The charms classroom has been completely transformed from the last time you were here. Instead of the hard well polished stone floor, there is a a fluffy white carpet
SPOILER!!: carpet
that covers the entire floor. Colourful cushions
SPOILER!!: cushions
are also placed in neat rows where the desks and chairs usually stood. In the corner of the room stands a large container filled with balls
SPOILER!!: balls
.
There is a sign just outside the door to the room in bold flashing letters :
Please remove your shoes and place them in your book bag or in to the side of the class. As is usual ensure that you are properly attired and neat. When you do enter, pick a cushion and sit on it, keep talking to a minimum.
There professor is standing at the front of the class with her arms folded waiting for you all to be seated.

And... oh? She was getting good at it? "Thank you," she grinned, making the Hufflepuff go a little higher, having learned her lesson. She wasn't afraid of heights; good for her.
As she finally felt like she couldn't concentrate that well anymore, Nora slowly lowered her wand until Alyssa was standing on the carpet. All this concentrating... well, it became exhausting. "Do you want to try again?" And maybe, with some luck, the class would end? Yes, it was getting tiring, either concentrating on a flying Alyssa, either freaking out when it was her turn in be in the air.
Alyssa was disappointed when Nora lowered back to the ground. "If you don't mind, I would like to try it one more time, and don't worry I won't do any fancy stuff this time." Alyssa assured the Slytherin. "This time I just want to see how long I can hold you in one position."
So with a swish and flick of her wand, Alyssa said,"WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA" pointing her wand at Nora, who slowly began to rise up in the air. This time, Alyssa kept the level of Nora's height from the ground, constant and didn't wave her wand left or right, so that Nora was just floating in one spot. Alyssa concentrated as long as she could before lowering Nora slowly down back on to the carpet. "Whew! that was hard trying to keep you in one place. But I'm glad that I was able to do it. Would you like to have another try or just rest for now?" Alyssa asked Nora as she flopped back on the cushions mentally exhausted.

He was trying to concentrate on trying to keep the younger Ravenclaw steady with the spell when he heard the commotion behind him. He gasped as body after body started dropping out of the air and onto the ground and each other culminating with the Professor blowing like a volcano and docking them all house points.
*gaspeth* Ravenclaw lost 50 points. And Aspen was in the middle of this? That does not compute. But what does compute is that despite that point loss, the Eagles can absorb the blow. The Snakes and the Lions though-- thats gonna sting.
Speaking of stinging, eyes back to his partner. Is he still floating?

Chelle nodded and took out her wand. Then she looked down at the ball between them. It was blue.
OOOOOH, a blue ball. Jake's favourite colour.
She pushed those thoughts away before she could mess up this spell. She tried remembering the movement and then the spell. Wingardium Leviosa.
She pointed her wand at the ball and carefully began, "Win-GAR-dium Levi-OH-sa!" As she said it, she made a swish and flick movement with her wand, just as it had been demonstrated. Her heart was thumping in her chest.
The ball rose and started floating in the air. Chelle brought the wand closer to herself, and the ball followed. Then she moved it towards Zack, and the ball went towards Zack. She looked up at Zack, her eyes shining.
OHMYGOSH, it's levitating!
Zack was sitting patiently as chelle made her efforts to throw the ball at Zack. In a hurry to catch the ball, Zack was bended slightly to his left to catch the ball. He took the ball in his hands and said "Nice try, Chelle" it was really good of a first year to master the spell in one try. "I had to try the spell two times before i could master it" he said to the first year.
"Okay, my turn" he said excitedly and removed his wand from his pocket and took a firm grip in his right hand. He tried the movement before saying the spell and then he pointed the wand at the ball and said "Win-GAR-dium Levi-OH-sa!" in a clear voice with a swish and flick of his wand. The ball then moved from Zack's left hand to Chelle

