On the darkest of dark nights, down the rolling, phthalo green hills of Hogwarts, at the extreme back of the barnyard, in what used to be an old winged horse stall with no door and is now a converted fireplace..... lies one very shiny, very large egg-like object.
The object seems to be giving off an incredible amount of heat and occasionally quivers to and fro as the flames lick the sides of the cauldron it sits in. What is it, you wonder? You seem to be half-hypnotized by the shady, crackling, almost bubbling object; you hardly even notice the absence of the hay bales where you usually sit. In fact, there doesn't seem to be ANYWHERE to sit.
So you stand, shifting awkwardly from foot to foot, and waiting for more directions from Professor Williamson, who IS sitting, on a little metal stool, his back to the arriving class.
Nigel walks into the barnyard thinking about what his first lesson in Care of Magical Creatures will be about. HE has heard about some dangerous creatures from books he was read for fun. While he was walking towards the Professor Nigel spots the very shiny, very large egg-like object.
Nigel starts to wonder what was in the egg like object. Maybe it was a dragon. He always wanted to see a baby dragon but that was just a dream. He saw that it was in a cauldron getting heat so maybe it will hatch soon. Nigel couldn't wait. He walks past the professor and says "Nice to meet you Professor Williamson".Nigel starts to look for a seat and sees that the professor has one but there are none for the students. There was not even hay to sit on, how depressing. Seeing as there was no seats he decided the only option is to stand and wait for the Professor to address the class.
Kennedy made his way down to Class of Magical Creatures. He tugged his robes to him as he kept walking. He didn't know why the class was taking part at night, but the good thing about this was that he wasn't sleepy at all. As he arrived to where Professor Williamson was the first thing he noticed was the very shiny, egg-like object.
Was that...?
Nah...it couldn't be.
...Could it?
Kennedy stared at what he thought MIGHT be a dragon egg with glazed eyes. He's wanted one SO bad since he knew they actually existed. He even asked his father for one for Christmas. OR...what if it was something else? A mythical beast or something along those lines? "Hello, Professor Williamson," he said. His green eyes still glued on the dragon egg object. The Prefect didn't even noticed there was nowhere to sit. He just stood there.

A night class...with Care of Magical Creatures? Kurumi had been practically pounding her head on the study tables in the common room trying to think just what this could imply. It was a refreshing process after everything else. No matter what, in most cases, creature talk always offered Kurumi the distraction she needed. She had theories, of course, and some of them were a little too far out there seeing as her imagination had once again run away with her.
Upon arriving, however, Kurumi's eyes widened and she just STARED at the converted fireplace and WHAT was inside it. Could she just run right up to it now?! PLEASE!? Kurumi all but sprinted towards Professor Williamson, completely not noticing the lack of places to sit, and BEAMED at him. "GOOD EVENING PROFESSOR WILLIAMSON!" she chirped with almost uncharacteristic enthusiasm. Had he actually done it?! What she had asked on the practical portion of her final exam last term? DID HE DID HE DID HE?!
Still beaming, Kurumi moved to sit down in her usual location....only there was nothing there to catch her as she sat. With a soft THUD, the Gryffindor landed on the ground and wore an expression of utter shock. Wait...where had the hay bales gone? One more glance at the FIREPLACE with the EGG in it made her forget just how embarrassed she was about falling to the ground and she was back to beaming again....from the ground.

Minerva walked down to class. She was a little nervous and didn't know why. She saw the professor, but he wasn't looking at them. What was going on with this class she wondered. Looking around she didn't see anyone she knew yet either. She then noticed an object was that some sort of egg? Did it just move? She moved in the opposite direction and tried to smile at the professor. "Hello Professor, hope you are doing well."

Care of Magical Creatures class wasn't a class often taught in the evening. Herbology...yes, charms, runes...yes, astronomy....especially, he mused thinking of the last one with a twinge of disappointment, but not often COMC. So it was with much curiousity that Gideon made his way down to the grounds for the lesson at the given time. He made his way to the back of the darkened barnyard until he came to the source of fire and heat.
"Good evening Professor," he greeted the man, standing off to one side of the area they were to gather in. Spotting the object in the cauldron the prefect couldn't help but raise and eyebrow as the scene looked familiar from his visits with his brother. Was that egg really what he thought it was? Gideon was brought back to the present when he heard a soft fall to the ground and spotted Kurumi seated on the floor.
"Um...hey Kurumi. Ye okay?" he asked, offering a hesitant hand in case she wanted to stand back up. She certainly seemed better then he had seen her lately.
Taylor smiled and walked to the class. "Good evening Professor." She chirped and looked around. Tay was naturally enchanted by the glowing egg thingy, so much that she just stood there. Taylor would of just stood there anyways since there was after all no seats around.

