"Thank you Alyssa." Quote:
She was ready to take the buckets from him and throw them into the trees but she thought that would be a tad much and no doubt wasteful if they Bowtruckles hadn't seen them go by. "So we need to start feeding them, like now." Callie said, slightly more calm since he was here. She wasn't too angry since he brought the lice late rather than never. Quote:
Quote:
Suddenly Vickers was once again stepping infront of her to try and keep the things off of her, despite them wanting to attack him aswell. She watched as he levitated some of the wood lice out of Murdoch's buckets and sent them off into the woods. They would probably go too. He was a smart one, such a Ravenclaw. Her knight in....blue-trimmed robes, Sir Vickers Bowtrucklebane. Go him! Quote:
She would head over to save her just as soon as she could. Quote:
Good thing, she hadn't the slightest clue as to what to do. The lice were here and it seemed she had two more knights, Waylon and William. "Yes, everyone do as Professor Williamson says and begin levitating wood lice near the Bowtruckles and then out of the clearing." She took her own wand and began to do the same as the other adults and kids began to pull in closer to the center. Oh and the Healer, right. Another artic fox Patronus was sent out towards the castle. SPOILER!!: Kurumi, Elijah, and Bowtruckles "Mr. Wilde another five points from Hufflepuff! Now get over here to get some lice and stop attacking that Bowtruckle!" Callie shouted at the Hufflepuff boy who had been arguing with Prefect Hollingberry on his treatment of the beast. She would have taken another 5 points for shouting but everyone was doing it now, including herself and William so it was sort of a mute point now. "Kurumi, please head this way and keep levitating woodlice." Callie was much calmer now that she had some help, despite the growing headache that was Elijah. Quote:
Quote:
She had been busy levitating the creepy-crawlies when Callie noticed the Ravenclaw Prefect had a Bowtruckle on his shoulder and was feeding it. That was nice. But then he was arguing with Kurumi and Elijah about the other boy's treatment of the Bowtruckles. "Spike over here, I've taken care of it. Help us lead the others away please." He was good with creatures, right? Quote:

Food was flying EVERYWHERE. O_O Bowtruckles looked up from the small soft one's legs and arms that they were biting and scratching to see woodlice brought by the grown man soft ones and they immediately began to hop into the air and try and grab it, with most of them slowly, yet surely, leaving into the woods where they had come from. The one that had been blasted off of a stick by the one soft one with long-ish hair (Elijah) flew through the air and gobbled up a few lice before hitting the ground and skipping off into the woods but not before dropping a small golden, yet tarnished, locket to the ground that hadn't been noticed before. When you get a closer look at the piece of jewelry a small word can be made out in curvy caligraphy: Amarantha. Whatever that meant. As the small horde of Bowtruckles left some turned back around to shout Bowtruckle insults at some of the intruders before disappearing into the woods once more. Even the little one that was sitting on the Nettle-headed one's shoulder (Spike) slowly slumped down and finished nibbling at the wood lice it had recieved and waved, sort-of before walking off. Once the wood lice had mostly been distributed out of the clearing the last Bowtruckle hopped into the nearest tree and it was quiet again. |
O__O Ella had been talking quietly to the bowtruckles, arms raised in surrender, as she noticed Nessie faint! EEP! They weren't that scary, were they! They were just little stick things! The second year frowned and went to stand by the older girl, not wanting anything to harm her. Both fortunately and unfortunately (for Nessie), Professor Williamson was storming onto the scene and tripping right over the badger! Oh Merlin! Ella hoped he hadn't hurt her...But HEY! IT WAS PROFESSOR WILLIAMSON! *INNER FLAILING* The second year hadn't seen him since he was all frozen like a popsicle. Beam.Beam.Beam. It was good to see him out and about and acting like the looney professor he usually was. Doing as instructed, Ella back into the middle of the clearing and held her wand out in front of her, pointed at the wood lice inside the bucket that Mr. Murdoch had brought And it seemed to work as the bowtruckles were calming down a bit. THANK MERLIN. Now they could get back to normal, yeah? |