"Gee, thanks! I guess I was concentrating too hard," she gushed. Then she watched Zack perform his spell. It looked effortless, though Chelle knew Zack was concentrating hard, too. But it was smooth. Really smooth.
"Well done, Zack," she said, grinning at him.
Okay, I suppose we have to keep practising again and again.
She looked at Zack and then back at the ball. Then she pointed her wand towards the ball once again, and said, "Win-GARD-ium Levio-SA."
Nothing happened.
Wait, that wasn't right. BUT I just did it, five minutes ago!
Hehe, Kennedy felt like a true magician making this boy fly. He almost wanted a cool cape to go along with it. As he levitated Lewis higher and higher Kennedy noticed he didn't seem uncomfortable. He almost wanted to set him down and make him fly.
At his request, Kennedy began to carefully bring Lewis back down when his eyes picked up Aspen, a Slytherin boy he's seen around, the Head Boy and...Sierra. Then the Head Boy was levitated by what seemed like a mad Aspen. He didn't know what was going on nor did he pay much attention to it, he just hoped Sierra wasn't in the line of fire. You know...he didn't want her to get hurt. It was normal for him to feel like that, right? Right. She was his partner after all...as Prefects go.
Kennedy had gotten a bit distracted until he remembered he still had a Flying!Lewis. Crud. He had been lowering his wand a bit too fast, but slowed down before the guy hit the ground. "Sorry," he said with a guilty expression. At least he didn't drop him.
It was all good, right?
Then...... O___________________O
Fifty points?!
That...that was a lot.
Kennedy set Lewis down before he dropped him for real this time. He followed instructions, but a small frown was present on his forehead. That Slytherin boy was involved. That meant THEY lost points. But...Sierra. Had she lost them too?
Yes, that was good. That was a nice speed. It wasn't too fast. It was very slow. Which was good. Slowly, sloooowly, slowl-
His gaze focused on the ground which was suddenly VERY RAPIDLY coming closer and closer Lewis completely missed the commotion going on. No, he was too busy trying to figure out which position would give him fewer injuries when colliding with the floor. Curl up? He went with that for now but switched positions every now and then, probably looking like he was trying to perform an expressionist dance or something.
What was wrong with Kennedy? He'd been doing so well before!
And then Professor Bellaire suddenly YELLED. That was when even Lewis' head whipped around - briefly forgetting all about his impending death - to stare at the professor. And the people involved. Was that...was that Paulie? It seemed like no Hufflepuffs were involved, however, which made him sigh with relief. They really couldn't afford to lose fifty points. Still, WHAT had happened to make them lose those points?!
It was right when he was wondering about that when Kennedy finally set him down, making him touch the carpet on all fours quite softly, having slowed down his descend considerably. Good. He was alive! Lewis moved to get up, and quickly walked up to stand next to the Slytherin Prefect, running a hand through his hair. "W-what happened?!" His eyes were on the small group once again, the frown on his face almost as prominent as the one on Kennedy's.
But they should probably continue before the professor noticed them staring. "Everything alright? Can I try the spell now?" After taking a small step away from the other boy, Lewis raised his wand, however waiting for the Slytherin to give him a sign that he was ready. He didn't want to take him by surprise after all.
Both of them should be able to do it already. Well, Jonathan already can, he tried this spell one winter day during his sixth year while he was on vacation. He got bored and managed to lift up his book with this charm, non-verbally. Jonathan however, squinted his eyes to Louisa. TRY??? HECK NO. Well, not to him, she's not. She's seriously just have to try it right now? Out of all the days of this year? Jonathan slowly shook his head while his face is rigid from the word Louisa said.... TRY.
Before he could even say something against it, Louisa is now grabbing his arm and taking him away over to one corner of the room. Did he miss something that she suddenly acted weird and well, sort of mad? Jonathan looked at Louisa as his feet had no choice but to follow her. "What...."
SPOILER!!: Professor say whut? =))
...
He was again about to ask her if there was something wrong but then out of nowhere, the Professor's voice just became loud for everyone to here. She raised her voice... for the first time. Jonathan's eyes widened as his head turned to the Professor's direction. What is going on?
Then he saw the Ravenclaw and the Slytherin having some fun time with this activity, whatever it is they are intending to do. That guy had a really long name that Jonathan can barely remember what is the first syllable.
0___________________________0.
Jonathan's pale face grew paler when he heard a large amount of points have been deducted from the 2 of them. 50 points! Loud and clear. Word for word. What in Merlin's name? That was a large amount of points. This is unbelievable. Jonathan frowned. 50 points. It just kept repeating in his head. His head went completely blank with the activity that they're doing as he faced Louisa, and stayed speechless.

