It was a long walk down from the Divination Tower to the lawns that sprawled out infront of Hogwarts Caslte and hopefully you didn't let your shaws drag or trip over your skirts. Professor Elwood is already waiting for you when you arrive, she too has dressed up as a stereotypical forune teller complete with about 5 shaws, a purple turban and about 10 pounds of necklaces.
When you arrive please line up close to her and wait for instructions.

Before he could even think, a girl was standing in front of him. A blonde girl with a huge smile. Usually Dylan would have found this type of thing strange...but for now, he'd go with it. Since they didn't have their robes, he couldn't rightfully say what house she was in...being as he didn't remember from last year.
It was LAME how he hadn't participated that much. LAME, I say.
Meh, she was cute. Just an observation...Yes, he might have grinned at her while responding, "Hello, yourself." Musing his hair some, he *SIDE/EYED* the rest of their classmates. "...And we can attempt to recruit."
There was so many people in the area...and so many things...It was a little confusing who was in groups or by themselves. Shrugging that off, he started yelling again, "We need more people? Join us!!"

Yaaay. They had a team this was so awesome. And she seemed to be the litte person. So that meant she would get to ride in the wagon? It did make sense. Because she was hardly going to be able to like push one of these big kids around. But she was glad that they had a good four peson term. They were going to be so so epic. Indy was looking forward to this. As long as they managed to do a good wagon. Because she really didn't want to end up falling out.
Oooh. So the boy that wasn't Vic was suggesting they get there materials they need. "Thats a good idea." Indy nodded turning around to look at the material. "Then we can make sure we've got everything before we start building it." Didn't really want to end up forgetting something important like a wheel or something. That would be pretty tragic.

Kimalia smiled while waving at the incoming guy, who was named Vickers? Hm, Cute nick name. And now they were accepted into the group. Yay!
This would be good, seeing as they had an even amount of Ravenclaw and Slytherins, so that meant they were going to be building it the smart and best way possible. "Great, sounds good." Nodding at the younger Slytherin's instructions. "Now we'll juuust need some wood to work with." Using her scouting abilities, if she can sight the Quaffle then wood would be a cinch to spot.
Oh duh, they were not that far away from them as Kimalia ran over to collect some boards. At least four would be good, for the walls, floor and ceiling.

The woman was certainly excited and it showed as she flicked her wand again, this time causing a fortune teller's cart to appear, the one that was housed in her office. "This is a fortune teller's cart with the word's 'The Magnificiant Harmony Peacekeeper' written on it's side in faded gold letters. "Does eveyone know what this is? If you don't it is a fortune teller's wagon and this one belonged to a pretty good one at that, The Magnificiant Harmony Peacekeeper." And she had heard that she was quite pretty too....
Calista looked at the students as they took in the site of the wagon. "You may be wondering what I am going to have you do that requires us to be on the Grounds? Well that will be answered with this." The Professor dramatically pointed at a large pile of wood, wheels, and long handles laying in the grass not too far from them--how could they have missed it? Surely they didn't think the Groundskeeper was building something new.
"You will be building your own Fortune Teller's wagon and then racing them against your peers. Fortune tellers are always in competition with others to get the customers." She winked slyly. "Now I want you all to team up, in groups no larger than 4 but you must have at least two to a group." She walked through the crowd of students until she was about 30 yards away.
"You will have to build your wagon using the sticking and unsticking charms, adhaero and avexis respectively." She pulled out her wand and spoke the incantations out so they knew how to perform them themselves. "Ahd-high-row, to stick things and A-Wek-sis to unstick them!"
"Now go ahead and team up, I want there to be as much younger and older student mixtures as possible so that the older ones can help the younger with the spells. And finally, the members of the first two teams to cross the finish line, where I am standing, will recieve each recieve 5 extra house points!"
She stood at her position away from them, the finish line, and shot sparks into the air. "GO!!"
OCC: Alright kiddies here's the rules:
1.) 2-4 people per group.
2.) Try to mix older and younger students together.
3.) Your wagon must consist of a floor, 4 wheels, at least 2 walls and a puller/handle.
4.) In order to win you must pull the cart all the way to the finish line. It doesn't matter which member of the team that posts doing this it counts.
5.) One member MUST be INSIDE the wagon while it is being pulled.
6.) This needs to be done in at least FIVE posts each to get credit. (Label them please)
7.) I know this is a race but please be realistic, and also 1 liners will not count towards a post.
So what to do: You have to post at least 5 times each building the thing and then at least one of you gets in, the other pulls, and then cross the line where Callie is. (Crossing the finish line doesn't count as one of the five)
Good luck!
He nodded his head when Dylan suggested to start collecting building materials. "I'll take care of a pair of wheels." he offered. He drew his wand out and started levitating two large wooden wheels and settled them near the planks already collected by the Slytherin Captain. He paused for a moment then pointed his wand again at the wood supplies, levitating two thick wooden beams which would serve as the axle and where the wheels will be attached to.