Major catch up Alright so the task at hand had seemed perfectly mundane and Gideon was doing his best to contribute, collecting a few branches on his own. However it certainly wasn't to remain that way as the class had seemed to awaken quite a few creatures. Bowtrickles to be precise there to go after them for taking the branches. Right...they were protective of their trees, that bit of information being something he seemed to remember at that point in time. Gideon didn't need his fellow prefect's instructions to stop to do so seeing as he had a pretty good idea that if they continued what they were doing, it was only going to make the creatures more upset. So far so good in the ability to not getting singled out by the bowtruckles but he lowered his collection back down onto the ground to appease them. Maybe just maybe Professor Elwood should have checked with the groundskeeper or COMC professor about what might happen when she instructed the students to do what she asked them to. Of course all control seemed to fail as students got excited or rather bothered by the bowtrickles and the sixth year tried to remember what to do to calm them. Kurumi seemed to know that as well as first she mentioned wood lice and fairy eggs and then Professor Elwood seemed to catch on. Right...need one of those two things. Gideon looked around for the eggs and lice as he started to walk, wary of any creatures who might look like they were ready to go for him. Hearing another adult voice, the Gryffindor looked over only to spot the groundskeeper arriving in response to the patronus with just what they needed...LICE. And then a loud voice exclaiming they were to stop what they were doing and gather back towards him. Professor Williamson had arrived to join the party. The prefect obeyed, making his way over to the three adults and the buckets, his wand already out once he arrived. "Wingardium Leviosa..." he cast at the creatures, managing to leviate a handful from their previous homes. "Fixate..." the woodlice freezing momentarily. "Locomotor lice...." Gideon cast finally, slowly moving the bowtruckle's food out towards the edge of the clearing, doing his best to be careful of other people. |
WE'VE BEEN HERE *hmph* ....okay eww? This would be a great time to conjure one of the hairnets and put them on before some of the woodlice would take refuge and turn into hairlice. No, Louisa did not care about bowtruckles or those freaking out, she was highly conscious of the fact that she had a lovely long dark and thick enough hair instead. And she needed to protect the hair. Quickly throwing whatever she had gathered, like Williamson and Elwood instructed, and wrapped her hair into a tight bun up on her head, and bent down using one of the wooden sticks to hold it up there tight and steady - emergency girly issue resolved. Moving on... Louisa took her wand out and very confidently waved it at the bucket that held the -shudder- woodlice, levitating some and with one sharp motion with the wand, they were shot toward the treeline hopefully without smacking into someone on their way over there. The seventh year repeated the process again, bending down and gathering her sticks as she worked this time. And slowly walking closer to the professors where all the sticks were supposed to be gathered. She was more focusing on the levitating-shooting-woodlice though... which were now literally flying everywhere thanks to a bunch of others levitating them. EWWWWW! With a screwed up face, the girl threw her sticks onto the pile and squatted down. She was NOT going to stand when there were third years using the levitation spell on WOODLICE. Nope. Not a chance. From where she positions herself, she went on with the work... a bit with difficulty now that she was barely seeing anything from higher than two feet. Heh. |
rotflmaoded!!! SPOILER!!: Elijah Did she say something? Not that something he wanted her to say about him. Tooootally the opposite. And the Curly!Puff wasn’t helping with him trying to ignore his Kurumi!angst by continuously harping about it, like scratching a wound thats struggling to heal. *** Then chaos ensued. In the middle of the Forbidden Forest. Oh yeah it just keeps getting better and better. He turned his head towards Elijah, the Ravenclaw’s features contorted into disbelief and a silent scream. Stop yelling fool! Bowtruckles would be the least of their problems when the whole Forest population zeroes in on where they are. Oh yeah a knockback jinx while the creature you’re trying to knock back is on your wand hand. Yes brilliant! Now its plain to see why he wears the yellow robes. People fainting, hiding behind bushes, verbalizing what he just did ( ) egg-collecting ( :whut: ), freezing-- WHAT? His attention is pulled towards the sudden appearance of the Dragon Keeper. Alright! Instructions on how to save their skin…. .... which carried on with what he did earlier. So that wasn’t a mistake? Huzzah! But there was soooo many bowtruckles now he wasn’t sure if hoisting all the buckets towards the treeline would be the best way to get all the bowtruckles cleared out. What if the creatures miss the flying buckets? What if some are just dense like that? So instead he picked up several long-ish sticks and gritted his teeth, struggling to keep his screaming OC squeamishness as he drew near the lice-filled buckets. He dipped the sticks into it and allowed the lice to crawl all around it, levitating one stick and dangling it temptingly at a group of snapping Bowtruckles “Hey look what I got…. Yeah.. yeah?.. you like that right? Go fetch!” he said, levitating that stick towards the treeline then dropping it on the forest floor. He repeated this a few more times. Clenching his jaw tightly to keep himself from getting sick, he levitated one lice-covered stick after another out of the buckets, hover over the bowtruckles then bait them out of the clearing. Just goooo Bowtruckles. Or you'll have Vickers' breakfast as an extra with your lunch. Aaaaaaand they were gone... bowtruckles hopping and slinking off one by one until it was only them Wizards and Witches left in the forest. From where he stood he saw something dull catching whatever light filtered from the trees. "There's something there." he pointed at the location of what looks to be some kind of dully shiny thing. He looked around their class "Anybody dropped their stuff?" a likely scenario given the panic that just occured. |
SPOILER!!: Vickers Bowtrucklebane *DIES* Elijah had been THIS close (See how CLOSE that is? Seeeeee? Well, if you don't let me tell you, it was SO close) to turning round and shouting at the Professor taking points off of him. Sure, he may have jinxed the little beasts but at least he had done something. She was the Professor! She was supposed to be doing HER JOB. Hmph. SPOILER!!: LITTLE BEASTS Elijah felt RELIEF as the little pest that had been on his arm jumped off eventually and freed him from further assault. He noticed, however, a locket that seemed to have come loose from the larger bowtruckle. He walked over to it, picking it up from the ground with his much less-damaged left hand, turning it in his fingers. It was pretty expensive looking and would probably only make him look more attractive. He quickly put it around his neck, more concerned for his hand at the moment. "Can some adult who DOES know what they are doing," yeah, that dig was at YOU Elwood, "Look at my hand please? Tell me it won't scar! I can't have an unattractive hand attached to this gorgeous body." |
Locket-bearer Elijah :P And just as he pointed int out, Vickers watched Elijah pick up that locket, turn it over in his hand and wear it on himself. He drew near Elijah just as he was hearing him whine about his hand. "Is it bleeding a lot?" because if it isnt then chances are its just a scatch Curly!Puff. Then he angled his head at the locket around his neck. "Were you wearing that before? I dont remember you wearing any... fancy jewelry." Fancy as in girlyyyyy |
Quote:
"Oh my hand?" he asked, as Vickers questioned whether or not it was bleeding, "I think it is a little. I mean, it isn't DRIPPING blood or anything, I think the little buggars sliced me open a tiny bit is all. It freakin' stings though! Like a bad papercut." He held out the maimed hand to the 'Claw, "You have a look, you are probably the smartest person I know. Will it survive? Just tell me straight, Vee, does this thing need...." GULP "... amputated?" Vickers also seemed to notice the locket Elijah had retrieved from the bowtruckle. "Oh this," he indicated, bending his chin as far down as possible, looking the jewelry over in his left hand again. "That little BEAST that had latched itself to my hand dropped it. I think it is only fair that I keep it considering the damn thing HURT me. Like a sort of battle trophy, yeah?" he began to laugh. The whole thing seemed so silly in retrospect. Then he remembered his hand again... "But my hand? It doesn't need amputated?" he asked again, a little more panicked this time. |