It took all her efforts to maintain an even tone when talking to Daichi.
"Mr.Katharos go practice the charm with Miss Hutchinson. You may use the balls, I need to go tend to those students." She always snarled the words out. With a quick motion of her wand she pointed Indie to Daichi. They better get at it right away, her mood was rapidly going south.
"Enough!" And if they were stupid enough to continue by all means, it was their heads.
"Fifty points from each of you and detention. You are suppose to be setting a positive example for the younger students and look at you. On your feet NOW." Did you see the steam coming from her ears? Because she was sure she could feel it.
"All of you to the back of the classroom, face the wall. If I hear a word from any of you it will be ten points off for every syllable." If they thought she was joking they could test her....They were sooo welcomed to. Why did they think she would stand for this madness?
She turned back to the rest of the class.
"Does anyone else want to lose points? If not, continue as instructed." She glared at all of them.
Louisa froze in her track as soon as she heard TWO bellows, the first was a levitating spell said very loudly and determined-ly, the other was an 'Enough' coming from the professor. The Ravenclaw let go of Jonathan's arm and whirled on her heels to observe the scene.
Oops! She saw Paulie falling down, Joao and the RAVENCLAW girl were heading for the wall... along with Sierra. Huh. But that wasn't the interesting part.. no, the interesting and MADDENING part was the--
FIFTY POINT LOSS ?!?!?!?!?!
Louisa's jaw dropped open and then quickly was shut down since the angry woman turned on the whole class challenging them to lose more point. The girl's eyes moved to look at the back of the Ravenclaw's head. If looks -literally speaking- could kill, the Ravvie girl should be dead by now.
"And now I know who to assign for ALL the extra classes activities." she mumbled to herself and to Jonathan. Not that he had to reply... but he would've heard her. She glared some more to the girl's head and then turned to look at Jonathan. "Come, let's practice non-verbally." She needed to let her frustration out on someone by something, y'know.
Louisa closed her eyes, pointed her wand at the boy and focused very hard. Five seconds passed before she flicked and swished her wand at him... and opened her eyes to see what kind of effect her non-verbal spell had on him.

Theodore gaped at the older students who had just lost a bunch of housepoints. And there were a few Slytherins in there, too. GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRR... Theo sent them all individual looks of disapproval.

"Sure." Blue shrugged with a smile, keeping her eyes on the ball, ready to catch it lest it hit her in the head... Was that why she'd want to kill Theo?
"Oh um...okay." NONONO. Not okay. Because this meant she couldn't copy him and she was going first and-and-and. Minor panick attack. She picked up the ball and did the swish and flick saying, "Wingardium Leviooooooosah!"
Nothing.
NOOOO. She was looking like in idiot in front of one of her besties. A frown line appeared between her two eyebrows and she said clearly, "Wingardium Leviosa!" With swish and flick. The ball rose into the air a couple of inches.
OHMYGOSH.
"YAY! I did it Theo I did it!" She clapped beaming. But, having lost her concentration the ball froze in the air and started to fall. "NOOOOES. Wingardium Leviosa!" Swish and flick.
The ball rose again ("YAY!") before flying through the air and smacking Theo in the face.
O_________________________________O
"THEO I AM SO SORRY. BAAAAAAD BALL."
"NUFFFFFFINKKKKK...." Stop blinking at him, darn it! Moving on, moving on... Theodore was very aware that everyone else had gotten much further with this than they had.
Come on, Blue. He needed a star.
WHAT. She was doing it. Was it bad that this made Theo feel very JEALOUS? But then it stopped... oh, damn... and now it was....
"AHHHH!"
Kerplunk, right in the face.
"Bluuuuuuuuuuuue!" He nagged and held his face. It didn't hurt that much, but the general surprise of the attack just added to it.
Still, she had done better than he had. But now it was his turn. "It's okay, I am fine." Of course he was, even though there was a small red mark on his forehead now. Theodore placed the ball on front of him and took a few seconds to prepare.
Okay... Easy.
"Wingardium Leviosa." Theo said calmly, with the swish and flick following. The ball rose from the ground slowly, and he felt so excited that he almost let go of his wand to flail about. He didn't, though.
"BLUE, LOOK I'M DOING IT." The ball wobbled a bit as he shouted, but was still airborne. Now, Blue had to catch it. It was going her waaaaaaayyy....