Kimalia ran just in time to the pile of boards, and grabbing two ran back to her group. Wait, why was she running back and forth? It didn't make sense, so instead of running back to get two more she pointed her wand at them. "Accio two more boards." Watching as they zoomed towards her.

Sooo. The older students were getting the stuff. Indy kind of felt a bit bad that she wasn't really getting naything, but if she had tried to levitate any of the materials Indy probably would've dropped them. So really Indy just stood and made sure nobody nicked there stuff. Andd she tried to think how on earth they would build this together. Obviously the wood bits would go on top of the wheels. That was obvious really. Maybe it would be a better idea to leave the building to the boys. Indy didn't really build things too often.
Ooh. They needed handles too. "Let me get the handles." She giggled, running over and grabbing them, before dragging them back across. "Do we need anything else?"

Yay! He had a partner...and she was as eager to start building as he was. Awesomeness. He pushed his billowy sleeves up, in preparation for the task. Except, they were being as much of a nuisance as his turban with their silky icky fabric, and promptly fell back down to his wrists. With a sigh, he started rolling them up properly.
His turban? He looked up to Kate from his sleeve rolling, and it promptly fell back over his eyes. Point taken. It would definitely inconvenience wagon building. "Good point," he said, finishing rolling up his second sleeve, before putting his turban to one side. His head suddenly felt a lot free-er, and he shook his curls lightly, puffing them back up to their usually unruly mess.
Grin.
"So, we need wood." And Spike being Spike, this meant running to go get it manually. Wands were risky and only used on occasion. Hands were trusted. Unless Kate wanted to levitate it, of course.
"How big do you think? Two planks across the bottom, or three?" He tilted his head thoughtfully. "Three would be stronger, as there'd be less force on a single central joint. But it'd be heavier to pull too..."
Well, now... Kate was glad she was comfortable with the outfit she was wearing, especially since Spike happened to be the complete opposite.
Her smile only widened when he agreed. Yes, she had a perfectly valid point, the turban would've fall off eventually by pure will. At least his sleeves weren't a problem anymore. And..., "OH, I love your hair! It suits your outfit more, by the way," and made him look completely adorable too, like one of those little kids you see bouncing up and down.
Okay, the cart.
"Well, you'll be pulling the cart, right? So you make that choice," it seemed only fair, "But two large ones will suffice," she said, adding a wink at the end. Two will do. Actually, if you found ONE that was large enough... then they didn't need two. Her wand however was already levitating two wheels to the nearest spot they'll be doing all the work. He knew how to levitate things, right? Because Wingardium Leviosa and/or Locomotor 'something' was taught at an early stage.
He could carry stuff by hand if he wanted to, she wasn't picky about it.