To Elijah Alyssa was glad that the Bowtruckles were finally gone. She had noticed that a Bowtruckle had dropped something shiny as it was leaving and was going to see what it was before Elijah went over and picked it up...and put it around his neck. "Uh....Elijah are you sure you want wear that? It looks pretty old and unless it's yours, I think that you should turn it in to Professor Elwood. You don't know where the Bowtruckles got it from. It could be bad mojo." Alyssa whispered to her fellow Hufflepuff. The locket did look old and the word Amarantha on it sounded familiar to her. She just couldn't place where she had seen it before. |
Wow Nigel thought. This had gotten really out of hand. Nigel did not know what to do before but was glad he dropped his sticks and went to the middle of the clearing like he was told, when everybody started helping. He tried to do his best to levitate some of the wood lice to help out Professor Williamson. And was successful. Once he finished levitate the lice and the bowtruckle went away. He wondered what kind of locket Lee was wearing and where he got it. He did not look like the kinda of person who would wear that type of jewelry. But Nigel did not really care about Lee's jewelry taste, he just wondered what else could go wrong with this lesson. |
erm...everyone but some of you get special mentions :3 Kurumi's eyes narrowed a bit more when Elijah was now shouting at HER. Kurumi's hand on her wand and was very VERY tempted to make him the first Hufflepuff of the term that she silenced. She had done it four times last term and was clearly falling behind in her schedule. At least Spike chimed in. And honestly, Elijah, your method of screaming wasn't helping either. So there. Kurumi's attention snapped back around, the glare still very much on her face and softened just a little when she saw that it was Professor And then her little Gryffindor heart skipped a beat when she saw who had arrived and Kurumi almost got sparkles in her eyes. PROFESSOR WIIIIIIIIIIILLIAMSON! If Kurumi were the sort to fangirl, she would have right now...and maybe even did so a little internally but the bowtruckle on her leg was proving to be a bit too much of a distraction to fully appreciate the man's heroic arrival. And this was also why she missed him tripping over Nessie but DID see him holding the fallen Hufflepuff - which made Kurumi feel immensely better because she had been worried about her friend. It seemed like the bowtruckles were slowly beginning to make their way back towards the forest now, which was good, but just getting them there and them actually finishing collecting sticks was an entirely different matter, wasn't it? Not that she would ask Professor Elwood this - the woman clearly didn't know anything. So, Kurumi instead kept her mouth shut, with LOTS of internal grumbling, and continued to levitate wood lice towards the forest until all the small creatures were gone. Once things had calmed down, Kurumi became a little more aware of everything that was going on - including the rather comedic exchange between Vickers and Elijah. Vickers earned a smile...while Elijah another rather pointed look. |
plus Alyssa and a bit of Kurumi Quote:
Really must he have to e.nun.ci.ate that? Smack in the middle of the entire class who are more than likely looking and listening to him because of that strange trinket hanging on his neck? Granted, in the ruckus Vickers missed the point deduction on Elijah but oh yeah he knows about it now. "Let me look at your hand then..." he said through gritted teeth as he grabbed the Curly!Puff's hand so tightly he was pretty sure whatever pain the other lad felt it just doubled. Amputate? Was that a wish? Because he would looooove to do the honors now. Pushing his glasses up annoyingly he peered down at the Hufflepuff's hand. He was right about the papercuts, but sheesh they were so tiny hardly any blood has broken the surface "Dont' worry you'll live.... once we attach a hook to the stump." he grumbled as he dropped the Hufflepuff's hand without much fanfare. Unbelievable. That was the obvious expression on Vickers' face once he heard Elijah explain about the locket. "So you just picked up some strange locket off the forest floor and wore it around your neck? You ever heard of cursed lockets mate?" he muttered then listened to Alyssa speak. Then caught Kurumi's smiling at him. He smiles back of course |