Oh man this was embarrassing! When the Professor had said they would practise together he had thought that he would mimick her movements, but when she helped him by holding his hand the Slytherin's face turned red. This was so embarrassing...
But at the same time, he realised what he had been doing wrong all this time and that was that he had circled the wrong way everytime. No wonder the spell never worked. A small smile tucked on his lips but then frowned at the commotion going on in the corner.
He eyed all the older students and after a quick. "Okay Professor, thank you" when she instructed him to work together with Indy , his mouth dropped.
"FIFTY POINTS?! YAH YOU GUYS ARE STUPID!" He and Theo had gotten them fourty points last lesson and now they threw it away?! That was unacceptable!
With a huff, the fourth year decided to move towards Indy.

He saw Chelle do her turn but this time the ball didn't move at all. Hmm..what happened he thought and after a while said "I think you didn't swish and flick your wand correctly." he suggested to her.

Lowering his wand Oakey stepped forward and offered him his hand. I almost had it. He said pulling his friend up to his feet. Don't worry, I was kidding about the shrinking charm. I was angry with myself and took it out on you, He cracked a smile. I'm sure if I DID cast the shrinking spell, you have one really tiny tie.
He kept his wand lowered and stood back. Give me a moment to gather myself again, Oakey said. Why don't you give the spell a try?
Mordred took the outstretched hand of Oakey and fixed his hair and clothes. “Yeah, you ALMOST did. How about putting some intent there?” he suggested. He BADLY wanted to be levitated. Before he can continue, an angry professor made her way just to their side and confronted the other group. He was too concerned about his fall that he missed what really happened.
But.
50 points off each student?! He looked at the lot and found two Slytherins. One of them was a Prefect! How could a Prefect lose house points? And if his memory serves him right, it was no other than Sierra, their top point earner. He eyed both Slytherins who just made -100 points for their house and can’t help but think of what LaFay will say/do to them. Even if he wasn’t part of the chaos, he felt humiliated.
Shaking his head, Mordred took his place and faced Oakey. He better not mess up now. This professor meant business. He was hoping he could levitate Oakey and make him twirl in the air. Guess that’s not going to happen anymore, just to be on the safe side. Their professor was not in a good mood. He rolled his shoulder and pointed his wand at Oakey.
Swish, “Wingardium” ... flick. “Leviosa!” He wanted to get the spell right, but his thoughts were still on the -100 points they lost.

Oh. She had to work with Daichi. That wasn't bad. No. Of course it wasn't. It was quite nice, apart from the fact that Indy was a little scared that she might get distracted by him. She smiled at him as he came over. This wouldn't be too bad. And after the commotion that was going on with the other students she was sure they'd okay. "I guess I am..." She mused with a little giggle. She'd like that. You know. If they can like get to doing the spells.
Aww. He was stuttering. Indy smiled. "We do..." She mused, holding the ball in her hand. "Do you wanna go first?"

So far, Indy had not laughed at him which made him feel relieved. His cheeks did not stop blazing however and he tucked on his tie to loosen it up. It was hot in this room...
With one last glance at the troublemakers he sighed and sat down on the carpet. "I can't believe we just lost a 100 points!" he muttered. "One of them is my friend" Yes, he concidered Joao as a friend. "and the other is a Prefect!" a prefect! What was Lafay going to say? Daichi shivered only at the thought. "Eh..right, let's practise..uhm..o-okay" He didn't want to go first but because it was Indy asking he was going to try. He gripped his phoenix feather wand and pointed it at the ball. "Wingardium!" he swished.. "Leviosa!" and flicked.
And....
the ball did not even move from the spot. Like always. "I really hate this spell" he grumbled under his breath.

