December has reached Hogwarts Castle and it's grounds in full force and in many places behind the stone walls, the cold seeps in like a ghost in the night but not the Divination Tower. Despite the hieght and tower windows, the Divination classroom and office have not been warmer. Professor Elwood's window coverings matched with the roaring fires in the grates have kept the place at a stuffy yet comfortable temperature for learning.
When you enter the classroom you will find Professor Elwood sitting at her desk waiting for the kids to enter. You may notice that on the wooden desk before the blonde Professor there is a bowl of stones, both mundane and semi-precious, glittering in the candle light.
Please take a seat and wait for the lesson to begin.

Looking down at her stones once again, Sierra realized that she should really start her reading. She softly sighed to herself. It seemed like a lot of work, but...ohh, well. It wasn't like she had a choice here. So how was this done again? Just listing the weeks, combining those sharing a stone, and then interpret based on what the stone meant? It sounded easy enough, even though it sounded like a lot of work.
No sense in holding off. She didn't know how long this would take, and who knew when the activity would end...
Week 1:
The stone present in this section is the Saturn stone. This stone stands for longevity, protection, and purification. It's not exactly pointing to anything. If anything, it just looks like a blob. So I don't think it really leads to anything but more or less stresses that in the weeks to come, I'll be protected from any dangers or possible threats. I think it also means that things will clear to me, and there won't be any struggles for quite a while.
Week 2:
The stone present in this section is the Venus stone. This stone stands for love, fidelity, and happiness. The strange thing is that this is a pointer, yet it doesn't really seem to be pointing to anything. Maybe the fire or sun stone, but I'll get into that later. Anyway, maybe this means that all will be right and happy with those that I love. This would be my family, of course. I don't think I've grown to love anyone else yet. I also think we'll be happy in whatever our life path leads us to.
Week 3:
The stone present in this section is the Universe stone. This stone stands for our place in the grand scheme of things, on a cosmic level. What's a cosmic level anyway? I'm not sure, but either way, I at least know what it means to find your place in the grand scheme of things. This stone is also a pointer, and it's pointing back up to the last section, which was Venus. I think what it's trying to tell me is that through love and happiness, I'll find my place in the grand scheme of things. Maybe through the love and support of my family.
Week 4:
There's no stone present in this section. I guess it'll just be a low-key week where I can maybe reflect on the last few weeks or look ahead to what might come.
Week 5:
The stones present in this section are the Air stone and Earth stone. The Air stone stands for wishes, hopes, dreams, and inspiration. The Earth stone stands for security of home, family, and friends. An important thing to look at here is that both stones are pointers and are pointing toward one another. I think, again, that this all goes back to the fact that a lot of my stone readings are pointing out the fact that I can succeed with the love and support of my family. I think this section is telling me that by surrounding myself with those I love, I can fulfill all the goals I've set my mind to.
Week 6:
The stone present in this section is the Fire stone. This stone stands for passion, willpower, and outside influences. This isn't a pointer stone, but earlier, I mentioned that the Venus stone may be pointing toward it. Venus stands for stands for love, fidelity, and happiness. If the stones are pointing toward one another, it could mean that relationships with others, I will go further in my goals and endeavors, and that through their support, I will succeed. This seems to be a common theme in my reading, actually. Otherwide, if they aren't pointing together, I think it's just a reminder that through dedication and determination, I will succeed.

Okay, so the stones were thrown and her inner eye was working so now what? ...She had to like-read them now, yeah? Well this would definitely be interesting. Ella had never done any kind of reading before so she was a little apprehensive about the whole thing. Knowing it would probably take a while to complete, the second year pulled her notes towards her and did her best to interpret what the locations the stones had fallen in meant.
SPOILER!!: Ella's Work
Quote:
1. The Sun - power, energy and life
2. The Moon - inspiration, psychic ability and intuition
3. Saturn - longevity, protection, purification
4. Venus - love, fidelity, happiness
5. Mercury - intelligence, self-improvement, overcoming bad habits
6. Mars - courage, defensive magic, battle, conflict
7. Jupiter - money, justice, prosperity
8. Earth - security of home, family and friends
9. Air - Wishes, hopes, dreams and inspiration
10. Fire - Passion, willpower, outside influences
11. Water - Compassion, reconciliation, healing and cleansing
12. Spirit - Needs of the self, communication with the Divine
13. The Universe - our place in the grand scheme of things, on a cosmic level
Week One: Week one seems pretty uneventful. No major changes will take place because no stones were present in this section.
Week Two and Three: Venus appears during the start of week two suggesting love and happiness at that time. Then towards the middle of the week and into week three, Jupiter and the Sun show up. Perhaps I will come into some money and feel happy about having the power that comes with more wealth.
Week Four: Fire appears in week four, showcasing passion and willpower. Perhaps I will be fighting for a cause during this time.
Week Five: Mercury and Spirit wind up in the week five slot. I will most likely be taking some me time to work on my studies.
Week Six: Earth shows up towards the end of week six. Maybe I'll be thinking about or spending more time with loved ones.
Week Seven: The Moon stone shows up in week seven. Perhaps I'll be more inspired to use my psychic abilities at this time? Maybe complete some Divination class work?
Week Eight: In week eight the universe stone is found. Maybe I'll feel quite small this week.
Week Nine: Air shows up at the beginning of week nine, meaning maybe I'll be inspired or wishing to be inspired. Water shows up later that week too. Perhaps I'll be inspired to reconcile with a friend?
Week Ten and Eleven: At the end of week ten and into the beginning of week eleven Mars appears. Perhaps I'll be using or doing more studying of defensive magic at this time.
Week Twelve: Saturn appears in week twelve, maybe it means I'm protected because I have done some defensive work in previous weeks.
Ella honestly wasn't sure about her interpretations but she had done the best she could. Hopefully she wasn't too far off.

SPOILER!!: Kurumi, Professor and Louisa

Again, Kurumi could hardly contain a snort and instead played it off as if she had been coughing. Nothing to see here...But, seriously. How did you not thing of anything? Telling someone to think of nothing was like telling someone not to think about pink polka dotted dragons. You just did! Kurumi dismissed the Inner Eye bit. Yeah, no Inner Eye here so Kurumi wouldn't be accessing the beyond.
First, Kurumi picked up each of her stone individually, as they had been told to do sort of, and familiarized herself with them. Which, erm, was mostly her just looking at the colors and the way the light reflected off some of them, before she set them all down on the table once more. Kurumi rummaged through her bag for something that she could use for her string and found a shoelace that she had been using to play with Walnut earlier. That should work, yes? Setting it on the table, and over a piece of parchment where she had drawn the corresponding lines to make up the quadrants and all that, she made a circle with it and then scooped all her stone up in her hands. She began to shake them gently, mixing up the various stones, and then released her hands to drop them on to the table.
SPOILER!!: Kurumi's tabletop
Leaning back in her seat a bit so she could get a better view of the whole spread, Kurumi noted that nothing had fallen in week one, so that meant nothing should happen. Which...made no sense because things were always happening. Again, Divination....guesswork...how was is possible to have nothing happen in a week's time? Whatever.
Kurumi's gaze was about to move on to the second week to make a brief analysis when the Gryffindor suddenly froze and her eyes became vacant of any expression. Her hands were on either side of the circular spread on her table, but were frozen in place. She didn't hear anything and if someone were to come up and poke or shake her she wouldn't feel that either. So, there the Gryffindor sat, her head hanging downwards slightly at the stones on the table, frozen in time.

