Default Prefects' Compartment

The prefects have their own compartment. They hold a meeting every year and you can find help here if you need it. Prefects' only, please, unless you have been invited or need assistance!

Like how Apple was Sierra. See, perfectly normal. Perhaps she ought to give all the prefects fruit nicknames. "Selena is my name, but Sel is shorter," she said. Really, how did this kid become prefect if he couldn't put two and two together? Selena just hoped the kid liked pygmy puffs and chocolate.

Was he also asking what he liked? People were so confusing these days. "That's nice," Selena said slowly, eying the cat. "Cats are not allowed to eat my pygmy puff, okay?" Selena said, eying the cat that had been distracted. Good. It was gone. And she was going to have to find a way to get rid of all the cats here.
Oh. So she HAD heard him say his name. Then why the other name? Lewis was a nice enough name wasn't it? Did she not like it? Should he ask her why she didn't like it? Or did she just...prefer nicknames? Yes, maybe that was it. "Oookay." Lewis agreed slowly not really too keen on getting into an argument with the Head Girl. She was like their boss after all, so she could do with them whatever she wanted.

And that included giving them nicknames.

So she had a nickname too. That was nice. "Sel. Got it." He repeated, nodding like the good student that he was. If she wanted him to call her Sel then he would. Miss Head Girl Sel. But now they stopped talking about ice cream and were back on cats. Confusing...very confusing. "Yes. I agree. Yes. Of course." He nodded quite vigurously again while his eyes went up to the Pygmy Puff on top of her head again.

Why would anybody want to eat that anyway?

Hesitating, Evelyn extended her hand and lowered it. She gently tapped the cat's head..still not feeling good about this. She quickly pulled back her hand. "You happy now?" She looked at her, her eyebrows raised.
Bounce Bounce Bounce

Vanilla was sort of hopping on her hindlegs while trying to get up onto the seat. But it was SOOOOO HARD! Ugh. And now she was almost losing her balance too. Wobbling a little on the spot she finally gave up and sat down next to the girl's feet again and continued her nudging her head. Love meee!

Ooh and now she was petted. On the head too. By the upset girl. Who looked better now. Go her! Purring loudly she tried to push her head against the girl's hand again but it was gone too quickly. So in the end Vanilla just sat down again with her back turned towards the girl. She wasn't going to leave her side. There was something upsetting her and she was going to protect her from it.

Whatever this it was.

Oh good, she'd just accepted his congratulations without commenting on them. Like that they're a year late or something. No, she just said thank you. Which was really nice. She seemed nice. "You're welcome." That still didn't mean that they would beat the Hufflepuff Quidditch team this term. Just saying. Ahem

And he got a name too. Maybe after this trip he would actually know all the names of the Student Leaders. "I'm Lewis." The Hufflepuff replied with a small smile for the Slytherin girl. She was one of the nice Slytherins. Like Taryn.

Lewis was still looking at him expectantly, so the smile he gave him did not go by unnoticed. Only he didn't know what it meant. It was confusing. And of course he had noticed. He wasn't trying to point out the obvious. He had actually for once tried to say something which only implied a question without actually saying it out loud. This question being why in the world Professor Hadley had thought that he would make a good Prefect.

Which he did answer. Or well, not really but at least he commented. "Y-you think so?" He was talking about him not Evelyn of course. Lewis couldn't think of a reason why Evelyn wouldn't be an excellent choice. So there he was staring at Keefer again, waiting for him to give him a good reason.

Instead he asked about the topic Lewis had been trying to avoid for Kurumi's sake though. But then again, he didn't really mention the word 'summer' or anything and Kurumi probably wasn't listening to them anyway soooo..."It was...fine, yes." It had been good to be back home again for a while. "How was yours?" Keefer had probably been working on Quidditch strategies and ways to make practices more fun and efficient 24/7.

Oliver. Lewis' eyes flickered back and forth between the cat and the Slytherin's face a couple of times before finally resting on the feline again. He didn't really like meeting other people's gazes so the cat it was. It wasn't as likely to dislike him staring at it. At him. At Oliver.

Brilliant. So, now he knew the boy's cat's name but not his. Maybe he didn't want to share it with him. "That...that's Vanilla." Lewis gestured to the cat which had now settled with just sitting at Evelyn's feet like a watchdog. Or well, you know, watchcat.

"Not that I consider you a stranger!" She blurted out waving her hands before her crazily. GAH! Her tongue was the embarrassing one, "I mean, she just likes licking shoes for some reason." She shrugged one shoulder and looked down at his hand.

... which wasn't only one hand. But two. No, like, he was holding Kurumi's hand. And she was moving her thumb over it. Slowly. Like, gently. Like, not very friendly. Louisa's eyebrow furrowed together. Would Jonathan actually approve of this? Wasn't he the one supposed to be holding her hand like this? Louisa only assumed that because of that flirting act she pulled off with Paulie last year. She'd hold his hand and done the same thing with her thumb.

PFFFFT. She probably was just overanalyzing things.

However, the Gryffie prefect did not answer her question about the holiday merely nodded her head. Huh. Interesting. Louisa just let it go.

Viola, on the other hand, merely stared at the nudging other cat for a moment before meowing at her for a couple of times as a friendly response and then followed her (Vanilla) to the girl (Evelyn) to lick her own shoes. THERE WERE JUST SO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM. And it appeared that her owner did not mind this time. PURR.

Lewis looked back up from the cat at his feet and at the girl addressing him. The Ravenclaw Prefect. Whose name he didn't know. Why didn't they just give you a list of names of the other Prefects and Student Leaders you were going to work with? They could just easily attach it to the letter they got. That would be extremely helpful. It would save them a lot of awkward introductions.

And now she was apologizing for her cat? "It's fine." Really. As long as it wasn't going to pee on his shoes, he didn't mind. And they kind of WERE strangers, weren't they? Since they didn't know each other's names. That was the definition of a stranger, right? "I'm Lewis." See, now there, they weren't strangers anymore. Problem solved. Though she had just gone out of her way to state that she didn't think they were strangers anyway, so maybe she knew his name already.

His eyes fell on her hands and the way she was flailing them around made him cock his head to the side a little in confusion. Was she...waving at him? As a way of saying hello maybe. So it was only polite to wave back right? So that's what Lewis did. Though, not as frantically as the Ravenclaw. "Hello." Now they definitely weren't strangers anymore, right?

Fortunately for him, Lewis missed the Prefect staring at his and Kurumi's hands or else he would have probably freaked out a little. And turned to color of tomatoes. So yeah, good for him that he instead just followed the girl's cat with his eyes when it walked over to where Vanilla was trying to get Evelyn's attention. It seemed she had found a partner in crime...or well, not crime but you know.

Looking up, she saw that Ellie had entered the compartment and she cocked her head to the side as she shushed the feline who looked as though he were about to take a flying leap across the compartment.

"Hey....Ellie..." she managed to say, her eyes only meeting hers briefly before looking out the window.

Kurumi was sort of still lost in her thoughts, namely how Adam hadn't even bothered to tell any one that he wouldn't be coming back and just how inconsiderate and pompous of him that had been. Was he expecting her to then write him, begging for answers about why he had left and not told anyone? Well, he had obviously told Professor Bentley, but that was beside the point. Well...too bad for you, Adam Burn, Kurumi was done. She would put the same effort into being friends as he was: none.

