Wonderful. Just wonderful. Aurora already felt ill and now she had to deal with this. Milton hadn't even reported her properly. She blamed Kennedy, of course. Milton would never have gone to a professor if he hadn't had his wand thrown in the lake...

She climbed the stairs to the owlery with some difficulty and entered the room wheezing slightly - stupid lungs. Eurgh it was horrible... And she got the feeling she wouldn't be allowed to use magic. Which was silly, considering Professor Lafay's concern for her spell work earlier...

She nodded respectfully at her head of house "Hello professor." and just stood there. Not wanting to touch any of it... Ach.

"Hello Miss Stewart-Quinn," she said nodding to the girl. "I hope you will work on your spellcasting... next time I would hope your victim would be too scared to come to report you." She smirked. "If Master Shacklebolt doesn't show... You may have to deal with my detention instead."


ooc: Hey sweety, because this is a detention not held in the detention forum, I'm going to ask that you not post anywhere else on the site until this is over.

Milton was smirking. Almost giddy even. Aurora was getting what she deserved today. Sort of. Milton wished there was more punishment, but whatever. This would suffice.

He was coming up to the owlery just as he heard Lafay say something if he didn't show up. He rounded the corner and entered the smelly room. "I'm here. Sorry for the wait, I was rummaging around in the kitchen for... these." Milton held up his hand that was holding an old, ragged towel and a bar of soap.

No magic. Bwahaha.

Milton crossed the room and handed Aurora his 'cleaning supplies'. "Since this is being held by me, you may only use your wand when getting your rag wet. No other magic is allowed." Milton turned to Lafay to see if she had any objections. Which, he really hoped she didn't.

"Master Shacklebolt." She said greeting the Ravenclaw. "I think I'll fill a bucket with water..." she said conjuring an old rusty bucket. She filled it with water, "Alright, Miss Stewart-Quinn... I'll take your wand." She said opening her hand waiting.

"Shacklebolt... have at her."

Working on her spell work was on her to do list. Because she didn't intend to miss next time. "I will professor." Though in all honesty, Milton wouldn't have reported her if it wasn't for the loss of his wand. That was what she thought anyway, and she was sticking by that... Oh. Well... if she was truthful she'd rather have Milton's detention than anything Professor Lafay could throw at her...

Aurora glared at Milton as he entered the room. Seriously, if looks could kill the boy would be a pile of ashes by now... She took the towel and soap from him without a word.

She could use her wand for water..? Hmm... Bad move, Shacklebolt. Because if he dropped his guard for a second when she had her wand in her hand he would be going downstairs on a stretcher. Aurora would take any amount of detentions for that... she wouldn't even care if she was expelled. She had been wanting to go home since she got back from Christmas...

But then...

Oh. So she wasn't allowed her wand. Great. She was a little hesitant about surrendering it but she was no match for Professor Lafay. And she probably never would be. She took it from its holster and placed it in her Head of House's hand.

Have at her... Yeah. Do your worst, Shacklebolt. Because you'll be lucky if you survive to do any more. She stood there in silence, waiting for him to speak. Come on, Lying Git. You're supposed to be leading this detention...

Oh, a bucket. "Brilliant." Lafay was better than he thought she was. And smart for taking Aurora's wand. Letting her keep it wouldn't have been very smart of him... Heh.

Milton smirked and tucked his hands into his pockets. Have at her. Oh, he would.

"I assume you know why you're here, Miss Stewart-Quinn," he began, slowly walking around the room as he waited for Aurora to begin her cleaning. "You broke the rules. Two times." It was probably considered 'unsupervised dueling' or something. So, one for the hex, one for the jinx. "Maybe even three if you count disarming me." Hm. Anyway. She broke the rules.

Milton cleared his throat and stopped walking, but kept his eyes on the redhead. "In order to... pay back for what you've done, you're not leaving this room until it's spotless. And I will happily wait here until you do so." Okay, maybe not happily. Depending on how long it took (he was rather impatient). But it was worth it to see her snobby, psycho self clean this room.

Hecate smirked. Milton was pushing it. He'd wait happily for her to do so? Funny. Hecate wasn't going to let him just walk away.

Aurora walked over to the bucket and dropped the soap and rag in it. Merlin she was so humiliated. "Actually I'm here because someone was too much of a coward to fight back. Or go for a swim." she muttered under her breath, her fingers burning with a desire to point her wand at him. But, luckily for him, Professor Lafay had taken it. Self-defense isn't considered rule breaking she added in her head. And she would stand by that - even though it wasn't self-defense and she knew it. It was so she could keep the upper hand.

Spotless. Right. Well... if Sage returned with Tor's letter any time soon then she'd direct him straight at Milton's eyes... Until then... She bent down next to the bucket and swirled the soap around into it... she wondered how much trouble she would get into if she just picked it up and dumped it over his head... especially if she waited until the water was dirty.

She wondered how they were going to get round the fact she was too short to reach a majority of the walls. Because she wasn't allowed to use her wand. As it was, she began scrubbing the wall next to the window. Maybe if she engineered his fall...

She was talking back to him. Luckily for her, he didn't understand what she said. "You should really speak up. Mumbling isn't very lady-like." Neither was cleaning owl droppings, but it had to be done. And she deserved it.

