Winter was setting in to the grounds and with it came a whole new set of responsibilities for taking care of the growing dragon known as Roro. Dragons were wild creatures and by nature liked to have free roam of wherever they were living; however, having a dragon at an educational institution meant that Professor Williamson had to take certain safety precautions when getting said dragon ready for winter.
Today, he had set up the barn for an afternoon full of work; the students didn't know it yet, but they were all going to be acting as dragonologists in training today. First things first though, they had to get here, and Willy had to finish setting up.
Sitting just outside the barn door was a horseshoe-shaped assortment of hay bales, all of which had been charmed to feel as though one was sitting on a sun-warmed rock. Inside the open barn, and just visible to those sitting on the hay bales, was a giant, emptybaby pool and something that looked like a big harness....
No professor was in sight though. While you wait for class to start, why not take a seat and at least keep your bum warm?

Ella let herself be pulled along by Roro, who now seemed really interested in a hay bale. When he bit it and made the extremely loud sound, Ella cupped her hand over the ear closest to the dragon's mouth. "Merlin's beard, Roro! You must really love hay bales!" She said, amused. Dragons were quite loud, huh? Especially when you were standing so close to them!
The second year agreed with Sophie's suggestion that there might be something behind the hay bale. "I think Sophie might be right about that." She said with a nod. "Or else he'll eat hay bales but...well they don't look very appetizing!" Imagine eating hay! Who does that? ...Well okay, maybe horses but still! Roro was a dragon. A DRAGON!
Ella watched curiously as Roro continued to try and move around the hay bales. "I wonder if he wants to be a dragon interior designer?" She said thoughtfully to her group members. What did dragon homes look like anyway? She'd have to add that to her list of questions about dragons!

Hearing what Daichi had to said, she leaned over a bit towards the younger Slytherin and lowered her voice. "Daichi, remember, animals can sense emotions sometimes. You see it in dogs and cats especially. If you don't trust it...it doesn't trust you and...well, sometimes problems can happen." She hadn't meant that as a threat or anything, she had been rather matter of fact in her tone to be honest and was simply stating things from observation. "Just remember Professor Willamson is right over there," she continued, pointing towards the man that was now...filling the pool with baby oil? Interesting... "He will make sure that Roro doesn't get hurt."
Because that is where Kurumi's focus was right now, on the baby dragon and what potential harm could come to him with so many student hands handling him and not the other way around.
"I am sure Roro likes you, what isn't to like?" she asked rhetorically, looking back at the dragon and then shooting Sierra a quick glare. Way to insult the baby dragon...Kurumi was pretty sure if Roro was going to nip at anyone it was going to be her. Kurumi ignored the feeding comment, Sierra could say what she wanted to about Kurumi, it was all sticks and stones to her now. Besides, she was sure it was just Sierra's awkward way of extending the hand of friendship. YAY!
Looking back at the group, who all had their hands on the leash now, right? "Well, it is all up to you now, Roro," Kurumi chirped.

Kurumi couldn't help but awe when he tucked his not so ickle wings back to his sides and began to walk forward. Kurumi matched his pace and giggled when he made the world's most adorable toot noise. "Aw, see, he likes us," Kurumi beamed at her teammates as her pace sort of turned into a slow skip. How many people could say that they had walked a dragon?! This was incredible! Kurumi made her own little toot noise back.

"EORK!" the dragon squawked loudly, turning one of his bright, black eyes on the assembled baby hoomans. Were they gonna plaaaaaay now?
Then the dragon began to thump its tail onto the groun. He swallowed the lump that had jammed inside his throat. This was not his class today. Sure the dragon wasn't a full grown dragon but it was still one none the less.
SPOILER!!: Gideon and Gryffindor Team
Speaking of the professor, Williamson sought to gather their attention once more so they could each have their turn taking care and walking the large baby dragon. So they waited as a few of the other teams went before turning to his own group and finally there was an opening. "Shall we..." he said leading them over to Roro. The sixth year careful not to move too quickly or surprise the dragon as he moved not wanting to freak him out and cause any trouble
Tag followed his lead. The prefect was the oldest and wisest of them. Slowly, he walked around the dragon and hesitantly gently grabbed the leash. He looked at Anya, since she had said something about wanting to hold it too. So, without making sudden motions he grabbed the leash and said in a quiet but strained voice, "Err..RoRo, my friends and I are gonna walk you now..Err, umm, Anya and I..we'll uhhh.. hold the leash.." He gave the others a funny expression that he hoped to be terrified but looked more comedical.Hopefully, Tag had the sense to not lose his intelligence today. Which slowly seemed to be drifting from him the longer he stood in the dragon's presence.

