It will work! Oakey thought, as he directed his wand up to send Mordy into the air. Mordy's feet stayed firmly on the ground though, so Oakey gave it one more lift a try, and he heard a thwack and saw Mordy swat his tie away.

Yeah, I have! He said angry at himself for not getting it right the first time. He was smaller and lighter than you though, so maybe I should try a shrinking charm on you first. Don't be so impatient, you'll get your chance to fling me around the room soon enough. Here Goes again! Oakey pointed his wand at Mordy once more. Wingardium Leviosa! Not the tie this time come on!

Vickers laughed. He understood that Muggle reference. He did. Well mostly thanks to his Uncle who uses it a few times.

"Alright here we go...." he started, aiming his wand at the center of the boy's body. With a swish and flick of his wrist, he uttered confidently "Wingardium Leviosa." He could feel the charm taking hold of the boy at the other end of that charm, but is it stable enough to actually lift him up properly? He watches unblinking.

Oh, right.

Kennedy had forgotten that instinct to protect oneself when a wand was drawn in their direction. He had almost forgotten about that until he saw the Hufflepuff hurry to reach for is wand. Oops. He noticed the blush afterward and decided to act as if he didn't notice it. He knew from personal experience that blushing was sometimes due to embarrassment or shyness...and he was glad he had some power in him to control it.

"Okay," Kennedy said, slowly raising his wand at the Prefect. Was it him or did the dude look nervous? "Tell me if you want me to stop, alright?" He didn't know if he was scared of heights or whatever. His wand now firmly directed at Lewis, Kennedy said, "Wingardium Leviosa!" with a swish and flick.

Fly boy!

Mordred tried to calm Oakey down. "Calm down. You'll get it." Being frustrated is one of the key ingredients to disaster, and his wand pointed at him DID NOT HELP. “Don’t think I’m heavy or something. Focus!” he said a little panic in his voice. Mordred’s not used to having someone else’s wand pointed at his chest. “AND NO SHRINKING CHARM.” He warned him, because that can totally go wrong.

He has plans, he wants to live long. Have mercy on this boy.

Oakey tried the spell with a little EXTRA swish movement making Mordred cringe and felt his feet rise a few centimetres off the ground. And when he did the flick, Mordred felt a push on his chest losing his balance and fell on the floor face up.

THUD.

“Merlin’s underpants.” Mordred closed his eyes secretly thanking Merlin and Bellaire for the wonderful carpet and cushions.

This is going to be a long class for such basic spell.

"Don't worry about it," Nora said, grinning from ear to ear once she was safely back on her feet. And... oh? She wanted them to try again? Maybe it would be better for Alyssa to try and make her hover more, to get used to it, and to find it easier and easier not to lose her concentration, but... being levitated by someone else was FUN, so Nora would do it again.

"Wingardium Leviosa," she spoke under her breath as she made the swish and flick wand movement. Slowly moving her wand upwards, she grinned once again when the Hufflepuff girl was back in the air.

Jonathan can hint that there is a side to Louisa that somehow doesn't like to be hovered into the air but he couldn't be too sure about. She seems to act normal with it but he did saw that slight fear into her eyes when Jonathan suggested for her to go next....... which is awesome-r. Hey, this is an activity and the professor did say that everyone should take turns in the levitation. Jonathan was just lucky that he is partnered up with Louisa.

He slowly lifted his wand and so did Louisa. She was now floating in this air. It's just awesome to see her wobble around like fish out of the water. Isn't this fun to watch. Jonathan managed to calm himself while he was up there but Louisa just had some hilarious expressions to share, Jonathan was liking every bit of it.

Jonathan was still staring at Louisa, she was beginning to put focus up there. The flailing had to stop so soon. NOOOO! Then, she mentioned going down. Jonathan smiled "What?" pretending not to hear her and lifted his wand a little bit higher which made Louisa float a few inches higher from where she was "What did you say?" he said raising his voice.

It really wasn't getting any more comfortable for Stella the longer she was up in the air. Even acknowledging that Gideon hadn't really raised her very far up, and that part of that might have been because she had still been standing when he'd cast the charm, she was still not on the ground anymore. At least she was staying relatively upright, considering she'd seen what had happened to some of the others who had already been on the levitating end of things. Plus, she hadn't fallen yet, which was a testament to her partner's ability at casting the charm. It had to take more focus that it did to levitate smaller objects, after all. In fact, she imagined that was most likely the reason Professor Bellaire was having them levitate each other in the first place. There was no need to complicate things if they were already rather complicated.

