Emmanuelle chose to ingnore Elliot's raised eyebrow in favor of explaining her in her opinion awesome plan. Because, of course, she knew the other girl would be interested if she heard it. Because it was awesome. "I thought it might be fun to have a bonfire on the grounds. Get the whole school involved, you know, to get everyone's minds off the craziness that's been going on recently." Like the prefects and professors just freezing up out of nowhere. Yep, could everyone could use a break from worrying about that...

Elliot didn't respond immediately...she was thinking. Hmmm...a bonfire...with the whole school... She glanced out the window, at the white snow outside. It was definitely cold. Elliot even shivered.

"Well, that sounds like a grand plan!" her face broke into a real smile, which is rare for Elliot. "And by craziness, you mean like Potions? That was a crazy class..." yes, too crazy for Elliot. Who didn't like that kind of excitement.

See, she knew the other would like her plan once she had heard it! Emmanuelle smirked. She was taking Elliot's reaction as an agreement to be involved. "I thought so. I was thinking first, though that we need to get at least one professor to help." You know, so they didn't get in kind of trouble. "Do you know a professor that might agree?" One that wasn't busy freezing people or being frozen.

"Of course I meant Potions. That woman is off her rocker!" That woman being Professor Lafay. Emmanuelle still believed that the professor was behind all the freezings. After all, the largest number of freezings had happened in her classroom. And just look at what she had been to Em herself just because she had tried to helpful...

Elliot thought some more...who was the nicest professor? Well, there was Romanos..she was sweet. Elliot wasn't very close with her, but she wasn't as mean as Lafay, right? "Hmmm...maybe Romanos...or Williamson? He is an outdoorsy person, right? He's the Magical Creatures professor, right?" she asked, just to make sure. She didn't take that class, since she hated animals, so she wasn't quite certain. Too many professors to remember.

Elliot chuckled darkly. "I saw you lose those points...heehee...brave, that was, or rather, pretty foolish. You've got nerve," she snickered. Elliot had been completely SILENT that entire class...she was too nauseous scared to talk...

Emmanuelle didn't know Professor Romanos at all, having never been in the woman's class, so she didn't know if the professor would go along. Williamson, though... "I don't know, doesn't Williamson have his hands full with Roro? So I guess Romanos it is, then." Unless they could convince both of them...?

"Well, with her reputation around school, it seems like someone was going to say it sooner or later. I just happened to say it to her face," she said, trying to make it sound like it was no big deal. Deep down, though, she had been scared to death of the professor's reaction. And now, she was kind of curious as to why she had only lost points. And such a small amount at that.

Yeah...true. The dragon. Hmph.
"I don't know Romanos that well, though...do you know any of them well...better than you know Lafay?" she asked with a smirk.

The blonde shivered...just thinking about a fire make her colder, since she wasnt anywhere near one! Ugh! She wrapped her cloak more tightly around her.

"Actually, I don't," Emmanuelle answered, sounding slightly discouraged. Not any that she thought would help, anyway. Now she was wondering whether her plan had been such a good idea. After all, most of the professors had their hands full, what with all the freezing students and trying to keep the rest of them calm. Sigh.

"Well, I say we go ask professor Romanos..she's nice, and seems like the type to be in favor of that sort of thing. We could argue that everyone needs a break from all of the creepy stuff happening...we ask the house elves to make a HUGE AMOUNT OF HOT CHOCOLATE...or tea, whichever works,..." Elliot nodded, a determined look in her eye, now. "So, are you in, or no?" She gave the older girl a fierce look.

Sophie walked up to the library to continue her research on boggarts for her DADA finals. She had missed an important class, apparently, due to the fact she had been ill for around a week. It was the first time she had to miss so many classes at Hogwarts, so it didn't bother her that much. Especially since she didn't have to go to see the evil healer and was already feeling much better!

As soon as she stepped into the library, she looked around, wondering where to go first. There were so many books theeeere! After a few seconds, she headed to one of the shelves in the middle of the library and started brushing her fingers through the spine of the books that were perfectly organized there. She walked fast until she reached some of the ones that were about Defense Against the Dark Arts and slowed down.