Seriously. There was no downside to this lesson.
Anya smiled at Tag and went over to hold the leash with him. Since... there were only four parts, two of them had to share. And... Anya was going to share with Tag. She made sure that she stepped between him and the dragon. You know... since there was no bad side to the lesson, she didn't really care if she got attacked or whatever.
"I'm ready." she said looking at the others.

Or not quite yet because the professor talked for a little bit first. THEN it was time for the dragon.
But they didn't go first, which Penelope might've preferred so they could go ahead and get it over with, but she didn't care enough to say anything about it. They wouldn't have to wait long anyway, right? Right. Because now it seemed it was their turn.
She followed Gideon, Anya, and Tag over to the dragon, picking up one of the spare leashes. Then she looked over at their fifth group member. "C'mon, Zack," she said. He seemed to be the only one who hadn't grabbed a leash yet, and they couldn't do it if one leash wasn't held by someone.
...Or could they?
His hand securely holding one of the leases, Gideon was ready for their turn walking the dragon, giving the creature a nice pet on his back when he was close enough. The prefect watched as each of his group joined him around Roro, noticing some were more hesitant in the venture then others. "Don't worry Tag..." he said to the boy who was stumbling over words as he spoke with their charge, "nothing to stress over." Giving Anya a smile and a nod as she said she was ready. he was about to nudge Zack however Penelope beat him to it so he opted for a simple encouraging smile at the younger boy and hopefully he would take the leap and come closer to take part.

To the hoomans, it probably looked like Roro was stomping and dragging them along at a ridiculous pace, but to Roro, this was FUN. Wasn't this FUN, going on a walk, hoomans? WAS THIS NOT FUN?
They didn't have much time to dwell on the issue though for Roro the dragon made his own decisions and timeline to go along with and the humans just had to go with it. The creature began pulling them along and Gideon couldn't help but feel grateful for his long-legged stride. He couldn't imaging how the younger members of his group would or were faring. "Whoa Roro...easy there," he said giving a gentle but firm tug of his leash to try and see if he could calm or slow the dragon down even a little.

Minerva heard the group talking and being amazed at Roro and of course they were amazed at him, he was a brilliant not so little dragon. After his little drink of water he began moving again, Minerva steadied her leash trying to keep her balance since the little one was super strong. They went to the hey bales and he started to nudge one. She looked at the others "Does he want to sit? Maybe he watched us sitting on them and wants to try." She joked with the group. She couldn't help but laugh at how fun it was to watch Roro nudging the hay.

"Dude," she said, looking over at him as he was beginning a panic attack, or so it seemed. "He can't really understand English." Hollingberry's just an idiot. "I think we're fine." She gestured toward the dragon. "Besides, he's wagging his tail like some faithful cruppie. I don't think he hates anybody." Not right now, at least.
Sierra's head turned sharply toward Mordred. "Don't tell me you're scared of the little dragon, too?" Sierra asked. What was UP with the males in Slytherin house?! MAN UPPPPP! "Look on the bright side. If he looks like he might start to eat one of us, we've got a whole Gryffindor to feed him." She gestured toward Kurumi with a smirk. Then lightening her expression a bit, she added, "Just kidding." Heh.
She tightened her grip on the leash, just in case Roro decided to run off. Was he going to walk now?!
Mordred nodded back at Daichi who seemed to be calming down a bit now. He was pretty sure that things will go smoothly with their team. As long as the two girls don’t start bickering. Mordred had to admit that he was more scared of Kurumi and Sierra fighting / pointing wands at each more than Roro. Girls. Tsk.
Frowning at Sierra’s remark, the boy just stared at her. “I’m not scared. I’m just being careful.” And he thought that Slytherins were known for that. It may look like he was scared, but he’d rather be than to be eaten alive by a baby dragon—if it was possible.

Everything was going smoothly until he heard a TOOT sound. Mordred gave Roro a disgusted look and started to snigger. “What did you eat last night, Roro?” Cause yes, his fart kinda stinks. Roro was gonna try it anyway. He popped open his wings and started to more or less dragon!jog.
Roro seemed to be walking all calmly and enjoying the walk, when suddenly Jory noticed he seemed to be picking up the pace. His wings even opened up. "Nerida!" Jory called trying not to panic. "Roro's moving quicker!'' He hurried off to see if she needed help.