As the blonde was passing over a small section of the desks she couldn't help but notice Kurumi seemed to have taken a deep interest in her stones as they fell to her desk.
Callie was happy that the Prefect had become so engrossed in Lithomancy after the girl's beliefs laid out in her previous homework. But--
.....
She wasn't moving.
Professor Elwood knew that look. Was it possible?!
"Kurumi dear? Miss Hollingberry?" The woman tried to get the Gryffindor's attention but she didn't look up.
IT WAS HAPPENING!!!
"Kurumi you've done it! You've accessed your Inner Eye and are IN THE BEYOND!!" Calista exclaimed excitedly and clapped her hands eagerly.
Oh she was so proud!
OCC: Keep up the good work everyone, you will have until Sunday 3:00 pm (EST) to get this done.

The Ravenclaw watched the professor throw the stones and followed very intently the explanation that followed. The way she interpreted the correlation between the stones' spots and life. It was amusing. Louisa didn't believe in that fully but she wanted to try and see if it worked. None of the other methods of Divination worked before but... who knows.
She unhooked her pouch, put the stones on her lap before stretching the cloth on the desk before her. Gathering the stones in both of her hands she threw them on the desk, trying to make them scatter as much as possible and they did...

Week #1: Venus & the Sun(Venus is a pointer toward the sun)
With Venus, which means happiness most probably out of its indications, pointing at the sun and making a cluster with it; it could mean that my week will be full of... great happiness. Maybe something will either happen or turn out quite satisfactory to me.
Week #2: the Sun
The stone is the sun which indicates power, life and energy. This could mean that maybe a new life will be... coming into mine. Maybe a new pet. Or plant.
Week #3: Saturn
It stands on week three on its own which means longevity, protection, or purification. That could mean maybe I'll be protected from something really bad could've happened. Or maybe get rid of some negative energy (purification?) such as anger toward something or frustration.
Week #4: Saturn & the Moon
It's a cluster of Saturn and Moon stones. The moon could be a pointer toward Saturn too, which could indicate the rising of something I've always had a hunch about coming or showing or happening. Like one of my articles getting FINALLY published somewhere.
[I]week #5[/U]: the Moon
My intuition could be really strong that week, probably due to the only stone on it which's the moon. It indicates psychic ability and inspiration as well so that could be promising me to have more inspiration in my homework and writings hopefully...
Week #6: the Earth & the Spirit
The earth stone is forming a cluster with the spirit one and is considered a pointer! That very well indicates that my friends (spirit stone indication) will be very needed during that week. Or that I need to communicate with my family more.
Week #7: the Spirit & the Fire
The spirit stone and the fire one are very close together. That week could be one that I'll express my self needs in a rather blunt and selfish way. Since Fire indicates without influence and Spirit is about one's needs.
Week #8: the Spirit & the Fire & Mars
It could indicate tens of things considering the three stones but I would go with: something could make me initiate (Fire) a conflict (Mars) with something/someone really significant (Spirit).
Week #9: Mars
A week of conflicts, apparently. And everything Mars indicates to tells me it's not the happiest week of the month.
Week #10: Water
Welp. That'd be a really logical stone to fall into this week's spot since after the week of conflicts, a week of reconciliation should be due. And that is what Water stone tells me.
Week #11: Jupiter & the Universe
I wouldn't call this a cluster really... but it could be. So it's mainly about prosperity in general; maybe winning something, or 'inheriting' something from someone. Orrr it could be justice. That week would be justice-wise prospering!
Week #12: Air & the Universe
It's a cluster of the air stone and the universe one. It indicates to wishes, dreams, and hopes. Maybe the universe - or nature perhaps would help me take another step forward in my life. Somehow.
Just as the Prefect put her quill down and was about to re-analyze her analysis, professor Elwood screamed something about Kurumi finding her Inner Eye.
....huh?
Curiously Louisa left her desk and moved slowly toward the Gryffindor and the professor. She wanted to see how exactly one would find their Inner Eye, and why was it Kurumi the girl who already had her outer eyes confused COUGHaboutboysCOUGH?
But the girl was... not moving. And her eyes were staring blindly at the desk. Louisa frowned and asked the overly excited blonde woman, "Err... Is it normal that she freezes like that?" Just to check, Louisa poked the girl gently on the shoulder.
If she fell... it meant something WRONG happened. If she snapped awake with some voodoo talk, it'd be her Inner Eye alright.
Gideon took out a clear piece of parchment and began drawing out the circle that was to represent the field for him to drop the stones of his set within. It took a bit of time and effort to do his best on making the circle as close to circular as he could get it and not look messy. The cross pieces were easier...first the main ones and then the secondary ones and finally he had the circle made and divided into twelve mostly equal parts.
SPOILER!!: Circle
Guessing now that he was done with the one part, he should actually throw the stones to cast them and see what came up. The prefect scooped them up into his one hand and shook them up a little to try and mix things up a bit then taking a deep breath he let them go over the parchment circle most of them landing within but a couple seemed to have missed the outline. Oh well...didn't seem to bad for his first try. Gideon briefly glanced between his list of stones and his cast ones but his attention was then turned elsewhere.
SPOILER!!: Cast Stones
He looked over as Professor Elwood exclaimed drawing attention to Kurumi. Except the woman apparently believed his fellow prefect was having a divination experience which Gideon wasn't so sure thats what it was. Selina was the seer...not Kurumi and he had even witnessed one of her own experiences.
Not to mention Kurumi had been acting weird at times throughtout the term, blanking out at times much like this one. "Um...professor. Not that I doubt its possible." Having seen it. " But I'm not sure thats what it is..." Gideon spoke up getting hesitantly to his feet and debating moving closer to his friend. Hopefully the professor wouldn't think he was simply an unbeliever be a bit more open minded that it might be something else. At least the Ravenclaw prefect Louisa seemed to be unsure of things as well.

