HERE SHE WAS AGAAAAIN!!!

Sophie skipped into the second year dormitory and looked around. She missed it all SO MUCH! "IT'S SO WONDERFUL TO BE BACK!!" She shouted to the walls.

Finding her trunk already in front of her bed, she hopped over it and started jumping on her bed, waving her arms above her head. "WOOOOO!!! I'M BAACK!!" She couldn't be MORE excited!

Alyssa walked into the 4th Year Girl's Dorm Room. Unfortunately, no one was here yet, but she was sure that the room would fill up soon. She picked the bed nearest to the window, unpacked her trunk and placed her clothes into her dresser table, before changing into her pjs. She then sat on the window sill and looked out the window. As she looked out, she could feel the sadness building inside her again.

She sighed and tried to hold back the tears that were threatening to fall.

Laura walked towards the girls first year dorm, but then stopped and giggled as she said to herself, "What am I doing, I'm a second year now." Laura walked to the girls second year dorm and smiled as she saw Sophie. "This is Cool, I am so glad to be back." Laura smiled at Sophie and then went over to her own bed.

Nettie entered into the girl's dormitory and gave a large yawn as she thought of having pleasant dreams about what life at Hogwarts would be like now that she was finally here. She wasn't paying attention though and entered into the area for the second years. "Oh, hello." Nettie greeted with a tired smile.

The little eleven year old knew she should probably just turn around and find her own bed but she wanted to meet the people in her house, she hadn't really done a good job at that seeing as she spent most of the feast at the Gryffindor table instead. Besides, she would be spending the next six years with this second years, why not get to know them now? "I'm Nettie." She added on with a yawn. The normally hyper and energetic eleven year old was calmed down and running on the slow side, she was ready for bed.

Ella was back...she was back! And she was a second year now! How cool was that? Though it wasn't that much different than being a first year, Ella felt WAY older. More confident. More excited! And her trunk was here too! She smiled at this, happy that it arrived safely. She noted that Sophie and Laura were also in the dorm checking things out and jumped up and down. "Can you believe we're second years?! This term is going to rock!"

Carigan walked back into her dorm room. "LAURA! SOPHIE! ELLA!" she smiled as she ran to them and grabbed them all individually in a big round f bear hugs. Second years... wow. It was now really setting in.

Sophie was still jumping on her bed when the door opened and Laura came in. "Haaai, Laura!" She said excitedly as her hair waved around the air and she waved her hands around too. "It IS cool, isn't it! Can't wait to have more Berti Botts parties and pillow fights!" She exclaimed.

She was just finishing up her sentence when Ella arrived too! "Heey, Ella!" She waved at her too, stiiil jumping as high as she could. "I was just talking about our parties! And YES! This year is going to be BRILLIANT!!" Sophei just new it!

Jump! Jump! Jump!

When the door opened again, Sophie was ready to shout 'CARIGAN!' when she noticed it wasn't her friend, but a little girl she had never seen before! She stopped jumping but kept bouncing a little on her bed. "Hi there!! Welcome to Hogwarts!" She waved once again. "I'm Sophie!"


And for the fourth time the door opened. And this time it waaas Carigan! "Heeeeeeeeey, Carigaaaaaaaaan!!" Sophie bounced on her bed, but was soon pulled down and was hugged by her friend. Giggling, she hugged her back and soon started jumping again!

Gah! They were all here! The girls were back in action! Ella was smiling from ear to ear, so happy to be back among her friends. She jumped up on to her bed and began bouncing up and down on the mattress, giggling. "Our parties were awesome, weren't they?" She asked cheerfully. When the second year noticed the door open again, she turned to see Carigan! "Hey Carigan, welcome back!!" She called excitedly.

Noting the younger looking girl who was also in the room, Ella gave her a warm smile. "Hey, welcome to Hufflepuff. I'm Ella!"

Nettie smiled at the girl, if she hadn't been so tired she might have thought of joining her with the jumping on the beds. "Hello Sophie!" She smiled. "You're a second year?" She inquired.

Nettie turned around and looked at who was speaking to her now. There were was so much excitement in the room that even a tired Nettie couldn't help but smile from ear to ear now. "Hello Ella!" She said with a wave of her hand. "Thank you." She added on.