Alyssa moved closer to see what RoRo was doing. Still holding on to the harness leash, Alyssa looked to see why RoRo was nudging the hay."Hey RoRo what are you planning on doing?"Alyssa said into his ear. "Do you want help moving these bales of hay? Are they in your way?" Alyssa gingerly stroked the baby dragon on his neck.
Aww hoomans were petting him! Roro liked that. He slowed down, his eyes twinkling, and made a happy!baby sound like he a... dragon purr?
Then he sat down and started scratching at the harness on his back, wiggling his but and bum as he tried to reach a leg back to scratch it. "EAWWWWWK," Roro squawked, hoping one of the nice hoomans would scratch it!
As Chelle was petting him, Roro suddenly seemed to slow down. Chelle stopped, too. Then he made a weird sound. A soft, slow sound... Well, as soft as a dragon could get. Chelle looked at Roro.
Is he... purring? And is he purring because he... likes me?
Chelle grinned and was about to resume her walk when Roro plopped down on the ground. He began to scratch his back and he wiggled his bum. Chelle giggled. It looked funny, and awfully cute. Well, as cute as a dragon could get, again.
Now this is something you never get to see in the Muggle world.
Roro squawked. At first, Chelle thought he was tired of walking, and he just wanted to rest for a while. But then she slowly realised that he was trying to reach his bum. "Oh my gosh, Vickers, he wants us to scratch his butt for him!" she exclaimed as realisation dawned on her. Then she looked at Vickers and then at Sylvia. Her expression was clear. She wouldn't be the one to scratch his bum.
Awesome! So they can pet the dragon. He nodded his head happily and bent down to pat the youngling gently on its side, somewhere between its spine and the ribcage "Hey there Roro..." he cooed, making sure to keep his movements smooth and at the open, trying to avoid any action or sounds that it could make the dragon frightened or defensive.
As he stood up he watched Silvia regard Roro with similar gentle fashion. "Good... thats how you do it. Have you ever worked with animals before?" he asked curiously. He glanced at Chelle when she asked the question, and realized she wasnt quite as comfy with the whole set-up as they did "Sure, I dont mind." he nodded then gave the younger Claw a reassuring smile "Dont worry, being calm and friendly will give off the vibes that we mean it no harm and he can trust us."
Turning his attention back to the dragon he gripped the end of the leash tightly in his hand, but made sure the rest of the leash was pretty lax before clicking his tongue and said "Lets go Roro."
Silvia nodded. "My family has an owl, and we've had dogs before," she said in response to his question, as she petted Roro on the back. She made sure she had a good grip on the leash as they got started.

Okaaaaay. The dragon wanted them to do what?! Well, it wasn't like they weren't wearing their dragonhide gloves, because they were; it was just...awkward. Very awkward. Silvia looked towards Chelle, and could tell immediately that she wasn't going to do it. She glanced at Vickers. He was older, and a boy, so maybe he wouldn't mind as much? Silvia waited to see what his reaction would be. If she had to she would do it, but would rather not if she could avoid it.

And just like that, he was partnered with Oichi. He didn't mind it now at all, as long as he got to be next to Kennedy. Maybe.
Stella hid the grin that threatened to appear on her face as she watched João intentionally make sure he got the leash closest to the one Kennedy had kept for himself. Especially as, given the prefect's position close to Roro trying to get the dragon's trust, that meant the other Slytherin was also putting himself at least a fraction closer to the dragon than she was, or Addie was. Not to mention it sort of segregated their group. Minus Oichi being paired with João, all the girls were on one side of Roro and the boys on the other. She was fine with that, and just made the decision that she'd make sure Lily and Addie were safe, while Kennedy could do the same with the rest of their group, and she returned Lily's smile as the younger girl took the leash a little bit in front of her at the end.
Then Roro had started to walk, and the smile on her face grew some at how cute he wasbeing. It was almost like the dragon was parading around, showing just how good he could be if he wanted. And maybe showing just the tiniest of egos, but on the creature it was cute. It was a whole lot cuter on him than it was people, at least, and she just paced herself to the dragon's movements. Plus, she smiled again as Lily, still in front of herself, had started cooing at Roro, which was also rather adorable. As long as things stayed like this, calm and, dare she say, stately, she decided she'd be able to handle this walk.

Walking a dragon was scary wondered if anything out go wrong, but other wise amazing! Looking up at Roro Angelina smiled. She continued to walk with Nerida and asked, '"Have you ever done this before?"
Angelina was a bit worried if Roro would do something off the wall but so far nothing has gone wrong and all was good. Looking over at Jory while Nerida asked when a good time to switch would be, she spoke up and said, "You can switch any time you feel like it." Angelina could see the look in his eye that he wanted to any ways.

Roro was gonna try it anyway. He popped open his wings and started to more or less dragon!jog.