"No...I mean... of course you don't..." she stammered, noting Selina's look. What? She hadn't raised her voice at all nor had her tone been anything less of shock and confusion. Her eyes went back to Gideon now, chewing on her lip nervously as her hand loosened its grip around Lewis' just a little - but it still wasn't going anywhere.

"Um...congratulations," she offered him a weak smile, but her thoughts and feelings were too wrapped up in confusion to be able to really do much more. Once she wasn't an emotional wreck about everything...whenever that happened.

"Hey Kennedy," Kurumi said with a faint smile, again. Kennedy and her had had a few moments last term, opening up about things regarding the family situations which had some what surprised the Gryffindor. Not to mention he had sort of become her dueling partner whenever there was some sort of practice going on.

Kurumi's smile widened a bit more as Keefer spoke. "I'm pretty sure it does." But it looked at though the Quidditch captain didn't need to be told so as he was already reaching out and scratching her cat behind the ears. Still, Kurumi couldn't help but hold her breath JUST in case he tried something.

Walnut was clearly pleased with being called handsome, but her preferred to have a long string of compliments attached to said word. He did have the sleekest coat around and the best tail. Although...Vanilla's tail wasn't so bad now that he looked at it.

Kurumi's eyes locked on Lewis', wishing that this time she would be able to transmit a message with her brown eyes but knowing that this was far too complicated to be understood by just a look. Not that the previous messages they had shared with unspoken words were not, but this time there was a history. A long one.

Kurumi leaned her head in towards Lewis. "I'll...tell you later..." she whispered so that only they could hear, her eyes meeting his again briefly before sitting straight again.

She didn't notice the rise in color of Lewis' cheeks, but her own were certainly matching and her thumb was back to softly rubbing against his hand.

Kurumi's attention was back on Kimalia now as she continued to chew on her lip a little. Merlin, she needed to pull herself together or else people were going to be back to asking if she was alright and, well, that would be bad for Lewis since she would probably cut off the circulation to his hand because she was squeezing it too hard.

Her hair? Oh, right. The hand that had been scratching Walnut reached up and touched the bun on top of her head, her cheeks flushing just a bit more. "Oh...um...thank you," she said, still unable to take compliments from anyone since, well, she never thought she deserved them. "Not...really... I sort of just did it as I was running out the door..."

Which was sort of a lie because the silkiness of Kurumi's hair always made styling it difficult. It was why she usually just wore it down. Just run a brush through it and done sort of thing.

It did suit...er...herself? Kurumi sort of just bowed her head again in appreciate for the offer, but chocolate frog would forever be a thing of nightmares for her. Yes, thank you Charms for forever making her afraid of hopping chocolate.

"He wouldn't if he knows what's good for him," she said, eyeing Walnut as his tail swished back and forth - his eyes still on Ellie.

But then...something happened that caused Kurumi to jump slightly and scoot even closer to Lewis - almost to the point where she was sitting on his lap. THERE WAS A CHOCOLATE FROG ON THE WINDOW!!! "Kyaaa!" Forget Lewis' hand, Kurumi's arm wrapped around his and she sort of clung to him as Walnut LEAPED off her lap and dove across the compartment to Ellie's where he stood on his hind legs and staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaared at her.

The frog jumped off the window, on to Kurumi's head and somehow mangaged to get itself tangled up in Lewis' hair. "Oh, Merlin," Kurumi whimpered as she saw the thing struggle to break free. THERE WAS A CHOCOLATE FROG IN LEWIS HAIR! EW EW EWEWEEW! Kurumi inhaled deeply and, now that her one hand was free, began to tangle it in his hair to try and rid if of the MONSTER.

"Lewis...just hold still," she said, her eyes focused entirely on the chocolate frog in his hair and trying to untangle it. Admittedly, Kurumi did momentarily forget that she was trying to get the frog out and twirled a few locks of hair in her fingers before returning to the task at hand.

"There!" she chirped as the frog LEAPED out of his hair, only to land on Selina's chest and stay there for a few moments before it made another jump...this time right in the direction of two first years who had made their appearance at the compartment.

Where was Walnut during all this? He was still staaaaaaaaaaaaring at Ellie while sitting on her lap.

At least Kurumi had losened her grip on his hand a little which meant two things, both of which were good. 1. She was slowly starting to feel better and less agitated and 2. his hand wasn't in danger of being without blood circulation any longer. Because he really wanted to still be able to use both of his hands after this train ride.

More importantly though - or well, you know, you can't really compare those two things - Kurumi seemed to be feeling better.

Not that that explained anything about why she was so upset about Adam being gone. This Gideon person didn't seem too bad either. He liked Potions so he definitely got awesome-points for that. So when she met his gaze Lewis was hoping that there would be some kind of explanation coming from her about her outburst but there was nothing. All he got was a look which was very hard to read. Couldn't they just TALK about things once in a while instead of trying to convey messages through their eyes. That was just so...confusing. And uncertain.

He groaned inwardly when she told him that she would tell him later - somehow there was never a now with them - but was soon back to trying to keep himself from blushing when he felt her thumb rubbing circles on his hand. There really was no reason for her to still be holding onto his hand anymore. Not that he was complaining or anything. It was still making him feel a little...nervous.

asdfghjkl

Okay, WHAT had just happened?! One second he was there just trying to think about not thinking about Kurumi and the next Kurumi was almost on his lap, clinging onto his arm as if for dear life. He didn't even have time to blush but instead just glanced around the compartment frantically searching for whatever was scaring Kurumi that much. Since it was very likely to be scaring him too. Ahem.

Or you know, not.

His eyes fell on the chocolate frog, Kurumi was apparently inching away from just in time to watch it jump onto the girl's head and then...onto his. Wincing a little every time the frog tried to get down again by pulling on his hair - and NOT in a good way - Lewis just sort of froze the moment Kurumi reached out to try and get the frog out of his hair. So she was basically scared to death of it but still willing to get it out of his hair? How did that make sense?

Bowing his head a little, he kept his eyes on her face and bit down on his lip a little to keep himself from shivering when she ran her hands through his hair. Sadly she got the chocolate frog out way too quickly and Lewis almost pouted a little as he leaned back in his seat again. "T-thank you, Kurumi." Okay, it was probably a good idea to make sure the chocolate frog didn't come their way again, right? Or at least it would give him something to look at except for Kurumi.

While most of the other cats in the compartment were now trying to catch the little chocolate frog, Vanilla hadn't moved an inch from Evelyn's side, just watching the other felines jumping around. No, she was just going to sit here and wait. This whole hunting thing was for males. And no, she'd never seen a documentary on lions or other big cats.

All of it, really. Sierra Greingoth usually never rode the train. She lived in Hogsmeade, and there just wasn't a need for it. She wasn't a sociable person and could care less what everyone did over their summer break, so the whole train ride to and from school thing just never quite came together for her.

...until now, that is.

Of course she'd ride the train now that she was a prefect. She wore a mischievous-type smirk on her face as she walked through the corridors, heading straight toward the prefect's compartment. She wasn't all that amused about spending the ride there socializing with the others, but to be able to ride in an exclusive compartment not available to just anybody was an offer she couldn't pass up.

