On the darkest of dark nights, down the rolling, phthalo green hills of Hogwarts, at the extreme back of the barnyard, in what used to be an old winged horse stall with no door and is now a converted fireplace..... lies one very shiny, very large egg-like object.
The object seems to be giving off an incredible amount of heat and occasionally quivers to and fro as the flames lick the sides of the cauldron it sits in. What is it, you wonder? You seem to be half-hypnotized by the shady, crackling, almost bubbling object; you hardly even notice the absence of the hay bales where you usually sit. In fact, there doesn't seem to be ANYWHERE to sit.
So you stand, shifting awkwardly from foot to foot, and waiting for more directions from Professor Williamson, who IS sitting, on a little metal stool, his back to the arriving class.
Oichi noticed the egg start to fidget even more and smiled. The little baby dragon was gonna show his little face in no time. Oichi smiled and excepted a form of tea the professor offered. She took a sip and quickly put it down and swallowed the gross liquid. Why could he not do hot chocolate, oh well. She then heard the professor ask another question and Oichi got a little closer to the fire and started to skim her book and then responded, "I can't find a dragon egg that specifically light green egg in the book. The norwegian ridgeback comes close but that is brown with green stripes. The peruvian vioer tooth and the longhoen romanian are close cousins of the norwegian ridgeback but niethers egg color is mentioned. I would guess it is one of those 2 or a hybrid. Regardless I am sure the little one will be adorable", Oichi ended with a smile.

Well, he got in in Norway, so it had to be a Norwegian something. Flipping open the textbook, she narrowed her search down to Norwegian dragons with green eggs. Raising her hand, she checked her textbook one last time before answering.
"Is it the Norwegian Longhorn, professor?" she asked before her attention shifted to the soft crack she heard. It's cracking!
THERE WAS A BABY DRAGON COMING OUT! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

SPOILER!!: My Lovely Colleagues
When William DID return from....wherever he'd gone, he was carrying one pail with sand in it and one pail with some sort of thick, smelly, reddish liquid in it. The students in the front row would probably cover their noses at the smell but Willy, having made it hundreds of times, was immune to its stench.
Once he had set his materials down and had tossed the damp sand on the fire, he suited up in his long, dark, thick fireproof dragonhide gloves, quite proud that he'd remembered to put on fireproof EVERYTHING when he'd gotten dressed this morning.
Carefully, very, very carefully, the professor removed the cauldron from the heat source and set it down on the ground, still a ways away from his captive (?) audience. He then picked up a giant pair of tongs from behind the cauldron and took the egg out from it, carefully setting it down on the ground between the cauldron and the first row of students. That done, he removed his gloves and tucked them into the back pocket of his pants, then walked away again and came back with a simple cardboard box.
"All righty then, those of you who are still finishing up your drawings, feel free to do so. Those of you who are finished, sit tight for a just a moment. We'll resume in a second."
Then he went over to Callie and Medea, who were both looking to be in a rather good humor, and both of whom would helpfully assist him with what he asked of them. After a hurried, whispered conversation, Willy then went over to the guys and Isabelle.
"Thanks for coming, Olly, Isabelle, and....." he was surprised to see this one, "Dash." William nodded at them all. "If you guys want to er, conjure up chairs or stools or something, that'd be cool. Please just keep your eyes and ears on the egg and your uh, wands at the ready. I'm just gonna..." he gestured toward the front of the room.
Finish class. Yeah. That.
On his way back to the cauldron and the egg, William stopped by the Hufflepuff who had apparently been trying to get his attention earlier.
"Uh, well, Laura, if you don't want to draw, then you don't have to." He shrugged. "Homework and participation is always optional, you know, it's just up to you whether or not you want to pass or fail."
He smirked a bit and then continued on to the front of the room. Why was this child even ASKING about drawing? Even from his vantage point at the front, he could see plenty of drawings that were hardly of professional quality. She shouldn't feel alone, honestly, all artists start somewhere!
--------------------------------
Now back by the cauldron and the quivering egg, which seemed to be quaking as if under great pressure. William started laying out a few other eggs from his box, lining them all up from biggest to smallest behind HIS egg. He laid out a big, but not BIGBIG, ostrich egg, then a regular chicken egg, then a tiny, foil-wrapped chocolate candy egg.
Taking a step back, the professor beamed around at the class and clasped his hands loosely behind his back. "Welcome to Care of Magical Creatures. Heh. I have to say, from the drawings I've seen, you ALL have a bright future as magizoologists one day." He smiled and took a step to the side so that everyone could clearly see the eggs.
"First things first: What in Merlin's beard did I just have you draw? Take a guess, based on the size comparisons of MY egg to these other eggs. Try to be as specific as possible with your educated guess."
OOC: don't tell me WHY you think the egg is whatever it is, just tell me WHAT you think it is. ;-)

