Louisa was slightly bored with this lesson, mainly because the levitating spell was one of the early ones that she managed to do perfectly. It was the spell that helped her a lot in the practical portion of her OWL exam last term too! So yeah, she pretty much nailed the Wingardium Leviosa.

Now that they made it to the activity part, Louisa braced herself for some group activity that required a Prefect guidance which she miiiiight escape this time, but no. This time they had to do partners. Woot!

.. waaaaait a minute. They had to levitate each other? Wow. She had a moment of deja vu; Dallin using the charm to save her when she fell off the tire-swing. However, she needed to find an older student. Her eyes glanced around for any victims candidates. The Gryffindor she-Prefect was the closest and Louisa QUICKLY averted her gaze away. She really didn't trust herself to do such an activity with someone she was.... disagreeing with a lot these days.

As if on purpose, her eyes caught Jonathan almost immediately. She loped toward him with a big smile on her face, "How about a sixth year with a seventh year skills?" GRIN. She took her wand out and looked at him in anticipation.

Kurumi gave Selina a quick, but encouraging, nod. Yep. Ready as she would ever be to be lifted up in the air. At least she wouldn't be levitated THAT high. At some point she would hit the ceiling after all...which would probably mean she would come crashing back down to the ground and land face first against some pillows...probably best not to think about that right now and just trust that Selina wouldn't steer her wrong.

Keeping her wand in her hand, just in case she needed to cast a cushioning charm on top of everything else, Kurumi waited for Selina to cast her spell. When she did, Kurumi felt as though someone were pulling her up by her robes - rather forcefully actually, but her feet DID lift off the ground a few inches. Kurumi sort of kicked the air, feeling highly amused by all this, and looked at Selina. "Brilliant, now how about you ---------- WOAH!" Suddenly Kurumi became unbalanced as she rose a little higher into the air and fell forwards...only it didn't stop there. She made a complete circle, her head nearly hitting the floor, and then sort of wobbled back and forth in the air like a bobble head doll's head.

"S-S-Selina....make it stop!" All the wobbling and unbalanced levitating!

Jonathan was beginning to think that this school is running out of seventh year or better yet, this class needed more seventh years. Well, it was partly his fault for not knowing who the seventh years were, other than of course, the Slytherin's very own seventh years. yeah, he knew all of them. Jonathan's hand was now back to his side and he found himself looking at the people around with partners. Should he approached the one without a partner? It would only make sense---

But, out of the blew, Louisa came up to him and asked him to partner up with him. And Merlin, with cockiness too. Jonathan raised his eyebrow while smirking at her 'conceitedness'... A sixth year with a seventh year skills. Wow. Impressive words, Carter. "So now, you're trusting me of levitating you?" of course he's only kidding about that. He's very happy that Louisa approached him. At least now, he has a partner for Charms.

Taking his wand out as well, he looked at her "This should be fun" smirking once more at her while patting her head.... for the first time. Jonathan has never done that to Louisa. Oh well~!

So, she was like the only one still without a partner. Well, it was partly her fault as she had just stood there, expecting someone to ask her. Stupid Sarah. Yet now was time for action. "Anybody want to be my partner?" she called over the din of furious incantations and levitating balls.

"Wow! that was awesome being up that high without a broom. You're really good with that spell. I hope I am too."Alyssa told Nora once she was back on the ground.

"Okay let's do this. Ready?" Alyssa concentrated on the spell and what she wanted to do and pointing her wand at Nora she swished and flicked her wand and said,"WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA"

Nora started floating a little off the ground. Alyssa concentrated harder, continuing to point her wand at her partner and soon Nora was floating above the cushions.

"How does it feel up there." Alyssa called out. Then she realized her mistake. She had taken her eyes off Nora, and now Nora was falling!!

Alyssa quickly swished and flicked her wand and concentrating harder said, "WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA" and caught Nora before she hit the cushions and levitated her back in the air. "Sorry about that, Nora. Are you okay up there?"Alyssa asked.

Her grin turned to a smirk at once when he smirked at her. Yep, she did trust him to levitate her now, because if he let her fall, she was sure he KNEW that she'd pay him back. Maybe drop him from even further away from the ground.