"Good job everyone. I am happy to see that you all have taken the time to pick out what stones spoke to you and many of you contemplated the meanings of each one and tried to match it with stones of corresponding character." Or just because they were pretty, that was a type of connection. heh. "If you haven't already, take the time to familiarize yourself with your stones by touching and playing around with them, while I take a mintue to set up the next demonstration."
Calista smiled at them all, taking note of the sparking stones on their desks, and turned to her own desk. She untied the bag and used the long string of brown twine to make a circle reading feild on the surface of her desk. She then poured her stones into her hands and felt their cool surfaces for a few minutes trying to clear her head. "Alright everyone, if you'd look up here I am going to do a reading of my own for you all to see what it is we do for this before setting you loose on your own."
Professor Elwood closed her eyes again. "You'll want to clear your mind before casting, try to think of nothing or at least try to access the beyond or your Inner Eye." Yeah easy enough. The blonde then dropped her stones into the circle with some noise seeing as it was a wooden desk and then she looked at their positions.
Quickly before doing anything else she grabbed her wand and made a swooshing motion over the reading and then pointed it at the board. A diagram of her reading feild appeared on it so they could better see.
"Now you can see how when the stones dropped they spread out for the most part with a few small clusters here and there? You want to try and drop them effectively but don't do them too hard or too gently because you will tamper with your results." They didn't want a botched future reading did they?
Grabbing a piece of chalk in her hand, Professor Elwood then began to write quickly on the board, her thoughts on her reading, and after a few minutes turned around so that they could see her notes.
SPOILER!!: Professor Elwood's Notes and Reading
Week One: The two stones present in this section are the Sun and Saturn ones. The stone alone stands for power, energy, and life while the Saturn stone stands for longevity and protection and physical ability. With the Saturn stone being a pointer, connecting with Sun in their two-stone cluster this could mean that possibly I have someone prepared to protect me against a strong energy but nothing life threatening.
Week Two/Three: Weeks two will start off calmly without much of anything happen and the end of week three will be the same. In the middle though, starting around day 6 of week two I will experience some sort of personal healing and compassion for others, possibly reconciling with a lost friend or loved one.
Week Four: The moon stone is present this week which means my inspiration, psychic ability and intuition will kick in at its highest. This week will be ideal for me to do other Divination readings and get ahead on my studies on the subject. My connection to the Beyond will most likely be strongest. The moon stone is also a pointer connecting towards Mercury in week five.
Week Five: Mercury is the only stone in this section but the Moon stone from the previous week is pointing directly at it. The Mercury stone represents intelligence, self-improvement, overcoming bad habits so a strong possibility stand in week five that because of my increased ability in Divination and physic ability in week four I will become more intelligent and improved in my readings.
Week Six: This week finds a cluster of two stones, Mars and Fire. Mars represents courage, defensive magic, battle, and conflict whereas Fire represents Passion, willpower, and outside influences. I may face an actual confrontation during this week where magic is required (which is always a possibility with the Mars stone but it is most likely going to be courage and willpower to overcome a fear of mine. But keep eyes peeled for confrontation.
Week Seven: The Universe stone has made its appearance during this week which means I will have an opportunity to just step back and see where I fit into the grand scheme of things. This could be because I am preparing your final exams (in April/May) and realize that I just finished my first year of teaching.
Week Eight: Jupiter is present in this section which is always a good stone to see because it represents money, justice, and prosperity. This week I may be getting paid my galleons for the term or perhaps Gringott’s will make a mistake and put too much gold in my vault.
Week Nine: This week I have the Air stone which represents wishes, hopes, dreams and inspiration which would come in handy for my first week of June. Final exams will be about over and I will be planning my summer, perhaps I will be hit with a sudden desire to travel.
Week Ten: In Week ten the Spirit stone shows up which means needs of the self and communication with the Divine. This is pretty spot on seeing as my parents passed away in the summer and I usually take time around this week to go back to my hometown and just remember them and such.
Week Eleven: Earth and Venus are both in this section—the sister planets. That is fitting because Earth’s stone represents security of home, family and friends which means hopefully I may run into some cousins or reunite with some old friends from either here at Hogwarts or from my days before teaching. Venus represents love, fidelity, and happiness but if you notice, it too is a pointer stone which points towards the Jupiter stone in section eight. Maybe I will discover the money that was given to me and be very happy or receive some sort of justice for a wrong done to me.
Week Twelve: No stones landed in this section so it should be a very quiet week.
"This is what I want you do now. Cast your stones into a feild made by the string that is holding your bag shut or use one of the ones over there on the table if you didn't take one of my bags and then write down your notes for each week to the best of your abilities. I look forward to seeing what your future's have in store for each of you guys." Callie eagerly wrung her hands together and watched them.
OCC: Alright so ideally I would like a picture like I have done (it doesn't have to be perfect. You can use paint, Photoshop, etc. or edit in your stone graphics from before). And your notes for each week don't have to be quite as detailed as mine but I would like your best effort. Your reading should include at least one cluster and one pointer stone. Good luck! I shall be keeping this portion of the lesson open for at least 2 days. Feel free to ask questions or VM/PM me for help. Points will be awarded so no worries on that.
Zhenya spent a few minutes spreading her stones on the table and 'getting to know them', although she had no idea what to do. She looked at them and thought that they were pretty, but that didn't mean much, did it? She made up a board for herself to use, and divided it into 12. She watched in amazement as the Professor layed her stones on her board and knew what they meant. How did that happen? Zhenya raised an eyebrow and rolled her stones onto her circle board to see what would happen.
SPOILER!!: Table
She didn't know what it all meant, so following the example from the board she wrote down where her stones were and decided to go from there. She was confused because most of her stones decided to land in the divides of the weeks.
Quote:
Week One: Starts with Jupiter, ends with Universe Week Two: Starts with Universe, ends with Moon Week Three: Starts with Moon, ends in Earth Week Four: Starts with Earth, followed by Mars Week Five: Venus Week Six: Fire Week Seven: Saturn and Air Week Eight: Starts with Saturn and Air Week Nine: Mercury Week Ten: Spirit Week Eleven: Sun and Water Week Twelve: Starts with Sun and Water, ends with Jupiter
She shook her head, not knowing what it all meant...

Kurumi's vacant eyes continued to stare at the rocks on the table. It really didn't matter where Kurumi was looking to be entirely honest. She could have been looking up at the ceiling or straight into someone's eyes, the look would have been the same. Empty. Kurumi didn't even hear Professor Elwood's announcement of her being in the beyond. She wasn't really anywhere, besides physically being in her seat, so one could almost argue that she was beyond The Beyond. Kurumi's body may have mood slightly at Louisa's touch, but that was not of the Gryffindor's own doing but rather the force of the poke.
Staying this way for several more uncomfortable moments - at least to those observing her - it was almost uncertain as to whether or not Kurumi was actually breathing. She was just THAT frozen.
Kurumi blinked suddenly, but showed no sign of feeling uncomfortable. In fact, Kurumi simply looked at her stones, blinking a few more times, and then picked up her quill to begin writing down her analysis of her spread.

Interpretation
Week One : Since there are no stones in this section which means that there will be no sudden or drastic changes. The path I am currently on will continue on its way without any sort of interruption.
Week Two : This week introduces ruby, the stone I selected to represent Mars. Mars making an appearance implies that this week will be one of conflict. Perhaps some of my relationships will be tested or I will have to battle with some inner turmoil. Mars also suggests courage and defensive magic, which means that I should prepare myself for conflict and not panic.
Week Three : After the conflict presented in week two, it interesting to see that the stone that comes next is the one representing the Universe. The Universe represents our place in the grand scheme of things, on a cosmic level, so perhaps what this means is that I overcame the conflict and it helped me find my place. Whether this is on a a smaller level in terms of own own personal cosmic level or on a larger scale it unknown.
Week Four : With the introduction of the Fire stone - representing passion, willpower, outside influences - it makes me think that perhaps what happened in week three was more of a transition period into this week. My journey towards self discovery or whatnot began, but this week it comes to a peak due to outside influences that increase my willpower to find the answers as well as my passion towards...life?
Kurumi decided that she needed a small break before moving on to Week Five, which had two stones and therefore would require a bit more guess work thinking. It was not that she realized that...there were people...around her....watching her. Um.....awkward.
"Is there something wrong?" she asked innocently. Professor Elwood looked as though she were about to burst and, well, Louisa and Gideon were looking like they had just seen someone kick a cruppy or something of that sort.

Nigel had all of his stones ready and just dropped them on his chart or wheel thingy.
SPOILER!!: Horrible Tabletop
He liked that none of the stones got on the lines. He was also surprised that he got his Air Stone in the first week. So that must mean that something was going to happen this week that had to do with wishes, hopes, dreams and inspirations. But he did not know what because he did not really wish for anything yet.
But Nigel really liked what was going to happen in week two. He had Jupiter which represents money, justice, and prosperity. He also had Water that represented personal healing and compassion. So he was going to get money and feel happy and compassionate . Nigel really liked get money. Nigel had know idea what to do with the pointer stone that he threw so he just left it where it was.
Professor Elwood stopped at the young Ravenclaw's desk after seeing that he had so wonderfully casted his stones into his reading field and watched as he looked at them carefully.
"Now don't forget to write out your interpretations for each week the best you can. I know you can do this." She gave him a reassuring nod and smile before moving on.