Oh. He was still blushing. And going on about the points. Secretly Indy liked it. That meant that her house would be closer to catching the snakes. "I'm sure you can earn them back Daichi..." She was positive. Because Daichi was a great student. "Hopefully they won't do it again..." Because you know. They'd got a detention too. So that would be good.
Okay. Back to the lesson now. Indy followed suit and sat down on the carpet too. This was going to be fun. You know. If she could actually manage the spell. She was catching first though. So hopefully she'd be able to do. She waited with a smile, as Daichi attempted the spell. Oh. It didn't work. Indy's smile didn't falter. Nobody was perfect. "Have another try..." Because she was in now place to tell him he wasn't very good, seeing as she hadn't done it yet.
"You'll get it..." She mused with a smile. Of course he would.

Swish, “Wingardium” ... flick. “Leviosa!” He wanted to get the spell right, but his thoughts were still on the -100 points they lost.
Oakey stood still and ready for Mordy's spell to be cast. He was confident that his friend would get it right the first time. That was until Bellaire blew a fuse again. He could see that Mordy was frustrated with his houses lost 100 points, but now was not the time for frustration. Oakey was unfazed by Laura's point loss, even if it was only 5 points and a detention. That was typical day for her though, so Oakey wasn't bothered by it.
He tried to speak up quickly and tell Mordy to focus on him and the spell, but he was too late. Mordy swished and flicked his wand fast...too fast in fact. The spell hit and Oakey flipped into the air, He did a somersault and landed on his back with a loud *THUD* despite the carpeted floor.
Oakey leaned up and rubbed his back looking at Mordy. He wanted to tell Mordy to get his head in the game before he lost his house another 100 points, but that wasn't Oakey. Instead he said, Nice try, but I don't need help with gymnastics. He stood up still rubbing his back, looked behind him and could see the imprint on the rug where he had landed. Have another go at it, he told his Slytherin partner.

Before he could even stop himself from doing the wrong hand movement, Mordred sent Oakey up the air and made him do a somersault. If it wasn’t for the point loss, he would have laughed out loud at his friend who looked absolutely ridiculous. That flip, he had to admit—was epic.
GYMNASTICSWHAT?! Mordred looked at Oakey with a confused look as he let his arm wand drop to his side. “What in Merlin’s flowery underpants are you talking about?” He failed to do the spell correctly, and his house lost 100 points. This was infuriating! But just like what he told Oakey, he has to calm down and clear his thoughts. But how in the world will he do that if he wanted to get mad at his fellow snakes for losing a huge amount of green points?
He shook his head and wiped his forehead with his sleeve. “You’re not hurt are you?” Oh yes, he cared. For once. Mordred nodded and positioned his arm wand in front of him, picturing Oakey as a yellow feather.
Smooth swish...”Wingardium”...flick... “LEVIOSA!” He was hoping he won’t send Oakey to the ceiling like a mad bludger.

West was all big eyed, trying to guess what was going on.
"That's my sister." He pointed at Aspen. "And that's my prefect." He pointed at Sierra. "And you don't want to know that one. He's bad." Pointing at Joao.
He shook himself and looked at Kaid. "Your turn!" And West would continue to sneak looks over THERE.
ASPENWHATWASGOINGON?
Aspen just wasn't worried about the rest of Ravenclaw. They mostly let her be anyway, and if they all hated her now? What would be the difference? But what she WAS worried about was.... West.
She caught his looks.
And put a finger to her mouth.
She was fine, and he was doing GOOD (she nodded, shhh and nods and good job over there!) and he should keep being consistent and not be a battering ram. Nothing for West to worry about, just big sister teaching some Bully Boys a lesson during lessons.