As Narumi came to her and her group Nerida answered Sure why not theres only three of us! Looking down at Roro she said This is Narumi. also for the other members of her group to hear as well.Nerida looked at Angelina a tiny bit confused Walk a dragon before? Never! But its really fun! Hearing Angelina's response to her question she responded That sounds good. Nerida said Yeah thanks Jory, Professor Williamson would kill us if we did that!
It took Nerida a minute to register what exactly just happened. Roro wanted to run... She laughed and said Thanks Jory, here why dont you take it, he seems to want to go faster! She passed the leash over to Jory and waited to see if he was going to go fast with Angelina or maybe Narumi would get it and then Roro would be happy...

It must be the same logic. You gotta show them that you're fearless. Then they don't act suspicious around you and they adore you instead.
Taking a deep breath, she stroked Roro's back as gently and smoothly as she could. It almost felt like he was just a normal animal in the Muggle world. That made her feel a lot better. She felt a smile forming on her lips.
Okay, bro, let's do this.
She held the leash tightly and waited behind Vickers. Oh yes, he would be leading. But she planned to walk the dragon too, along with Sylvia. From behind Vickers.

Then he sat down and started scratching at the harness on his back, wiggling his but and bum as he tried to reach a leg back to scratch it. "EAWWWWWK," Roro squawked, hoping one of the nice hoomans would scratch it!

Is he...

He turned to little Roro and grinned with what did sound like a dragon purr. Oh she wanted to scratch the spot beneath her harness? He looked up at the girls looking a little unsure "Just do it like this..." he said as he lifted the harness on Roro's back just enough to squeeze his gloved hands in and scratched that spot "Does that feel good boy?"

Unless both of them wanted to be in the group, and well that was ok too.
Anyway whatever, Desiree was just excited to walk the dragon! The girl introduced herself as Laura, "It's nice to meet you Laura." She smiled, the Hufflepuff seemed nice. And she couldn't help but laugh a little when Zhenya was freaking out, but she smiled reassuringly to her friend and agreed with Laura, "Yeah, don't worry, of course you can do it Zhenya, I won't let the little dragon hurt you." She stood by her, if the dragon wanted to hurt her friend, it was going to have to go through her. But she was sure Roro wasn't going to hurt anyone..
Like Laura said, it'd be exactly like walking a dog. Well... maybe not exactly. She eyed the little dragon and wondered what to do first. It was their turn so she hesitantly approached him, "Hi Roro.. We're going to take you on a walk now, is that ok?" she picked up one of the leashes and waited for Zhenya and Laura to do the same. How hard could it be?

He wasn't about to ignore being called a DOG though.
Swishing his tail back and forth dangerously, Roro waited until all the kids in this group had a leash. And then he took off, pulling them along and showing off the power of his muscles. He may be small, but he sure was mighty. And he didn't take to being called a low DOG easily.

Laura picked up the lead, when suddenly Roro was pulling them. "Wooooooooo Boy, Woooooooooo I have some doggy treats in my bag if you behave." Laura smiled, she hadn't realised that was what had upset Roro. "See Zhenya this is just like walking a dog." Laura looked around whilst trying to hold on. "All you have to do is hold on and eventually he'll realise you aren't going to be moved." Laura smiled. "Come on Roro there's a good boy calm down." Laura was hoping to get the dragon to calm down.
DOG? Zhenya eyed Laura and said "I can't... he looks like a dragon. And I'd... a dog that size I'd be very scared of." She stood behind Laura and prodded her softly in the back, an attempt to make her see that Zhenya was not going first.
Zhenya smiled at Desiree's encouraging words. Okay... you can do this. She nodded at the group and slowly, and very nervously, approached Roro and grabbed one of the leashes. Every slight move made her jump and almost drop the leash. She just needed to harden up, so she took a deep breath in and out and decided she was going to be confident.
But this? TAIL SWOOSHING? Being PULLED along by a Dragon? This was all too much! "LAURAwhydidyoucallthedragonaDOG?" she screamed as she tried to keep up with Roro, being half dragged, and half running herself, trying to keep herself on her feet. She was terrified! If she let go, what would happen? She didn't want to know. "Just stop calling IT A DOG!" Zhenya told Laura, fear slightly bubbling up. Dog treats? She wasn't sure if she wanted to Laugh or cry.

Sylvia's had dogs before? Awwwwww. Chelle pouted as she thought about having dogs as pets. She'd always wanted a dog. And she was so good with them! But because of her useless mother, Chelle decided they couldn't handle a dog.

She continued to hold on to the leash, allowing Roro to investigate whatever it was he was now interested in, wondering what was so cool about a hay bale.
"Do you guys think that he wants to play fetch or something?" Ella asked sheepishly. "Erm-not that we could throw the haybales or anything but..." What exactly did dragons do for fun? Eating dead ferrets didn't exactly seem like a good time to Ella so she wondered if there was something Professor Williamson did to keep the little guy entertained.