After hoisting the tray above her head like a good waitress would, Callie began to walk around the group of students pondering the question that Willy had just asked them. "Does anyone want some dragon fruit slices." She held out a few for them to take if they wanted.
Wait....did someone say Dragon Egg?!

"Here you go Miss." Calista dropped some fruit into the girl's hand and continued to search the room for others who may be in need of some dragon fruit slices. This hot barn would surely be making their mouth's dry.
The next kid to ask her for some fruit got a look before she handed it over. It was one of the boys from Miss Fanster's group in her Divination lesson who had somehow gotten their wagon in the tree.
"Here you go dear." Don't throw it in a tree.

Although some of you identified it easily enough and were spot-on with your assumption, others of you were... a little off. Could you IMAGINE a giant salamander egg? Creepy.
"So let's talk about how you identify a dragon egg if you have one." The quaking sounds behind William grew a little louder and the first faint fissures appeared on the surface of the light green egg. "First things first. if possible, measure it!" He flicked his wand and a little tapeworm-like measuring tape sprang out, instantly crawling all around the egg and measuring things.
"Second off, if you can't measure it, do a side-by-side comparison with something that you CAN measure, like this ostrich, chicken, and chocolate egg!" Speaking of the chocolate egg.... he walked over to it and picked it up, unwrapping it and popping it into his mouth.
Chewing around the chocolate, William continued. "Third, get out your nearest reference book and try to figure out its species by the color, texture, and size of the egg! This will also help you figure out how to take care of it and how to prepare yourself for the hatching, as some breeds breathe fire sooner than others."
He nodded around at them all, sincerely hoping that they were being good little children and were taking notes. That way, he'd look extra awesome in front of his coworkers. "This breed, though, does not. Knowing that I, your professor, used to work on a Romanian dragon sanctuary, and knowing that we have a light green sort of egg here, what sort of breed do you think this one is?"

