Fidgeting with her school robes, Kurumi made her way to Professor Bentley's office already feeling her palms clamming up. She felt awful for not coming to see her Head of House sooner about....everything... but Kurumi had just kept it all locked up inside until she had essentially exploded in the Great Hall that one day. What made things worse was that Professor Lafay knew and Professor Bentley didn't.

Kurumi really needed to stop telling professors AFTER things had already happened. Swallowing hard, Kurumi approached the door and knocked on it twice before stepping back and waiting.

Jezzabelle was carrying a potted plant that had a purple ribbon wrapped around the base. A Middlemist camellia. It was a gift for Professor Bentley that she had worked on. Over the summer break she had thrown herself into her greenhouse and tended to her plants giving them all the love they needed to grow.

She wasn't going to tell the Professor how she had acquired such a rare flower though. No, that was not a story she needed to hear. All she needed to know was that the young lion had managed to get it, grow it, and gift it. She walked up to the door and knocked.

Alyssa walked up to the door of Professor Bentley's office. She had in her hand a pot containing the most beautiful flowers she had ever seen. She was told that they were called Plumeria Metallica Thai. Her brother had been sent to Thailand for Auror training and had brought back the plant home. How he managed to get it through the Agriculture customs still baffled Alyssa, but Alex was also known to be able to talk his way through anything.

So here Alyssa was now, with 'offspring' of the plant in her hand. She knocked on the door

KNOCK! KNOCK!!

and then stepped back waiting for the Professor to answer. While she waited, she made sure that her shoes were clean.

Gideon had wanted to thank Professor Bentley in person for trusting him with his new responsibility. However not getting a chance to during the busyness of the feast, the sixth year chose the next best option...coming to her office during a few moment. Well it was for him, he simply hoped it was for the woman as well, not wanting to disturb her if she was busy.

Walking to her office, Gideon went up to the door and knocked politely before stepping back from it. Opting to sit while he patiently waited for either a response or a silent clue that Professor Bentley wasn't around, he took a seat on the bench outside her window. No point in remaining standing and be more likely to fidget.

Apparently Sophie was as excited as the year before! But now she was even more excited about Herbology, since her mum had FINALLY let her help with her garden. After Sophie told her everything about the lessons, Marcy decided it was alright for her daughter to help around.

And thiiis made Sophie even MORE excited about plants and whatnot! YES!

She was now stading right in front of the door of professor Bentley's office, with a BIG smile on her face.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!

After settling back in her office, ready to tackle another year of what was bound to be mayhem... because it always was at Hogwarts... Seren found herself sipping on a cup of tea and watching Caltex circle the room, his ears pricked up with suspicion. No Caltex, nobody invaded your kindom while we were away, she though.

Hearing a knock at the door, Seren set her cup down on her desk and went to see who it was. Upon opening the door she was pleased to discover it was none other than Kurumi.
"Hello dear, come in come in," she chirped, stepping back to welcome her Prefect inside.

Of course it was that time of year, the beginning of term, when everything was lively, inspired and fun. So when she heard another knocking at the door, she didn't even begin to wonder who it could be before attending to her visitor.

"Jezzabelle , it's so good to see you again, please do come in."
Her eyes trailed to a stunning potted little plant, her eyes lighting up in appreciation and adoration.

As if by clockwork, there was yet another knocking at her door. Merlin it was going to be a busy day. Striding over to see who it was, Seren answered the door with her usual bright smile. There was no reason not to be cheerful with so many lovely visitors, and of course her next guest didn't disappoint.

"Alyssa, please do come in, how was your summer?"

Almost instinctively now, Seren dropped her quill and strode to the door, pulling it back on its hinges.
"Gideon, please do come in," she greeted, seeing her new Prefect sitting by her door.

It had been sad to hear that Adam wouldn't be returning to Hogwarts this year, but these things couldn't be helped sometimes, and there was no doubt in her mind that Gideon was capable of being a good honest, responsible and mature prefect.

Ella was standing next to Sophie, rocking back and forth on the balls of her feet. She was excited and a bit nervous to see Professor Bentley, wondering what she would think of their request. It would be fun though, working with the plants again! Especially magical plants, they fascinated Ella. She was eager to learn as much as she could about Herbology this term and get her hands dirty. She looked over at Sophie and gave her a small smile as she watched her knock on the office door. Wouldn't be long now!

Answering her door at yet another knock, she discovered not one... but two students standing at her door.

"Hello Sophie, Ella, please come in, what can I do for you today?" she asked, welcoming them inside.

Calista had done her best to meet with the staff members that had seemed friendly enough so far and her attempts, although semi-successful meant that they were also semi-horrible.

It was November and she still had yet to have a full conversation with the cool, blonde lady who Willy said taught Herbology. After working most of the afternoon marking assignments, Calista packed those papers away for later and made her way onto the grounds and ultimately, the Greenhouses.