Stepping up to the compartment, she slid the door's open as if she'd been doing this all her life. She walked in, cool and confident, and took a seat in the midst of all the others. No sooner had her body come into contact with the seat, she heard the loud wail of some pathetic-sounding creature. "Dear Merlin!" she half-fussed, her eyes already ablaze with a look of pure annoyance.

STAAAAAAAAARE!

Up until Sierra spoke up, Lewis hadn't even noticed her coming in amidst all the chocolate frog drama and the two first years joining them. His head jerked around to see who had produced that loud wailing-sound - it sounded SO much like a cat - only to find himself staring at who had just taken a seat across from him. It was that scary rude SCARY not-very-friendly Slytherin girl. Who had glared at him during class that one time.

And who was wearing a Prefect badge.

Was he supposed to say hello? Since they were going to work together and all. But then again, she didn't seem to be too interested in the other people in the compartment, save that one first year boy who was talking to her. Again, WHAT was he doing here again? The boy. Not himself. Though, Lewis was asking the same question about himself too. Maybe now that they had more people here than needed he could just go and slip out of the compartment again. It was getting really really crowded.

Only problem was: Kurumi was still holding on to his hand.

Lewis's reply confused him. He was a Prefect. Yes, Keefer had actually managed to gather that much information himself. Seeing as he couldn't be the Puff Captain for obvious reasons, that only left Puff Prefect. So.. yeah. There was no other reason for him to be here... "Yes, I noticed," he said, with a half amused, half confused smile. "And an excellent choice, I think." Hadley had really outdone herself this time with her choices. Both brilliant candidates, in his opinion.

The Captain wracked his brains, but couldn't really think of anything he had forgotten to say. So he settled for, "Good holiday, then?"

Hearing someone address him, he leaned a bit to see around Lewis. It was the Slytherin Captain, the only one he hadn't had to face last year. Oh, Quidditch! "Well, we'll see. We graduated our be-- Um, we lost our veteran Chaser," he said, with a sideways glance at Lewis. "And we may be down another Chaser, depending on... certain things." Another glance at Lewis. And Kurumi. "So we may be weak in that area, but I also have some enthusiastic hopefuls that may fill the gap very nicely. You?"

And a wave from... the Head Girl? "Nice badge, Congrats!"

"Yeah, same here." He wondered if she was having the same mixed feelings as he was about their final year. Perhaps that feeling was what motivated her next question? "I guess. It will certainly be busy, what with Quidditch and NEWTs and all.." he trailed off, dancing around the obvious fact of it being his last year at Hogwarts.. ever.

Seriously! Why did girls always get all red in the face when he talked to them lately? He needed Treyen Lockhart more than ever. Maybe I'll just have to visit WADA or something.. "Well, it's the truth, so I said it," he said bluntly, though not unkindly.

Qudditch! Evelyn's eyes lit up at the word 'Quidditch'. Yes, she was going to be present at each and every game this term and support her house. "Well, you guys played really well last term."She said, with a nod. And..she was kind of hoping for a repeat performance this term as well. *coughKennedycough* Slythies, winning? No chance. Yeah, NEWTS. Right. "Looks like we're going to have to some studying this term." That was probably the understatement of the year.

She looked slightly amused when she noticed that he looked a little uncomfortable. Was it because of her blushing? Hm, maybe. "Well..thanks, Keefer." Again.

Text Cut: Selena

Selena nodded in agreement. Did someone keep some ice cream with them at all times? That would be pretty cool... if ice cream didn't melt that is. Selena bit the head off of the chocolate frog to take her mind off of the prospect of arriving at Hogwarts and getting cake. Selena liked cake. "I want pie, pie always taste good. And chocolate chip pancakes," Selena said with a grin.

She wondered if they would have chocolate chip pancakes at the feast this time. Breakfast for dinner? Selena could live with that.

Selena wondered why he was saying sorry. Whatever, he could be weird like everyone else. Selena was totally the normal one in this compartment. "Thank you, Gideon," Selena said with a big smile on her face, shoving the rest of her chocolate frog in her mouth. "What happened to the other Gryffie prefect?" Selena asked. The one who wanted the chocolate party too. Selena liked that prefect, he was nice. This one didn't seem as nice.

Selena grinned from ear to ear. "Yes, it's a verrrry nice badge! It's shiny!" Selena exclaimed clapping her hands once in excitement. "Thank you! You have a shiny badge too!" Not as shiny as hers of course, but it was still shiny and Selena liked shiny.

SPOILER!!: the two firsties

Selena was counting the prefects and Quidditch captains in her head. All of the Gryffindor people were there... and the Hufflepuff people were there too. If there was an extra Gryffie, there would be an extra Slytherin right? So Slytherin was missing one little prefect... and Ravenclaw was missing a prefect. That made sense to Selena. So she was ready to greet the Slytherin or Ravenclaw prefect when the compartment door opened to reveal...

A first year? Had either of the two missing prefects drank some potion? Nope. This girl was new. And then there was another firstie who walked in. Selena watched as the male plopped himself down and put his feet up on... was that her trunk? Nope, Selena had put a green sticker on it somewhere? Unless his feet were covering the sticker? Selena wasn't quite sure.

The girl also had a cat.

"There's also an awful lot of people in here," Selena told the boy before looking at the girl there. "There's room till the other two prefect come in," Selena told the girl, eying the cat in the carrier. Would any of the other prefects or quidditch people mind if Selena stuffed the other cats into that little carrier right now? It would make everyone so much more comfortable in there. Anyways... "I'm Selena Zabini-Riddle, I am awesometastical, I invented that word so I get to define it, and I am Slytherin head girl, and I like chocolate frogs, and this is Kent," Selena said quickly, pointing at her head at the mention of Kent. Everyone needed to know who Kent the pygmy puff was.

And more importantly. "Who are you two and what are you doing here?" Because Selena was pretty sure they weren't fourth years. Therefore, they wouldn't be able to be prefects. Perhaps they were like... the younger siblings of someone in here? If not, they were just lost. Perhaps they needed a pygmy puff to guide them.

Chocolate Chip Pancakes? "Oh! I love pancakes!" Not more than cake but yeah. Evelyn wore a matching grin on her face. She wouldn't mind eating pancakes every day of the year. That's how much she liked it. Especially..when it was chocolate flavored. "I like Pie as well but not as much as pancakes." Erm, yeah. This conversation was a little random..but it was fun. Fun to talk about something that was going to distract her from the cat that kept wanting to jump onto her seat.

OHHHH. Evelyn stared. There was a chocolate frog on the window and before she knew it, it immediately jumped onto Lewis's head. She tried to hide a smile as she watched Kurumi try to pull out the frog from his hair. GRIN. Who was she kidding? This was hilarious. But..the smile faded from her face immediately.

Evelyn's eyes grew wide before she immediately covered her face with her hands, when she saw Kurumi's cat fly towards her side of the compartment and it was now staring at Ellie. GULP. It looked so creepy and it was way too close to her, since she was sitting next to the Claw.

Thankfully, it made it's way back towards it's owner. Jeez. Before she could relax for a little bit..