Ella was extremely excited for the first CoMC lesson. She had been reading quite a lot about magical creatures over the summer and her fascination was only growing. It didn't hurt that this particular lesson was a night one, making Ella feel even more eager to find out what they would be doing. Nothing ever seemed to go as planned in Professor Williamson's lesson so the class was surely in for an adventure.
Entering the back of the barnyard, Ella's attention was immediately drawn to the fireplace, or rather what was inside the fireplace. What on earth was that sitting in the flames? And was-was it actually moving? Ella's eyes grew wide, her mind running wild with possibilities as she stared into the flames.
After a few minutes, Ella shook her head to snap herself out of the trance. But wait, where were they to sit? FROWN. Ella just wanted to sit near the fire and get comfy cozy while she watched the egg thing. Especially if something was about to hatch out of it. Give me ze widdle babies, please. Looking around at her fellow classmates who were also standing, she noted Professor Williamson. At least he had a nice seat. "Hey Professor Williamson." She said, smiling at the man. "Did you use the hay bales to make the fire?" And no, she wasn't trying to be funny. It was just the only rational explanation she could think of for the lack of seats up in this barn.

Nerida had been wondering for the whole day what would be happening in the night Care of Magical Creatures Lesson, she had never been to a night lesson well for Care of Magical Creatures. As she walked up to where everyone was she saw something in the fire what was it!? WHAT WAS IT???!!! She kept on looking at it, it was an egg like object..Could it be? No...It couldnt be...But what else could it be??
Yes, it had to be...
But maybe it wasnt...
Or maybe it was...
She smiled and beamed happily Hello PROFESSOR! Williamson! How are you?!! She got to liking Professor Williamson after last year when he let her keep Squeaky the pygymy puff! She kept on looking at the thing in the fire with many ideas about it. She sat on the hay bale she loved most, dont tell anyone but she thought it was the sofest, it wasnt so pocky or maybe that was just her...Hmm she sat down but nothing caught her. THUD! She laughed and took another peak at the fire making her forget about her fall and just think about what the thing was, many ideas peeping in her head.

Well, Keefer wasn't entirely sure why he was walking down to Williamson's lair hut at this time of the day, but he was doing it anyways. His stride became a skip as he thought about the day's tryout session and who was present..
A small group of students was already present. "Good evening, Professor Williamson," he said, though quietly. The man appeared to be preoccupied, his back turned to the incoming throng. Keefer contented himself with walking over toward where Kurumi, Kennedy, and Gideon stood, the only upperclassmen there so far. He didn't bother greeting them verbally, just with a nod of the head. Kurumi looks.. unusually excited, he thought. She had been kinda down this year, he noticed.

Penelope wasn't sure about this night class. She really would've rather been sleeping. But she knew Atticus would be disappointed if she didn't attend what had been his favorite class when he went to Hogwarts, and he was the one person she didn't actually want to disappoint. So here was was, entering the horse stall and staring at the fireplace that was there.
Oooo, was that an EGG in the fire? Were they going to EAT it? Have scrambled eggs?
This would instantly be her favorite class if they did.
Taking her eyes of the fire and the egg within just long enough to find someone she recognized, she found the only familiar faces were Kurumi and Gideon, so she made her way over to them, plopping herself down on the ground next to Kurumi, not caring whether they were actually supposed to sit or not. Her attention was mainly focused on the flames.

So this is how it's going to be, hmm, WWW? You get a seat, no matter than it's a metal stool, and we just standing here watching while your cauldron cooks an egg? Speaking of that egg, Sierra eyed it suspiciously then moved a step away, putting some Puffer closer to the egg than she was. If the creature hatched out and went on an attacking spree, it was probably better that the weaker ones go out first.
"Hello, sir," she said, coming up from behind him. He really was a cute one. It was too bad he had to be an old man at the same time.
...and so, as the story goes, she just stood there, 'shifting awkwardly from foot to foot, and waiting for more directions from Professor Williamson...'

Tying her hair into a ponytail, Beezus strutted to the Barnyard where they'd be having their very first Care of Magical Creatures lesson for the term. Given that the lesson was scheduled for the night and the surroundings dark, she squinted her eyes as she neared the crowd of students already present.
WAIT.
Fire? Somebody, or Professor Williamson was burning right at the start of class? Hmmm...strange. Curiosity ignited, Beezus hurried over to see what they've got for that lesson and was....hypnotized almost immediately upon seeing that egg-like object.
Was it....what she thought it was?
Too lost for words; not even to greet their Professor, she stayed standing on that spot, utterly mesmerized.

