Hurrying down to court area reserved for Gobstones matches, Leobald sincerely hoped that he wasn't late. Seeing Josephina already there his mood dropped a peg but he beamed at her nontheless. "Good afternoon miss joint advisor!"

Enough talk, hastily he pulled out two bags of stones from his tote. One bag filled with yellow stones, the other, green. He knew he was was on time to start the first match and he only hoped that some members from each house would show up soon.

Upon seeing a few, he nodded respectively at both houses, handing them each their respective colored stones before continuing with the customary beforehand speech. "You've read the rules. Any horseplay or cheating or anything poor misendeavors will not be tolerated. Good luck."

OCC: The match will be run by by both Nordic Witch & PhoenixRising simultaneously as we will take turns holding the rounds of the game.

West Odessa snatched the stones back from his prefect. He wanted to PLAY too it seemed. He got his stone rolling just before Minerva Wheatborn had managed to get possession of the yellow stones. Flailing to get her stone rolling the badger thrust it away with too much force. The stone whizzed passed the whole board before stopping closely to the ege. West's green stone however elegantly took its position next to the Jack.

West Odessa kept a hold of the green stones and didn't let any other snake near them. If they tried Mr Kitridge was certain the boy would have argued his cause. For the badgers the Hufflepuff Captain Keefer was back. The green and yellow stones raced each other towards the Jack in the center. In the end though the green stone outdrew the yellow stone and reclaimed the post next to the Jack. Was Slytherin taking charge of the match or would the badger fight back?

Watching the players engage themselves, Josephina nodded and frowned and nodded again, until Leobald gave her the go ahead to conclude the match. It was close, she knew and anything was possible, even if Snakes did carry the lead ....

Giving a curt nod to both sides, she waited for them to toss their stones onto the court.

The Hufflepuff captain rolled first, his gold stone whizzing quickly on the court and eventually rolling to a stop right next to the Jack Stone. Close enough to make the green-robed players not even attempt a roll, since there was no point....

Giving a subtle signal to the younger Hufflepuff, Lewis received the signal and rolled the golden stone onto the court. Similar to Keefer's, Lewis' stone sailed gracefully along the court, once more without interruption.

Josephina wondered for a moment if Lafay told them to stay away from her or something. But she quickly waived that thought off. Lafay may have disliked her, but that didn't mean she would tell her Snakes to skive of something that may help them win. Ah well, she'd give them another round to show before she would put the match on break.

Oh good. A Slytherin decided to have a roll of her green stone after all. Watching as the young third year, Harlow Riddle, cast her green stone onto the court, Keefer released his stone the same moment.... Both stones seemed content to roll slowly toward the center..... and then, what was this.... ? Ah, the yellow stone rolled to a stop just closer to the Jack Stone!

The third year Snake blinked at her stone a moment, not understanding how it could have missed. While she was studying, reflecting on the previous roll, West Odessa was determined and fiercely rolled his green stone. Matched by Keefer Marius, both stones whizzed passed the spectators - including one Professor Romanos who still seemed to figuring out what happened in the game.

Both stones seemed close and then ..... at last moment, the yellow stone inches just closer to the Jack Stone than the green. Hufflepuff claims the round, tying the match!

It was Keefer versus West again; though Keefer may have had the advantage of being older and more experienced, that didn't make West any less skilled. The boy had talent, for that much, Josephina was clear as she watched both boys release their stones again.

The yellow stone whizzing to a stop just a bit closer again to the Jack Stone....

Captain on captain this time.... the two older students cast their stones onto the court, watching them roll peacefully toward the center.... it was close, but then the green one swayed off course (Note: I asked for the DADA textbook for first years ;D).... as the yellow one continued steadily on pace toward the center and stopped once more near the Jack Stone.

After the short break, Josephina gave a look toward Leobald and then back at the students. Time for them to bring in the match... which could go either one or two more rounds more .... depending on how the eighth round went....