SPOILER!!: Alyssa's Circle of 13
Next thing she had to do was figure out what the formation and clusters of stones and where the pointers pointed to represented. Alyssa pulled over her notes and reviewed the meaning of what each stone represented.

2. The Moon - inspiration, psychic ability and intuition

Alyssa rubbed her head. She was starting to get a headache again. This wasn't going to be easy like she thought the practical would be, but Alyssa decided that she would at least try her best. 'Hey if I was meant to really know all this, I wouldn't be in this class right now.' Alyssa thought to herself.
"Dear are you alright?"
Professor Elwood approached Alyssa's desk after the girl had cast her stones and hoped she was ok and able to continue with her reading. "The lesson won't last much longer, you can just go ahead and work on your individual week interpretations and then we will be finished and you can go see the Healer if you'd like." She didn't want the girl to feel bad.

"Excellent work Miss Greingoth! Those interpretations are quite interesting. You will have to keep checking to see how accurate they turn out to be." The blonde smiled at the Slytherin Prefect before moving on to other kids.

Knowing it would probably take a while to complete, the second year pulled her notes towards her and did her best to interpret what the locations the stones had fallen in meant.
Ella honestly wasn't sure about her interpretations but she had done the best she could. Hopefully she wasn't too far off.
Professor Elwood made her way over to the young Hufflepuff's desk who she had taken notice of earlier in the lesson, giving everything her best effort.
"Good job Miss Bishop. You should be proud of your work." The blonde tapped her paper with her finger and grinned before moving on.

She shook her head, not knowing what it all meant...
Calista continued her rounds around the students' desk and stopped beside a Slytherin girl's who seemed to be having a little bit of trouble.
"Are you stuck? Well you've casted your stones correctly and I see you've listed which of them landed in which section on you parchment. That's a good start, now all you need to do to finish is just write out your interpretations of that week based on the things those stones represent and what situations you might encounter." She nodded her encouragement and smiled smally. The girl was smart, Professor Elwood had faith in her.

Before the male Gryffindor Prefect had risen from his seat to approach the Professor and Kurumi, Callie had stopped at his desk and looked over his shoulder at his lithomancy reading progress.
"Dear, what happened to the other 4 of your stones? Did they fall off the desk?" She ducked down to check the floor but didn't see them. Perhaps they were still in his bag. "You'll need to find those or else your reading will not be correct and you will miss some things in your next 12 weeks." And that wouldn't be good at all; forget points, you didn't want to mess up the guide that tells you what might happen soon!
After finishing helping some nearby students, Professor Elwood turned back to the happy event taking place, Kurumi accessing her true potential as a Seer! In Callie's very own Divination class!
SPOILER!!: Gideon, Louisa, and Kurumi

Not to mention Kurumi had been acting weird at times throughtout the term, blanking out at times much like this one. "Um...professor. Not that I doubt its possible." Having seen it. " But I'm not sure thats what it is..." Gideon spoke up getting hesitantly to his feet and debating moving closer to his friend. Hopefully the professor wouldn't think he was simply an unbeliever be a bit more open minded that it might be something else. At least the Ravenclaw prefect Louisa seemed to be unsure of things as well.

Moving on..

3. Saturn - longevity, protection, purification
4. Venus - love, fidelity, happiness
5. Mercury - intelligence, self-improvement, overcoming bad habits
6. Mars - courage, defensive magic, battle, conflict
7. Jupiter - money, justice, prosperity
8. Earth - security of home, family and friends
9. Air - Wishes, hopes, dreams and inspiration

11. Water - Compassion, reconciliation, healing and cleansing
12. Spirit - Needs of the self, communication with the Divine
13. The Universe - our place in the grand scheme of things, on a cosmic level

The Universe - our place in the grand scheme of things, on a cosmic level
"Is it normal to freeze?" Did she seriously just ask her that? Calista Elwood was a Seer herself and she would know if these things were supposed to happen or not!
.....
Shoot. "Well, technically visions are not always performed by Seers in a uniform way but this may be her own way. We just need to see if she begins to project her Sight vocally to us." Calista looked at Kurumi expectantly, waiting for something, anything to come from the girl.
Nothing.
Before she could do anything the Ravenclaw Prefect poked the entranced girl and the Gryffindor male prefect joined them, doubting too, that Miss Hollingberry was a proper Seer. Like he would know, Professor Elwood was teaching the blasted subject.
But before she could say anything else, Kurumi unfroze and continued to work as if nothing had happened and then looked at them to ask if something was wrong.
O___________o
"Dear, are you alright?" She asked the girl, still secretly hoping what had just happened was indeed a vision. "Oh, nevermind. It's nothing. Miss Carter and Mister Gert back to your desks to finish your work or to wait for me to check it." She didn't need another fiasco in this lesson which seemed to happen alot at Hogwarts.
She might have to bring up what had just happened though with another Professor. Callie just didn't like that it sort of reminded her of when Max had fallen from his broom during that last Quidditch match.
Toothless - Napoleon of Crime - Gryffinclaw - Owl Emissary - Pirate Auror - DoctorDonna
It seemed that his missing stones...four to be exact as the professor pointed out, were more important then he had himself made it out to be. The woman herself looking for them as if they had simply vanished. "Sorry Professor...nae they didn't," Gideon replied opening his hand to reveal them. "They had landed outside the circle so I just cleared them off the desk." A simple enough explanation and one that was entirely true.
With their attentions then both on Kurumi, Gideon waited on the next move, taking a few short steps closer to his fellow prefect but then stopping again. The boy listening to Professor Elwood explain a few things about visions and the like. And then Kurumi snapped out of whatever it was giving him at least some relief in the matter though far from totally okay with it. He was about to answer her question when the older woman did instead before telling him and Louisa to return to their seats.
Gideon obeyed, not wanting to get in trouble, returning to his seat and his class project. His remaining stones in hand, he debated what to do before finally casting the last 4 once more so they could join their brethren. There...all there and within the circle. Making note of where they all lay, he went to work on the first few weeks of predictions.

Kurumi had set her quill down and folded her hands on the table as she looked up at the Divination professor. Kurumi blinked a few times, wondering why she was being asked if she was alright when everyone around her were the ones staring at her. "I'm fine, professor," she nodded. "Just trying to finish up my reading." In case she had a follow up asking what the Gryffindor was doing. No one was answering her question though, which was frustrating. It was just like in Transfiguration when Professor Magnus had asked her a similar thing when she had entered the classroom for class. Or, erm, reentered it as the woman had said she had. It was just weird.
When Professor Elwood dismissed the other two, Kurumi sort of just looked at them. Erm, right...and why was Louisa seemingly showing concern for her? THAT was the weird thing about this situation. Forget Professor Elwood asking if she was alright, Louisa actually looked concerned.
"I should probably get back to my reading," she said with a small smile. It wouldn't be too much longer until the lesson was over anyway. With that, Kurumi's attention was back on the stones on her table. Where had she left off? Oh, right.