WHAT ON EARTH!!!??? The chocolate frog had now landed on Selina and the girl was screaming like crazy. But..within seconds, the frog flew straight towards the..first years. EEEEEK. Things were starting to get really chaotic.

Text Cut: Kennedy
Kennedy grinned and bit his lip, now a bit shy because of the way he had behaved. He hadn't meant to come off as competitive, but it was what it was. He was proud of his house and well...no one could change that. "So, you're Hufflepuff prefect," he mused, with the tiniest of smirks playing on his lips. Hey, at least it was nice to see a familiar face. Last year had been awkward since he knew almost no one by name.

The prefect turned to Hufflepuff and grinned. He followed his gaze and shrugged at the heavy cat. "His name is Oliver." Yeah, he was introducing the Hufflepuff prefect to his cat. So what? It was the polite thing to do, right?

Kennedy grinned looking down at Oliver and then chuckled. "He's more of a pain in the butt if you ask me," he said. He did think Oliver was cute, but that had been months ago when the cat was just a tiny kitten that struggled to jump onto his bed. Now, he was more like a pixie trying to have bite at his hair. He looked up from the now waking up feline and said, "Yes, ma'am. You?" They DID have great leaders this term, except he didn't know who the female Slytherin prefect was.

Hopefully someone that was easy to get along with.

The boy's smile faltered a bit at Selena's comment and snapped his eyes back at Oliver, who was stretching his paws out in front of him. Kennedy almost thought the cat had already pounced on its prey...not that he would target Kent. Or, at least he hoped not.

"I don't think he will," Kennedy said with a nervous smile.

He was not responsible for Oliver's actions. The cat was just too independent minded to listen to him.

Kennedy then turned his attention to the two Gryffindor girls that greeted him and sent them a grin. This time around it was nice to know people that knew his name. He didn't have to go through the awkward phase of trying to introduce himself. That was good.

He was about to pull out a book from his trunk when several things happened. Two first years entered the compartment, began touching the Hufflepuff prefect's hair and then the Gryffindor Captain was shrieking. THEN Oliver jumped off the seat and toward the same girl.

"Oliver!" Kennedy yelled, trying to wrap his arms around the cat, but failing. As the chocolate frog jumped of the girl, the cat moved to...over to the first years.

Were they even allowed in here?

The Great Oliver had pounced to action when he heard the lady in distress yell. He had acted, his agile paws on the ground. His yellow eyes followed the bouncing frog and that's when his eyes landed on the two little humans.

He WANTED the frog.

He also wanted that furry thing one of the girls had, but that could wait. Jumping prey was much, much more fun.

He crouched, his furry tail up in the air and his bottom wiggled, ready to pounce on the frog...and the children.

Hm, hm. Evelyn nodded her head, continuing to wear the grin on her face. "And, you're the Slytherin Prefect." Her eyes shifted to the cat that was sitting on his shoulder...oh, no. She just hoped it would behave well..unlike Kurumi's cat. "Looking forward to this term?" Who didn't? Well, she was slightly upset since this was going to be her final year but yeah. It was going to be interesting.

o_O Evelyn's eyes grew wide again when she saw his cat suddenly jumped off his shoulder. OKAY. This was starting to get ridiculous. WHY were all the cats flying around!? She watched as the cat's attention was directed towards the first years..

WAIT. What were they even doing here!?

Text Cut: Sierra
Well, this was a first.

Evelyn looked up to find another girl enter the compartment. From the Badge on her robes, looked she was the other Slytherin Prefect. Hm. She didn't look very friendly so Evelyn just gave her a friendly smile and said, "Congratulations on the Badge." No harm in being polite, right?

Text Cut: Louisa
Almost right after Louisa settled down and threw her 'hi's and the comments that came afterwards, someone else entered. "Hi!" She greeted the boy back. "You're the Quidditch Captain, right?" Whose name she should know but forgot due to her I-Don't-Care-About-Quidditch vibes. "I'm Louisa," because he definitely didn't know her.

Text Cut: Cedric & Lady Of Light

Giggling she shook her head, "Just let's not turn the school into a circus, okay?" Because Paulie had the power to do that if he wanted to. Louisa might've underestimated the boy before but he's proving himself unintentionally with time. As for her loving the nicknames, "As long as they're not silly like John." GLARE. Yep, she hadn't forgotten him calling HER a boy name. No matter how cool John was to Robin Hood.

Louisa looked down at his shorts and their color. She raised her eyebrows and snorted, "Thank Merlin we're not Siamese." Coz that would be... awkward and annoying. She wouldn't mind if it was someone more serious though like Joao.

"Why thank you, Big Head Boy. Yours looks fascinating though," she smirked at him, "I would say I was proud but don't want to break our bickering agreement." Duh. As for her OWLs, Louisa crossed her legs and moved her feet underneath her. Too many cats to spread her legs forward. "I've got two E's. And an Acceptable." So nope, not all excellent. Shrugging she went on, "I'm quite proud of my Defense Against the Dark Arts acceptable than all the others O's though. Weird, huh?" She was terrible at that subject. Good thing she hadn't failed it. "How did the rest of your summer go? Funtertainment with Tori?" Mischievous grin.

Louisa nodded friendly at Evelyn - OH! "So you two are friends now?" She leaned her back against the seat addressing both Paulie and Evelyn. The Hufflepuff girl told her about Paulie calling her 'the other woman' and her annoyance was at its peak. Heh. With a grin she went on, "My summer was average, thank you." Louisa's features went slightly serious when she dropped the next comment, "Joao's back to Hogwarts." Dun dun dunnn. Not that Eve cared but the Ravenclaw felt like saying this for some reason, she'd held it back for so long. "How's your summer?"

Text Cut: Lischlen & sweetpinkpixie

From the corner of her eye she caught Viola pausing at someone's feet. WHICH usually meant she was eating their shoes. Shooting the pet a glare, Louisa moved her attention to the Prefect boy with an apologetic smile, "Sorry, that's her way of embarrassing me with strangers." Pause.

PURR.

Text Cut: Bubbles & HaRoHeGiNeLu

Then Ellie the Captain walked in and congratulated them. Louisa bounced on her seat waving at the red head, "Hi! Thank you!" EEP. Oh, the girl then walked to sit nearby where Evelyn was sitting. Mhmm. Cool. "How're you?" without Treyen. Coz they were... distant friends. They'd seen each other at the wedding so yeah, Louisa was going to chat with the soon-to-be graduate.

Then Aurora's boyfriend walked in. Louisa beamed up at him even if she didn't really know him that well and replied, "Hi there Kennedy. Fancy seeing you here." You know, in this particular compartment. Hehe.

Text Cut: Kimalia & iBeJenn

"Thank you, Kimalia! I'm Louisa Carter." Did she have to say that SHE was the new Ravenclaw prefect? Probably not. Where was Eino, anyways? She never saw him on the Express before. Hmm. "So.. how was your summ-" Louisa was asking when the havoc of chocolate frogs, firsties and cats started. The Ravenclaw's feet were already up so she just curled up into a ball and buried herself in Paulie's side. He was the boy, he could get chocolate all over him not her. Other than that she did nothing.

But when the Slytherin girl walked in so quielty and snobbishly, Louisa couldn't agree more with her. Yeah, dear Merlin.

