Ian felt his hands clasped with hers and then the pressure of her trying to remove them. He was a little deflated when she said she had no idea. He removed his hands and came up beside her, looking a little more saddened to show her. "I guess I should have expected that. I haven't been here in some time." He gave her half a grin and said, "Hi, Sophie."

Sophie didn't let go of the hand of the mystery person as he uncovered her eyes and she jumped up when she realized who it was. "IAN!!" She gave him a warm hug and bounced up and down after releasing him. "It's great to see you!!"

Wait. Whyyy the sad look??? "Are you okay?? What happened? Where have you been??" Oops, lots of questions! She quickly looked around and pointed her wand at another chair that was a few meters away from them. "Accio chair!" A big smile spread across her face as the chair dragged itself in their direction. YAY! It had worked! "There you go!" Sophie gestured towards the other chair as she sat back down on her own near the window, holding her wand tightly as she placed both hands on her lap. "When did you get back??"

His sadness quickly changed to joy when he realized she did remember him and he was quickly covered in a hug and then the girl bouncing up and down screaming his name. That made him feel much better.

"Well," he said blushing "I thought you didn't remember who I was so it made me feel a little sad." As the chair came close to him, he felt it hit his legs and he sat down. "I'm mostly ok," he told her. "Mum and dad had some questions and concerns so they made me stay home. Now I'm trying to catch up." As she sat back in her own chair, he smiled at Sophie and said, "I got back a little over a week ago I suppose. I've been buried in books ever since." He was very glad to see this particular Huffie.

Oh, and now he was happy again? Haha! Cool! Confusing, but cool! Sophie smiled when he said the fact she might not remember him would make him sad. Aw. "Of course I remember, you, Iaaan! My memory is not that bad!" She said jokingly while chuckling.

'Mostly' ok? that comment made Sophie frown a little and she listened carefully as he told her what happened. Sort of. "You mean questions about you being a wizard?" Because she knew he was a muggleborn. Maybe his parents were still a bit confused about his magical abilities? "Are they okay about everything now?" Since Ian was back... they probably were, right?

"Oh, I haven't been out lately... I was kind of ill last week, so I didn't even go to classes." The second year told him casually. It was no big deal, really, but it had been enough to make her stay in the dorms for a whole week. She didn't mind it, having such great besties! And obviously, that gave her even more time to practice spells! "If you need any help catching up, let me know! Especially with spells and this kind of things." Grin! She did love spells!

Ian sat down close to her and resisted the urge to give her a great big hug. It meant so much to have people who remembered him and she seemed to think he was an ok guy. Grinning, he said "I'm just not too sure that I am worth remembering at times."

He nodded at her question. "A little bit. It seems to have caused a bit of a row between mum and dad. Dad thinks I should be normal and go to regular classes, mum says I'm special and should be where they can help me control whatever I have. It's been so bad lately that they talked about parting ways. I'm hoping that doesn't happen, but they let me come back."

He didn't resist the urge this time. "Aww...that's awful." He hugged her to let her know that he was here and would be happy to help if she needed it. "Thank you. I may take you up on that. I didn't have a lot of friends at Hogwarts, but I'd hate to have to be a year behind them."

Whaaat?? "Of course you are, Ian!" Why would he think he wasn't worth remembering! Everyone was worth remembering! That was so sad he thought that of himself! "Why do you think that?? You have friends who care for you, you know!" And those friends would always remember him! especially if they were Hufflepuffs. Yep!

Sophie listened as he told her about his parents. Oh no! That sounded really sad. "I hope this doesn't happen either..." She said still holding her wand tightly. Watching a family fall apart was one of the saddest things that existed... "And how are y-"

Before she could finish her question Ian hugged her. Ohh noo! Was he that sad??? The poor boy... Sophie patted him on the back, feeling sorry for him. "It's okay, Ian..." Everything would be fine, yeah? She really hoped so. "And you still have your Hufflepuff family if you need!" Grin.

When he released her and thanked her she gave him a smile. Helping out a friend would be nice. Especially if it had spells involved, hehehe! Spells were always great! "Don't worry, you won't need to stay a year behind." The subjects weren't even that difficult. If they had to take Alchemy, then it would have been a problem... but since they don't, it was all good! "Just let me know whenever you need help and I'll see what I can do, alright?"

Did he want to learn any spells now? Teehee! She twirled her wand in her hand as she looked through the window. She was just out there practicing, but she wouldn't mind practicing more. Practice makes perfect! Isn't that what people say?

Laura was really upset after the detention, the slime in her hair, being chained to the wall wasn't as bad as losing the one chance she had with Oakey, she had promised him she would take him to the Hospital wing but she had gotten distracted with a few other things and had forgotten to take Oakey to the Hospital wing, which had caused him to get Detention, so now she was sure that he wouldn't even want to even look at her again let allow speak to her.

Laura took out a book and started to read, she was trying to fight back the tears that she knew would come if she thought about him much longer, why did she feel like this, she felt like she had let him down and that she deserved everything she got.

Oakey came slouching back into the common room, He was still in his Team uniform after their loss to Slytherin, only it was now slightly filthy with slime on it's sleeves. He was hoping that Keefer wasn't here at the moment, but would eventually apologize to him.

The person he was actually looking for at the moment was Laura. She couldn't have gotten to far from him. They had both just come from the same detention, he searched the room until he spotted a slime covered girl. He walked over to her and placed his hand on her shoulder. He wanted to speak up, but was unsure what to say. So he just stood there with his hand on her shoulder.