My journey towards self discovery or whatnot began, but this week it comes to a peak due to outside influences that increase my willpower to find the answers as well as my passion towards...life?
Week Five : This week draws on the powers from the Sun and Venus stones respectively. The Sun represents power, energy and life while Venus love, fidelity, happiness. The combination of these implies a week ruled by emotions driven by love and that my relationships strengthen and perhaps I have the courage to tell that special someone that I love him. Perhaps this means the conflict from Week Two has been resolved?
Week Six : Since no stones fell in this area it implies that the effects from the previous week are still in effect and unchanging.
Week Seven : The main stone in this section is the one representing Air. Air brings with it a focus on wishes, hopes, dreams and inspiration. What is interesting is that the Mercury stone is a sort of pointer in this area, which means that my wishes, hopes, and dreams are more than just wishful thinking but that they are things that will push me towards self improvement and are things that I will seriously consider. Perhaps something that I have been longing for will come to be?
Week Eight : The effects of Mercury continue into this week, acting as a sort of pointer again for the stone representing Saturn. Saturn represents longevity, protection, purification. This could possibly mean that those hopes and dreams have turned into something more - not just a possible reality, but an actual reality. One that is lasting.
Week Nine : It seems like Mercury has finally worn off and Jupiter has come to take its place. Jupiter represents money, justice, prosperity. Perhaps this means I will happen upon some sort of wealth, if money is taken literally, or that this week is just especially fruitful. Maybe it is connect to those dreams and wishes coming true? More motivation could also be implied.
Week Ten : Shifting powers to those of the Water stone, this week places an emphasis on compassion, reconciliation, healing and cleansing. Looking back on my previous weeks' readings, it had been constant change after constant change, so it seems as though this week should be one of reflection and relaxation before starting into the home stretch of the year.
Week Eleven : The Moon's influence comes into play this week, bringing with it notions of inspiration, psychic ability and intuition. Seeing as I have no psychic abilities, I believe this week is more about my intuition. So I should trust my instincts this week. The Moon stone is also a sort of pointer towards the Earth stone, placing even more emphasis on friends and family, especially when it comes to finding personal inspiration.
Week Twelve : There is still a little bit of Earth's influence lingering this week, but it does not act as a pointer towards the stone representing the Spirit. Still, the fact that these two stones appear together shows that my personal desires will be those associated with friends and family, so I should seek out their company.
Meh, guess work. That is what this was. Still, Kurumi's attention was drawn to a particular week, the one where she had tried to cross out a certain something and her heart began to pound in her chest as another thought crossed her mind. "P-Professor?" Kurumi asked as she raised her hand. "When do these readings apply? I mean, since we casted these today, does today mark the beginning of week one?"

Alyssa looked at her circle again.
SPOILER!!: Alyssa's circle of 13
After studying where the stones fell and reading over what each stone represented, Alyssa began writing down what she thought the stones that she had dropped in the circle represented for her.
SPOILER!!: Alyssa's interpretation of the circle of 13 stones
Stone Meanings
The Sun - power, energy and life
The Moon - inspiration, psychic ability and intuition
Saturn - longevity, protection, purification
Venus - love, fidelity, happiness
Mercury - intelligence, self-improvement, overcoming bad habits
Mars - courage, defensive magic, battle, conflict
Jupiter - money, justice, prosperity
Earth - security of home, family and friends
Air - Wishes, hopes, dreams and inspiration
Fire - Passion, willpower, outside influences
Water - Compassion, reconciliation, healing and cleansing
Spirit - Needs of the self, communication with the Divine
The Universe - our place in the grand scheme of things, on a cosmic level
Week One:
It looks like nothing eventful will happen in the first week as no stones have fallen in that section.
Week Two:
Week two starts off smoothly until sometime in the middle of the week where the influence of the Fire Stone will show itself. As Fire represents passion, willpower and outside influences, this could possibly mean I will encounter something or someone that will test my own convictions and willpower midway through the week. It see myself losing my temper or feeling emotions I never thought I would have right now.
Week Three:
After what happened in the Second Week, I am glad that nothing will be happening this week as no stone has fallen in this section.
Week Four:
The Earth stone dropped into this section together with the Spirit stone which falls between this week and the next. With the Earth Stone representing security of home, family and friends and the Spirit Stone representing the needs of the self and communication with Divine, I believe that this week will start off calm but then sometime in the middle of the week, I be thinking of my family and friends and how much I miss them . The fact that the Spirit stone likes midway in this section means, that l will most likely be receiving some news from them. I'm only hoping that it is good news.
Week Five:
The Moon stone and Water Stone fall on this week. The Moon stone represents inspiration, psychic ability and intuition and the Water Stone represents compassion, reconciliation, healing and cleansing. The fact that the Moon stone and the Water form a cluster with the stones from the week before, with all pointers from all four stones pointing to the Moon stone, tells me that the Moon stone will dominate what happens at the end of last week and the entirety of this week. My intuition about what may be happening with some of my family and friends, will help me to reconcile and heal whatever differences I may have with them and will improve my communication with them also.
Week Six:
After all that turmoil and stuff happening in the fourth and fifth week, I'm glad that I will be having a peaceful week.
Week Seven:
The first few days of the week start of easy. The fact the Air stone has fallen in this section tells me that this week will be a good one though, as the Air stone represents wishes, hopes, dreams and inspiration. I believe that all I hope and wish for will come true this week.
Week Eight:
The first few days will start off good and by the end of the week, the power of the Sun Stone and the Venus stone will dominate the last few days in the week. Since the Sun stone represents power, energy and life, and the Venus Stone represents love, fidelity and happiness, this should mean that those days will be fun filled with love and happiness and on these days, my energy and health will be at it's peak.
Week Nine:
The fact that the Saturn stone, which represents longevity, protection and purification, has fallen on the first few days of this week and forms a cluster with the Sun and Venus Stone tells me that the feelings that I have been feeling the week before will continue throughout this week too. The fact that the Saturn Stone and Venus Stone are touching tells me I will finally find true love and happiness with someone who will love and protect me.
Week Ten:
The week will be relatively calm until the end of the week where there will be encountering some conflict which I will need lots of courage in order to overcome it and this conflict will continue until the next week.
Week Eleven:
As the week starts, it gets clearer what the conflict is about as the Mars stone's pointer points towards the Jupiter stone which falls in this section. As the Jupiter Stone represents money, justice and prosperity, the conflict will most probably be about some kind of inheritance which I will need to fight to keep. The fact that the Mercury Stone also falls in this section, will mean that during this week, even as I'm overcoming this obstacle, I will be learning from the mistakes I made while battling this conflict, as the Mercury Stone represents intelligence, self-improvement and overcoming bad habits.
Week Twelve:
After a very busy week, I'm only looking forward for a peaceful week, which is what the Universe Stone will hopefully give me as it represents our place in the grand scheme of things on a cosmic level. By the end of twelve weeks, I have truly learnt where my place is in the whole scheme of things. Everybody has an important part to play as we go through life. Some days we may seem insignificant but on other days, our mere existence can affect others.
Now that she was done, Alyssa sat back and rubbed her forehead. Her headache was getting worse.
I think we might stick with Stella being confused as to the interpretations