She hadn't expected the answer to her question, though, and she'd closed her eyes as another flicker of fear went through her. Either that meant he really didn't know, or it meant she was destined to have to deal with being up here for longer and he just didn't want to tell her that. They'd snapped back open as he'd spoken again, however, realizing that she was going to be set down again. She held her breath as he'd actually started, especially as she felt herself start tipping forward the slightest bit. She didn't want to hurt herself now, not after it had gone relatively well before, and she found herself stretching her toes toward the floor, helping to guide herself to a stop. She collapsed into a sitting position once she'd landed, the fear hitting her yet again full force, but she looked up at him reassuringly to tell him she was okay. "Mmm, that was...," she said after a moment. Good, odd, frightening to no end? She really wasn't sure, but she didn't want to scare him. "Did you want a moment before I try to levitate you?" To prepare, to make any last requests. She was fairly confident she could at least do as well as he had, but she needed to stand up again. So maybe it was more asking to have a moment herself.

Chelle nodded and took out her wand. Then she looked down at the ball between them. It was blue.

OOOOOH, a blue ball. Jake's favourite colour.

She pushed those thoughts away before she could mess up this spell. She tried remembering the movement and then the spell. Wingardium Leviosa.

She pointed her wand at the ball and carefully began, "Win-GAR-dium Levi-OH-sa!" As she said it, she made a swish and flick movement with her wand, just as it had been demonstrated. Her heart was thumping in her chest.

The ball rose and started floating in the air. Chelle brought the wand closer to herself, and the ball followed. Then she moved it towards Zack, and the ball went towards Zack. She looked up at Zack, her eyes shining.

OHMYGOSH, it's levitating!

Lewis was chewing on his lip quite nervously and somehow his grip on his wand had tightened considerably but he managed to suppress the urge to raise it again. "Okay." It was going to be fine. Even if something did go wrong he wouldn't get hurt, seeing as the professor had put up all those safety precautions in the form of cushions and the fluffy carpet. So it would be okay. Yes.

He still didn't like somebody pointing his wand at him.

And then all of a sudden he felt his body getting lighter...and lighter and he somehow felt as if he was weightless, as if he was in space or something. BECAUSE HE WAS FLYING!!! For real. Without help of a broom. The Slytherin Prefect was making him fly. All his fears of what could go wrong with another boy pointing his wand at him were momentarily gone. Probably due to the adrenaline suddenly coursing through him. This feeling, it was amazing.

His eyes wandered around the room for a moment, resting on a few people at random for a few seconds - and on Kurumi a little longer - before going back to Kennedy. Oh right. He should probably get him down again right? Since he would want to experience this too. "Y-you can lower me again." Slowly if possible. "Please." Okay now he was slowly going back to feeling nervous about this. His life was basically in the hands of a guy he hardly knew.

... and instead of being lowered, she was getting HIGHER. Louisa squeaked, "No, no, no.." KJHGFLK! Her eyes hanged on this spot on the carpet and she started flailing her legs again as if trying to maneuver her body downward somehow. "Come on, Jon. It's not funny! My head is starting to... spin." Which wasn't really true because Louisa's afraid of height, not incapable of tolerating them. She just doesn't like floating in midair, no gravity, no solid ground underneath her feet to give her confidence that she wasn't going to fall. Six years and she hadn't been able to overcome this by attending professor Vindictus' flying lessons.

And now Jonathan Kim was enjoying her begging him. How convenient.

She pouted at him and folded her arms across her chest. "Put me down." Like right about now. And when he did, she was going to tackle him and.... do something nasty. She was sure to come up with something once her feet touched the ground and her scheming mind stopped hovering in her head.

Jonathan was having fun with the whole activity. Seeing Louisa get scared over flying is just new to him. Not that he had something evil planned but it's just that he had never thought Louisa to be scared with something simple as this and especially flying. Definitely something new and crazy at the same time. You really do learn something each day. Jonathan's wand didn't raised nor lowered though, it stayed there as he looked at Louisa, possibly squealing or cursing at him. You can't really tell from where he was standing. She was high above.

Put me down.

Jonathan chuckled to himself and then gave her a firm nod. He lowered his wand and made sure he was slowly doing this, so that she could still have time to balance herself while she's up there. Ohhh, there's some pillows on one are. Jonathan made sure that Louisa landed over that place. "Balance yourself, prefect." he warned her.