Fifty. Fifty points...
FIFTY POINTS?!?! WHUUT was this woman thinking? Paulie closed his eyelids because that was a LOT of points.. and this was a lot of dizziness...
But, what was that next part? Uhm, yeah. It was kinda hard to be 'on his feet' when he had no control over his body up here in the air. Although, Aspen must have been too preoccupied and panicky over Professor Bellaire to think about Wingardium Leviosa, and so.. he dropped to the ground like a sack of potatoes. And somehow avoided hitting his head this time.
He groaned. And he groaned for TWO reasons. The first was attributed to the fact that not only had his head been throbbing from the initial collision with the ceiling, but the flips and spins in mid-air had now given him the WORST bout of dizziness he had ever had in his LIFE. The second reason: he'd just lost fifty points AND got another detention. As Head Boy, no less. Ughhhhh.
Oh, how he wanted to talk. He neeeeeeded to! The words were bubbling up inside him like a potion gone wrong! But he clenched his teeth together and mustered up the power to refrain himself. Ten points per syllable was utter insanity, but he'd lost enough points to test her.
He stood up, only to fall back down upon the cushion again. He really WAS completely disoriented. Cursing the fact that there were no desks to grab hold of for support, he slowly and unsteadily rose again, keeping himself crouched over some in case he fell again. Zig-zagging and fumbling every two or three steps, Paulie finally made it to the wall where the others were, his ears burning in embarrassment from the horrible dizzy stumbling walking he'd just been forced to perform before the rest of the class.
He rested his head upon the wall and massaged his eyes before pinching the bridge of his nose. This attempt of relief was not helping much.
Detention and fifty points. Merlin's beard. Was that Sierra girl over here, too? Yeah.. he did feel bad for her getting dragged into this, and he made a mental note in his spinning mind to approach Professor Bellaire later about retracting her punishment. That would have to wait, though, for when Professor Bellaire WASN'T livid, and HE wasn't a mess/responsible for losing more points for speaking.
...
Well. He didn't die. Aspen hadn't expected him, too, but it was good to know. As Aspen approached the wall (Slooooow walking), she wondered about the theory of Hufflepuffs croaking earlier. Seemed much more likely to her that Gryffidors would go first.

Aspen caught the look.
And looked right back.
LOOKLOOKLOOKLOOK. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOK.

João's ears started to ring. He bet they were as red as a tomato. His whole face was getting redder, in fact. Not because of the shame, but because of the anger and injustice. He was getting a detention too? That he was the victim? That he was sat on? That he was hit Aspen and then dropped on purpose? And what about Sierra? All she ever did was refer to 'Romeo and Juliet'. For all he cared, Paulie and Aspen could stay in detention forever because they weren't Slytherin. But he and Sierra, that was just unfair.
Accepting Aspen's hand without even noticing he was holding her hand that she offered voluntarily, he got up and looked pleadingly at the professor. He had done nothing wrong, just like Sierra. If anything, they were the victims here.
Why did Slytherin lose 100 points quite unfairly?
With a muffled frustrated sigh, he went over to the wall and stood there as intructed. Unlike Sierra who he couldn't understand either, he didn't lower his head but kept it high up. Because he and she had done nothing wrong.
FINALLY... Aspen chose a spot on the wall.... not near Joao, but closer to him than the others. She crossed her arms and did just as she was instructed: Stared at the wall.
And pondered if humming was considering syllables.
And made mental notes to REALLY gain a restricted section note. She NEEDED it right NOW.
...what about Morse code? What if she tapped messages on the wall? She hated vague threats.

Mordy doesn't know what Gymnastics are!?!? Really, how much of a pureblood could he be? Oakey lived with purebloods but learned some flips and tumbles to incorporate them on the broom for maneuvering. It's fancy flips and spins you do in the air, except Gymnasts normally land on their feet.
Backs a little sore right now he said as he continued to rub it. Probably won't feel it in a few hours. Soooo no biggie, thank Merlin Professor Bellaire put in the soft carpet. He said as if the Professor wasn't a few feet away still fuming with rage.
He stood ready once more when Mordy faced his wand at him once more. He can do this, I calmed him down, he's got this in the bag.
Oakey was in the middle of this thought when he finally looked down and saw that his feet were dangling in the air about a foot and a half off the ground. Mordy! Oakey yelled in excitement. Mordy you did it! Oakey was excited to be floating slightly off the ground now, he started to do an awful interpretation of a salsa dance or what he thought was one.