O_o "Um, OH!" Duh, she was a witch, levitating them would've been easier. Buuut since she was already here, she took two large wheels and rolled them over to her group. "Got sooome." And then turned to face the rest of the pile, "Accio two more wheels." Pointing her wand towards the specific two and watched as they flew towards her.
Dylan grinned at Indy, her excitement spilling over. It was terribly difficult for him to be in the zone around naturally happy people... Why, he had no idea...That's just how it was.
Turning back to his other two teammates, the Slytherin pulled his wand. It was his intention to start helping with the transport of their materials...but an odd site was meeting his blue eyes. Kimalia had taken off, darting towards the area the Professor had designated for supplies...but Vicky had apparently had the same idea.
Quite suddenly, the boards were laying on the ground a few yards away from him...as well as two wheels and the boards the were meant to hold them in place...And Kimalia was running up with their last two.
Wow, that was crazy-stupid fast.
Not really knowing what to think about their speed and efficiency in getting the stuffs together, Dylan pointed his wand towards the pile of handles. Accio just happen to be one of his best spells, so he felt confident in using it in front of everyone...(There was no need to risk embarrassing one's self. Nope, not at all. He wouldn't dare!)
However, it was unnecessary...because Indy was already running towards the pile. Resting his wand arm, he gave her a thumbs up on her way back and grinned. They had all of their stuf-...No, wait. No they didn't. Spying just one axle for the wheels in their section, Dylan moved towards the piles to get a better look before catching sight of a second one. Accio!ing that over, as well. he settled it gently down with the other before doing a last check.
"Okay guys...I believe we have everything. Do you all know the correct spells?" Okay, Dylan was acting like a annoyingly helpful Hufflepuff...He knew. Yea, that was getting blamed on competitiveness....
There goes the no-partner-Xing again. Merlin knows what occupies his mind! Looking like some sort of an anti-social weirdo in the weird outfit, he stands at the side, eyeing every single corner of the place in case if someone needs a partner. His lips are puckered and arms crossed, he watches the place intensely.
"Sure can." Crawling over to where the other wheels were he Set them in place lifting up the side of the cart "adhaero" on the first one and moving sideways to the back of the cart still holding up the side and keeping it balanced he used "adhaero" again attaching the fourth and last wheel.
Standing up he pushed the cart back and forth watching as it rolled nicely. Alright, it's moving, now for the handle of the cart. "Ok, we need te attach the handle. But...mebbe ye want te climb in and see if ye fit ok and it supports ye." he didn't want it falling apart as soon as Nigel climbed in!
Nigel was busy putting the final touches using the adhaero charm and looked up from finishing his inspection on the other two wheels to hear Issac say that we had to attach the handle and test whether the cart can hold my weight or not. So Nigel thought about it and wondered if he could do both at once. It might save time, but he would need help because all he could do is hold it in place and someone else would have to use the charm. So after much thought he decided to do both things at once.
Nigel went over to where the handle was and grabbed it. It was heavier than he thought but he needed to bring it back fast one team had already won. They got points so only one more team could win and it was a race after all. Once he had the handle he went back to the cart and carefully got in the cart. "Um its looks like the cart will hold my weight after all and i need help attach the handle to the cart please"
Louisa tugged at her tunic, long flowy awful skirt all the time the professor had talked. HMPH. She was not happy in this class and she couldn't care less about this stupid race in those stupid outfits.
The girl eyed the pile of stuff lazily before looking around for a partner. Anyone could do really...

... even the one who was weirdly eying everyone around him. She walked closer and pointed at the pile of junks they were supposed to turn into a wagon. "Wanna partner up? I'm Louisa." Serious introduction and all.
Louisa needed to get this over with as soon as possible.
Her badge looked ridiculous on top of this tunic anyways.
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
Oakey looked around frantically as all the other weirdly dressed students broke off into groups! he needed to partner up but couldn't find a team to join fast enough. Maybe if he looked as dazed and confused as he possibly could someone would grab him and start instructing him to do something. Kay here goes nothing. Blank stare, check tilted head, check, hunched stance, check, and open jaw check.