Did he just... pat her on the head? Louisa blinked at him before narrowing her eyes at him BECAUSE SHE WAS NOT A BABY FOR HIM TO PAT HER HEAD. D: "It's a challenge then." It's a really good thing that the Ravenclaw likes him genuinely now, otherwise he'd have horns growing out of his head. She did know a couple of jinxes and she wasn't afraid to use them, yes.

Louisa took a few steps back and without warning lifted her wand. "Wingardium Leviosa!" Swishing and flicking the way she'd been doing all lesson. Her concentration managed to lift the boy off the floor gradually until he was about two ft. Louisa smirked, "Now, Johnny..." She had him floating in the air, she could call him that without getting hexed. LOL. "...do I look like a baby girl from above?" Hehehehe.

When Alyssa asked her whether or not she was ready, the girl nodded enthusiastically, waiting to be lifted and to flyyyyy! As the incantation was said and the wand movement made, Nora burst into uncontrollable giggles as she started hovering above the floor, until...

"EEEEEK!"

SHE WAS FALLING!

Before she could shriek some more, Nora was glad that the Hufflepuff had thought quickly and performed the spell once again, catching her before she hit the... fluffy floor. "T-thank y-you." For catching her, she wanted to say, but she was still... shocked. "I'm alright," she finally said as she cleared her throat.

Jonathan stretched his fingers for awhile when Louisa looked like she can complain for more than 2 parchments of him patting her head just like that. What? Jonathan usually pat people on the head, especially the lower years or people who is shorter than he is. But it is a bit odd that he did that all of sudden and especially to Louisa. It's fun...

Jonathan was about to ask her something with the whole 'who goes first' when she suddenly said her incantation. Jonathan's eyes just widened when he saw Louisa's swish and flick and his feet just started to rise from thin air. Jonathan wasn't prepared for that. He thought they were going to... UGH! Jonathan's eyes narrowed at her as he was now high above the surface. "Very funny, Carter" he said, Jonathan liked flying in thin air. She should have seriously warned him before doing that.

Baby girl?

Oh... was she referring to the pat in the head earlier? Jonathan smirked at her and began enjoying floating. This is nice, nicer than being just down there and standing. He should do this sometime when he gets bored in the dorm rooms. All the Slytherin boys should. Anyways.... "You can put me down now." because it was not fair that he gets to experience all this and not let her take her own turn.

Jordan looked around to see a younger boy approach him, "Hey there, I'm Jordan, Jordan Macey!, nice to meet you," he grinned at the younger boy, "I'm a third year so it's not much of a difference!"

He pointed his wand at a ball, "Wingardium Leviosa!" his wand moving in a Swish and Flick movement, and a red ball levitated and bobbed in the air. "Come on, lets go over here!" he motioned to an empty space accross the classroom, and the red ball followed him. He then pointed his wand at Messer and casted the ball towards the other boy.

As Kurumi started to levitate mid air, Selina could not help but feel a little proud of herself. Levitating a human was an awesome feat at least for Selina. But she could not bask in her accomplishment because she was so panicked over the fact that she was holding Kurumi up mid air. If she made a wrong move or tilted her wand down Kurumi would plummet into pillows into the ground. This was a bad idea, she could just feel it. And then her intuition was proved right!

One minute Kurumi was suspended in the air having a ball and the next she was hanging upside down above the floor. It took her a second to really digest Kurumi's current predicament and when she did Selina freaked, "AHHHH KURUMI!" She was about to run to her aid when she realized if she lowered her wand Kurumi would fall. Now she was stuck- if she moved Kurumi would fall if she didn't Kurumi would stay upside down. Both were bad options.

The redhead then spotted the pillows next to her feet and she kicked them over to Kurumi. Once she kicked enough pillows to Kurumi Selina warned her friend, "I'm going to lower my wand- BRACE YOURSELF!". Then... She lowered her wand.

Were they to partner up? With someone in their own grade? He watched everyone rushing to find a partner. He was quite relieved when that girl Aspen went ahead with Sierra. He wanted to... okay, he didn't want to do anything grateful to Sierra, but he still felt good.