Oh.

Darnit.

West made a face, feeling bad that his friend hadn't managed it. That didn't bode well for him, right?

Could he do it? West tried to look casual and nonchalant. Sure. SURE he could give it a try.

"Alright. I'll try."

BREATHE, ODESSA!

He held out his hand for the ball, waiting for Kaiden to toss it his way.

OH OH OH! She was descending! Louisa's face started to lose its sick color. Ground oh ground here she came. The instant her foot touched the pillow, Louisa sighed and let her body drop on the cushions. She closed her eyes for a moment enjoying the stability of the floor which was for NORMAL people to walk on. The slight freaking-out subsided and now she heard him tell her to 'balance herself'. Yeah, right. Louisa sat up, squinted her eyes at him.

With her hand, she threw one of the pillows at him. "That wasn't funny." And he definitely wasn't allowed to make fun of her fear of heights issue. She started standing up and patting her uniform, a smile was starting to form on her mouth as her mind did the math; Jonathan was creatively teasing her --> Jonathan was being himself again from previous years --> Jonathan's heart was healing --> they were back to being bicker-y again.

Louisa was happy to know that. Maybe her hot feelings toward the Gryffie Prefect will fade now.

Who was the chick? No one. NO ONE AT ALL. João seemed lost in thought for a moment while he flailed to come up with an answer, but luckily the professor came to aid to order them to partner up. Heh. Phew! That was close! Now, letting the question pass swiftly, he kept looking at him as he pondered partnering up. Why, was he scared? João's face broke into a smirk before he turned it into a pleasant smile when he finally agreed. The evil glint was still there, though. A little bit of fun wouldn't hurt, no. It was just so tempting...

Clever boy. João understood the plan of revenge right away, but that still wouldn't keep him from letting his hold drop. After all, Paulie did notice his eyes on that girl too, and he simply would be distracted by her again. It was almost too easy...

Getting his wand out, he swished and flicked on Paulie while trying the spell non-verbally. He'd been working on non-verbal spells for the whole summer since he was 17 now. It worked alright and Paulie was getting higher in the air. Then, he deliberately let his eyes fall in the general direction of that girl and...

He controlled the spell no more just when Paulie nearly hit the ceiling, but didn't. Because he wasn't that cruel to have hit his head to the ceiling, because he wanted all this to look like an accident but it was no accident when someone hit the ceiling, and most importantly, because Paulie would have a go after this, and João certainly didn't want to hit anywhere.

Sophie was really excited about the spell, that was probably why she didn't notice that Ella was looking elsewhere when she sent her the smiley ball. Oops... "I'm sorry, Ella!" She said placing one of her hands over her mouth and raising her eyebrows. And her friend went to retrieve their cool ball. "Alright!"

While waiting, Sophie looked around at some other students. Some of the older ones were having a hard time lifting the others up, huh? It did sound a lot more difficult than levitating a small ball anyway. She wondered when she would be able to do that!

ATTENTION! Ella was back with their SMILEY BALL! "Cool!" Se said with a smile. Getting her wand at the ready, Sophie swished and flicked it. "Wingardium Leviosa!" She almost said 'Leviooosaaaaaaaaaaaa' because of her excitment, but quickly decided otherwise. Who knew what could happen if she said it that way...!

Lalalalalalalalalaaaaaaa! She waved her wand around a little to make the ball fly more and sent it towards Ella in a zigzag motion. "Get that, Ella!" Mehehehe!

"'Kay" he said tossing the ball over to West. He really hoped the other boy would do better than he did.

"Are remember to be consistent, like your sister said." Wait! West had a sister? well, now wasn't the time to talk about it. "And good luck."

Pfft, saved by the professor! Paulie wasn't one to just 'let go' of things, but he decided that for the time being, they better focus on Charms instead of mystery girls.

So, Joao got out his wand and practiced the spell nonverbally. Paulie felt his feet lift from the ground and his body begin to float up and up and... okay, now he was getting quite close to the ceiling. And EVEN closer. Silently, he cursed the Slytherin on the ground and scrunched his eyelids closed in preparation for a head on collision with the ceiling. But, it never came. He opened his eyes and looked down at Joao.

"Gee, way to cut it -" ... Close.