Goodness...Bouncing kid. "Of course." she chuckled quietly, handing Prue one of the cups of tea she held.
Glancing towards the egg, there was a momentary pause before she went back to serving the drinks. "Here you go, Miss Lecium." she said quietly with a smile, handing the girl one of the cups she held.
Back to egg watching!
Orrr...she could watch the egg later.
"Sure thing." she nodded, scooting around a few of the other students to get where Jezzabelle sat. "Here you go." Reaching over, she held out one of the cups of tea for the Gryffindor girl to take.
It was a shame the real groundskeeper was missing this. Waylon lived on the grounds, where was he?
Noticing the hand being raised, Medea maneuvered her way around a few other students before reaching Isaac. Well, since he said so nicely, she handed him one of the cups of tea. Hehe.
And another raised hand.
"There is plenty." she grinned as she spoke quietly, reaching over to hand Alyssa one of the cups she held. Although, she'd have to go back and pour some more. Who knew so many kids actually liked tea?
This was the last cup she held for now.
"Of course." she said, handing the last cup over to Jory before making her way back over to the corner of the barn to pour some more. All the while listening to the lesson.
So it WAS a dragon egg!!
Glancing over to where it sat in comparison to the ostrich and chicken eggs, the pouring of tea was forgotten for the time being as she was too interested in the lesson. And the egg was moving. Ohhh would you look at that!
Did the egg just crack!?
This was so worth the lack of sleep for....
SPOILER!!: Massive DYLAN - catching up...
Dylan was still in that place where he wasn't trying to eyeball the egg too much. Something just felt off about this entire thing...and the fact that it was in the dead of night with all the Professors coming out in Spades...Something big was about to happen.
Wait. Wasn't that the Divination Professor who'd just stepped into the barn?
The Slytherin felt a little indifferent towards her...The fiasco with the runaway cart in Divi hadn't exactly been her fault...Nor had it been her fault he'd broken two bones...It just told him that her lessons were entirely too dangerous. It was probably a good thing that his parents didn't get too involved where school was concerned. His mama would of had a heart attack/stroke had she known about the Infirmary visit...
Professor Romanos was here, too?!
Then Professor Williamson was appearing and speaking quietly to the two lady!Teachers...and they were moving forward towards a refreshment table he hadn't noticed before.
Tea and fruit? Why yes...Dylan raised his hand, hoping they might see him even though it was darker than American tea out...
Wait! Had it just...cracked?
IT WAS HATCHING?!
...IN A BARN...made of WOOD?
His eyes snapped to each individual Professor before settling back on Professor Williamson. This guy was a lunatic! Was that the reason for the makeshift Teacher Party?
Trying not to think about the potential fiery death they all might endure, Dylan had to admit that Dragons were pretty awesome. He'd never seen one in person before...much less seen one hatch. There just wasn't a lot of good places for them to live where he was from...
Gah, he hoped everyone was wearing fireproof things. He side/eyed his peers surrounding him. He wanted to ask to double check, his nervousness climbing up his throat...but that might have seemed too Hufflepuffish of him. Besides, the Professor had mentioned it beforehand. If they weren't wearing the required gear, whose fault was it really? Their own? Or the older students for not babysitting?
Just saying...
Had he just mentioned notes?...Erm...
Having forgotten his actual notebook, he grabbed some loose parchment and his quill, jolting down what the man had been talking about. There was some discussion going on...but nothing for Dylan to really contribute. It seemed everyone in the small space knew about Dragons and their eggs...Although, there had been so many hints and clues leading up to...
SPOILER!!: Dylan's Parchment
COMC Lesson 1: Dragon Eggs
How do you identify a Dragon Egg?
1. Measure it.
2. Side-by-side comparison
3. Color, texture, and size (according to a reference book)
Gryffie♥ | Disney DORK | Brittana | Mrs Kellan Lutz | I like Your Moves!
Cocking her head to the side, Thea watched the eggas it cracked. Ooh, was it going to hatch?! Right now.. in here?? That would be BRILLIANT. Thea liked dragons..
Scribbling down some notes, she craned her neck to listen to some of the guesses about what the egg was. She was personally hoping it WAS a Dragon egg.
Pushing her notes and drawing away from her, Thea sat back and simply stared at the egg. Willing it to hatch. Yeyeyey!
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
Oakey should have just taken the bait. At least his answer was a fire lizard, and not a giant pygmy puff. So he was close. Both were fire related and reptiles...dragons were reptiles right?
Oakey took a sip of his tea. He didn't get a good taste of its flavor because it was hot and he burned his tongue. He brought his cup down quickly, stuck his tongue out and waved at it furiously trying to calm the stinging pain.
What was the next question? What kind of dragon? Ith ibt a romabion long horn? Oakey replied with his tongue still out, trying to cool it off.
Then the egg shook, and cracked! Out of excitement Oakey bit down on his tongue! Agh!, he yipped covering his mouth quickly so nothing else could escape his lips. Sadly though, as his one hand covered his mouth the other tipped his hot tea onto his pants leg! mmrfffgh, he groaned through his hand. At least a dragon was hatching.

Jezzabelle just stared at the egg. Stare. In that green egg there was a baby dragon and she prayed that it didn't want to eat her. What breed? If it didn't breather fire the as soon as hatched and it has a light green shell. She raised her hand, "Is it a Romanian Longhorn?"

A crack. She was getting a little nervous now. Should she really be sitting in the front? Should she really be this close. Meh, she'd be fine. She was fireproof and there were plenty of professors to protect here. She was fine right in the front.