Hmmm...

Alice walked down an aisle in the Library. Her eyes scanned the pages of the thick, dusty book in her hand, set on finding some usable information about Merpeople for her assignment. The book was nearly too much for the tiny girl to handle, so she half-carried, half-dragged it along with her as she read. She didn't look up from her book or pay attention to where she was going; she was far too busy for that. But, after all, she wasn't THAT small. People would see her coming and know to move out of her way, right?

Merpeople of Hogwarts have greyish skin and long, wild, dark green hair. Their eyes are yellow, as are their broken teeth, and they wear thick ropes of pebbles around their necks. Their powerful, silver fish tails allow them to swim expertly, while the upper parts of their bodies resemble those of humans. Merpeople are also very—

The third year's book flew out of her hand as something banged into her. Alice landed on her rump and slowly rubbed her eyes. Blink. Blink. Blink. 'Twas a PERSON. She probably would have been angry, if it wasn't for the fact that she had lost Frank. "OIYOU." Yeah. Her words were definitely Queen-like. "Where did my Chocolate Frog go? Did you see it?" He was important. She liked him. He was a good pet. "FRAAAAAANNNNKKK," she called. "That's his name, y'know. FRANK. He's an awesome little guy. FRAAAAANNNNNKKKK."

No...... no..... no..... Sophie still ran her fingertips through the books' spines as she walked. None of the titles related to what she was looking for... but she was close, apparently!

Oh! Confronting the Faceless? Sounded perfectly boggart-like! Sophie had read in some other book that no one knew exactly what boggarts looked like when there was no person around. Maybe this book was talking about these sorts of creatures?? She pulled the book from the shelf, opened it in a random page.

'The Dark Arts are many, varied, ever-changing and eternal. Fighting them is like fighting a many-headed monster, which, each time a neck is severed, sprouts a head even fiercer and cleverer than before.' Sophie shuddered as she read those words. 'You are fighting that which is unfixed, mutating, indestructible.'

Suddenly, the Hufflepuff felt something banging into her. She jumped back and dropped the book she was reading, covering her mouth with both hands to stop herself from screaming. Her wide eyes focused on a girl that was on the floor. Whew! It was just a girl! Well, obviously, what else should she expect to see at the Hogwarts library? A banshee?

"Oh!" Sophie blinked as she eyed everything that was on the floor now. She wondered if the librarian would get mad at them. "Are you alright??" She quickly asked, offering a hand to the girl. But the Gryffindor - judging by her uniforms - was already asking for something else. Frank? What? "You... you have a pet chocolate frog?" That was the first time Sophie ever heard of such thing!

Alice jumped when the other girl screamed. "GAHH!" Naturally, she screamed back. 'Twas not nice to scream at a person's scream at a person's scream. YEAHH. But someone needed to end the cycle. But she had to admit, the other girl's scream was scary. Like a banshee. o__________O Or hag. But she didn't look like a banshee or hag. Or so it seemed. "YEAHH. I'm fine. you?" She took the girl's hand and pulled herself up while rubbed her sore shoulder, which had hit a bookshelf when she had run into the other girl. "Sorry 'bout that. I was reading my book on Merpeople and— OH! I'm missing that, too." Sigh. She hoped that the book hadn't landed on Frank. =w=

As she searched for her missing and hopefully un-squished pet, Alice started her interrogation. "Who're youuu? What house are you in? What 'tis your purpose in life?" 'Cause. All of those things were necessary to know when looking for a Chocolate Frog together. "YEAHH. I have a pet Chocolate Frog. his name is Frank. Didn't I say that already?" Huh. this girl had her all confused. Maybe she had hit her head on a shelf as well.

Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.

Where is that book, anyway?

Her eyes were scanning the shelves carefully, looking for one particular book. After a while, the fourth year pulled out a red covered book from the shelve and read its title. It sounded promising. Even though it wasn’t what she was looking for, the girl didn’t mind to put it back. After all, it was just a bit of light reading. Still twirling the first book in her hands, she continued searching for the one she had been willing to read. After all, that was the reason why she had decided to pay a visit to the library that day.