Milton crossed his arms over his chest and watched Aurora work. It was satisfying. He would probably get bored sooner or later, but at that moment it was satisfying to see his crazy ex-girlfriend clean poo off the walls and floors. Milton smirked and glanced at Lafay. She didn't seem opposed to anything yet...

"So, tell me..." he said to Aurora. "Do you think you deserve to be here? Cleaning?"

"I would watch how you answer that, Miss Stewart-Quinn," she said folding her arms over her chest. She was the one who put her in the detention.

She scowled at the wall, not turning to face him. "You should really be more polite, sarcasm isn't very gentlemanly." she retorted. She'd be ladylike when there was a gentleman around who deserved it. Though she got the feeling she should be a little more careful about her manners around Professor Lafay.

The owl droppings were coming off easier than she expected and she soon had a space about the size of her arm span cleared. Though that wasn't exactly saying much - she was little and her arm span wasn't that big.

She turned to look at Milton as he spoke again. Seriously, did he want to be here all night? Distracting her wasn't going to help. Oh... she thought very carefully for a second. "Yes." she said simply, turning back to the wall. "Because I missed." she added, resuming her cleaning.

Hecate quickly turned around to look out of the window.

There was nothing interesting there, but she couldn't help the smile and silent chuckle that came on her face when Aurora told him she deserved to be there because she missed! She just couldn't let the boy see that.

Turning back to the students Hecate addressed the boy. "Shacklebolt. I'm giving you a golden opportunity here. Is this really the best you can do?" She said looking at the girl. "She doesn't have a wand and you do."

Milton just rolled his eyes. Again. No one ever said he was a gentleman. Pff.

Well, this wasn't going as well as he had hoped. He really didn't even know what to say to her. So, when Lafay made her comment, Milton got frustrated. "Well, my apologies." Sarcasm. "But I've never held a detention before, I don't know what to do."

And, yeah, he had a wand and she didn't... Milton stared in confusion. "What, do you want me to hang her from the ceiling or something?" It was a joke, but it would actually be quite amusing... But he had no idea what Lafay was trying to get at.

Hecate rolled her eyes. "Master Shacklebolt. Wand out please." She said teaching.

She waited until he was following her. "Aim at the... owl.. dung... and cast the Expulso charm. You HAVE learned the Expulso ch-" She shook her head. "Nevermind, it's left strike and jab." She made a striking movement to the left and then jabbing movement and said "Expulso!"

The dung began to bubble and exploded in front of the Slytherin girl. "Expulso uses pressure to make the explosion, as opposed to Confringo, which uses heat. So now you try Master Shaklebolt."

Aurora SCOWLED at the floor as she re-wet her rag and went back to scrubbing at a wall. She'd be lying if she said she wasn't amused by the way Professor Lafay was talking to Milton... hehe.

But then...

WHAT? NOT FAAIIIRRRR!!!!! MILTON WAS SUPPOSED TO BE RUNNING THIS BY HIMSELF. PROFESSOR LAFAY WAS ONLY SUPPOSED TO CARE ABOUT HER SPELLWORK!!! MILTON WASN'T IN HER HOUSE. NOT FAIR NOT FAIR NOT FAIRRRRR!!!!!! Aurora managed not to even make a noise though and kept her lips pursed, managing to clear a particularly difficult patch before she heard Professor Lafay mention... expulso? It didn't register fast enough for her to move but she managed to shield her face as the droppings in front of her exploded. Eurgh... why did detentions with Prof. Lafay have to end so... messily?

She quickly wiped away the newly exploded droppings before they dried and rinsed her cloth... hmm. Exploding them seemed to actually help... hehehe.

Was Lafay EVER in a good mood? Sheesh.

Milton got his wand out. And... Pff. "Of course I know the Expulso charm." He wasn't an idiot. HMPH.

Milton watched as the owl poo exploded in Aurora's face. He smirked. Oh, this was fun. Pointing it to a spot right next to Aurora's hand, Milton striked his wand to the left and then jabbed the air with it. "Expulso!" He watched as it bubbled and... BOOM!

POO. ALL OVER.

"Hey, 'Rora, I think you missed a spot." Cackle. He could be so immature sometimes. Heheh.

Hecate watched as the girl as she continued to clean... and the boy as he was enjoying the detention... "Alright, Miss Stewart-Quinn. Your wand is now on the nightstand by your bed in the Slytherin dormitories. Hit the showers before you tough anything..." She said and gave a nod. "I trust you've learned your lesson."

She then turned to the boy, "I hope you are satisfied Master Shacklebolt. Unless you have questions, you are dismissed as well."

Hecate watched as the girl as she continued to clean... and the boy as he was enjoying the detention... "Alright, Miss Stewart-Quinn. Your wand is now on the nightstand by your bed in the Slytherin dormitories. Hit the showers before you tough anything..." She said and gave a nod. "I trust you've learned your lesson."

She then turned to the boy, "I hope you are satisfied Master Shacklebolt. Unless you have questions, you are dismissed as well."

Finished. Great. Aurora tipped her bucket over to rinse the floor and deliberately aimed it in Milton's direction, making sure it missed Professor Lafay. Ahem.

Right. Showers, then wand. "I have." Yep. Don't miss next time. Hehehe. She turned and walked to the door. "See you in class, professor." she said, leaving the owlery and heading for the shower.