O__O Wait what? That was a dragon egg? MERLIN'S BEARD! Ella couldn't help but look at the egg in amazement. Would this second year really be witnessing a dragon emerge from the egg tonight? This was exciting news! Possibly the most exciting thing since she had started going to Hogwarts! The little blonde started to bounce in her chair excitedly as she listened to Williamson explain how to recognize a dragon egg. Pulling out some parchment and a quill, she scribbled down notes.
Wait a minute. Was Williamson eating the candy in front of the class like that without sharing? But it was chocolate...CHOCOLATE! Frown. Oh well, Ella still loved the man right now. Especially cause he had a dragon egg, which was brilliant!
Since Ella was an avid reader, the second year's hand shot up into the air when asked what breed the dragon might be. "Professor Williamson, it must be a Romanian Longhorn. Cause those are from Romania and they have green scales, yeah?"
Still beaming and smiling and nodding and such, William nearly applauded everyone who guessed 'Dragon Egg' and almost GLARED at those who suggested otherwise.

Nigel was right about the dragon egg but still wonder how the professor got it. Wasn't trading and buying dragon eggs banned, well whatever it wasn't Nigel's problem. He started to think about all the breeds of dragon he has read about in books. "Professor is it a Common Welsh Green dragon" yes that would fit since it is a green egg.
SPOILER!!: Baby Dragon!
The egg was hot, and the baby dragon inside wanted nothing more than to get out at last and spread his/her wings. How did one escape from an egg, hmm? What was an egg, anyway? Was it not just an extension of a mother dragon, with possible father dragon DNA donated to keep things lively? Had the baby dragon come into existence before the egg, or was the egg there all along and he/she had just magically grown from it? Which came first: the dragon or the egg?
Rocking around the eggshell, the baby dragon did its best to crack the tough case that was enclosing it. It eventually succeeded in making a little fissure, through which it felt fresh(er) air, but it was still not enough.
The dragon continued to flail inside its egg, wanting oh so badly to be free. Its tiny mind was simply too large to expand inside this confining egg.
Nigel was watching the egg in fascination. He was sure the dragon inside was going to break out soon and we will see what type of dragon it was. Nigel was still pretty sure it was a Common Welsh Green because it was a green egg but Nigel could never be certain until it hatched."Professor I think the dragon is going to hatch soon"
SPOILER!!: Romanos
After filling up a few more cups with the tea, Medea went back to handing them out to the students, like Nigel here. "Here you go." she said quietly with a smile, handing him a cup of dragon fruit tea.
Nigel took the tea and tried a sip. OH Batman was it good. Maybe Nigel would have to ask his parents to make some when he went home for winter break. He then said "Thank you Professor Romanos for the tea it is delicous"
It was hatching. A new beginnings... Sarah's sentimental side gushed. "I hope this thing doesnt get stage fright, with all of us gawking at it like that. Or maybe, like when a person wakes up from people staring at it."
Sarah than helped herself to some tea, and sat back and watched.
Instead of doing what everyone else had been doing, Nessie had been rather distracted. Most of the kids had already finished drawing the egg that was in front of them, but not Nessie. She was had finished her drawing, just not the one Professor Williamson asked for. Her drawing was a fairly gorgeous of the teacher before her.
The red head stared at the picture in awe for a few moments. Personally she thought it was beautiful, maybe if she knew how to draw better it would have been perfect, but still she thought it was good.
The badger was utterly clueless to her surroundings, because the only place her eyes were now focused on, was Professor Williamson and her drawing. She added a few more touches to it, and then wrote "Prince Williamson." to finish it off.
Text Cut: My fail of a drawing. D:
Now what was everyone so focused on?
Looking away from her drawing, it was only now that Nessie saw the egg in front had began to hatch. Her eyes watched for a few moments. It looked so beautiful nothing like Professor Williamson but it was interesting.
Interesting enough to keep her watching.