Gwen continued to scan the shelves, but wasn’t able to find what she was looking for. Come on… where is that book?!, the Ravenclaw asked herself. She could only remember having seen it here last time she had been to the library, not long ago. It had to be somewhere close…

HERE!

The fourth year eyed the book on the top shelve. There was no way she could confuse the cover.

Woops! It seemed like the other girl was as startled as Sophie. Which was good, that meant she didn't intend to scare anyone. After all the screaming was done, the Hufflepuff smiled down at the Gryffindor. "I'm fine too!" She said while pulling the girl up. "It's okay!" She replied as the girl apologized. Cool! She sounded nice! Sophie looked down at the books when the other girl mentioned something about Merpeople. "Oh? You're reading about merpeople? What for?" Class assignment? Definitely not the same one Sophie was researching for, she was sure. Merpeople weren't considered Dark Creatures, were they??

The second year leaned down and grabbed the big book she was reading before the girl bumped into her. By the way... "Wha-" Sophie was about to ask the girl's name when suddenly the blonde started bombarding her with questions. Whoa whoa whoa! After blinking a couple of times, Sophie giggled and tried to remember all of her questions. "I'm Sophie Campbell, twelve years old, Hufflepuff, I love Charms and I actually plan on being the Charms Queen!" Well, she wasn't really plaanning that, but she sure was working hard to know as many spells as possible! "OH, and I looove colourful things!!" That was an important piece of information about Sophie, yep! "What about you??" She asked grinning.

Well, there was one thing she knew about this girl. She had a pet chocolate frog named Frank. Hah! "Sounds interesting! And yeah, you said that." Sophie chuckled as she looked around the floor. "Where did it go then?"

The other girl was fine, too? "Good. 'Cause I didn't want you to get a concussion or something." 'Cause then Alice would have to steer her to Infirmary and she was much too tiny to support the larger girl. "Merpeople. 'Twas for a class assignment. It was either them or Grindylows, and I don't like Grindylows." The lioness screwed up her nose. "So I went with Merpeople. Uh-huuuhhh." 'Cause everyone knew Merpeople were cooler than Grindylows.

She liked this girl already, 'cause she was straightforward. "Hi Sophie!" BEAMBEAMBEAM. "I'm Alice, but I also go by Queen Alice and Little Demon and a bunch of other weird nicknames that you don't need to know about." YEAH. Good start. "I'm a Gryffindor and I like candy and sugar and I'm going to rule the world one day." 'Cause. She was. "OOH. You want to be the Charms Queen? that's a good goal. I wanna be a Queen, too." Queen of the World. Best be getting ready for this little monster, people.

Alice waddled around to the area behind Sophie and found Frank turned upside down, standing on his head with a confused expression. The small girl sat down in the middle of the aisle and overturned him again. After setting him in her lap and turning back to the Badger, she said. "Tis Frank. He's my pet. he's cool. And awesometastical. He's a Frog Prince." Tee hee. "Say haii to the nice new guuuurl, Frank!" Frank burbled at Sophie. Yeah. She kind of needed to teach him some manners. you don't burble at people.

Glenn placed the stack of books that she had been holding at her feet. What would she give to have one of those e-reader things that muggles had right now? She thought her mother bought one a while back before discarding it after she decided plain old books were better... shame it wouldn't work at Hogwarts even if she found it.

She pulled a leather bound book from around her eye height and read the cover, "Dangerous Creatures: Famous Attacks" She dumped it onto her growing pile and pulled another book from the shelf; an equally dull looking one: "In YOUR Cupboard: Theories on What a Boggart Actually Looks like".

She picked up her stack of books, they wobbled then fell. The library was quiet, the sound seeming as loud as a gun shot as they fell on the ground and.... a girl head, Gwen she thought was her name. She stacked her books for DADA in a pile and looked up, "Sorry for uh - dropping my books on your head." She whispered to the girl, standing up and looking up at the bookshelf, "What book are you looking for?" 'Cause the blonde read books, muggle ones mostly, but still books.