With luck on his side, a girl approaches him, expectedly asking whether he'd like to be her partner. "YES! Of course," Xing beams excitedly, contrast to Louisa's introduction. "My name is Xing. Nice to meet you," he bows. Then, he sees the badge on Louisa's tunic. "Is that have in the box of jewelleries? I didn't saw them." Because it's pretty and all. Clearly he has no idea that she is a prefect.
Anyways, he'd better cut the crap off and starts doing what is told.
His hair? He looked at her curiously, before shrugging. "It's just hair..." he said quietly, though a hint of colour might have come to his cheeks. He shook it so the curls bounced reassuringly once more, definitely glad to be rid of that stupid turban.
"I, er, suppose..." he answered, having not really thought about the issue of the cart. But he supposed it was probably only fair, as he was the male of the two of them. He nodded along, mentally deciding that speed and therefore weight (or lack of it) was of the essence. Whilst still maintaining strength, of course. He didn't was to be depositing his new friend halfway through the race, afterall. "I'll see what I can find..."
He headed for the wood pile, ducking as he realised Kate was already levitating wheels across to where they'd be working. Hmm, now which pieces to choose? He pulled a few pieces out of the pile, laying them out so he could see them better.
Aha! He'd spied something.
He glanced back at Kate, and then to the piece he'd just found, trying to judge sizes. It was only a single piece, but that'd save weight and extra sticking...and nobody had said it needed to be a spacious wagon, right? He shrugged to himself, before dragging it towards where Kate was stood.

....Zing? His name was Zing? Okay. Louisa just stared at him beaming and getting excited. "Okay." Oh, right. "You'd even be more glad to meet me in my real stinking real outfit." Grrrr.
She was about to walk toward the pile of stuff before the boy spoke again... and he spoke wrong. And no, she didn't mean the accent. "You can't use a verb after a verb to be like that." Louisa said disapprovingly. He also made another grammatic mistake that she was going to overlook for now. It was hard when you were a Ravenclaw but she should be fine maybe. "But no. This is my Prefect badge, not accessory at all." Poking the boy's elbow, she moved toward the pile of junk. "Comeon let's get this wagon building started, Zing."
Louisa started fishing out wood planks out of the pile and throwing them to the side where their workstation is going to be positioned. "You can get us four wheels maybe?" She said a bit breathlessly, never stopping as she said that.

Ooh. They needed handles too. "Let me get the handles." She giggled, running over and grabbing them, before dragging them back across. "Do we need anything else?"

YES. TEAM SLYTHERCLAW FTW!
Alright! looks like they got all their materials in front of them.
Vickers referred to his hastily written notes on the spells that the Professor said they will be using. The first one is for the sticking charm. Copying how the Professor demonstrated the wand movement, the Ravenclaw started practicing the charm "Adairo..." no that didnt sound right. "Ah-day-ro" he said again. Nahhh not really. He referred to his notes then saw the quick scribble he made for its pronuciation. Now he remembers! "Ahd-high-row" he utters, his wand hovering over the wheel. Suddenly the wheel flipped up and slapped itself onto the broad side of what would be the floor board rather oddly. An awkward wince crossed his features. Looks like he got the sticking charm right, but the attachment of the wheel was totally wrong.
He referred to his notes again and looked up the unsticking charm. "Aveh-kis" he uttered hovering his wand over the wheel. He tried pulling the wheel off but it wont budge. A puzzled look crossed his features "Why is it not unsticking?" he mumbled.
Yeah thats what crazy is, when its broken you say theres nothing to fix++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++And you pray that everything will be okay, while you're making all the same mistakes
Thanks to Louisa who keeps talking, Xing manages not to space out anymore. Louisa doesn't look like she enjoys being in this outfit. So does Xing. He might be merry at first, but it gets uncomfortable as time passes. But then she suddenly speaks something that he doesn't really uderstand. Xing stares clueless and innocently at her. "I am sorry, but I am new still in the U.K. My English is not good yet," he apologises in advance. He realises he should have confused many people with his poor English by now. The prefect bit misses him as something strikes his mind again and Xing's mind isn't there for the moment.
After he gets back to reality just in time as Louisa gives instructions, Xing nods, doing what has been told by the badge girl. His mum always told him to listen to people who wears badge because they are usually in charge. He looks for four wheels from the junk and afterwards, carries them to where Louisa is. "Here are the four wheels," says he as he drops them off onto the ground.
Penny looked around and couldn't believe what she was seeing. And she still didn't have a team! Sighing the Ravenclaw ran a hand through her hair and cast around. Maybe someone else still hadn't gotten a team together. This was totally unacceptable for a 'Claw.
"Does anyone not have a partner?" She drawled.
Oichi was a little startled hearing she would have to do yet another partner assignment where they choose the partner, Great, what did the professor expect, everyone has good freinds when they enter Hogwarts. That just is not so for a half blood who just discovered her powers. She felt distraught as she looked for a patner and and then her face lit up with a smile as she noticed a Ravenclaw girl right by her needed a partner. Granted shewas a bit older, but who cares. A partner is a partner. She turned to the girl ad said, "Hi, my name's Oichi and I don't have a partner either. Mind partnering with me?".