Talking of partners, which left him to pair with...

"Paulie." He was practically standing right there next to him that he had no other choice. He smiled, eyes glinting. Was that an evil glint? Surely not... he was just excited to partner up with him, that's all. He certainly didn't dream of lifting him up and then just... dropping him accidentally on the ground. Nope.

"Shall we partner up?" They were the only seventh years left anyway. He just didn't have any other choice.

So Much for paying attention, while ariana had moved everyone partnered up so quick and they only person she saw available looked like a first year so she sucked up her issues and approached the girl with a half smile "Hey I'll partner with you, I'm ariana." she said.

Put him down? Louisa grinned. Afraid to lose concentration, she didn't look at him. "Okay." And poof! She snapped her focus shut and lowered her wand. Hehehehe. The carpet should be softening the fall for him. Heh. "Oopsies. Sorry, must be my under-developed magic since... you know, I am waaaaaaay younger than you are. Three hundred days and a few more." Ha ha ha. Louisa was amused, though. Very.

HOWEVER, it was his turn now to levitate her. And Louisa did not feel well away from the ground at all. She couldn't even ride a broom without hugging it like a caterpillar. IF she rode one, that was.

And she had just teased him by letting him fall.

Uh oh.

She cleared her throat, put on a pathetic courageous face, shut her eyes, and holding her head with both hands as if Jonathan's spell would blow it off somehow. That was her way of saying 'I'm ready to fly'.

"Thank you. I am Sarah by the way. Lets get started!" Sarah said with a brillient smile that radiated her face. "What colour ball do you want?? Sarah asked, holding up a pink one and a purple one. "choose and cast first."

Sierra talked a lot. Like, a lot. Aspen just let her go to it. The longer Sierra talked, the shorter time Aspen would have testing her new wand out on a human being. Though, the flipside of this was: the longer Sierra talked, the less Aspen cared about setting her on fire with a wily wand.

Funny how cause and effect works sometimes.

"Getting what you want and receiving what is best for you doesn't always match up," Aspen answered, Zen-like, eyes still shut.

She was already holding still, but Aspen didn't point this out. She DID however, feel her body rise a few inches off the floor. Aspen gently put her hands out to her side so she'd catch herself if Sierra started talking again and dropped her.

"I'm really sorry about. See I've got you now but I think that I should let you come down from there, so that you can take your turn again." Alyssa told Nora, embarrassed that she had almost let her partner fall.

Pointing her wand at Nora, she slowly lowered her to the ground. "Again I'm sorry. I promise that I'll do better the next time. Your turn now." Alyssa told her partner.

Jonathan wobbled a bit when Louisa began to lower his wand. He was slowly going down and of course it's not like he was used to being on thin air, no. He was having a hard time balancing himself and all that and him lowering is even worse. Jonathan tried to focus on not getting himself hurt--- that was the main goal here. Thank Merlin, he landed on the carpet but his shoulder saved him from falling from his face.

Ow.

Jonathan fixed his glasses and quickly sat on the floor as he also fixed his hair. Glancing back to Louisa's direction Jonathan stood up and grinned at her. NOW, it was his turn and he couldn't wait for it. Jonathan took his wand out and went nearer to Louisa. Then he placed both his hands onto her shoulders and smiled widely at her. Wait! Did he just hear her clear her throat? Was Jonathan sensing a bit of fear in flying? Rubbing his hands and massaging her shoulders, Jonathan wrinkled his nose while grinning "See? This is why we're friends" oh, he was having fun with Charms class already. With his right hand he swished and flicked his wand in a fluid motion and uttered "Wingardium Leviosa" and watched Louisa fly.

Ariana gave a half smile. "I dont care, she said taking the purple one this one'll do." she said as she waited for her to come back from putting the Pink ball back. Ariana Concentrated with the ball held out in her right hand and her wand in her left and casted "Windgardium Leviosa" but nothing happened She tried again "Windgardium leviosa." theball levitated an inch or two off her hand but fell right back into it. 'what is going on Ariana you KNOW this spell' she thought to herself she looked up at the first year and tried once more "Wimgardium leviosa!" she said with more confidence and control this time and up the ball went threw the air as ariana passed it onto Sarah.