As she kept scanning the shelves, Gwendolyn was finally able to spot the book she was looking for. Hmm. Now should she ask for someone to help her? No. That was out of question. She could totally deal with it. The fourth year started looking for her wand. A simple levitating charm would help. Mhm. That should be enough, the girl told herself as she heard footsteps approaching the place where she was standing. Though, Gwendolyn didn’t give any importance to it. It was probably just some other student. Maybe not even someone she knew. Mehh. Why should she even bother? Gwendolyn glimpsed back at the book on the shelve and was about to cast the spell on it, but she was interrupted…

What was happening?

Gwen felt a few books dropping around her. There was no way she could have done something wrong, since she hadn’t even said the incantation of the levitating charm yet. Her eyes darted back to the student who had dropped the books. ‘It’s fine’, she said coldly. Hmph. Whatever. At least the librarian didn’t hear anything. Err. If that was even possible. Gwen picked up a few books from the ground and passed them to the other girl. Don’t be rude… don’t be rude…, she kept telling herself and then glimpsed back at the shelve in attempt to find the book again. Gaah! Where was it? Just as she was trying to locate the book, she heard the other girl ask her what she was looking for. ‘A book about Potions…’, she started saying, but didn’t finish the sentence. Though, maybe the girl could help her?

She continued to scan the shelve, and was finally able to spot the book again. ‘Never mind… I found it…’, she said, more like to herself. As soon as she managed to get it down with the levitating charm, Gwendolyn was ready to go back and start reading. The Ravenclaw drew her attention back to the girl for a moment. Hang on… she knew her from somewhere…
‘You are…’ Baaaad start. Nono. She shouldn’t have started the sentence like that. Gah. Now think, Gwendolyn, think!, she told herself. What was the name of the girl? ‘…Glenn, right?’ Because if it wasn’t her, then the fourth year would feel really stupid.

Sophie chuckled. "Good! I'm glad you're good too!" Because people getting hurt was not cool at all. Especially when you were involved in the incident that could get them hurt.

Aanyway! "Yeah, Grindylows are really mean creatures..." And Sophie did NOT like mean creatures... or people. That was why she already liked this girl! She was nice! "I wrote a story about a Merperson last term for Care Of Magical Creatures!" She nodded. It turned out quite cool, actually! "Merpeople can be really fun!" Not that she really knew a lot about them, but yeah. It was fun writing about them nonetheless.

The Hufflepuff waaaaved at Alice when she sort of greeted her. This girl was funny! Her smile quickly changed to a surprised expression when the Gryffindor said she was called Little Demon by some people. "Little... Demon?? Why??" Alice didn't seem or sound like a demon... especially because of her size. "What year are you in?" When she went on about sugar and stuff, Sophie smiled again. "You sound like Blue! Do you know Blue?" Because everyone seemed to know Blue... it wouldn't be surprising if Alice knew her also. "You do?? Queen of what?" Charms was an awesome option. If Alice ever wanted to be a Charms Queen as well Sophie wouldn't have a problem with that.

Sophie watched as the little girl sat down on the floor and introduced her to Frank. A Frog Prince? Hehehehe! "Oh, hiiii there, Frank!" Teehee! How interesting! The brunette just chuckled as Frank made weird sounds. That was expected from a... Chocolate Frog. "He is really nice!" Grin.

The days came and went and life at Hogwarts had just entered the month of May. After the coke incident a month or so ago now Leobald had picked up his tours around the library to check on what exactly the student's were doing in his library.

The coke on the floor had made him more aware of things. It hadn't been a lot of coke and it hadn't landed on any books luckily so really there was nothing to fuss about but it had made him a bit more conscious of the fact that not everyone followed his rules.

Pushing a cart filled to the brim with returned books ahead of him the dark curly, mop haired librarian steered it towards the many book shelves to the right of the entrance humming on a little tune.

Isabelle was in the mood to read. She'd already trawled through the mini library she kept in her office, although those were mostly references for lessons more than anything else. Coming to the library didn't happen nearly often enough for her either. She was eager to see what Leo had by way of novels.

Speaking of which.