Oh. Great. She shrugged one shoulder as she put down the last wood piece, "It's alright. I'll try to speak more slowly for you." Yes? Yes. She pointed at the two wood planks she had on the floor and started talking, "So.. we have two walls, four wheels... we need a handle and a floor." She looked up at him and ordered asked, "Can you get a flat squared wood piece from over there?" She pointed at the pile nearby. "I'll get the handle and then hopefully we'll be able to stick everything together." Merlin help them who was going to pull whom later.
Louisa then knelt before the pile of items and started to look for the handle needed. All the time huffing and swearing under her breath whenever her shawl or flowy skirt got caught by something. Seriously, couldn't they just wear their usual uniforms while doing this building? Grabbing one of the handles, she stood back up and waited for Zing to do his part.

SPOILER!!: Vicky
Alright! looks like they got all their materials in front of them.
Watching the wheel jump up and attach itself made Dylan frown. The whole sticking-charm business left a sour taste in his mouth...There were just too many memories of him and his American friends playing pranks on each other associated with the said charm...Like the time Ryan used it to glue his feet to the floor in Transfiguration class.
He missed them. Really.
Shaking his head to clear his mind, Dylan offhandedly heard Vicky muttering the unsticking charm. The Slytherin frowned deeply. His pronunciation was off...The way the Professor had said the word implied their was a "W" in there...And the way his teammate was saying it...Well, he was sure the "V" was silent.
"I think you're putting too much emphasis on the "V"...I think it was more "we" instead of "ve""
"Base sorted?" he questioned.
That was true, but it was very nice hair. The nodding motion of her head as she agreed with him made her silvery highlights flicker again. And again when she nodded as Spike went to fetch what would soon be the floor.
Another flick of her wand and she'd already gathered those four wheels they needed. Were they even necessary? Because they could just Accio the cart from the finish line anyway, but the whole point of the activity would be lost. Activity. Why were they doing this in Divination to begin with?
Speaking of Accio'ing stuff...
...that handle over there would be a nice addition to their cart, or soon-to-be cart, but a swish of her wand solved that problem. Now they had four wheels, a handle...and...
THE FLOOR!
Kate smiled and nodded in approval, "Excellent!" he should pick those pieces, the wood ones, because he was pulling the cart...but, "And the little walls?" because it had to have some of that too, and it was better if they had everything in place to stick it all together...or most of the stuff anyway.
Why was she always the one left without a partner? or in this case, a team. It was starting to really stress her out. First Herbology, now Divination? Was there something seriously wrong with her?
"Does anyone else need another member?" Cass asked hopefully, looking around the place where the class was congregated and nervously waited for someone - anyone to take her in.