When she arrived at the tiny bungalow that was dedicated as the other Professor's office, Professor Elwood knocked and waited patiently for someone to answer. She touched a leaf from a nearby plant with a smile.

Snapping her head up, Seren eyed the door. She had been hoping to avoid a throng of students today so she could focus on planning some activities, because activities were fun, and active. Cracking her neck as she rose from her seat, Seren wandered across her office to answer her door. Perhaps she needed a peephole on it or something?

"He--llo," she stammered, realising that it wasn't a student standing at her door.

Gosh she probably sounded like a troll.

"Calista right?" she asked, all smiles. It was truly terrible of her that she hadn't made her new colleague feel welcome at the school. But it was difficult to socialise when you spent most of your time outside... and away from the castle in general. "Please, do come in."

The leave attached to the little plant Professor Elwood had been touching as she waited was soft and warm to her touch, precious.

Just as she was wondering if the Herbology Professor was even in her office, the door opened and the blonde woman just looked at her and then slowly greeted her with an awkward hello, obviously Callie had caught her off guard.

"That's my name! And you're Seren, right?" she nodded, with a bright smile and her American accent. Oh she could come in, just lovely. "Are you sure I didn't catch you at a bad time?" But before she could say yes to that, Calista had made her way into the office.

Aurora had questions... and, as they were about a plant, she figured the best person to ask would be Professor Bentley. Never mind that the plant in question was an ingredient and it had been a potion that had sparked this interest - she didn't think Professor Lafay would be too sympathetic...

She trudged down to Professor Bentley's office and knocked on the door, sitting down almost immediately on the bench so she could catch her breath - she was already wheezing a little. Honestly, the cold air and the walking were not good for her chest right now. At least it was usually warm inside Professor Bentley's office... Aurora just hoped she wasn't too busy to let her in.

It was a lovely day out, despite the cold weather, so Seren really hadn't had any plans to stay cooped up in her office. But as it so happened she needed to feed Caltex, and she had some homework to grade, so defeated... she returned to her office pulling off her dragonhide gloves as she went.

Stepping along the path to her door, she saw she had a visitor. How unusual considering the weather.
"Aurora, what a pleasant surprise. I hope you haven't been waiting too long," she said welcoming the Slytherin as she unlocked her door.
"What can I do for you today?"

Holding the door open, Seren beckoned the girl to enter. Best not let the warm air escape.

Laura looked at the Professor door, should she do it, should she do it, Laura didn't know if she wanted to but in the end she decided she really had to see what it felt like.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

She then went and hit behind a chair knock-a-door run sounded interesting and it seemed a good game to play.

Seren loathed being inside. Stuck in her office. Especially when it was such a lovely day outside. While deciding whether or not to abandon her office for the day, there was a knocking at her door.

The decision could wait a while then.

Moving away from the window she'd been looking out of, she opened her door to receive her guest.

...

Only... there was none.

Laura waited for the Professor to go back into her office and close the door and then she came out from her hiding place and went to the door trying not to giggle.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

Laura decided an extra knock would be good and then she was hid behind the chair again this was really fun and she was finding it hard not to giggle about the whole situation.

Scratching her chin, Seren wandered back into her office. Who had knocked? And why were they not there? ... Had it been ... something else? Or did she take too long to answer the door?

Very odd.

She was in the process of writing a note to stick on her door when the knocking started up again.

Dropping her quill and skipping to the door as quickly as she could, she wrenched it open...

Again ... nobody.

Seren looked in the distance to see if anybody was leaving... nothing.
Perhaps she ought to go and check the terrace in case students were lurking there.

But first she needed to finish her note, so back inside she went.

Laura decided to have another bit of laugh and so she wrote on a piece of paper catch me if you can, Laura waited for the Professor to go inside again before slowly coming out of her hiding place and placing the note on the door.



Laura then knocked on the door again.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

Laura then went and hid behind the chair again trying not to laugh this was getting funny now.

Eyebrows narrowed in thought, Seren returned to her desk and finished off her note. Honestly... what was going on? Was she imagining things? Perhaps she'd been cooped up for too long and was losing her gobstones.

At any rate, this incesent knocking and not being anyone only hardened her resolve to head to the greenhouses. Better out than in, aye.

Seren's head snapped up at the sound and this time she ran to the door.

But again, there was nobody to be seen.

Sigh.

Closing the door and locking it securely with three keys and a couple of enchantments, she went to put her note on the door...
Only.. there was already a note on there.

Well whoever it was had poor writing skills. From "well"... it must be a Hufflepuff. Perhaps she ought to take the note to Fina, maybe the woman or somebody else could identify the handwriting.

Removing the randoms note and placing it in her pocket, Seren then placed her own note on the door before leaving in the direction of the greenhouses. At least now her knocker could knock as much as they liked. Rascal.