As for the Head Girl, Louisa fought a laugh and just nodded, "Yeah, of course. Viola's busy with the other cat now.." she pointed at her cat snuggling to Eve's leg along with the other one... that wasn't Kurumi's. Whose was it, then?

Kent, riiiiight. Well she was close, no? "Yeah, right. Kent." Louisa looked up at the ball of fur and made an ingenuine excited wave at him, "Hi Kent! How's it going in there?" Who used their hair as pygmy puff's nests? Silly.

The firsties got a curious stare from Louisa as the Head Girl dealt with them. Only one of them had a cat about to jump across the compartment! D: Louisa quickly grabbed her head and protected her vital organs, just in case.

Friends? Evelyn's eyes shifted towards Paulie for a second. "I guess so." She still wasn't going to forgive him for what he said but..they were going to be working together and all so it was probably best if they got along..right? "What do you think, Paulie-e-e-e.." Evelyn said, dragging his name out. She had to bite her lip from her laughing. She couldn't help it..his name way too funny. And..her face turned serious at Louisa's next words. Hm. Why was she saying this to her? Was she implying something else? Her eyes slightly narrowed before she said, "Ermm..okay." Why wouldn't he be? She hadn't met him recently and anyway, she did not care. "It was alright." Evelyn shrugged.

WAIT. Evelyn's eyes were on ANOTHER cat that was slowly making towards her. JEEZ. She leaned her head back against the seat and closed her eyes. All these animals around were stressing her out. Wait, what was that? With a small frown on her face, she looked back down when she saw that the 'new' cat was licking her shoes.

"EWWW!" Following Ellie, Evelyn pulled her feet back onto the seat. Ew. Ew. Ew. That was just disgusting. She glared down at the cat before she turned towards Louisa. "Is this cat yours?"

Text Cut: Lewis and Vanillaaaa :3

Evelyn bit her lip and looked down at Lewis's cat. Okay, so..maybe..she found this cat quite adorable. It looked cute and it wasn't licking her shoes like the other one or flying across the compartment like Kurumi's cat. With the slightest hesitation, she bent down and petted it on the head again.

Still petting the cat, she looked up at Lewis and smiled. "What is it's name?" She said, nodding towards his cat. OH. "Congratulations on the Badge, by the way." Uh. She should have said that sooner but she was..distracted. She gave him another smile before she leaned back against the seat.

Chaos. Complete and utter chaos.

What would their Heads of Houses think if they saw the state of their prefects and Quidditch captains right now? If they weren't chasing after chocolate frogs, then they were chasing after cats or, erm, frightened by either of the two. Kurumi's eyes flew to Selina as she went into a right panic when the chocolate frog landed on her and was rather grateful that it didn't stay there long.

"Selina, are you okay?!" she squeaked from her seat, her fingers still interlaced with Lewis. "You...um...there is a bit of chocolate on your badge..." And her best friend better not go licking it off either. She couldn't yet see the tears, if that is what they were, forming in Selina's eyes just yet. Kurumi was still a bit frazzled by the fact that the thing had jumped on her.

At least she, meaning Kurumi, hadn't broken Selina's nose this time?

Kurumi blushed a bit and she instinctively chewed on her lip, her gaze lowering for just a moment subconsciously, when he thanked her. "Anytime," she smiled. She had promised him that she would be there anytime that he needed her. See, she was keeping her promise. Even if it meant she had to actually touch a chocolate frog. This hadn't been the first time she had over come her fear of something for his sake. She had taken him to the hospital wing when he had broken his nose and, despite her fainting at the sight of blood, had managed to compose herself and help him until the Healer had taken a look at him.

Kurumi's eyes were momentarily back on Louisa when...she mentioned her cat licked shoes. What? Looking down now, she now saw that the feline had in fact been licking Lewis' shoes. "Better than peeing on them," Kurumi grumbled, her eyes flickering towards Walnut...

...wait... HOLY HARPY WHERE WAS WALNUT?!

The Gryffindor's eyes darted around the compartment for a moment, just in time to see someone else walk in and her eyes widened for just a moment. It was the tenseness in Lewis that made her realize just who it was, and her gaze drifted to his for a moment before she looked back at the Slytherin girl who...seemed to know West? "Hello, Sierra," Kurumi said in a pleasant voice.

And wait...why was West even in her to begin with? She looked over at the other girl who had arrived as well, feeling equally confused as to why she was here as well. Did they need something? Selina seemed to be kind-of-sort-of handling it, so Kurumi stayed in her seat. What had she been doing before she had been distracted by the scene at the front of the compartment?

A rather loud thumping noise - belonging to Vanilla as she tried to jump up onto the seat - reminded Kurumi that she was looking for her own cat. Merlin...losing track of Walnut was like letting a baby house elf run wild in Hogwarts.

Walnut, KING of the Gryffindors was not going to chase after some chocolate frog like a dog chasing a stick. These other felines called themselves cats? They should be ashamed of themselves. Cats were to be worshiped and had things brought TO them. Besides, didn't they know that chocolate could kill them?

Couple of kibbles short of a bowl this lot.

Not that his attention was there, per say, he was still staaaaaaaaaaaaaaring at Burnt Tire Girl (Ellie!), his tail swishing back and forth as he did. But then he noticed that the girl next to Burnt Tire Girl was petting Vanilla...or doing something she thought was petting. Humans...honestly...did they know nothing? Not to mention Walnut did NOT like the tone nor the look that *sniff* Lady Carrot Juice (Evelyn!) was giving all the felines in the compartment - ESPECIALLY the looks she was giving him. Sure, some of them were dumb...but that did not mean they deserved an eyebrow raise, least of all HIM and THAT caused his ears to go down and tail to swish.

Who was SHE to share a name with his Rose Princess and NOT appreciate one of the greater beings on this planet? Hmmm?!

Looking back at Burnt Tire Girl one last time, he dug his claws into her leg gently as if reminding her he was WATCHING and then jumped off her lap and on to the floor where he took the position...

Kurumi's attention was back on the whole chocolate frog disaster when she hear the other first year's, the none West one, cat make a loud noise. Merlin, just HOW many cats were in here at once?!

But then, out of the corner of her eye, Kurumi saw something...and that something was potentially only adding to the chaos.

"Walnut! NOOOOO!"

Forgetting that Lewis was still holding her hand, Kurumi lunged forward - potentially bringing them BOTH towards the munchkin cat that was now squatting on Evelyn's shoe.

Chaos.

SUMMER FOREVER

What with jumping Chocolate frogs, flying cats and screaming people..this compartment was just crazy. She ran a hand through her hair before stretched out her legs again, although she was still glaring down at Louisa's cat. It had better not be licking her shoes. Yuck.

She was still a little confused as to why the first years were here though...were they lost? She watched the Slytherin Prefect talk to the boy. Hm, maybe..they wanted help with something?

Erm. Hang on. Why was Kurumi yelling? She looked around to find Kurumi and Lewis?..lunging forward..why?

WAIT. A. MINUTE.

Evelyn looked down rather confused, to find Kurumi's cat squatting down on top of her shoe...the frown on her face turned to horror as she immediately pulled out her leg from underneath the mean little cat and jumped up on the seat. Yes. UP.