She nodded even as she'd been speaking, just to make sure he knew she was alright. She just wanted a few moments of connection with the ground, after not being able to feel it for a while. It hadn't been long, of course, but it had been long enough. Although at least she hadn't ended up like Paulie, or any of the others who had ended up sideways, upside down, or in any other sort of crazy positions. She thought she probably would have fainted if that had happened, so maybe she really had ended up with the best partner. It remained to be seen if she was going to manage to do the same to him, however, which was why she'd made perfectly sure to give him as much time as he needed to prepare. At least she could hope he wasn't as afraid of flying as she was, though.
As she'd finally climbed back to her feet, figuring it would be easier to control her charm when ever she cast it if she was standing for some reason, she'd glanced to the side as she'd heard mention of Romeo and Juliet. Temporarily forgetting she should be asking Gideon if he was ready to be levitated as she got distracted by thoughts of Shakespeare. It was only Sierra, though, talking to João and Aspen, while Paulie was still spinning wildly. So nothing like where her brain had gone, since she was fairly certain Sierra would not have been suggesting they act scenes out or anything, and even the theatre thoughts had vanished at the shout from Professor Bellaire. Eeep!, she thought, eyes widening at first the massive points losses from all four people she'd been looking at, and then the fact everyone else had been instructed to continue what they'd been doing previously.
She hadn't even needed Gideon's statement to turn her attention back to him, sliding her wand out carefully even though she really needed to calm her mind down after the shock that had returned at the mess nearby. "Bien sûr," she replied quietly, momentarily reverting to French again before she shook most of her own surprise off. "Are you sure you don't need more time to get ready yourself?," she asked, slightly raising her wand as she'd spoken. She was hoping not, because she was back to wanting to get things over with. And, with another deep breath, she pointed her wand at him with a swish and flick. Time to concentrate. "Wingardium Leviosa!" She wasn't about to risk doing anything wrong now.
Gideon hoped that class might remain calm for the rest of the lesson, the excitement from the troublesome quartet and the professor enough for him. He raised an eyebrow at his partner's words in another language, sounding like French but as he wasn't a speaker he couldn't be sure of it. The sixth year didn't have much time to dwell on it either for Stella was asking him if he was sure he was ready. Simply nodding in response, Gideon closed his eyes figuring it might help assist in preparing for the change in gravity, his legs almost feeling as if he should be kicking off like he would to fly a broom. He heard the familiar words...imagined the wand movement that he couldn't see at the moment.
And suddenly he was off his feet!
And off the ground a few feet. Um...okay...that was weird. Nothing was keeping him up but the spell and the magical effort of the Ravenclaw in front of him and he felt awkward without the broom that HE himself could semi-control assisting the process. "Woah..." he let out, his legs floating in front of him as he lost the straight-upright position. The quidditch player started to try and compensate to regain his balance, using his arms to work on steadying himself. It only seemed to be half-working though as his body was far from evened out. But thankfully he was at least right side up and not upside down.

Flinching a bit as he muttered the last word of the spell, he was genuinely surprised that he actually levitated Oakey a few feet off the ground. Closing his mouth, he made no comment and continued to concentrate on Oakey who was now doing a dance.
And a crazy one at that.
Sniggering he lifted his wand arm higher to send his friend go a little further. “Enjoying it up there?” he called out with an outstretched arm. His arm suddenly made an involuntary twitch and he sure hoped that it won’t break the spell. More flips for Oakey? Way, better than dropping on the ground, since he was almost touching the ceiling.

Floating was ten times as fun as he thought it would be and dancing in the air made it twenty times that. So having fun at two-hundred times capacity Oakey hadn't noticed that Mordy sent him a little further up. He looked down and saw he was no where near the floor anymore. I'm having a blast, Oakey called down to Mordy. Wish you could come up and hang out don't you? sadly his friend was the one doing the lifting while Oakey was the one doing the floating/dancing. Oakey stopped dancing for a moment and looked up. Can I touch the ceiling? He thought as he reached his hands up.
Then there was a sudden jerk and Oakey felt himself being turned upside down! Mordy! Oakey called out now a little more frantic. I'm not a big fan of blood rushing to my head! Turn me around!
Not cool! Not cool! Not cool! Maybe he should divide this fun by two-hundred now!

