicked the bench once again before making an attempt to raise her hand and point a finger at the girl but... SHE COULDN'T. So she just glared at her, tried to swallow the saliva that was weirdly being produced actively in her mouth.
Their head of house was frozen.. professor Gemma wouldn't take a firm stand against the girl and would probably ask for an apology and call it a 'problem solved' so Louisa had really no choice in dealing with the girl 'officially'... "Like I said, I'm watching you, Odessa." And with that she turned on her heels passing Joao, who got a hateful look from Louisa just because she was fuming, and headed for the door.
... maybe she should head for the headmaster himself to put an end to this hexing crazed girl. Since her fingers were JELL-O right now too.. she had her proof.
João shrugged at Louisa, although he wished she didn't go to talk. Aspen... wasn't being Aspen. Well, she was. But something was off. Or maybe something was excess, like when she laughed at him. All in all, Louisa was gone. It would be interesting to watch, actually. Or would have been, if Aspen Odessa hadn't cowered to answer him truthfully.
Only, he couldn't hear them so well there over the noise of the hall.
He wondered why Louisa wouldn't just turn back as soon as she was finished. He was tired after all the fight, he was wet, and he was humiliated. He just wanted to go back to his dorm. But he stuck around and waited for Louisa. For some reason, he was very tense about this and just couldn't leave. He could feel something would happen.
And it happened alright. Apparently, Aspen deemed it was okay to hex Louisa too, because that was exactly what Louisa yelled after 'losing it'. He closed his eyes for a moment and wished fiercely this was a dream. He rarely wished, so maybe it would come true... but it didn't. Louisa's kicking sound was there. He figured it was time to intervene, or else, it would end uglier than it already was. He took a few steps towards them but Louisa was already making her last speech... or sentence. Now that he was closer, he could hear it well and wanted laugh madly. It was childish, funny and meant nothing to Aspen. But he didn't. Because it was rude and because he was too tired to laugh. Instead, he bent down to look at Aspen as if he pitied her.
"Disappointment," he muttered as loud as she could hear, still at a funny angle. He didn't know whether it would have an effect on her, but that was how he thought of her right now and he wanted her to know that as the last thing she would get from him. After holding her gaze another second, he simply turned around and followed Louisa.
Thus, Odessa won her stupid challenges. He was going to play no more.

That'd make her a rat though...
Yeah.... that didn't make sense. Wouldn't the person that GOT hexed be the idiot? Aspen shrugged at her and chose not to pick apart the Prefect's logic.
And then... she was watching her? Again, Aspen blinked at the logic. The Prefect had watched her get Joao, and then she had watched Aspen hex HER, right THEN. Perhaps, the Prefect was doing a little too much watching.
The kick probably hurt shrieky prefect more than it did Aspen, but.. okay. Point made. The Prefect was mad.
SPOILER!!: Joooaaaooo

Which part?
Which part was disappointing to him? He couldn't just make a BROAD declaration like that and walk away...
...it was SO tempting to stop him again, to go SIT on him and demand answers. SO tempting. In fact, Aspen even raised her wand and began the incantation... but...
Stopped herself. Did she CARE that he was disappointed in something? DID she? Possibly her? She was the one disappointed! He was leaving without fulfilling his deals.
So.
"Likewise," Aspen replied, though he probably didn't hear. He was off after Jelly-Digits. Nooo matter. Aspen un-stuck her other shoe, gathered them both up, and carried her shoes and her wet self back upstairs.
Taylor had been up in the dorm room since the day of the hufflepuff match. She had been in a lot of pain but she didnt want to disappoint Nate with not coming to his match. Tay had been stuck in bed ever since that day. Taylor phone and scroll werent near her and she couldnt sit up enough to get them. This was the first day that she could get up and move and so she went and poured a couple of pumpkin juice, sitting down at her house table.
Tay looked up and her smile and face brighten at seeing her wonderful boyfriend. She stood up and gently pulled him a little bit so that they were both leaning across the table. Taylor gave him a kiss and smiled. "Why dont you come around and sit with me?" Tay had missed him so much.
Damon looked at her slightly surprised, "I didn't know if you'd want me to." He did quickly went over to her side though, "After what happened after your game..."
Taylor looked at him confused. "Why wouldnt I want you to sit with me? I mean we are dating after all... I wasnt that mad and after meeting up with the team, I realized that you were just trying to look out for me and that you were worried which is kinda of sweet actually." Tay smiled and reached for his hand.
Erin was something? Erin thought, that would do...but that was all, just for now. She would show this girl that she wasn't just something, she was somebody and one and unique and awesome.

Blair looked around the table for something to drink, she was pretty thirsty after all this talking, and pulled a jug of orange juice towards her to top of her glass. Mmmm. Sip. Placing it back on the table she looked across at Erin as she spoke. There was someone else with her name? Uh...but but, "But my name's Blair not Bee. Bee's a nickname, unless this girl is called Blair really it doesn't matter" I mean loads of people have the same name around her right? Yeah. Sigh. Bee however didn't catch that last bit of the girl's sentence.
She didn't own a watch but she was pretty good with knowing when it was time to leave and that time was now. She pulled her magazine back across the table and bent down to put it in her bag when Erin jumped up again. Woahhh. She thought looking up sharply. She vaguely heard something before the girl ran off, Blair watched her leave, "Yeah bye!" She called after her before standing up slowly and making her way out of the Great Hall to go attend some class of her's or something.
Damon looked at her, "I just thought maybe you wanted a little space," He sighed, "You've not been speaking to me at all. Not answering the scroll or your phone... Had me worried half to death that you were really hurt." He lightly took her hand as she reach for his, kissing it lightly, "Any yes, I know... I worry way to much."
Tay blushed at the kiss on the hand. "You are very charming." She kissed his cheek. "And since I believe in honesty in a relationship... I havent been avoiding your calls or the scroll." Taylor looked at him, "I had them on my trunk when I went to sleep after the hufflepuff match that I went to, to cheer on Nate. In the morning I was hurting too bad to get up and it was like that for most of the time."
"Bad enough for you not to move." Damon looked at her, "At least you're alright now." He smiled, trying to get away from the pain, knowing it would bring mention of the healer and he didn't want to go back to that again...
He sighed, "It depends on if you're playing." Damon nodded, "If you do, then of course I'll be cheering you on. If not, I'll be rooting for Minerva and my house, that I don't really like." He chuckled smiling at her.