Laura had tried to escape from Oakey but obviously she hadn't done a very good job because there he was and she was still covered in slime and her Hair was totaly ruined, she had mention that before right, she looked at him when he put his hand on her shoulder, that was a great feeling maybe he wasn't going to stop being friends with her, well anyway.

Laura looked up into Oakey's eyes, and looked at his handsome face and decided it was time to appologise. "Oakey I'm really sorry I didn't take you to the Healer, as she said to me everything was my fault, all the world troubles are my fault, everything, and if you don't want to speak to me again I understand." Laura looked away from Oakey so he didn't see her cry.

Oakey wasn't ready for a crying Laura, He wasn't sure if he was ready for Laura after this detention at all. He gripped her shoulder tighter not out of anger but because he was now trying to hold back tears as well.

Laura was convinced it was all her fault. Maybe it was, but Oakey didn't want her to feel that way. No-no, I'm sorry. He shot back at her. I promised I'd be there for you no matter what and I couldn't do anything while Evil Healer clearly abused her authority in the Torture Chamber. He let go of her shoulder and dashed off to the boy's dorm.

He had a lot going on in his mind right now. His broken promise to Laura, and his broken promise to Keefer with the resulting loss in their Quidditch match. Keefer had confidence in his ability to play today so much so that he convinced Hadley and Tillstorm to let him play. Of course Oakey had to go and injure himself during the match, poor Keefer must be devastated.

Alyssa came down from the Girl's Dormitory looking for Laura. She was supposed to meet her here to help her with something. Since she wasn't anywhere to be seen at the moment, Alyssa plopped herself on the sofa and started to work on her Arithmancy Homework assignment. This would be the last for the term and she was determined to do well on it.

'Might as well stay busy until she shows up.' Alyssa thought to herself. Looking up every couple of minutes from what she was doing to see whether the 2nd year girl had shown up.

Laura ran into the common room she was late for her meeting with Alyssa, she had been really busy trying to get her owl to stay still, whilst she tried to tell it, it couldn't go far but the owl wanted to go with the others, but she had managed the get it to stay somehow though she had no idea how.

"Lyssie I'm sorry I'm late." Laura ran upto her friend and hugged her, she hoped that Lyssie wasn't mad with her it wasn't her fault she had lost track of time.

Alyssa looked up when she heard a flurry of running feet. She smiled. She knew that it had to be Laura. "No worries, Laura. I was doing my homework while waiting for you. So what's up? What did you want to see me about?" Alyssa asked the younger girl.

"Is everything okay with your owl?" Alyssa still remembered the splint that she had placed on its wing when it had gotten damaged. She had been wondering whether the splint had worked.

Laura looked at Lyssie and smiled. "Well I was wondering... Well it's sort of hard to ask." Laura blushed a bit, why was this hard. "Well I was hoping you could help me put some make-up on." Okay so Laura had asked her now, all she had to do was wait for Lyssie to laugh at her but she hoped she wouldn't after all they were like sisters.

Laura smiled at Lyssie. "The owls okay but it still annoys me when it wants to fly for ages but I won't let it until it has flown a bit longer, I want it to be strong before it flies even further.

Alyssa listened as Laura told her about how her owl was doing and was glad that it was doing better. "That's a smart thing to do, Laura. You were right to keep it from flying long distances right now. It needs to slowly get stronger before it does that." Alyssa smiled at the younger girl. She was getting so matured now in her thinking.

Then Alyssa blinked. Laura wanted her to teach her how to put make-up on? Alyssa grinned. "You want me to help you to put make-up on? Is this about Oakey? You do know that you are already beautiful and don't need to put make-up on to get him to like you right? If he doesn't like you the way you are, then he needs to get his eyes fixed."Alyssa told her, but she could understand Laura feeling the need to do that. So she nodded.

"Sure I could teach you, although as you can see I'm not putting on any at the moment. With all the running around we do in school, I just felt that it wasn't necessary to do so. But I don't mind teaching you, so that when you get back home, you can try practising putting it on yourself. We should do it in the Girl's Dorm though." Alyssa advised her.

"We don't want the boys seeing us doing that down here. They will most likely roll their eyes and say that we're putting on war paint or something." Alyssa grinned at the younger girl.

Louise went down the stairs, she was just going to meet her friends for dinner, then she was going to do some homework,as she was about to leave, she frozen, she could not speak

Ella was headed towards the stairs to the dormitories, needing to grab her Arithmancy text book for homework, when she almost knocked over a girl she hadn't talked to before. O___O "I'm SO sorry." She said, taking a step back, feeling quite bad about it. "Um...hello?" What was up with this girl, anyway? "Erm...earth to badger?" Merlin's beard! She'd killed her! She'd killed this girl! EEP! Was anyone else seeing this?! The second year slowly waved her hands in front of the girl's face, hoping to snap her out of whatever trance she was currently in.

Laura was about to reply to Lyssie when she said she was beautiful without make-up on but she still wanted to be taught it would be a fun thing to do to turn up in a class with loads of make-up on expecially if the Professor was hot, not that Laura thought any Professor were hot, but you never know when one was going to turn up did you.

She was thinking about what Lyssie was saying when she saw this girl come in and then her Bestie Ella, who had this feeling she had done something to the girl since well she had basically said earth to badger, Laura giggled that was a good one from her bestie.

Laura walked upto both girls before grabbing the other girl that Ella was talking to by her shoulders. "Hello anyone home?" Laura was going to get this girl to speak if she could. "Hogwarts we have a problem." Laura was hoping the girl was listening to her.
