He wasn't paying attention to anything, really. His mind kept wandering off to his problems. It was as if the small voice in his head kept on speaking and making his mind see sense.
All in all, he was just having a silent conversation with himself.
A small smile crossed his face as he sat there, staring and twiddling his thumbs. He didn't notice someone sitting down next to him. For all he knew, it could have been a gentle breeze coming in from an open window. Or he could just be imagining things, as usual. He reached up and ruffled his hair inside his hood.
But then the person whispered in his ear, making Alec jumped slightly. He lowered his hood and turned carefully to the person sitting next to him. BLINK. This person's face was VERY close to his. He could notice some really fine details about her eyes. But it was then, as he was looking at her eyes, and then her hair, that he realised who it was. "Brooke!" he whispered, leaning forwards to give the girl a big hug, "Hey there!" She had whispered her name so... it wasn't too much of a surprise.
Brooke felt so distant lately, she wasn't sure why. She hadn't been doing anything particularly different so she wasn't exactly more of less distant from anyone than she ever had been. She'd owl'd her family the other day making sure to get someone to spell check her letter before she'd sent it, people had said she was improving on her spelling she liked that. She liked it a lot.
She didn't want to make a big whoo-haa over the person sat looking quite upset, or so she presumed because they were sat with their hood up looking not very social but she couldn't help but go over to them. No whoo-ha would be needed though, she wasn't going to start jumping around and waving no matter how much she wanted too.
After Brooke had whispered into the boys ear she waited, like some sort of tiger waiting to jump on its prey, not that she was planning on jumping on the boy even if she had known it was Alec; if it were Dar then possibly maybe but anyone else was a no no. It was when she was given a hug the smile on her face grew evermore. She returned the hug without another word, giving Alec a little squeeze after realising it was him, her and Alec were...hugging. heheheheh. this was good! amazing actually!
"Hey." she giggled, continuing to hug him.
"..Are..Why are you sad, Alec?" the blonde pouted.