Oh, look at that! It was their turn now. GOOD. She didn't like waiting around on a creature. Then finally, they were off. Sierra thought this was just stupid, but regardless, if she'd earn credit for it, she'd do it. So she held on to the leash and followed suit. She felt like one of those muggle kids on a pony ride, the kind of ride that just went around and around and around in circles. La, la, la... Was anything exciting supposed to happen?

"R-right.." Daichi answered but still looked a bit warily. He loosened the leash he was holding though and then let out a half giggle half snort. Faithful Cruppie, heh.
Daichi frowned a little as Sierra asked Mordred if he was scared of the dragon *too*. Was she saying what he thought she was saying? "H-hey! i-i'm not scared of the d-dragon!" hmm yeah the stutter didn't really help didn't it? But he was telling the truth. He wasn't scared of the dragon but what dragons could do. Breathe fire and the only reason why he was being so timid was because he was afraid the creature would set fire to the whole place...
Daichi shivered at his own thoughts when he heard the joke about feeding kurumi to the dragon. For the first time since the lesson, Daichi's eyes fixed directly at Sierra and he tried to give her a glare. Which obviously failed and he just looked funny, but at least he was trying. "That is not funny" he said clearly and without a stutter this time. He didn't say more though because she IS his Prefect and they were both on the Quidditch team.
Sierra passed a smirk in Daichi's direction. "Of course you're not scared of the baby dragon," she said, still smirking. Honestlly? Was Daichi a Slytherin...or a Puffer Boy? She tried to laugh it off when Daichi said feeding Kurumi to the dragon wasn't funny. "Relax. I was only joking." Although, if Roro starting snapping, Sierra surely wouldn't throw herself forward first.

Frowning at Sierra’s remark, the boy just stared at her. “I’m not scared. I’m just being careful.” And he thought that Slytherins were known for that. It may look like he was scared, but he’d rather be than to be eaten alive by a baby dragon—if it was possible.
Sierra just nodded at Mordred. Careful was a much better word for a Slytherin to use. ...and on that note, they were still off on their little walk with the dragon. Still holding onto the leash, Sierra followed suit.

Walking a baby dragon didn't seem too hard; so far it seemed they were getting along with Roro alright.

Still watching Roro nudging the hay bale, Sophie just listened as her fellow group members talked, but when Ella gave the play fetch idea she looked up at her with her eyebrows raised.
"What?? I don't think we could play fetch with a dragon!" Even if it was a baby dragon... if Sophie had almost fallen down when it tugged them, imagine if it started running after a stick or whatever. "I think we're good just walking it..." Calmly.
She glanced at professor Williamson and the... bathtub? Pool? Maybe that was what entertained Roro? Playing in the pool? Sophie still couldn't imagine a dragon swimming or taking a bath. That was just too weird!
Nigel was just watching Roro move the bale of hay when he heard the idea of playing fetch with him. Nigel did not think Roro would like it if we treated him like a dog. "Guys I don't think playing fetch is a good idea. Roro is an awesome dragon not a dog." He went down to pet the awesome Roro. "Um should we move the bale back or let Roro keep on moving it?".

Ella smirked when her group mates responded that it wasn't a good idea to play fetch with a dragon. Of course it wasn't! That's not how she meant it to come out! "I agree guys, I don't think we should play fetch with him! I mean...he'll just fly away or something!" And then Professor Williamson will kill or send us to jail or something! O__O "I was only wondering what he's trying to do with the hay bales. Maybe he thinks they are some kind of erm-dragon toy?" She added with a shrug.
When Nigel asked if they should let the dragon keep moving the hay bale, Ella replied. "I guess it doesn't hurt anyone that he's doing it so I'd leave him be for a little while longer." She suggested with a smile. "Roro, you want to keep moving these for a bit longer?" She asked the dragon cheerfully.

Reason: I can't spell apparently...
Addie was super excited to be walking the dragon at last. She reached out and patted little Roro's head. The dragon didn't seem to be doing any harm so far, and hopefully if it got harmful it wouldn't go for Addie. But, Roro seemed to be doing good and walking around, or strutting around if a dragon could strut.
That baby dragon seemed to have quite a personality of its own, if Addie could hear what it was saying it would probably be saying that it was the king of the world. Yeah that dragon seemed to have a big personality in Addie's mind. Addie patted the dragon a little more before asking it, "Enjoying your walk Roro?" Yeah the dragon probably didn't understand, but did that matter to Addie. NO! Addie was just having a good time walking the dragon.