Harvey thought about his answer for a bit before referring to his book the way he was instructed.. he looked at the professor .. he worked at a Romanian Dragon Sanctuary? well then that REALLY narrowed down the choices of breeds to just one.. the Romanian Longhorn... but people had already suggested this so he just noted it down that he thought it was the Romanian Longhorn. Just then his attention was drifted elsewhere

The egg had started moving quite a bit.. just then there was a little hole in the egg shell.. oh man was the egg going to hatch right now? oh man that would be SOO cool! to actually see a dragon hatch and see a baby dragon.. now THIS made coming to Hogwarts all the more cooler! Plants with Teeth, runaway carts and now baby dragons.. this WAS the BEST year so far!! oh he just couldnt wait to see that baby dragon come out of its shell
Come On Baby Dragon.. woo wooo wooo.. come on out and meet us!! Harvey just kept on grinning as he watched the egg continue rocking as the baby tried to get out of the egg.. he wasnt listening to anything now.. his eyes and ears were on the egg.
The little egg gave another big quiver and a fragment of shell actually popped off this time, as the dragon within was exposed to some more fresh air. Ah, the taste of life. Good old oxygen. Dragon baby wanted so badly to stretch its little wings but all it could do right now was poke the tip of a wing out through the egg.
Must. Escape. Egg.
The shell started trembling and cracking with renewed ferocity. There might have even been a few angry squawking sounds coming from this dragon child.

Ella's eyes were growing wider as she continued to watch the baby dragon try and escape its shell. She jumped a bit when a piece of the shell actually broke away, causing her to bump into Sophie. "Sorry Soph." She whispered. A gasp escaped her when she saw-well she wasn't exactly sure what she was seeing. Was that a little wing poking out from the egg? Or maybe it was a horn...or a leg? Honestly, it didn't matter what was poking out, just that something was. This meant that widdle baby dragon was coming to be out soon, yeah?
Oakey stuffed his drawing away very quickly and watched as Professor Williamson handled the large egg and placed smaller ones behind it. Then He saw Professor Romanos and Professor Elwood handing out Dragon Fruit Tea and Dragon Fruit slices. He heard Elwood speak up if anyone wanted a piece of the Dragon Fruit. I'll take a piece of Dragon Fruit please, he said politely. He also took took some Dragon Fruit Tea from Romanos as she passed him by. Thank you he said graciously. Now if he could just take a sip of this Dragon Fruit Tea...it was to crowded in here.
Oakey raised his hand and was about to answer what he believed what was in the egg. He quickly shot it back down though. Oh Huh I'm on to you Professor Oakey thought giving the COMC Professor a glare. You WANT me to say Dragon Egg, Merlin! You're baiting me to say it with all this Dragon related foods. Oakey raised his hand slowly this time. Professor I believe it's an egg for a really big Salamander. How about that.
The next Puff to ask for Dragon fruit slices was granted with some and a quick smile from Professor Elwood as she worked, tucking a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear. Off to the next customer kid.

"Yes you may, enjoy it dear." After handing the student their fruit slices, Calista pulled one off the tray and popped it into her own mouth.

"Umm, here you go." Professor Elwood said with a small nod. Yes, unless he was going to tip her at LEAST a few sickles, she wasn't going to be talked to that way.

Professor Elwood was just circling the room to see if there were any others who wanted some of the dragonfruit slices and had been almost too busy to see or hear the cracking of the egg but during a short lull in her 'work', Calista saw some of the students' eager faces.
What? What was happening?!
....
Calista sat the tray down slowly and then walked close to the front of the room, still safely back from the thing and William, to watch it crack and shake. A tiny bit of green poked out of a small hole in the shell and Callie gasped quietly.

Yes, Cece knew she was late but it couldn't be avoided. She did have students to tend to in the infirmary. With all of them finally gone she was able to make her way down to the barn and this lesson Willy was giving. She had a feeling this was one she was going to be needed at. Yeah, she knew what those WOW boys had been up to over the summer.
Entering the barn she noticed all the other professors already there. Seems she wasn't the only one with a curious mind.
Not wanting to interrupt the lesson she just stood back and watched what was going on, paying extra attention to that egg... that was cracking.
You better know what you're doing here William Williamson.
[...]
Looking around at all the students and their drawings was actually pretty neat. Some of them had done a very good job others....well their effort was apparent. But there wasn't just students in here, two other Professors were present besides the Care of Magical Creatures one. Callie waved politely at them both, wondering if she should go and say hi or if they should spread out and watch the kids.
But she wasn't in this lesson, she was just hear to observe and have fun hopefully.