Edited slightly for my own time-sense-making-purposes SPOILER!!: Healer Vanderbilt Elijah couldn't help but feel as if Vickers was angry with him. He couldn't tell if it was the glaring, the speaking through gritted teeth or whether or not it was just a feeling or a vibe that Elijah was getting from him. "Hey, bud, are you angry at me or something?" he enquired, totally oblivious as he handed his arm over for inspection from the 'Claw, to which Vickers grabbed it a. Little. TOO. HAAAAARDDD. "OW!!!!" yep the 'Claw was mad at him. "VEE! BRO! NOT COOL!" He grabbed his arm back and caressed it, trying to put on a brave face and pretend the pain wasn't bothering him. Breaking down because of pain was an unattractive trait, afterall. But then Vickers said that thing about the stump... He didn't even react. He wasn't sure if the boy was being serious or not, but why on Earth would he JOKE about something like that!? His eyes started to get a little watery at the thought of losing his hand in replace of a HOOK! He all of a sudden felt extremely faint... SPOILER!!: GLARUMI That was when he noticed the Gryffindor Prefect looking over his way, glaring at him. She appeared to be angry at him too, it seemed, after their shouting match. FINE! Everyone just HATE on Elijah! Hmph. He didn't even give her a glare back. He was still too upset at the thought of having a STUMP for a hand. Hold. Back. The. Tears. SPOILER!!: Alyssa It was then that Alyssa appeared out of nowhere talking about his locket. "ARGHH! You SCARED me," Elijah was now most definitely convinced that the ENTIRE student body was out to get him. "YES, I AM sure I want to wear it, because it is MY locket," he said rather rudely to her. It wasn't necessarily Alyssa's fault. Vickers and Kurumi had set the ball rolling with his bad mood and Alyssa was just unfortunately in the crossfire. It was then that he noticed the inscribed word. "Hm...Ammmaaarrrantha," he spelled out. He realised people were looking, "Amarantha... after my Grandmother. It is my Grandmother's locket ya see... that was her name." Why were people so interested that he had found this STUPID locket anywayz? Finders keepers! SPOILER!!: Vee & Locket Despite the fact that what Vickers said did make sense, Elijah was now annoyed with HIM because HE had been the one that sentenced him to a stump for the rest of his life (he just hoped Healer Tilstorm could work miracles) PLUS Elijah didn't much appreciate the 'Claws STUPID mood with him. Then he noticed the exchange of smiles. Yep. RIGHT THERE. RIGGGGHT THERREE. Between Vee and Kurumi. They were smiling at each other. A lot of things seemed to be making sense. Vee must've been seeing Kurumi behind his back AND they were now both conspiring against him with this 'bad mood' act. It seemed so obvious now. Friends indeed. Well, that is what Elijah got for deciding to make friends this term. He made note that he would just continue as he had done before and be EXTREMELY attractive and good looking WITHOUT the company of people. People just got in the way. "I think it is up to me what I do with the locket *I* found. The chances it is cursed is very unlikely," he said, sounding slightly defeated, making sure to whisper so only Vickers would hear. The others could continue thinking it was an heirloom of sorts. |
SPOILER!!: Elijah Alyssa looked at Elijan suspiciously. She knew that the locket didn't belong to him but was not going to challenge him on that. She just hoped...for his sake...that it was just regular non-magical non-cursed locket. But somehow she had an uncomfortable eerie feeling that it wasn't. 'Where had that Bowtruckle picked it up from? It definitely wasn't from Elijah because he wasn't wearing it before.' Alyssa thought to herself. "Okay Elijah, it's yours. Please be careful okay. If you start feeling weird, get rid of it. There's been way too many weird things going on this term in school. I wouldn't want to see you in the hospital wing too."Alyssa told him still concerned that he was wearing that locket around his neck. But for now, she decided to concentrate on what both Professors wanted them to do next. Would they be able to resume Transfiguration class now that the Bowtruckles had disappeared. |
The Bowtruckles were finally leaving and she suffered only minor injuries, like the students and the poor Puff had fainted but was relatively ok, right? Callie looked at the students standing around her and was happy to see that everyone seemed to be accounted for aswell. "Everyone good job helping out, you all did wonderfully. Also let's all give a thanks to Professor Williamson and Mr. Murdoch for their help aswell." She clapped her hands for the kids and the two men before continuing. "Now that we have them here, were are going to continue collecting our sticks and if we have more 'visitors' we will be able to deal with them appropriately." So yeah, back to work everyone. "Oh and if you are injured Healer Tillstorm should be here soon." And with that their lesson could resume as if nothing had happened....wrong. She noticed that Mister Vanderbilt and Mr. Wilde were arguing about something, also