"I'm sorry if I crashed in on your party." She said addressing all of the second year girls now. "I wasn't really paying attention..." she trailed off, but she didn't care now. She was making friends with people in her House!

"They weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere!!!" Sophie exclaimed to Ella, back to her jumpiiing as high as possible! "We need more of those! Maybe even invite some girls from other years as well! Like Nettie here!" She added smiling widely.

Then she turned to the younger girl. "Yes, I'm a second year!" She said with some of her hair on her face. She tossed it back but it was soon on her face again, so she just left it waving around while she jumped. "Oh, not a problem!" Sophie said, calming down a little. "The more the merrier!" She said with a grin. "Would you care to join us here for a while?"

Ella waved back at the girl and gave her a wide smile. "You're welcome. I think you'll really like being a Hufflepuff, it's great and everybody is really nice." She said sincerely, stopping her jumping for a moment. As for the girl crashing their party, she totally wasn't. "Don't be silly. You're welcome to come and hang out with us whenever you want." Grin. "I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name. What is it?" Because it was important to know the name of a new friend.

But then Sophie had called the girl Nettie and Ella smiled. Their new friend was called Nettie, quite a nice name indeed. "Yeah Soph, that's a great idea. It'll be nice to get the other girls involved too!"

When Sophie invited Nettie to join them, Ella plopped down on her bed and sat with her legs crossed, eyeing the first year curiously. "So Nettie, where are you from?" Might as well get to know each other, yeah? While she waited for an answer, Ella crawled to the edge of her bed and reached into her open trunk, pulling out some gummy worms. "Anyone hungry?" She asked, wiggling the bag in the air.

Sophie, that was still jumping, watched when Ella plopped down and sat with her legs crossed on her bed. She grinned and did the exact same thing, sitting up straight, placing her legs on the edge of the bed and crossing them gently, like a lady.

"Why, yes! Tell us all about you!" She said with a heavy English accent, holding an imaginary cup of tea and taking a sip. Blink. Blink. GRIN.

Hungry? Hadn't they just come from the Feast? "Thank you, Ella!" She said politely, like the lady she was being.

Ahem.

Nettie couldn't help but smile at Sophie. "Sure!" She replied with a smile, "I'd love to." She said as she kicked off her shoes near the door and joined Sophie jumping on the bed. If this was what Hogwarts was going to be like, Nettie would never leave.

Nettie took a short break from jumping and plopped down on the bed sitting with her legs tucked underneath her body. "I'm from Scotland." She said with a smile, normally most people could pick up on her slight accent, but then again most people didn't really pay that much attention to her because of her size. Everyone seemed to think she was a lot younger than she really was.

She didn't know what else to share, so she shrugged her shoulders. "I like to run." She added on. "And to read, mostly running though." She finished with a large smile.

Ella laughed as Sophie plopped down on her own bed and pretended to drink tea. That looked like a fun idea. Placing the bag of gummy worms on the bed, she pretended to grip her own cup of tea and took a long imaginary sip before pretending to burn her mouth. "Oh dear, this tea is a bit too hot if I do say so myself." She said airly, waving her other arm in the air. Giggle. She was happy that Sophie also had agreed to have some gummy worms. "You're very welcome, dear." She said in her best old lady accent, handing her friend some worms.

As Ella listened to Nettie talk, she smiled reassuringly at her, not wanting her to feel nervous or anything. "Scotland huh? That's cool." Though she probably should have guessed as much, especially with Nettie's accent and all. Duh. As for Nettie's interests, they were the same as Ella's! How cool. "You like to run? Me too. I love it! I run all the time at home." Yup, this second year was a lover of running. "And reading is great too! It's good that you like to read cause I'm sure we'll do a ton of it during this term."

"Hi Nettie, I'm Carigan!" Carigan smiled at the girl.

"So, girls, how was your summers since I last saw you?" She asked with a smile as she sat down on her bed and her Raven, Hamlet, flew from the top of the bed frame to her shoulder.