Zack quickly got up from his seat and moved to get a ball. He returned with one that looked blue. Blue was his favorite color. It made his eyes shine. He sat down again and looked at her.

"There you go. Would you like to try first?" he asked and started looking for his wand in his pocket.

Sierra just rolled her eyes at the sound of Aspen's comment. She had plenty to say, but right now, she had other things to focus on. Like the fact that she didn't fail, for one. She'd levitate Odessa alright, and she'd do it perfectly, at that. So for that reason, and that reason only, she shut up.

The girl began to rise off the ground. Sierra noted that she put her hands out just in case she fell. Smart girl, and maybe she did have a bit of Slytherin in her. Slytherins would never trust another person wholeheartedly. What was she supposed to do now? Rise her higher? Move her around the room, maybe? Sierra lifted her wand some more, hoping to bring Aspen to a higher level.

"Nice to meet you, Jordan." He gave the older boy a curt nod. Okay that's good to hear that the boy didn't mind to partner up with a second year.

Messer was waching closely while Jordan did the hover charm on the ball. He didn't want to make a mistake after all. The young badger followed his partner to an empty space across the classroom. Messer saw the ball coming toward him. Swish and Flick. "Wingardium Leviosa!" But unfortunately he was too late, the ball made contact with his right eye before it fell to the ground. "Ouch!" he rubbed his eye.

"Sorry about that." He's not ready yet or was that because he did something wrong with the wand movement? Either way he failed to catch the ball. "Let me try that again. I think I'm more ready now." Messer told his partner

Louisa was cringing inside when suddenly firm hands clutched her shoulders, she opened her eyelids checking whether she was dead already and angels were being nice to her or was she still on the floor? Jonathan's face was smirking down at her. She relaxed and gave a crooked smile. Okay. He wasn't taking revenge maybe so she should just get off the floor, forget about the fact that she was floating in the air, get back down. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Or not. As soon as her feet started to leave the ground, first her ankles and then her toes, Louisa's face paled and her eyes started to widen and widen and widen until she quickly lifted them off the ground and guuuulped. "Merlin merlin merlin merlin merlin merlin merlin.." Because really, her legs were now flailing and her arms spazzing and wrapped around herself.

She stayed tensed for a minute before slowly cooling down... her legs weren't flailing anyways, rather moving a bit from the imbalance. Her eyes weren't about to bulge out of her head, either. So yeah, it was a bit comforting. "O-o-okay. D-d-d-down?" Louisa hazard a glance down at Jonathan who was so blissfully standing on the ground.

Sarah watched as the ball loomed closer. A purple orb whirling towards her. Her wand hand was out, her wand clasped firmly. "Winggardium leviosa" she said. The ball didn't move. She said it again, yet still nothing happened. The birds outside were watching eagerly. Then Sarah clicked, nothing was happening because she wasn't concentrating. "I can do this" she told herself. With a determined look on her face she said it again, making to pronounce each syllable with care - wonder of wonders the ball lifted just a touch. Sarah tried again, her concentration etched on her face - It soared upwards. This was fun. She passed the ball back to her partner.

Aspen was doing her best to stay Zen. But when her Slytherin partner didn't put her down after the initial successful levitation, Aspen had her first twinge of worry. Not fear, but a little worried. Several scenarios crossed her mind, including: Sierra bouncing Aspen off the ceiling, Sierra deciding to test the limits of levitation and things like zooming happening, or, worst of all - Sierra getting distracted, dropping Aspen, and West!Ram happening again.

Zen. Aspen was Zen. She was trying to convince herself (without success) that if she didn't think bad things, bad things wouldn't happen.

Ok that last bit had the older Ravenclaw laughing a bit "Well, maybe you should sit first, nice, comfortable and stable, since this spell might make things a little wobbly for a person." to say the least. There was a reason why Mobilicorpus was created "When I get you to a proper height off the ground you can strike a pose."If only he had his wizarding camera with him. Or he could accio it, should be easier for him since he was in the castle.