"AHHHHHHHHHH. Kurumi, please take the cat away from me!!"She held on to Ellie's shoulder tightly, hoping that she wouldn't fall. Jeez. THE CAT was going to freaking pee on her shoe and it was ALL Kurumi's fault. If she'd just looked after her cat, this wouldn't have happened.

See? This why she didn't like cats. With a rather disgusted look on her face, she looked down at her shoe. It was slightly wet...UGHHHHHHH. This was a freaking NIGHTMARE.

"Congrats on the badge, Sierra." She was top point earner in their house, so it was no wonder she was named prefect.

Hearing all the chaos around her (whose blasted cats were these anyway?!), Sierra rolled her eyes and turned her head in a different direction. That was when her eyes landed on him--KENNEDY ESCALANTE. A grin slowly made its way across her face. Why hadn't she thought about this before? She'd known he was the male prefect, but since getting her own badge, she hadn't stopped long enough to acknowledge that they'd be in this together.

Move over, Aurora Stewart-Quinn.

Well, not technically, since she wasn't in here, in this very compartment. "Thank you, Kennedy," she said, giving him a politeness she rarely ever gave others. "...and I see you've kept your badge this year this year. It's well deserved, I have to say." He had power, and so did she. What didn't make sense about them ending up together? Too bad Sierra was fresh out of that awkward stage when it came to boys. She was fifteen and still hadn't had her first boyfriend.

Well, at least that'd be changing soon.

Sierra's happy mood suddenly dropped to level zero when she happened to catch the newest Puffer prefect staring her down. Jealous much? You should be, Puffer Boy. I'm after those house cups you stole from us last term. "You know," she pointed out, taking on an authoritative tone, "the right thing to say is hello." Well? Go on.

...oh and course the other one, the female Puffer, just had to be the next one to say hello. Sierra turned her attention to her and drew in a slow breath. She could do this. She could be...decent, at least. "Thank you," she said. Whoever you are. Her eyes traveled down to the girl's matching badge, except yellow in color. How unfortunate she must be. "I see you have one, as well." Come on, Sierra. You can do it. Just say it. SAY IT. "Con...gratulations." There. That was only a slight amount of hesitation. Maybe Puffer Girl didn't even notice.

Oh no. Now she was talking to him. His grip on Kurumi's hand tightened a little, not enough for anybody but her to notice however. "I..." Okay, why was she telling him what to say? He had only not said anything because even he had got that she wasn't really all too interested in any of them. So how was he to know what 'the right thing to say' was.

After he stared at her for a moment with his mouth slightly hanging open, Lewis closed it to swallow once before biting his lip again. "But...if it's the r-right thing to say then...you didn't s-say it either." He pointed out with a confused look on his face. So she didn't like doing the right thing then? Was that it? "Hello." The Hufflepuff quickly hastened to add since he did tend to do - say too - the right thing. Most of the time.

Still petting the cat, she looked up at Lewis and smiled. "What is it's name?" She said, nodding towards his cat. OH. "Congratulations on the Badge, by the way." Uh. She should have said that sooner but she was..distracted. She gave him another smile before she leaned back against the seat.
Lewis had finally had time to look where Vanilla had run off to - which couldn't be too far, she was way too lazy for that. Ah, there she was. Sitting at Evelyn's feet. That was good. And his Co-Prefect seemed to like his cat too. There she was even petting her head. And was looking a lot better than before.

He met the girl's gaze for a moment as she addressed him before allowing his eyes to rest back on his cat. "Vanilla. Her name's Vanilla." Not very hard to remember. And it was probably good she'd asked too since it seemed that the feline had taken a liking to the Hufflepuff. "Oh. Uhm. T-thank you." Lewis was blushing again at her next words, only looking back up at her when he returned the comment. "You too. Congrats."

Vanilla's purring became louder and louder as the girl reached down to pet her head again. And now her owner was talking about her again which made her feel all awesome and important. She felt like posing or something so they would see how cute she was.

Only she was way too lazy for that so instead she just settled with running her tongue over her paw before moving it up to clean her ears. She sort of froze however when all of a sudden Walnut was standing, no sitting next to h-

HANG ON WHAT WAS HE DOING!?

Lewis was still trying to comprehend what Walnut was trying to do - on Evelyn's shoes! - when all of a sudden he was practically yanked from his seat by Kurumi. Awesome. Now he was on the floor. Luckily, he had had the presence of mind to finally let go of Kurumi's hand so he could use both hands to keep himself from...well, faceflooring. That would not have been pretty. Plus it would have been like REALLY embarrassing in front of all the others.

...

Finally looking back up, he pushed himself off the floor only to sit back down on it with a confused look plastered across his face. Okay, WHAT had just happened? And WHY in the world was Evelyn standing on her seat, holding on to Ellie, obviously trying to get away from something. Or someone.

And again, how had he ended up on the floor?!

And why did it smell of urine in here?!

HUH?!

"How have you been?"And..she frowned slightly when she noticed Ellie pull her feet onto the seat. Was she scared of the cat as well?
Sorry, Evelyn, but your smile was not returned. All the better, though, because any smile from Ellie at the moment would probably look more scary than sweet.

How has she been? As of...before last night? "Good, thank you. And you?" It was a half-hearted reply, but it was the best she could do.

"Hello Ellie." The redhead even got a small smile from him. And there, see, he even knew her name. Blushing a little at her congratulations he muttered a barely audible "Thank you" while averting his gaze back down to his lap for a moment.
Her eyes drifted to the hair kid.

The familiar hair kid.

Lewis, wasn't it? The kid who always passed to Treyen? Or....always used to pass to Treyen.... "You're welcome. You deserve it." She knew little about the kid, but she knew that much. Everyone knew that not hogging the Quaffle was a sign of a good Prefect.

Selena's giddiness was never one that Ellie found contagious. Actually, she found it rather annoying.

But what did she expect, deciding to sit in here, knowing Selena was a prefect? The Slytherin got a finger wiggle.

How was she?

How was she?

She felt horrid. Sick. Like she was missing something. Like she forgot something. Like she shouldn't be on this train right now. And there was nothing she could do about it.

She was brilliant, obviously.

"Breathing," she answered.

Sierra Greingoth.

And Ellie hadn't a doubt in her mind that Sierra was actually meant to be here. Of course they would Prefect her. Of course Hogwarts wanted to make Ellie's last year as awful as possible.

Like it wasn't going to be hard enough already.

She desperately wanted to get out now. It was crowded. Ellie wasn't claustrophobic, but she did like her space. And she preferred to breathe the same air as people who hadn't tried to ruin her life.

But her feet weren't moving.

"Hey....Ellie..." she managed to say, her eyes only meeting hers briefly before looking out the window.

Where was Walnut during all this? He was still staaaaaaaaaaaaring at Ellie while sitting on her lap.
"Kurumi."

She KNEW things. Because Treyen would have had to explain a visit to Japan. Explain why she got even less time with him than ideal. But Ellie hadn't minded. She knew better now.

Plus, she felt indescribably awful for Kurumi. She wanted to ask how the Gryffindor was doing. If she was okay. But the questions just wouldn't leave her mouth.

ANDTHENTHEPEEINGCATWASONHERLAP.