Honestly, Stella was torn as to whether or not she really wanted to try and cast her stones for a reading. She didn't want Professor Elwood to think she was refusing, but she was a little afraid of the interpretations part of a reading. It was just like Runes and Arithmancy. She was comfortable with most of the work, but trying to decide what it meant just confused her, even if she'd managed to answer a few of the discussion questions surprisingly correctly. Plus, she kept getting distracted anyhow, between Paulie's technicolor pants and then whatever was going on with Kurumi. The first thing they'd been told was to clear their mind, and it took her a few moments to even start to manage that. At least using some string to set up the field on her desk took up a bit of the slack. It made her feel like she got something accomplished, and taking a moment to focus on the most calming thing in her mind (seeing Matt again at the holidays), she slipped her stones back out of their bag and held them in a fist as she finally cleared even that thought out.
Once her mind was clear, or maybe a tiny bit foggy but nothing specific was coming through, she slowly held the hand holding her stones out over the center of her field, a foot or two above the tabletop. Luckily, the clatter that occurred as they hit the wood barely made her flinch, after so many others had already cast around her.
SPOILER!!: casting
What does it mean if stones are overlapping sections?, she wondered silently, even as she slid a piece of parchment down to at least record the placements, and maybe some thoughts. She was still not entirely sure about if she'd get interpretations right away, but at least she'd have something written down. Maybe the professor would let her mull over her interpretations for a while longer.

week 1:the universe and the moon: Is the universe stone pointing at the moon stone?
week 2: empty: a week for thought, or maybe just no major events?
week 3:the sun: energy boost after the quiet week?
week 4: another empty/quiet week?
week 5:Venus and Mercury: hmm, interesting, given the class example.
week 6:Mercury(?) and spirit: self-improvement. Both stones sort of refer to this, so maybe that's important?
week 7:Saturn(?): or is this another empty/quiet week?
week 8:Saturn and fire: will I be protected from outside influences? Or is this saying something else?
week 9:air and Jupiter: dreams leading to prosperity? Or, Jupiter sort of looks like it's pointing at air, so maybe prosperity leads to me accomplishing a dream? (will I find out I got accepted to WADA in this week?)
week 10:earth: security of those around me. So maybe after the week before I'll find out that my family and friends are happy for me, or that they'll be okay while I'm doing whatever it is week 9 referred to?
week 11:Mars (and maybe water): courage or conflict? Given the previous two weeks, I'd like to think the former, but maybe something shows up that makes things difficult for me.
week 12:water and the universe(?): reconciliation, healing (of my self?). This, given week 11, only makes me think that that week is bad, but that I'll be alright. I'll accept whatever happened then and learn from it.

project her Sight vocally to us? Call Louisa mad but she was sure Kurumi wasn't projecting anything, basically because she was silent. Kurumi always projected stuff by talking. The Ravenclaw though watched the professor intently looking at the Gryffindor's face, and gave her a questionable look. Before Louisa could elaborate more on the subject though, Kurumi unfroze and casually went on with her work.
Blink blink.
However, the fact that the professor just dismissed the issue all of a sudden was more questioning. Louisa frowned confusedly before stuttering, "B-but she just..." Grrr. They were asked to go back to their seats. HMPH. The Ravenclaw took another look at her fellow Gryffindor...not exactly knowing what her face resembled; concern? curiosity? disappointment? suspicion? All of the above?
Dragging her feet back to her desk Louisa plopped down on her chair, crossed her arms and continued to stare at Kurumi from where she sat.
Why would someone freeze for a couple of moments, then unfreeze and continue with their life as if nothing happened?

Indy didn't think she was going to be very good at this. She wasn't very good at clearing her mind. She was a rather imaginative girl, so clearing her mind of her extensive thoughts was going to be rather difficult. Or so she believed anyway. The girl shrugged though, and drew a cirlce on a parchment, dividing it into 12 sectors. It was going to be interesting. She hoped it would be okay. That she'd be able to clear her mind effectively. They were only practicing though, and Indy knew she was no seer, so she didn't really think she was going to get much out of this. It was fun though. She enjoyed the lesson, and the professor was pretty cool. Okay. Her circle was drawn now. With a smile, she opened the bag, and got her 13 stones out. She held them in her hands carefully, not wanting to drop any.
Now was the time to clear her mind. Indy closed her eyes, taking a couple of deep breaths. She didn't really know if it was working. Because she didn't want to think about clearing her mind, because then her mind wouldn't be clear. Okay. Mind clear as it could be. She counted down to three, and then carefully cast her stones. She tried not to throw them too hard. She didn't want them landing on the floor or something. Once she'd done that, she opened her eyes and saw where they had laid. Ahh. Interesting. Now she just needed to start to interpret them.
SPOILER!!: stone casting parchment thing

Reason: added a question for prof
Well Nigel was at least a little happy that his chart/wheel was not that bad. So now all he had to do was his interpretations for each week. So he took out a quill and some parchment and start his assignment.
SPOILER!!: Nigel's Interpretations
Week 1: The Air stone appears here. So this must mean that i will be think about wishes, hopes, dreams and inspiration. So maybe i will have good dreams.
Week 2: Water and Jupiter for this week meaning s money, justice, and prosperity for Jupiter and water meaning compassion, healing, calming. So maybe i will use the money i get to heal somebody.
Week 3: Nothing in Week 3 so a very quiet week
Week 4: Earth and Universe was cast here. This means to will be a self reflecting period for me at home.
Week 5: This week is represented by Venus. The Venus stone represents love, fidelity, and happiness. So this means i will feel happy this week.
Week 6: This week is represented by Mars. Mars represents courage, defensive magic, battle. So maybe i will get in a fight and have courage to do something.
Nigel was finally done and was a little confused, but satisfied that he finished his interpretations.

Now. Indiana really wasn't too sure how interpretations. Indy wasn't too good at interpeting things. Because she was going to give it a go anyway. Because she liked it. Hmm. The blonde noted down which stones were in which bit of the circle. That way if she knocked them she would've known where they had been. There was a couple of sections with no stones in, and that kind of made Indy confused. What was she supposed to do with those sections. Oh well. It seemed her throwing skills were good, because nobody was overlapping either. Now she just needed to get through the interpreting stage. Her tongue sticking out the corner of her mouth a little, Indy set to intepreting each section of the circle
SPOILER!!: Indy's parchment
What the stones mean
1. The Sun - power, energy and life
2. The Moon - inspiration, psychic ability and intuition
3. Saturn - longevity, protection, purification
4. Venus - love, fidelity, happiness
5. Mercury - intelligence, self-improvement, overcoming bad habits
6. Mars - courage, defensive magic, battle, conflict
7. Jupiter - money, justice, prosperity
8. Earth - security of home, family and friends
9. Air - Wishes, hopes, dreams and inspiration
10. Fire - Passion, willpower, outside influences
11. Water - Compassion, reconciliation, healing and cleansing
12. Spirit - Needs of the self, communication with the Divine
13. The Universe - our place in the grand scheme of things, on a cosmic level
Week 1 – Sun and Air
• The sun represents a good energy, whilst air represents hopes and dreams. So maybe in this week my energy will be good, meaning I might be closer to reaching my hopes and dreams/
Week 2 – Jupiter
• Money. In this week maybe something earns me money? Or maybe it’d be a hogmeade weekend so I’d spend more? Or perhaps I learn something that will lead me to money in the future.
Week 3 – Mars• Courage. I may need courage for something that occurs in this week. There may be conflict within the week that needs me to be courageous.
Week 4 – Empty
• This section is empty. So perhaps my life continues on in the same pattern as the previous week.
Week 5 – Water
• There is reconciliation in this week. Maybe it’ll mean I make up with the person I had conflict with in Week 3.
Week 6 – Fire
• Passion, outside influences. Maybe something will occur that changes everything. Maybe there is an outside influence that caused the conflict within week 3, which may affect the reconciliation that happened in week 5
Week 7 – Moon and Saturn
• Inspiration. The moon maybe suggests I am inspired by something, but then Saturn represents protection. So maybe I am inspired to protect someone. Maybe this could relate to quidditch? Seeing as I’m a beater…my role is to protect the seeker?
Week 8 - Mercury and Universe
• Mercury represents intelligence and self-improvement, so maybe within this week I am more focused on my studies. The universe represents our place in the grand scheme of things. This kind of matches with mercury, and my personality as I like improving my intelligence, and learning new things.
Week 9 – Empty
• This section is empty again so perhaps I’m continuing on the same way as last week, improving my intelligence. Or it may just be a quiet week.
Week 10 - Earth
• Earth represents security of home, and my friends. I believe this would be a quiet week, just thinking about my friends. Maybe it represents near the end of term. Going home. I feel very secure in my house at Hogwarts, and sometimes it’s hard going home.
Week 11 – Venus
• Venus represents Love and happiness. This week could be a follow on of week 10, where I am very happy within my house, and feel very loved within my group of friends.
Week 12 – Spirit.
• The final stone is spirit, which represents the needs of me. This comes at the end of the 12 weeks, which could help me to view everything else, and see how it affects my needs.
Indy kind of frowned a little as she looked at her interpretations. She wasn't sure if they any good. But this was the first time that she had done this. Hopefully the professor would come and tell her how she had done. And she was only little. She could only learn right?