Isabelle's ears perked up when she heard humming coming from just inside the entrance. Walking in through the door, she craned her neck to the left, then the right, to see who it was. Leo. "Nice tune, don't think I know that one" she smiled, wandering up to the other end of the trolley and looking down at the books. "Do you need help with these? I was looking for something good to read, maybe I'll find it among these piles..."

WELL. Alice liked this girl. She was nice. Like Ells. In fact, this girl reminded her a lot of Ella, except that she was louder. "Ella was reading a book on Grindylows when I ran into her and met her... do you know Ella?" 'Cause, well, Alice automatically assumed that all Jigglypuffs Hufflepuffs knew each other. She liked Puffers. They were like the awesomest people, aside from Lions. "I like Merpeople. They're kind of creepy when you're in the water, but they have so many facts about them. And they're more interesting than any other kind of learning." 'Cause.. 'cause learning wasn't fun.

Why did Soph seem so surprised? "YEAHH. I dunno. Twas named that by my fairy godmother." Uh-huh, he was a male godmother. That's right. "His name is Prince Charming!" Nodnodnod. "I'm thirteen. I turned thirteen in January. How old are youu?" Blue? "Uh-huh, Blue's mah bestie." Who was nearly as tall as she was. Alice needed to grow taller. much taller. But, then again, she could always force Alec to give her more piggyback rides. "Imma be Queen of the World. I'm going to rule the world one day, chuu know." Hadn't she heard of Queen Hulk yet? No? hmph.

The lioness beamed at her new friend as she complimented her frog. "Why, thank ya!" BEAMBEAMBEAMMMM. "He's very friendly. But he's rather sad, 'cause someone just ate his wife." That mean lady who had plucked Betsy away from him.. poor Frank hadn't eaten for MINUTES afterwards. Tsk, tsk. "But, if Alec doesn't get a girlfriend soon, he's going to marry Frank!" YEAH. 'Cause Superman would so totally do that. "Do you know Aleeeeeec?" 'Cause he was another Jigglypuff Hufflepuff.

John was holding a book under his arm, while he searched for another one. He was taking his studies seriously this time, he actually looked forward to passing all the exams and graduating. As he searched for the book he needed, he rubbed his nose, that was healing slowly but surely. Kennedy had one strong head, no doubt about that.

Kennedy had been working on his DADA project about dementors when he forgot he had returned the book he needed. So, after getting up from the very comfortable leather couch in the common room, Kennedy made his way to the library.

After a while of searching for said book he turned to another bookshelf and almost collided with the person standing there. He opened his mouth to say something when he noticed who the person was.

Taking a random book from the shelf, Kennedy flipped through it, though his eyes kept flicking over the lion. "Hey," he said, casually. He wasn't sure how to approach this. Johnathan could hold a grudge...a really strong grudge. "How's your nose?"

John heard the most familiar voice, in all of Hogwarts. He turned to look at his young friend who had busted his nose and his spirits. John wanted to ignore Kennedy with all his might, but deep down his brotherly instinct didn't allow that.

"It's still on my face, so that must be good." John answered as he softly touched his nose. "How's your face?" he asked as he pointed at Ken's face.

John wasn't sure how to approach this situation, he's never had an argument this enormous that led to a brawl.

Stopping at the first bookshelf Leobald continued to hum on his tune as he manually put the books back into their proper places. He could have used magic but he liked the satisfaction it gave him to put for example a Gilderoy Lockhart book together with the rest from that collection. Leo was just skimming down the back of a book which looked very thumbed and read from the exterior of it when he heard a woman’s voice speak from somewhere behind him. He knew that it was a woman because the tone of voice was fuller and richer than if it would have been a student.

Turning around slightly blushing Leobald mumbled as his eyes met those of the tall, brown haired Transfiguration Professor. "It was just a tune I heard on the wireless this morning. It stuck I guess." Smiling he gestured towards the books on the trolley. "Not at all Isabelle, I could actually use a hand." He picked up a few books to put up on the shelves. Heading past her Leo nodded "Well that depends on what kind of book you are craving to read. Romance books have been popular of late amongst the students, but that’s probably just because Valentine’s Day is around the corner."