Sophie, still holding her imaginary cup of tea, smiled when Nettie said where she was from. "Scotland does sound lovely, does it not, Ella?" She said with the same heavy accent. She suppressed a giggle when Ella pretended to burn herself. Cleaning her throat, she continued. "Do be careful, my dear, you do not want to spill this delicious tea all over our beddings!" Then she took some gummy worms and took a small bite. She was a lady, after all. "Why, these are just lovely, dear! And I bet they are just as healthy as they are pretty!" HEH!

Oh! Nettie and Ella liked running! Sophie liked running around like a crazy eprson too! "We should go ahead and run together someday! Around the lake or something!" Sophie was no athlete, but she could enjoy herself! "Hogwarts has such beuatiful grounds!" She said bouncing on her bed.

Then she turned her head to look at Carigan. "Well, mum finally let me help around with her garden!!" Carigan probably knew how Sophie's mum was super protective over her garden, right? She had seen how crazy Marcy was with plants, heh. "It was SO FUN!!" She said throwing her arms up in the air. "What about you? And how is Reagan?"

Laura sat listening to everyone, she hadn't realised that anyone had spoken to her, she even hadn't seen that a first year girl was in the dorm, she was too busy thinking about what her twin sister was doing now and she was also thinking about something else but well she didn't want any of them involved in it.

Ella looked to Carigan and smiled. "The rest of my summer was nice. I got to see my Gram perform with her acting group and she let me work in the garden with her. I also went to some music shows with Dad. Oh! And most importantly...I bought a broom!" So exciting! "How was the rest of yours?" Hopefully it had been fun.

Ella continued her act with Sophie, holding her imaginary cup of tea with her pinky up. "Oh yes, Sophie. Scotland does sound delightful." She almost couldn't control her laughter as Sophie warned her not to spill tea on the beddings. HAH beddings. "No worries, my good lady, I'll be oh so careful from now on." The second year could no longer keep up the act though when Sophie tried to eat her gummy worm like a proper lady. It just looked so funny. She began to giggle and put her hand over her mouth to stifle the laughter.

Ella was more than happy to agree to go running with the girls, that sounded like a great idea! "I'll go running with you guys if you want! I'd love that."

Laura's silence didn't go unnoticed and Ella was pretty worried about her friend. She seemed so down lately and that made Ella sad. Turning to face her friend, she raised her eyebrows curiously before speaking. "Hey Laura, everything okay? You seem upset."

Laura just sat on her bed staring into space, she was thinking about something that had happened over the summer that had been a complete shock to her, she hadn't notice that Ella was looking at her and she didn't hear anything that Ella said, she just continue to stare at the wall thinking.

Louise walked into the dorm, she was so tried after a busy day

"Wow, Nettie! Scotland sounds super cool! I've never been... I'm from Canada myself. My dad is originally from England and my mom from Whales. But my dad's family moved to Canada when he was in his first year and my mom's family did when she was in second year." She smiled at the new girl and laughed as the others pretended to be very high class ladies.

She then looked to Laura who was being uncharacteristically quiet. Where was the crazy girl she had hand walking races with last year? She went over to Laura and sat down next to her. "Is everything okay?" she asked puting her hand on Laura's shoulder.

Laura nearly jumped out of her skin when someone sat down next to her and spoke. "Eh, what was that Carigan?" Laura hadn't actually heard what Carigan had said she had been too busy thinking about things and what her future might hold.

Ella frowned when Laura didn't even respond to her. Something was definitely up with her friend and it made her sad that she didn't know what. She watched as Carigan walked over to Laura's bed and sit down, asking if she was okay. Ella followed suit and grabbed a handful of gummy worms for added incentive for Laura to feel better. She liked sweets, yeah?

When Ella got to the foot of Laura's bed, she held out her hand and offered her friend the tasty worms with a small smile. "Here, these will help fix whatever is bothering you." At least a little. Sugary things were good like that.

Laura looked at Ella and sighed, she didn't really fancy eating anything at the minute. "No thanks Ella." Laura really wanted to speak to Aaron about why he had decided to leave Hogwarts without first telling her why or worst of all saying goodbye.

Laura realised that Ella and Carigan wouldn't leave without her cheering up, maybe she still had some great friends even if Aaron had let her down. "Have you felt so annoyed with someone because the've left without saying goodbye?"