The last thing Paulie saw was Joao's head swivel over in the direction of that girl he'd been staring at earlier, then he saw the classroom blur together as he dropped allllll the way down to the cushion. Thank Merlin for that cushion! Thanks to his ungraceful landing, he flustered and flailed his body around as he attempted to stand up. With his hair standing up every which way like a crazy person, he looked at Joao determinedly and grabbed his wand, which was fortunately unbroken from the fall, from his pocket. "My turn, Brazil Nut."

Smirk.

He tried the spell nonverbally as well, but it took Paulie at least five or six tries before it actually worked successfully. After the swish and flick, he kept his wand pointed on Joao as he raised him higher and higher. Now, being a seventh year, Paulie thought it only appropriate that he challenge himself, right? Surely implementing another spell would challenge him a little more..

So, with the traces of a smirk still evident on his lips, he used the locomotor spell to move Joao over some. Now, instead of hovering above his own cushion, the Slytherin moved over in the air and Paulie just so happened to 'accidently' bump him into the same girl whom he'd gotten distracted over before, the same one who apparently stole his attention away from Paulie and caused Joao to DROP Paulie.

And then... Paulie seemed to get butterfingers, for he fumbled with his wand, and it fell to the ground. Oooops. This could only mean that Joao would go falling fast, straight down to his new cushion by his lover girl, right?

And that's precisely what happened.

Alyssa felt herself slowly floating up in the air again. "WHEEEEEEEE....this is so much fun."she called down to Nora. "I think that I'm going to relax up here."Alyssa grinned down as she folded her arms behind her head and crossed her feet. "Higher...Go higher."she laughed down at Nora.

Either the Professor had not heard him or she didn't want to answer his question. Daichi looked around at his classmates as they all partnered up with each other. Leaving him standing alone one the carpet with his cheeks slightly puffed.

He didn't want to levitate a student! A quick glance to the Professor and the boy quickly walked to a corner of the room.

It seemed that everyone had a partner already so the only thing left to do was to practise with himself. Which was so much safer than practising with a partner! He should be getting house points or a golden star for this! Because he was being concidered about the others safety!

Sitting down on the carpet, Daichi got an idea. If no one wanted to be his partner...he would get his own. The Slytherin moved while still seated down to his bag and opened it up to pick out his plushed duck. With a wide smile, he sat the plushie in front of him.

HE HAD A PARTNER NOW~!

"Wingardium Leviosa!" Daichi swished and flicked his wand while he pointed it at the duck on the carpet. Nothing happened and he groaned. "Wingardium Leviosa!" the same wand movements and the Snake stared at his plushie intently. It moved...or ...he thought it did. It moved i tell ya, Mr.Duckles moved! Maybe he was just making himself believe that it had moved... He tried for a third time and when that failed as well he whipped the wand under the duck threw it in the air.

"I did it~!"

"I'm fine." Really he's. The ball was not hit him that hard it just caught him off guard that's all.

Messer saw Jordan started to levitate the ball and tossed it his way. Wand in hand then Swish and Flick. "Wingardium Leviosa!" The young badger managed to catch the ball just in time if he's late if he's late for a second the ball would make a contact with his face once again. One is more than enough, No?

Okay. Now his turn. "Jordan, catch!" he asked his partner before he sent the ball toward Jordan.

Jonathan crossed his arms as Louisa was now on the floor just like she wanted. What? It was not like he was hurting her or anything. He did try his best to put her down in the safest place as possible, which in this case are those pillows in that area. Jonathan is still grinning, still thinking that all this time he thought Louisa would never be afraid in flying. He thought wrong. It's a good thing Jonathan is an observer.... he tries to enjoy the little things.

Then she was all narrow eyes and saying that it wasn't funny? Not funny? Okay, so maybe to Jonathan it was but he just recently found out that Louisa is afraid of being hovered up in the air. Plus, her expressions were just epic. Funny. Hilarious. But before he could reply to her, a pillow came flying to his direction. He tried to stop it by catching it with both of hands but the pillow slipped through his hand easily. He probably deserved that. He did leave her there hanging for a long time when she told him that it was time for her to go down.

BUT IT WAS FUN.

He knows he was going to get more from Louisa after what she did. He's already imagining that she would come up to him with her hands on her wand ready to aim at him, you know those sort of things. She might probably cast the spell again to him and let him stay up there til the end of the class. HOWEVER, that is not happening. SHE'S SMILING? She's.... why???? Knowing Louisa, she would be already giving him a piece of her mind. Insult him or maybe a few witty, hilarious banters to go with it. Nope. She just smiled at him. Jonathan upper lip twitched and he just looked puzzled at that moment. He walked up to where she was "What?" he asked.