Ellie's eyes widened as she stared the beast back, and hugged Bunny's carrier even closer to her. Poor rabbit was probably going to hate her for bringing her into such a crowded, noisy, chaotic compartment.

WAIT.

The redhead was aware of the presence in the compartment. Aware that the voice did not fit one of a girl old enough to be a prefect. Same with the male's. But her eyes did not leave Walnut's.

However, she did speak to the firstie, "I didn't know Vashti had a sister..." 'Twas safe to presume such a thing, yeah? Not like 'Greenwell' was a very common surname, was it?

See? This why she didn't like cats. With a rather disgusted look on her face, she looked down at her shoe. It was slightly wet...UGHHHHHHH. This was a freaking NIGHTMARE.
Thankfully, Walnut left her lap quickly enough. And she felt that, by the way, the nails. That gesture only made her narrow her eyes at the feline. Didn't he realize she could do horrendous things to him if she really wanted to? If given the opportunity.

Ellie's eyes shifted sideways to Evelyn. It was totally fine that she was using her shoulder, though.

But...now Eve knew why she'd put her feet up the moment she sat down, yeah?

She felt experienced.

Kurumi felt Lewis let go of her hand, which usually would have cause the Gryffindor to frown slightly but now was NOT the time to be thinking about that even if her hand now felt a little empty. Both hands free now, her hands were around the feline before Evelyn had even finished shouting and she scooped him up to hold him in her arms like a baby, his tail swishing back and forth and a ridiculously smug look on his furry face.

"I'm so sorry," she squeaked, beginning her routine of bowing over...and over...and over...and over again, each time the bow getting a little deeper as she repeated those three words as well. Walnut had done it this time...looks like she was going to be paying another visit to Professor Williamson and the topic was not going to be to discuss her future like she had planned. "I'msorryI'msorryI'msorry..."

Poor(?) Walnut was getting motion sickness from all the bowing that he was being included in, but it wasn't like he didn't deserve a little torture.

"W-W-W-What can I do to make it up to you?" Kurumi asked, biting her lip nervously. New shoes? For Kurumi to polish her shoes every day until the end of the term? COOKIE?! It was then that she noticed that Lewis was on the floor as well. MERLIN! She had just made a mess out of everything. Wait...no...WALNUT had. Sometimes the cat was a bloody genius, doing things that helped her get what her heart desired like saving Lewis a seat and sometimes he did things like THIS.

Attention on Lewis now, Kurumi started bowing again and apologizing. "Lewis, I'm sorry...are you alright?" she asked as she offered him her hand to help him up while her other arm held Walnut and her hand gripped the scruff of his neck. Did he want something from her as well? She had just pulled him to the ground...

Selina was not really a person to get annoyed with the way people acted in introductions. Usually, people were busy and gave a nod or a gesture to say that they were reciprocating the greeting, but when the Ravenclaw Captain walked into the compartment she only gave a finger wiggle. It was a little too early in the term to be getting upset with anyone's behavior, but Selina gave her a hello and all Elyie could spare was a finger wiggle? She bit her tongue and swallowed her pride. There was no need to say anything about the wiggle. It was in the past.

But she did not have too much time to think of it when the chocolate frog/cats/firsties chaos broke out. For starters, there were FAR too many people in the compartment. If Selina turned to her left she knew that she would smack someone by mistake. The compartment was not built to have as many people as it did presently inside of it. That and the animals that were let loose did not help the space issue.

However, Selina did not care much about any of that. She was too busy flailing trying to get the chocolate frog off of her even after the bloody thing was onto its next victim. While she continued to frantically wipe away the non-existent frog. Kurumi cautiously told Selina that she had chocolate on her badge. Usually, this would have been excellent news for the Gryffindor Captain, but she did not want the remains of a chocolate frog anywhere near her or on her. So she took her badge off threw it toward the other end of the compartment.

She was being over dramatic, yes; however, chocolate frogs were not a laughing matter. No one in the compartment could understand just how much Selina hated them, except for maybe Kurumi who also had an irrational fear of the repulsive sweet. It was just that chocolate frogs were like a tempting and delicious bite of chocolate wrapped up in an evil little frog who wreaked havoc on the people who just wanted to eat their delicious bodies. EVILLLLLLLLL!!!!!

Finally, when she calmed down, she sat down in a seat and put her head in her hands. This compartment was too much for her!

....the compartment door opened to reveal Sierra, the new prefect according to her badge.

"Erm.... congrats Sierra on your-" CATS!!!!

Default Selina and the rest of you.
Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna

Gideon knew it was a lot to take in, especially with everything else that was going on around them, so he didn't worry too much when Selina didn't respond right away. "Aye...I'm prefect," he repeated with a soft chuckle. "And yer captain...again. Its all good." At least now they could actually work on things together instead of him sitting on the sidelines alone while she and Kurumi went off on their various duties.

And then trouble in the form of a chocolate frog broke out wrecking havoc on the two people the edible amphibians should never mess with. Kurumi and Selina. Gideon knew of their hatred of the things so it was no surprise that they reacted badly as it jumped all over, on or at least near them. He almost moved to help Selina but as she flailed about it was actually better he stepped back to avoid being hit. And in the end, with his movement as she threw her badge away, he managed to catch it...quidditch reflexs you know.It was either that or be hit by the metal object. The boy wiping it off of all remnant chocolate and slipping it into his safe possession until Selina wanted it back.

"Ye okay?" he questioned quietly, sitting down beside her and tentatively slipping an arm behind her back. Sure they were in public...and in a crowded area to boot but Selina was pretty upset and he could see her eyes watering. Gideon felt the need to be supportive at the moment.

t seemed though as the chocolate frog was the least of their worries as soon enough there was even more chaos in the form of one munckin cat. "At least it wasn't me this time..." he mused remembering his own run-in with Walnut the previous term with a shake of his head. The last thing he needed was more pee-scented belongings.

Brilliant. So, now he knew the boy's cat's name but not his. Maybe he didn't want to share it with him. "That...that's Vanilla." Lewis gestured to the cat which had now settled with just sitting at Evelyn's feet like a watchdog. Or well, you know, watchcat.
Kennedy wondered why the guy wasn't looking at him and instead at his cat. Was he frowning again without knowing? He ran his hand over his forehead. Nope, not frowning. Maybe he had something on his face and the guy was too shy or something point it out. OR maybe he didn't like Slytherins? Meh. Maybe this was just a cat person. Yeah, that seemed reasonable since he was staring Oliver.

Vanilla. "Nice name for...a cat." It was...kind of. He was no one to judge though, he did, after all name his cat Oliver. Who in the world named their cat Oliver? Him.

He couldn't help it, a proud smile made its way to Kennedy's lips as he nodded. "Yes, I am." He followed her gaze down to Oliver and wondered if today was Cat Day. For one, there were many cats in this compartment and second, everyone seemed to eye the giant cat. He raised his gaze, which settled on her again. "Oh yes I am. Especially for Quidditch," he said. Yep, he couldn't wait to be at the stands cheering for his house and all that cool stuff that happened during the matches. "What about you? Looking forward to anything in particular?" he asked.

Kennedy eyed that cat that got near her and then it...

Eww.

He didn't mean to be rude or anything, but just in case, he scooted down his seat. No urine on his shoes, please.