bringing Miss Potter into things and getting glares and looks from other students aswell. Were these two going to keep interrupting her lesson? She eyed them for a moment and then picked up from the other students' raised voices that the Puff had decided to wear a locket he had found. That certainly wasn't smart so the blonde Professor stormed over to the trouble-maker. When she stopped infront of Elijah she reached out and ripped the locket from his neck, snapping the fragile, old chain. "Mr. Wilde, do you understand how incrediably stupid it is to put on an object you found in the middle of the forest? Does it make sense to you that a random locket you find in the forest would be safe to wear? It isn't!" Calista looked up from the boy, shaking her head incredulously, and gestured for the two other adults to join her with the others looking at the strange artifact. Hopefully the men were knowledgable of jewelry. "What could this mean? It says, 'Aramantha', do we have one of those here at Hogwarts? The thing looks pretty old." And it did. The gold was all tarnished and the chain was obviously frail OCC: So we are going to continue with the stick collecting. If you've already started, just continue from where you were, but try to have 3 posts in by tomorrow at 10pm EST. You may still interact with the Professors and locket lookers while you work. :D |
whaa *plays catch up* And this was the reason why he didn't teach. This was the reason! Kids were crazy. Screaming, FAINTING, and throwing off spells just over a few little Bowtruckles. Okay, so there were more than a few, but still. He wondered what they would have done if they were really in trouble. Shaking his head, just glad that none of those creatures had latched onto him, they were painful little things, Waylon handed over the open bucket of wood lice to Vickers and immediately popped open the lid to the other. He had absolutely no idea what he was supposed to do now, but thankfully, William came when he did and.. he even managed to pick up the fainted girl. Unless the girl was just playing dead, but surely she knew that that was not the way to get those critters to leave you alone. But back to those critters. Those same critters who just went back into the forest once everyone began working together and feeding them. Huh. That was easy and Waylon GRINNED as he realized he was the reason for them leaving. Also the reason why they were there, but he wasn't going to say that. SPOILER!!: Callie! And just when he thought he could leave, he caught sight of Callie RIPPING a chain off that boy with the nice hair's neck and gesturing him over towards them. And not one to pass up the opportunity of being nosy, Waylon placed his now empty bucket onto the ground and moved closer to the group. He must have missed something. He was slow like that sometimes. "It could mean that, whoever this Aramantha person is, is now missing their locket." he shrugged his shoulders. He had no idea if there was one of those in Hogwarts. The Professors would know more than him.. |
Willy & Elijah special mentions :3 Kurumi knelt down to inspect her leg for a moment. It didn't look too bad, no blood or anything, it was more like how her leg look when Walnut got a little too playful and decided to attack her leg. So, nothing to worry about...and no need to see the Healer when she did show up...Nope. Now that all the bowtruckles were gone, Kurumi breathed a sigh of relief and pocketed her wand. Yeah, way to go Professor Elwood. Now Nessie had fainted and -- NESSIE! Concern written all over her face, Kurumi cautiously approached Professor Williamson and And then Professor Elwood told them to go back to taking twigs and branches from the trees and Kurumi swallowed a bit nervously. Was that really such a good idea NOW? Shouldn't they give the bowtruckles time to readjust after the shock they had all just experienced? Then again, they did have more EXPERIENCED and KNOWLEDGEABLE people around. So, eyes back on her parchment, Kurumi approached a nearby tree and checked the label. Poplar. Right, she hadn't collected that one yet so she gently snapped a branch off the tree and then made her way to the tins in the front with the three delicate woods Professor Elwood had described. With those four in hand, Kurumi added them to her pile and then made her way towards the next set of trees. Which just so happened to be adjacent to where Elijah and Vickers were standing. Groaning softly to herself, Kurumi knew that perhaps she had been a bit...rash... and her conscious was telling her she ought to apologize. Sigh. After snapping off branches from an Alder and Willow tree, Kurumi somewhat reluctantly approached the two boys. "Hey, Elijah...I'm....I'm sorry for snapping at you earlier..." she said, biting her lip. She just had a sore spot for creatures and had found his behavior completely offensive. And no, Kurumi did not notice the locket nor hear any of the conversation that had been going on about it. She had been a little preoccupied with the bowtruckle on her leg. |