Smiling to the two other professors who showed up, Oliver and Isabelle, she turned her attention where the magical creatures Professor was and smiled to him too.
SO, William. What was in the cauldron!?
As other Professors arrived in the barn Isabelle looked over at them and grinned. Ahhh, one was the nice looking woman she'd welcomed at the feast. Callie, if she remembered rightly. She put her hand up in greeting to both, but refrained from saying anything. They were there to observe, help, not chat too much. They could do that in the staff room, she supposed.

Yeah. That.
Oh, and William was back. Doing his thing with the sand and the egg and....whatever else the exercise required. Isabelle smiled as he came over to her and her two male colleagues, having spoken to Medea and Callie. She nodded her understanding of what he asked, even giving a little salute. "Will do. And I wouldn't have missed this. Looks exciting already."
Moving off to the side, but with a clear view of the now cauldron-less egg, Issy flourished her wand and produced a small stool on which to sit. Gathering up her cloak around her legs so not to get it tangled, she sat down and leant forward, elbows on knees. Her wand was in her right hand, ready to use if needed, and her eyes fixed on the fascinating happenings at the front.

Talking of exciting. Did that egg just move?
Isabelle sat up a bit straighter, and clenched her wand tighter. Be ready for anything. William could see this, right? She glanced over at him as she heard him talking about how to identify the different sorts of eggs. But she was pretty sure the kids would soon find out exactly was inside this one. Especially as there was now a hole in it, and a baby moving about.

Ok... so not a phoenix egg... Lily kinda shrugged off her wrong answer as soon as he mentioned that it was a dragon egg.....a DRAGON EGG.... That was insane... How did Professor Williamson manage to get his hands on a dragon egg??? The second year was waaaay to occupied with staring at the egg as it moved around to answer the professor's question let alone take notes on what was happening. Wait.... did he say 'fire- breathing' or something close to that? Was this baby dragon gonna start breathing fire all over everything... like the barn itself? Lily grabbed her legs and scrunched up into a little ball as she sat on the floor staring at the egg... which had something sticking out of it now... The redhead's eyes were wide as she watched in anticipation...also kinda worried about how she was going to get out if something went horribly wrong with this.
"Good guesses, everyone," he made certain to look at the ones who'd had the right answer, "this is indeed a dragon egg. Although some of you identified it easily enough and were spot-on with your assumption, others of you were... a little off. I assure you, this is NOT a... a mutated pygmy puff egg," especially since puffs were mammals and had live births, "or a phoenix or salamander egg."

Drats, it wasnt a large mutated chicken egg!! She starte taking notes on how to identify a dragon egg. First measure, secondly side by side comparison. Third get reference book and use things to figure out what it is. Is it a welsh green egg? She didnt know a lot about dragons but it was green so... She turned to the Professor giving the tea and took some that she gave her and said Thank you! She stared at the egg, wow, it was cracking! Wow an egg shell actually poped off. Suddenly there were angry sounds, Narumi screamed, scared of the sound.

After the Divination professor gave him a few slices of dragonfruit, the blonde guy paid his attention to the egg again. "Well, Thank you Professor." said him politely. Yum.. it tasted awesome. When would the egg hatch? Gary was looking forward for the hatching.
No longer after that, he realized that the egg started to crack. EEEEEPPP! The egg would hatch soon! "Wow." he murmured. But.. wait. Was it dangerous? Maybe it was the reason why so many school staffs were gathering here. Did he brought his camera? Then he looked for it at his bag. Yay! He brought it. "Don't you mind if I take the picture, Professor?" asked him curious.