Alyssa walked down the rolling hills of Hogwarts until she reached the barnyard and saw that some of the other students had already assembled there. So she quietly walked up and as she did she noticed a large egg like object that seemed to be giving off an incredible amount of heat. 'Is this a dragon's egg?' Alyssa thought to herself as she walked by it mesmerized by the object.
She almost bumped into Professor Williamson who happened to be sitting on metal stool. "Good evening, Professor Williamson. It is nice to be back here" Alyssa greeted the Professor before standing next to the other students. She glanced to realize that she was standing next to her Quidditch Captain. "Oh Hi Keefer." Alyssa greeted him before looking back at the mysterious object.
Elle sort of grumbled and tugged at her robes. Dang, it was HOT, the fire was blasting out waves of heat every second so it was very uncomfortable, not to mention the lack of seats and the smell and how the room was filling with people.
UUUGH was magical creatures going to be uncomfortable and spooky all the time? No thank you.
Damon walked in quietly, "Hello professor," He said kindly with a nod walking up next to Taylor, "And how've you been? Now that we don't have to act like we hate each other anymore, mind if I stay and chat before class starts?" He smiled at her, oh how he loved her... but he was with Minnie, and would stay with her. Taylor would fade from his mind as anything but a cousin before long... he hoped.
Jezzabelle wasn't as fond of Care of Magical Creatures as Kurumi some people were and she wasn't entirely sure what motivated those people to be so excited. Sure the creatures were awesome and she loved to take care of them, but it wasn't really the creatures she wasn't fond of...no it was the Professor.
She didn't hate him. No Jezzabelle couldn't HATE people, it went against her natural loving nature. She was cautious of him though, if not a little weary. However, having class at night was pretty awesome although she wasn't sure why she needed things that were fireproof...until she arrived at the location of the class.
It was odd, almost creepy if she was being honest and she was. As she approached she said, "Evening Professor Williamson." As she moved a little closer she looked into the cauldron and saw an egg. Her imagination began to take off with her and she hoped that it wasn't what she thought it was. She looked around and found not a place to sit. no hay to relax on but that didn't stop her from stepping away from the cauldron and plopping down on the grass with a soft THUD. She wasn't about to stand swaying from foot to foot. Nope. Not tonight anyway.
No isn't what she thinks it is, is it? Either way she was here and she was ready to learn.

Silvia entered the barnyard, wondering why Care of Magical Creatures was being held at night. Maybe they were studying a nocturnal creature?
"Hello professor," she said. Looking around, there did not seem to be anywhere to sit, so she remained standing. Her eyes landed on the egg in the fireplace. What was that supposed to be? Whatever it was, Silvia suddenly felt a bit excited, and she normally didn't get excited for this class. But she was glad she came; she had an inkling that this would not be a class to miss.

A night class that wasn't Astronomy? That was… odd. Still, Emmanuelle trudged her way tiredly to the barn where the Care of Magical Creatures class would be held. Walking inside, she spotted some kind of weird glowing egg thingy. Was that what they were studying? If so, she had absolutely zero idea what it could be. "Hello, professor," she greeted, yawning. It was the middle of the night, after all. Looking around for something to sit on and finding nothing, Emmanuelle flopped down into the floor and waited for class to begin.

Prue walked into the small barnyard for the first care of magical creatures lesson of the year. It had been ages to her, the holidays passing much to slow for her liking. "Hello Professor Williamson..." she greeted though it came out much more like a question as her eyes rested on the large egg like object.
Was that a dragon egg? No... it couldn't be...
Could it?
Her brain was telling her it was, and though her sanity told her it couldn't possibly be she knew that with the Hogwarts staff, anything was possible!
Oichi was a bit unsure about going to a COMC class at night. She finds it cool to be out after hours but to be outside at night felt a bit nerve racking. Oichi took a deep breath as she exited the castle and headed down to the barn yard. There was just enough light sources to make it to the barnyard. Oichi's heart was beating fast as she entered the barn yard and saw the last light leading to the back. When she got there she saw a fireplace with an egg being heated. Her hand went over her mouth, she had read about this sort of thing. Could it really be? Isn't that illegal. Does it mattter, if I am right, wow. Oichi's demeaner changed, her face lit up. "Good evening professor, I'm looking foward to an interesting lesson and how could it not be at night.".

Gary walked to the ground to join care of magical creatures class. A night class? That seemed fun. The blonde guy never joined a night class at Salem before, except for Astronomy of course. "Good evening Professor." he nodded.
Noticed that there was an egg in the fire. What was that? Maybe it was a dragon's egg? Cool! Because it didn't look like an ordinary egg.

She waited patiently next to her housemate, half wondering what was that thing and half just admiring its coolness.

CoMC lecture starts today.
Jonathan made his way outside into the dark. With a lumos spell, he walked over to where the lesson is held, which is at a very secured and far away place to begin with. It was too dark outside that Jonathan can barely see the trail he is going to. Lucky for him, he managed to follow some of the students who are walking to the same venue as well.
Walking into the back of the barnyard, Jonathan saw a very glowing egg and of course the professor. He starred at it for awhile quite astonished really. It just looked really pretty. Oppps, he almost forgot to greet the professor. He shook his head and glanced over to Professor Williamson "Good evening professor" he smiled.
Seeing as they can barely sit down with all of these, Jonathan joined the crowed of students in one area and stood there as well. Now, he can't wait til this lecture will start. What's the egg?