Ariana Was levitating the ball between her and Sarah When she saw Minnie came and got the ball that knocked into theirs moments before. "hey! that was your ball Min!?" she asked with a confused look

Right, they were all doing well for the most part, but they had time to improve and whaaa.

*blink*

Was that young hufflepuff girl blatantly disregarding her earlier instruction to take off her shoes and leave them in her bag or at the door? Sophia was not amused. She resisted the urge to ask her to leave her class and not come back, the headmaster perhaps would not like that.

"Miss Hyde, please be aware that you have a detention this afternoon. My instructions were simple enough to understand." She moved on.



A student had addressed her earlier right? But she had held up her hand indicating that she would get back to him when she was finished tending to the younger students. Noe she was done now and was moving on to the older student.

"No No Mr. Katharos. You need to have some faith in your abilities and your wand. You also need to put away that duck before I confiscate it and give to to the giant squid as a comfort snuggly." And she meant it too.

"You shall be my partner for a little bit until I have you join another set and have you take turns. Come over here by me, we'll do those wand movements again."

Was she really only five feet off of the ground? How in Merlin's name had she missed that? It was not that hard to see and, yet, Selina had been so panicked she thought that Kurumi was poof or something like that. Merlin, the redhead had a ton of issues. Perhaps, the person who needed the hospital was not Kurumi, but in fact Selina. Eh, what else was new? Everyone knew Selina was mental anyway and this only helped firm up some things. It was not like she was ashamed of who she was at all. It was just the way things were and she was just glad she had not maimed Kurumi.

With a smile she cheekily added, "Well I couldn't tell how far you were off the ground because you were hanging upside down... skewed the height and everything." She wished that she had gotten a photograph of Kurumi hanging upside down. It was one of the top Kurina class moments and they had quite a few... including breaking Selina's nose. That day was also a Charms class- go figure.

Then she saw Kurumi prepare to levitate Selina herself. The redhead moved a little so she was in sight of pillows so if she fell she would be alright like Kurumi had been. But then Kurumi said she was going to perform the task non-verbally. The fifth year's eyes widened and she choked out, [B"Wait... what? No! Don't do that- WOAH!"[/B]

Suddenly Selina was starting to lift up in the air and she shut her eyes tightly. She needed her broom, she wanted her broom, this was awkward and unnatural! Her hands stuck out to try and balance herself out in the air so she did not flip upside down like Kurumi. When she felt somewhat balanced she opened her eyes to see Kurumi standing there silently performing the spell perfectly non-verbally. Of course, Kurumi would have never have failed with anything in a class. She was the brightest witch of her age.

...but Selina was not. She did not like being suspended mid-air WITHOUT her broom. Her hands started to flail as she looked down at the ground. The more she flailed the more she noticed that she moved a little. Then a thought popped into her head. With a determined look on her face she started to move so her stomach was facing the floor and then she started to air swim over to Kurumi. Once she arrived she grabbed hold of her friend's collar and pleaded, "PUT ME DOWN!"

João just rolled his eyes when he pointed out it was his turn. As if it was a challenge or something. The most he could do, he would just let him fall like he did to him. No big deal. He almost wanted to yawn, but that would tempt him to be nastier, plus he wanted to play good with Paulie and all who had so much influence on Louisa. He even managed to look neutral when it took him about twenty hours to cast a simple non-verbal spell. See? He was playing it really nice and friendly. And now, Paulie would just let him fall and it would be alright.

He still had the height issue though, no matter how Paulie lifted him. He didn't like heights. In fact, if it was up to him, he would have all the houses only one-floor. Because then, he would be able to go on the balconies. Or even better, there wouldn't be any balconies and windows to avoid.

Closing his eyes shut when Paulie finally lifted him, he didn't open them while he almost begged that Paulie would be merciful to keep his head clear of the ceiling. His begging was heard alright and he didn't hit somewhere. But--but--was he moving?! He debated whether to open his eyes to see what was going on. He dstinctly heard that the professor only told them to levitate, not bloody move around! His eyes opened wild with terror, and before he could process where he was, he had already hit something in the air and fallen on his back not next to Paulie but next to Sierra.

He was quite lucky he wasn't paralysed or something for falling on his back for so many times in such a short space of time.