Zack was very surprised as the egg started moving and shaking as if it was just about to hatch in a few minutes. He hadn't seen an egg hatch before not even a normal chicken egg, let alone a dragon's egg. He was a bit terrified to see what was to come from the egg. A dragon? What if it sparks the whole room? he knew the professors were there to help but still he was really shocked to see something green coming out from the egg.
He looked at the professor when he asked them what type on a dragon it was. Really? Does he really want us to say what type of dragon it is? Is he forgetting that it's a dragon's egg and not a chicken's egg? Now certainly Zack knew he was out of his mind. But still he could guess, he had done a bit of study about dragons in his summer holidays. He tried remembering something, thinking about some dragn that looked green, that had green skin. Yeah! he knew this one. He raised his hand and said "Professor, is this a Norwegian Longhorn?" he said and looked at the egg immediately as it started moving again. He couldn't take his eyes off from the egg.

Sophie had no idea about anything dragon-related, so she decided not to guess. It would be pointless and she wouldn't get the right answer anyway.
She was watching as the others spoke, looking around to face them, when she heard a louder noise coming from the cauldron. She turned her head around quickly just in time to see part of something poking out of the eggshell. O____O
Once again, she didn't know whether she was excited or scared. It was a baby DRAGON after all! But um... there were a lot of professors there - and even Healer Tillstorm was there too! Good! - so there were alright... even if... things got out of control. Right?
The egg, it was moving alot more now. Lots of quivering and shaking. Kaiden leaned forward to try to get a better look at the thing. He was excited to see a crack forming, and eventually a small piece of the shell come off. And there, right there, was a little bit of baby dragon. What was that, its wing maybe? The boy scrunched up his nose at the noise, thats really the sound they made? Cool!
The little egg gave another big quiver and a fragment of shell actually popped off this time, as the dragon within was exposed to some more fresh air. Ah, the taste of life. Good old oxygen. Pyrsephonie was about to answer the Professor's question when she saw the egg begin to move. She became totally concentrated on the egg. After a while, she noticed a small piece of the egg shell pop out. What looked like a tiny snout stuck out a bit, as if trying to breath in the fresh air. Then the egg started shaking even harder. Pyrsephonie scooted herself closer to the egg. She heard frustrated squawks. She looked the egg over and said, "Professor, I think the dragon wants out."

Minerva couldn't believe her ears that was a real live dragon egg. She felt excitement and nervousness all at the same time. She took out her parchment and began to write down as many notes as she could. She wanted to know everything about this topic. She remembered taking out a book from the library last term just to skim, but she didn't know if she could remember anything from it. She looked at the egg and watched the measuring tape go around it. This was so cool. She put her hand up. "Professor could it maybe be a Canopy Dragon? I read somewhere they had green eggs, but I'm not exactly sure where they are from." Since he said Romanian she wasn't sure if that would be correct. Oh how she wish she could remember everything from that book.

Must. Escape. Egg.
The shell started trembling and cracking with renewed ferocity. There might have even been a few angry squawking sounds coming from this dragon child.
Minerva saw the egg moving and looking more violent at each movement. She jumped a little in surprise at the movement. She had never even seen a chicken hatch let alone a dragon. She couldn't take her eyes off the egg, she tried to listen and take notes, but it was getting harder and harder. Then a loud noise came from inside and Minerva felt herself moving closer to the person next to her, which thankfully was Damon, because it would be weird to move closer to someone she didn't know. "Ummm how long will it take for the dragon to come out of the egg?" She wanted to ask if it would burn them all once it saw the audience.

She turned to the Professor giving the tea and took some that she gave her and said Thank you! She stared at the egg, wow, it was cracking! Wow an egg shell actually poped off. Suddenly there were angry sounds, Narumi screamed, scared of the sound.
Yes, she was right, it was a dragon! Okay so how to identify your baby dragon egg, first measure it secondly use a side to side comparisson with anything you can measure, thirdly grab your reference book and use the eggs characteristics. Okay it was a green egg, there were two green dragons, that she knew of, the Welsh Green Dragon and the Romanian Longhorn Dragon, well the Welsh Green was native to Wales and the Romanian Longhorn was native to Romania, so it was a Romanian Longhorn Professor, is it a Romanian Longhorn baby dragon?
Nerida looked over at the now cracking egg with facisnation. A piece fell off the egg. Nerida jumped up its cracking!!!its cracking! Yay! She loved dragons she was fascinated with dragons!! Hearing someone scream she turned around to see Narumi she asked her Are you okay, Narumi? Nerida was still very very close to the egg...