Meh, guess work. That is what this was. Still, Kurumi's attention was drawn to a particular week, the one where she had tried to cross out a certain something and her heart began to pound in her chest as another thought crossed her mind. "P-Professor?" Kurumi asked as she raised her hand. "When do these readings apply? I mean, since we casted these today, does today mark the beginning of week one?"
Still a tad concerned with the Gryffindor's little episode just now, Professor Elwood gladly welcomed the Divination question.
"That's right. The beginning of week one starts the second you cast your coins so keep an eye on these interpretations because you should hopefully see events relative to them in the upcoming weeks." Callie nodded and smiled after looking at the girl curiously for a minute.
She was fine.

Walking over to her desk, Callie leaned down as if helping her with her stones and said spoke quietly to her.
"Come see me in my office after the lesson is over, alright." They could talk about what had happened.

Equilateral stones?
The girl had chosen some of the hard to read ones! "Well that means that each point that is pointing at another stone calls for your to interpret what the connect between those two stones means." So needless to say more work for her and a slightly more complicated reading.
Week 1-Mercury -intelligence, self-improvement, overcoming bad habits
- maybe I will do very well in school and stop being tactless.
Week 2-air -Wishes, hopes, dreams and inspiration
- maybe my dream will come true
Week 3-venus and a bit of moon -love, fidelity, happiness
with abit of inspiration, psychic ability and intuition - i will be happy yet inspiried and intuitive. my paraniod body won;t sadden be so much. Venus is a pointer, poitning to Jupiter.I will be happy with my money i gt.
Week 4-a bit of Venus , mostly moon and bit of spirit - inspiration, psychic ability and intuition with a bit of love, fidelity, happiness and Needs of the self, communication with the Divine-will see the future, yet be happy with it.
Week 5-spirit and a bit of earth -Needs of the self, communication with the Divine
with a bit of security of home, family and friends- will be able to mediatate without becoming withdrawn.
Week 6-earth and a bit of Saturn - security of home, family and friends with a bit of longevity, protection, purification
- will have fun with friends and family but be safe.
Week 7-fire and Saturn- longevity, protection, purification and Passion, willpower, outside influences
- be passionate about something, yet feel secure. Saturn is pointer. pointing to mercury, earth and water. All these can be entwined in saturn. Protecion=security of home = compassion and healing. They are all together,.. Yet it is alos pointing to Mars and/or Mercury. This complicated things. Maybe I will do courageous acts yet have protexciton.
Week 8- water - a time of Compassion, reconciliation, healing and cleansing - maybe lick the wounds of being passinate.
Week 9-overlap of water and then sun a bit o Compassion, reconciliation, healing and cleansing with lots of power, energy and life
- i will heal, yet won't be depressed.
Week 10- Jupiter -money, justice, prosperity
will earn pocketmoney and be happy with what i have. The Jupiter is a pointer, that is pointing to the Universe stone. I will be able to be rich,. yet not con-incited.
Week 11-universe -our place in the grand scheme of things, on a cosmic level , will have good self-esteem and feel important
Week 12-mars -courage, defensive magic, battle, conflict, will be a true gryffindor and stand up for what i believe in.

Reason: adding pointers
Assistant Marauder | 1/2 of BenSky | Hit Wiz! | Mischief Managed
Taking each of her stones she felt them and noticed the colors! She had a black raindbow stone, three clear stones, two red ones though one was mixed with orange and yellow, and two actual orange ones though one had brown in it also, she also had two green ones, one gold one, one black and brown one, and one blue one, some were smooth and some were rough!
Clear her mind, that was easier said then done, Nerida always had something on her mind! Taking a deep breath she closed her eyes and tried cleared her mind. Opening her eyes she found her string and made the circle over the parchment where she had drawn her diagram of the circle. Taking all of her stones into her hand she shaked them and dropped them. Loud noise... Taking a look down at her reading she noticed that week one was empty...Odd, how did one week have nothing in it? Pulling her parchment over to her she began evoluating her weeks! After writing down which stones were in each week she began to write what would happen in each week.
SPOILER!!: Nerida's tabletop
Made a mistake ignore the green stone in week twelve
SPOILER!!: Nerida's Notes
Lithomancy~Divination using stones
To do a reading you need a stone set.
To do the reading: Toss the stones into a circle made of string that will act as the field. Once the stones are in the feild read them by their position.
There is 13 stones in the stone set. Each of the thirdteen stones represents something.
Field is made of string/or other material that you place on a flat surface
Circle feild is no longer than a foot wide
Divided into 4 quadrants and then into 12 sectins that represent one week long periods
The Sun - power, energy and life
The Moon - inspiration, psychic ability and intuition
Saturn - longevity, protection, purification
Venus - love, fidelity, happiness
Mercury - intelligence, self-improvement, overcoming bad habits
Mars - courage, defensive magic, battle, conflict
Jupiter - money, justice, prosperity
Earth - security of home, family and friends
Air - Wishes, hopes, dreams and inspiration
Fire - Passion, willpower, outside influences
Water - Compassion, reconciliation, healing and cleansing
Spirit - Needs of the self, communication with the Divine
The Universe - our place in the grand scheme of things, on a cosmic level
Important things to know:
Clusters: groups of stones that have fallen closely together and seem to have something to do with each others.
An example: In the first section (the first week after the reading in my future) 2 stones fell directly beside each other, forming a cluster, Venus and Mercury. Now perhaps that means I will be able to communicate more freely with someone I love or perhaps they will finally approach me?"
Week One: No Stones
Week Two: Starts with the Universe Stone and ends with the Sun Stone
Week Three: Starts with the Spirit Stone and ends with the Sun Stone
Week Four: Starts with the Mercury Stone and ends with the Fire Stone
Week Five: Ends with the Fire Stone
Week Six: Starts with the Moon Stone
Week Seven: Starts with the Venus Stone and ends with the Air Stone
Week Eight: Starts with the Water Stone
Week Nine: Starts with the Earth Stone
Week Ten: Starts with the Mars Stone and ends with the Saturn Stone
Week Eleven: Starts with the Jupiter Stone and ends with the Saturn Stone
Week Twelve: No Stones