Kennedy returned her grin. This year was definitely going to be a great one. Selena was Head Girl - he still needed to congratulate her on that - and Kimalia was Captain, Sierra - one of the top point earners in Hogwarts - was prefect and he was one too. Seriously, Slytherin had to be the powerhouse this year.

He nodded. "Thank you. You deserved yours as well...since you are a top point earner," he said. Kennedy caught the Hufflepuff staring at her as if he was ready to bolt at any given time, which was amusing if you asked him. Sierra seemed like one of the nicest people here since she wasn't causing any mischief.

Default there are so many of you!! XD

"A prefect is an awesome person you have to listen to," Selena explained to the girl firstie. Prefects were cool people with shiny badges, who didn't like and respect the shiny badges? It was impossible not to like them. Penelope Greenwell? The last name sounded familiar from somewhere. She didn't know where but it didn't matter. What mattered was that the first name was really long. "Can I call you Penny?" So much shorter, so much more easier to say. "And your Spot isn't allowed to eat Kent either." She'd draw up something for everyone later to sign to make sure that these people and their familiars didn't eat the King of Pygmy Puffs.

She blinked blankly at the boy firstie though. "Well, West, you obviously don't know that Awesometastical is a mix of three words and is going to be in the next dictionary," Selena said, refraining from sticking her tongue out at the boy. Hmph. Selena had totally been right, she didn't know what this kid was talking about either seeing as Awesometastical was most definitely a word. She had said so after all. And what was with that smile after decided to call her Lena? "I'm going to call you Strawberry," Selena decided, "because your name isn't cool enough."

So ha, firstie. You weren't the only one who could come up nicknames.

Selena couldn't help but giggle when the chocolate frog was discovered and opened her next box, taking it out only to watch it slip from her fingers. Oh... look, another chocolate frog on the loose. Selena watched the scene unfurl before her, trying to remain calm. That was what you were supposed to do in case of an emergency, right? She watched the chocolate frog being untangled of the Mister Huffie's hair... then right onto Alien!Selina. Selena continued to giggle as she watched the newly escaped chocolate frog follow the others. Selena liked the frogs, they were interestingly hilarious.

"You can still eat it if you catch it!!" Selena exclaimed as the cat started to pounce. No. No cats. Selena quickly put Kent on her lap to shield the pygmy puff. And she was going to ignore anyone who said their cat wasn't going to eat Kent. She wasn't going to believe them till they signed a proper contract saying otherwise. Yup, that sounded fair.

And then the compartment door opened to reveal...

"APPLE!!! You're a prefect!!" Selena exclaimed, clapping her hands for a moment in excitement and quite tempted to hug the younger Slytherin if she wasn't busy protecting Kent from all the cats in this compartment. She glanced over at Louisa the Chocolate Hater. "Kent doesn't talk." Silly Ravenclaw.

This compartment really was getting stuffed though. Too many cats. And... what was that cat doing?

Selena watched as the cat squatted and... oh... Selena averted her gaze and watched the girl panic... kinda panic at least. "You can always use a spell to clean that!" Selena pointed out cheerfully. No need to think about it negatively, right?

She wondered what would happen if she let a few more chocolate frogs out to jump around... hmm... Selena opened another box... just to see what would happen and allowed the chocolate frog to jump out. That made three jumping frogs right? Selena would just sit back and watch. She still had strawberry fizzy popcorn in her bag. Perhaps this would turn out like a muggle movie. Selena opened the bag and popped a few of the pink treats into her mouth.

Evelyn nodded with a smile. At least, someone had a good summer. "Nice to meet you, Kimalia." Evelyn said, politely and extended her hand.

Shaking her hand, Kimalia replied with her signature smile. "Likewise." It was nice meeting more older people.

SPOILER!!: Keefer

And Kurumi. "So we may be weak in that area, but I also have some enthusiastic hopefuls that may fill the gap very nicely. You?"

Kimalia didn't doubt his teams capabilities, after all since her starting term for Quidditch her team's main competition had been Hufflepuff, save last year's efforts against the others in their place. "We'll see indeed, we also had a chaser graduate" Smiling confidently, "but it should be another interesting season." As long as her Karma streak is over that is.

SPOILER!!: Kennedy

He looked up from the now waking up feline and said, "Yes, ma'am. You?" They DID have great leaders this term, except he didn't know who the female Slytherin prefect was.

Hopefully someone that was easy to get along with.

Nodding in understanding, of course all pets have their annoyances, like her owl, Precious, who insists on extra treats before and after her deliveries. And, Ma'am? Her eyebrow rose just a tad. Not that she minded the sudden formality. "Yep, more than ready.." to earn back the Quidditch cup, and the rest. "Save the O.W.L's of course."

Kimalia turned to address back to the rest like Louisa, Ellie, Kurumi, Lewis, and Louisa who had responded back to her so kindly, but she didn't get the chance..

O_o

And suddenly they were interrupted by two firsties. How cute they are, though she had no clue on who they were. It didn't take long before they apparently situated themselves in their compartment. Eyebrow raising indeed, now where were there sweets or gift for them? Well, that went out the window.. just as soon as a commotion of cats and chocolate leaping frogs happened.. All Kimalia could do was stare while sucking on her sugar quill.

SPOILER!!: Sierra

Oh she briefly wondered if it was a Professor coming in at the sound of the door opening, but no, it was her fellow teammate and sort-of-friend Sierra. "Welcome to the.." as a moving animal lept in front of her to the side. "party.." Wait, what was that shining thing on her.. Hey, it was a "Prefect badge.." Grinning time, "Way to go Sierra." Looks like a powerhouse of leaders were made once again.

Then she happened to glance over and notice some little kid staring her down like he was starving to death and she was the last bite of meat on Earth. Funny. He didn't look old enough to be a prefect. Maybe he wasn't. Sierra had once ventured in here herself when she'd only been a first year. "Why?" she asked him, wondering why he was suddenly so interested in her sitting right next to him. "Who are you?"

Funny thing was, he did look sort of familiar...
"West Odessa!" That was who he was. Yup. And as for why, well that was why TOO. And obviously because he wasn't weird like so many of the people in here. Was that like a thing? Had to be a bit weird, OR have a cat, to be a prefect?

West did not have a cat.

"I'd bet on Walnut," he said. "He's got a reputation." Just saying. He's heard of the things Kurumi's cat got up to and because of that he'd bet on it. His Oliver would most likely just bump into a wall and knock himself out.
A reputation? West eyed the one called Walnut.

It had that look about it that sometimes West himself got. The look that made his dad give him that one nickname.

Y'know.

Trouble.

"Gross." West commented quite approvingly, immediately having fantasies of training this cat to be even more gross and awesome. Minion-like. Rumi should get on that. She really should.

Nuh-uh! Awesome and Fantastical were TWO words.

"That's mean." West pointed out, looking a bit upset. HEWASNOTASTRAWBERRY! "My name is TOO cool enough!" AND Strawberry didn't even make sense! It didn't sound anything like his name!

Frustrated at this, West stood up and POINTED at her. SHE WAS BEING MEAN TO HIM!

WALNUT should SO eat her PYGMYPUFF as punishment! Hmmmmpppppppph. Just wait til he got his Nile Monitor. Yeah!

"You're mean!"
