As the class ended, Sierra glanced down at her work. Merlin, this had taken forever to do. Quickly, she reread her work on the last six weeks. Week 7: The stone present in this section is the Saturn stone. This stone stands for power, energy, and life. I think this means that in week seven, I'll be at my strongest. I'll also be full of energy and life, possibly at the happiest I've been since the cycle of weeks started. I think it also stands for the fact that this week provided me with enough energy and rejuvenation to approach the upcoming weeks. Week 8: The stone present in this section is the Moon stone. This stone stands for inspiration, psychic ability, and intuition. To be honest, I don't think much of this really relates to me. I've never had much luck in Divination, so I don't think the psychic ability applies much to me. At least the inspiration and intuition does, and the important thing to point out here is that this stone is a pointer. It's pointing to the stones present in week nine, which may suggest a connection. (Continued in the next reading) Week 9: The Moon stone pretty much points to the Water stone, which is the stone present in week nine. The Water stone stands for compassion, reconciliation, healing, and cleansing. I'm guessing this means that I should be inspired to mend any broken relationships or bridges that might be burned. To be honest, I can't think of any broken re--oh, wait. I can. Merlin! This means that I may actually have to be nice to my Week 9/10: I did a combination of weeks here, because the stone ended up falling halfway between each week. The stone present here is the Mercury stone. This stone stands for intelligence, self-improvement, and overcoming bad habits. I guess this really does mean that I should make an attempt to be nice to my brother. After all, because it's also in week nine, it also ties in to everything I discovered there. Maybe that's the bad habit that the Mercury stone warns of? I'm not sure. I don't see how I'd be improving myself if I mended things with Alex. Ehhh. I guess it'd make me a better person. Blahh. Week 11: There are two stones present in week eleven. First, we have the Mars stone, which stands for courage, defensive magic, battle, and conflict. Then we have the Spirit stone, which stands for needs of the self and communication with the Divine. Now I'm officially lost, especially since I have no idea what most of the meanings...well, mean. Maybe the 'needs of the self' means I need to work on some things about myself, things I'll need the courage to do. Maybe I'll have some sort of inner conflict and battle with myself. Either way, it sounds like week eleven is what week seven was preparing me for. Week 12: Finally, we make it to the end of the cycle! The stone present this week is the Jupiter stone. This stone stands for money, justice, and prosperity. What a way to end a cycle! Sounds pretty rewarding to me! Only, ...this stone is a pointer stone, and it's pointing to the stone in week one! Could this mean the cycle is just going to start all over again, and I have to deal with everything I just overcame for a second time! :whaa: Class was over now, though, so who cared about cycles starting all over. This would likely just end up wadded up in the bottom of Sierra's book bag. Ha. Standing up and collecting her belongings, she passed by the professor on her way out the door. "Bye, Professor," she said, not too cheery, but just enough so that the point would get across. Then she looked forward and headed out the door. OOC: Ahhh. O_o I thought the assignment ended tonight, so I broke mine up into parts to make it more like she was working on it, and it was a work in progress. So even though you'll no longer accept it, I thought I'd post it anyway, since I'd already done it, and you could see what she did. [:/] |
With his fixes, the situation and concern with Kurumi, and the time taken to do the readings he had already done, it hadn't surprised Gideon too much that he had run out of time, the professor thanking them and letting them know class was indeed finished. Guess he'd have to work on the rest of them at another time when he was on his own. So making sure he had written down where each stone had landed for later reference,he picked them back off the parchment and slipped them inside the pouch. The sixth year closing it securely before putting it to his bag with the rest of his belongings as he packed everything up. When he was finished, Gideon got up to his feet and picked it up, slipping the sachel's strap over his shoulder and began to head out. "Bye Professor. Thanks for class." with that he went to continue his way towards the door but slowly as if debating saying or doing something else. |
Yes! Ella had survived Divination without being totally confused!...not to say there wasn't some minor confusion. There definitely had been some here and there. But all in all the class had gone well and been fun! GRIN. The second year packed up her things and the stones and headed towards the door, stopping near the professor. "Thanks Professor Elwood. It was a really interesting class!" And the second year offered her teacher a smile before heading out the door. |
Alyssa blinked. That was it? Class was over? She was just glad that it was. Hearing the Professor say that they couid keep the stones because they were going to be needing it for their homework, Alyssa groaned. She hoped that homework was going to be easier than the classwork assignment. Alyssa packed her things, placed the stones back into the pouch before picking up the string and tying the pouch back up, Alyssa made her way to the Professor. "Thanks for the class, Professor." Alyssa told her before making her way out of the classroom and back to her Common Room. |
SPOILER!!: Professor :) Zhenya had really appreciated Professor Elwood's help. She felt encouraged, and even though she initially had no clue what any of the lesson was about she now had a good set of notes, and her own set of stones, AND knew how to use them. She still wasn't sure she would be able to interpret them quite so well, but she was sure that would come with time. "Thanks Professor," she said with a smile. As she was starting to write down her interpretations of her stones, Professor Elwood announced the lesson was finishing. Oh dang. She sighed and quickly drew her board and where the stones landed on her parchment so that she could interpret them visually in the common room. She was determined to be able to do that! She carefully packed her stones in her pouch and packed away her things. Taking another glance around to make sure she had cleaned up, she stood up and said "Thanks for the lesson, Professor. I definitely feel like my head is full." It sure was. She had learned an entire new thing today, and she was happy! |
with a little Louisa :3 Quote:
Which meant.... Kurumi's eyes widened a bit as she counted on her fingers. A month, in about a month was when...maybe...maybe she would... Kurumi's cheeks turned bright pink and she quickly folded up her parchment so no one would look over her shoulder or anything at her predictions. "Oh, um, thank you, professor," she replied in a slightly hurried tone. And...was Louisa still staring at her? What had the Gryffindor done?! Was there something on her face? Looking at Louisa curiously, Kurumi sort of mouthed the word 'what?' in the girl's direction. The Ravenclaw was never one to hold her tongue, especially when it came to Kurumi and her actions. Quote:
A month...really? Was that possible? Well, seeing what all had happened after the Quidditch match, how close they had come to it, Kurumi could see it as a possibility...but that didn't make her heartbeat return to a normal pace. It only made it beat faster. Guess work...that is all Divination was anyway. Guess work. Not like any of these predictions ever actually came true anyway. Right? So...there was nothing to be nervous about. RIGHT?! "H-H-Have a good day, professor," she squeaked as she made her way out of the classroom. |