Once Lily got her stones and had returned to her seat she set to work. She carefully tossed her stones down onto her desk. She looked at them closely for a second before setting to work trying to decipher them.
Text Cut: her desk...and decipherings
week 1: The start of week one contains the water stone... so that would mean some sort of cleansing/healing/reconciliation thing is going to happen... or something involved with compassion will occur. Maybe Daddy will tell me why he wasn't happy last year when he found out I was a witch... week 2: Week two contains the mercury and earth stones. Mercury means self improvement or intelligence and earth means security of home, family and friends. So maybe the combination of the two means that I will gain the knowledge that my family/friends and home are safe... week 3: Contains venus and fire stone. Venus is love/happiness and fire is passion/willpower. The combination of these seems to say that love and passion will come my way... Yuck!! week 4: Contains part of fire and the spirit stone. Fire is passion/willpower and spirit is needs of self/communication with divine. This tells me that I will have the willpower to focus on the needs of myself... whatever that means... week 5: Contains mars stone. Mars means courage/defensive magic/battle/conflict. This doesn't look that good. Maybe I'll get into a fight with some friends... or I'll have the courage to defend my friends... who knows... week 6: Contains moon and universe stones. Moon means inspiration, psychic ability and intuition and universe means our place in the grand scheme of things, on a cosmic level. This one is more confusing... but maybe I'll be inspired to look at the universe as a whole... week 7: No stones in week 7 week 8: Contains Saturn stone. Saturn means longevity, protection, purification. This week will probably be a really long week... though I should be protected... and clean? week 9: no stones here. week 10: Contains air and sun stones. Air means Wishes, hopes, dreams and inspiration and sun means power, energy and life. Sun is also a pointer... so maybe my wishes this week will have to do with power, energy and life. week 11: Contains part of jupiter stone. Jupiter means money, justice, prosperity. So maybe this week will be a very prosperous week. Maybe Cousin Benjy will send me money!!! week 12: Contains other part of Jupiter stone and water stone. Maybe it will be both prosperous and cleansing...Maybe a bath in money??
Once Lily had finished with her predictions, she placed her quill down and looked around, waiting for the professor to come around and see how she did... especially since she really had no idea what she was doing...

Seeing that many of them were finished Professor Elwood nodded at the good work a few of the stragglers where just ending their readings and made her way back to the front of the classroom.
"Alright everyone I want to thank you for working so hard today despite some small incidents," Multicolored pants coming into existance and extreme day-dreaming aka freezing but they made it to the end. "and since we are pretty much all finished I will go ahead and call the end of this lesson. You all have a great rest of the day."
So they were free to go. It was time for Calista to go back to her office and take a nap once she finished speaking to students.
OCC: And with this post I will no longer accept work on these readings. Good work to all those who have done well so far and keep an eye out for the homework which I shall post later today.

As the Professor demonstrated, Vickers went about to do the same, pulling out the twill that would’ve tied the stone pouch shut and stretching it out into a circle on his desk. He poured the stones out of the pouch and held them in his hands, letting them roll about it between his fingers before pulling his hands apart and letting the stones fall in the circle.
Just as he was about to peer into his stones the he sat up startled. Professor Elwood, standing over Kurumi, was saying something about the BEYOND. He shifted about a few times in his seat trying to figure out what was going on, even spotting a few Prefect stand and head over to where Kurumi was. He made a motion to at least stand, but the gems caught the flickering lights of the candles, playing across his face as bidding him to give his attention back to them.
He turned his attention back to his desk, staring for a moment at the predominantly clustered arrangement that his casting had formed. Pulling out his textbook and laying the chapter open on his lap, he pulled his long parchment notes beside it and started to figure out a reading…
SPOILER!!: the casting

Week 1= No stones. Likely will be an uneventful week
Week 2-3= Three stone clusters made of Water, Moon and Earth stones. I will be going home for the holidays and this makes sense if the Earth stone (Malachite) says I will be surrounded by family. This would be a good time to “recharge” as indicated by the Water stone (Sodalite) when it means to take the time to heal and cleanse, reconciling successes and disappointments that has happened during the year. Both of these are pointing at the Moon stone (Pearl) which says that I should use my intuition or find inspiration during this time. It is interesting to see how the Moon stone overlaps almost on the 4th week and sits near the cluster that has formed on it.
Week 4-5= Another three -stone clusters forms during these weeks-- the Mercury (Emerald), Spirit (Quartz) and Universal (Onxy) stones. These look to be something happening at the start of the New Year. It is a time of self-improvement, to think what I’ve been doing right and what I need to improve on. Its also a good time to step back and see how I am in the grand scheme of things (at least the grand scheme of my own limited world). My intuitions and inspirations of the previous week, as symbolized by the Moon stone (Pearl), should and hopefully carry over during this time and help me with that.
Week 6= Another quiet week.
Week 7= A single stone is found here-- the Air stone, symbolized by the Opal. Its likely the time when I have returned to Hogwarts and am well into my studies in the new year understandably filled with wishes and hopes and dreams that the new year would hopefully be a better one
Week8-9= There looks to be something… interesting… happening during this time, with both the Fire stone (Sardonyx) and the Mars stone (Coral) paired together. The book says there could be some outside influence holding sway during this time, inciting passion or courage or conflict. It might be a tumultuous time for me given the presence of both stones together, something I’m a bit worried about.
Week10-11= There is one stone found during the latter half of week 10 that overlaps a bit into week 11. It is the Saturn stone represented by the Sapphire. The Saturn stone represents protection, purification and longevity. Perhaps my previous trials during weeks 8-9 would hopefully get better at this time, be protected by whatever it was that affected me or maybe I come out of it a stronger person.
Week 11-12= Week 11-12= The final three-stone clusters of Jupiter, Venus and the Sun. Given how far along the stones have fallen, it would seem I have something to look forward toward to sometime in the spring, since the stones that represents happiness and prosperity cluster together with the stone that signifies energy and life.
Yeah thats what crazy is, when its broken you say theres nothing to fix++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++And you pray that everything will be okay, while you're making all the same mistakes
Calista could tell that Louisa was still concerned.
Walking over to her desk, Callie leaned down as if helping her with her stones and said spoke quietly to her.
"Come see me in my office after the lesson is over, alright." They could talk about what had happened.
Louisa's staring turned from Kurumi to the professor who leaned in close and started to point at her stones... pretend to, actually. Louisa looked into the woman's eyes and nodded, "Okay." FJGHDK! WHY? Like of course it was about the Inner Eye thing but... really? The Ravenclaw's curiosity boosted to its highest level and she started biting her nails as Elwood moved on to other students.
The Prefect went back to staring at Kurumi her eyes squinted just a little as her mind raced... could Kurumi be really a Seer and Elwood didn't want to reveal this piece of info in front of everyone else? But then why did she shout excitedly about it?
....
The class was over finally. Louisa QUICKLY gathered her stones in the pouch again and tucked her parchments in her bag as well as her wand. Once she reached the professor she lifted the stone pouch, "Do we keep those, professor?" HURRY UP AND TELL ME WHAT THAT WAS ALREADY.
The class was finally over but Nigel did not know what to do with the stones. He did not think he should keep them so he packed up everything, put the stones back in the pouch, and went up to the professor.
It seemed like the Prefect had the same idea too. "Thanks for the lesson Professor and here is your stones" Nigel said as he handed the professor the stones. He left the room to go back to the common room to take a nap.

Both of the first two students preparing to leave, Ravenclaws, tried to hand Callie the stones back.
"Oh, no you guess can keep those. You all have bonded with them and you will need them for your homework." Professor Elwood didn't need them and the precious stones weren't of the best karat so they weren't too expensive; besides Hogwarts had an extensive monetary fund that she used to get them in the first place.