When things seemed to have calmed down, Ella turned her attention to Professor Elwood who apparently decided to take charge again. As the professor then instructed the class to thank Professor Williamson and Mr. Murdoch for their help, Ella joined in on the clapping, hers being a little louder than she had intended. What?! She was a fan of the men is all...No big deal or anything. Nope. Oh! And now they were meant to continue on gathering the sticks? Well Ella could do that, though she'd only be taking sticks already on the ground. She didn't want to anger the Bowtruckles As the small blonde approached the willow tree she had been standing at originally, she over heard Professor Elwood scolding one of the students for wearing a necklace he found in the forest. Wait! HE? Ella turned to look, eyebrows raised. Boys weren't meant to wear lockets! Smirkkk. Though it wasn't all that surprising that the FABIO wannabe had been wearing one. He was probably going to pass it off as a gift he had bought for one of the many girlfriends he claimed to have. EYE ROLL. Boys were SO weird. Bending down, the second year began looking for a good willow branch to collect. She found a rather nice looking one just to the right of where she was standing, not too big or too small. Looking around her to ensure no bowtruckles were around to attack, Ella picked it up off the ground and looked around for the next type of tree. |

She decided she would get Vine,Ivy, and Reed next seeing as they were already cut. Walking over to where they were she picked up one of each. She gently placed them in her bag with the other woods. One thing was for sure she would need to wash her bag when they were done with the lesson. Seeing an Ash tree she walked over and found a branch that could be easily torn off. It would be akward tearing it off with her left hand but it would have to do. Succsefully tearing it off she did the same with the Oak and Holly trees which were close to the Ash trees. SPOILER!!: Woods Collected SPOILER!!: Parchment |
*eyes you all* *whaa* Right now being unconscious could have been way better than standing up and dealing with those bowtruckles It took her quite a while and she had even managed to miss all the bowtruckle commotion, but soon her senses started coming back to her. At first she could hear what was going on, and when she heard Kurumi talking she felt a little calmer as to what was going on. A few more seconds after that, she could begin to feel where she was and now she knew that she was up in somebody's arms, just not who's exactly. Then lastly her eye sight started coming back it was a little fuzzy at first, but after some blinking she could see properly. What she first saw...was well another big shock to her. O___O Professor Wiliamson? He was carrying her??!! This all had to be a dream. Nessie pinched herself only to find that it was not. Oh Merlin! She was in he's hands for real!! This was even more of a shock than the bowtruckles had been, and seeing as she couldn't manage with them, she couldn't manage with this. Within in less than a second, the fourth year's eyes shut again and she fell back into unconsciousness. |
As soon as the Professor said they could continue collecting their sticks, Jory continued. He found the fir tree and snapped off a twig. The Elder tree was next and he had no trouble getting one of those twigs. But the blackthorn was a bit harder and the had to really stretch as the twigs were a bit higher. The reed and Ivy trees were fairly close to each other and the Puff got those twigs with no problem. With all the students around, he had to search for the Vine tree but when he did find it, he snapped off another twig. Next, he got the Apple and Hazel twigs. Once in a while Jory checked the surrounds and the trees for any more lurking Bowtruckles. |