Mordred made a face, and he was seriously jealous that he was able to send Oakey up and he can’t. “You shouldn’t be too trusting, you know.” Mordred called out to Oakey. If it was another spell, or another wizard—it could spell trouble for Oakey. Now wait a minute, he is unlucky, isn’t he?
The twitching didn’t do any damage to Oakey, except him flipping upside down. Now that’s the result of twitching his wrist. What if he swished it? Mordred heard him cry to flip him around again. He twitched his wrist once more making him lie in the air in a horizontal position. He badly wanted to send Oakey to the other side of the room. He wondered if he was allowed to do so...but then again, he can’t lose more points for not following instructions. “What if I tell you I can’t put you down?” he asked teasing him.

Right, they were all doing well for the most part, but they had time to improve and whaaa.
*blink*
Was that young hufflepuff girl blatantly disregarding her earlier instruction to take off her shoes and leave them in her bag or at the door? Sophia was not amused. She resisted the urge to ask her to leave her class and not come back, the headmaster perhaps would not like that.
"Miss Hyde, please be aware that you have a detention this afternoon. My instructions were simple enough to understand." She moved on.
Laura looked at the Professor had she just had the nerve to give her a detention, well anyway she still had her shoes on. "Professor I don't feel right without shoes and this kid called Tye his feet smell so bad, I found that out once." Okay so that was a lie but she wasn't happy the Professor had just given her a detention.
Laura looked at her partner, now she just felt like talking but we'll she didn't want to get into much more trouble.
"She's fifth year." West answered proudly. It was better than having a really old sister, or a little sister, right? She was just enough older than him that she could teach him stuff.
But he was GOOD and turned his attention back to Kaid.
"YEAH good START!" Yeahhh! West cheered his Huffie friend on. "Do it again. I'm ready!" He got into a catchers position... but couldn't help but look over at his sister again.
that's cool, it must be neat having an older sister. they could be useful.
nodding, Kaiden turned his concentration back to the task at hand. Performing the motions the same way he did before, he said the incantation a little more forcefully. The ball rose into the air, and just kept rising. He was working so hard that he unknowling stuck out his tounge in concentration. Get it to West, get it to West he kept thinking. It started the slow journey over to the other boy. When it got there, he let it fall for west to.catch
His frown only deepened when he saw Sierra making her to the wall. He'd seen kind of what happened and she didn't do anything wrong. He would have mentioned it to the professor if she didn't looks so angry. Instead, with one last look at his co-Prefect he shook his head. "People messing around and losing house points," he muttered to Lewis.
Kennedy turned to face Lewis straight on and nodded. "Hit me," he said. Not literally, you know, spell wise. He still had his wand in his right hand. It wasn't that he didn't trust Lewis - well, he didn't since he didn't know him well - but he always had his guard up. Plus, the idea of someone pointing their wand at him gave him the chills.

Fifty points… That was a lot. How could they be so irresponsible? Violet swore she could literally see steam coming out of the professor’s ears. It was a scary site to see and she hoped that they wouldn’t have to face that type of a punishment in her school career. Lost in thought and still staring at the older students who should be having quite embarrassed faces while the whole classroom stared at them, she didn’t see the ball coming until she heard Lily call out. As the first year turned her head, the ball was flying at her face already.
Boink!
It bounced off Violet’s forehead and dropped to the carpet with a soft thud. “Oof.", she muttered, and then rubbed her forehead at the spot the ball hit her. It didn’t hurt her since it was just a rubber ball, but Violet scolded herself in her head for not paying attention. “Sorry, lily,” she said laughing. “I wasn’t paying attention. I’m alright. Don’t worry about.” And picked up the ball. “Wingardium Leviosa!” and the ball rose again. It flew in a high arc towards Lily.
Oops. Lily couldn't help but start to giggle as Violet got bumped in the head with the ball. "Are you sure you're ok?" She asked giggling a bit. The redhead couldn't help but smirk as she watched her partner, noticing a small red mark where the ball had hit. Hehehe... As Violet started again, Lily slipped her wand into it's holster to get ready to catch the ball...which landed right in front of her and bounced right into her face. "Whoops... It looks like we both can't catch the ball."Giggle, giggle.