baaaahahahahaha. everyone. no quotes. Arms still full of Puff as they were, Willy tried to focus on the various people talking at him and stuff. First, he grinned at Waylon, just 'cos he was his friend and LOOK, they were bein' cool and hanging out with Callie and bowtruckles. That was cool, right? Then they were getting applauded, which was even cooler, and Kurumi was coming over to peek in on the little girl William had picked up. He shrugged in response to her question, nearly dropping the Hufflepuff. "Er, probably? I'm... no Healer, obviously, but it just looks like she fainted." He just happened to look down at Nessie at the exact moment that the girl re-fainted but, not knowing that was the case, nudged his head toward her. "Look, Kurumi, I think her eyes are fluttering!" That was good, yeah? Was Cece going to show up down here anytime soon?!! William's concerns for the fainted!Puff were quickly brushed aside as he heard a small confrontation between the Divination professor and THAT KID. Elijah. Eyes narrowing, Willy watched as the blonde snatched something shiny off his neck and then stomped back over to him and Waylon. "Huh," he mused aloud, leaning in toward the locket as best as he could. "That name sounds familiar, though I can't place it. Maybe you should pop it open?" Or would that upset the Bowtruckles?? "It's funny," William chuckled to himself, struck by a sudden thought, "it was like this time last year when I got attacked by bowtruckles during a lesson too! I thought one was my wand and I picked it up and then this HUGE Blast-Ended Skrewt popped up and..." he trailed off and shook his head, "it was a disaster. At least your lesson is going better than that, Callie." Kids were still picking up sticks and all. |
Mr. Murdoch, Prof. Williamson, and any nosey or close by students *whistles* Still fuming a tad from the sheer idiocy that had been Elijah wearing a strange locket found in the Forbidden Forest, Calista hadn't found Waylon's joke about whoever Aramantha was, missing her locket very funny. She did however flash him a look that softened after a second. She wasn't mad at him, or really any of them, she was just glad everyone was safe. She would need to talk to Medea and hopefully become more prepared next time before entering the forest. But all worries aside, Professor Elwood turned the golden necklace over in her hand and then faced William Professor Elwood was good and ready to put the thing in one of her pockets and get back to helping her students gather sticks for their Ogham Stave readings when her friend suggested opening the thing. Well...that was actually a good idea. Lockets often had things inside, so why not? As she looked for a latch she listened to Williamson as he mentioned the creature chaos he had experienced last term and was glad she hadn't been there although it did sound eerily similar. But oooh! The locket popped open and reveled it's contents. "Woah, she's pretty isn't she?" she said showing the picture of the girl in the photograph to her collegues. Others in the area would have seen it too, and could have easily heard the conversation going on by now. The face seemed familiar, as if Callie had seen the girl not too long ago...but that was impossible. The date. "That date says 1753 but I'm certain I've seen this girl, I didn't know her name though." Was she going crazy? Callie was getting really confused now and wished she was one of the students just getting to pick sticks up off the ground. |
*waves at Vickers too* Glancing at Nessie again, Kurumi frowned slightly in concern when Professor Williamson spoke. Her hero was sort of being a let down at the moment...but then he mentioned the Hufflepuff's eyes fluttering and that caught her attention. "R-Really?!" she squeaked, bending down slightly to look a little closer at Nessie. And then the man was going on about the bowtruckle that had shown up in his lesson last year. Yeah, but HE had been more prepared that Professor Elwood who probably would have lead them into a dragon's den and not known it until they were all BBQ-ed. Snapping off another branch, Ash this time, Kurumi's head snapped around when SHE spoke again and was...holding a locket? Honestly, this woman was INSANE. Kurumi was just about to ignore this all completely when she mentioned a date. Woah...wait a second, why did that sound familiar? Scratching her head with her ash stick, Kurumi tried to think about why that year rang a bell...and then it hit her. The little research session that Professor Scabior had had in the library. "1753?" Kurumi repeated, doubling back for a moment and EYEING Professor Elwood for just a moment. "That's the year that the student roll was missing..." Kurumi looked over at Vickers for a moment because he was closest to her at the moment. As for the girl in the picture, Kurumi hadn't been able to get a decent look since she had been more focused on Nessie. But she thought that she had seen her somewhere outside of the school... |
