Default Charms Lesson Two

The charms classroom has been completely transformed from the last time you were here. Instead of the hard well polished stone floor, there is a a fluffy white carpet
SPOILER!!: carpet
that covers the entire floor. Colourful cushions
SPOILER!!: cushions
are also placed in neat rows where the desks and chairs usually stood. In the corner of the room stands a large container filled with balls
SPOILER!!: balls
.

There is a sign just outside the door to the room in bold flashing letters :

Please remove your shoes and place them in your book bag or in to the side of the class. As is usual ensure that you are properly attired and neat. When you do enter, pick a cushion and sit on it, keep talking to a minimum.

There professor is standing at the front of the class with her arms folded waiting for you all to be seated.

A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.

"You shall be my partner for a little bit until I have you join another set and have you take turns. Come over here by me, we'll do those wand movements again."
She had noticed him?! O__o He knew he shouldn't have shouted out that he had done it. He looked up his seated position on the carpet and pushed his big black glasses up his nose. "But.." Daichi wanted to say but it was impossible to come inbetween her words. "I... WHAT?!" The moment the Snake had heard she would give his hero to the giant squid at the lake he automatically lay down on his back with the plushy under him. Guarding it. "Please don't give Mr.Duckles to the squid!

Eh? be her partner? So that meant she wasn't going to give his plushy to the squid right? "o-okay..." the fourth year muttered and slowly got up. Holding the plush duck, Daichi moved to the professor's side and placed the duck on the ground. Carefully so that it sat upright and he could see it hehe.

Instinct... an innate behavior in response to some sort of stimuli. It was instinct to grab on to the large mass of floating Slytherin when said floating mass bumped INTO her MID AIR. Mid air collision elicited Aspen's instincts to grab on; to not fall. It hadn't helped that she'd been ZEN and had her eyes closed and didn't notice WHICH mass of Slytherin she was grabbing onto.

Other survival instincts would have kicked if she'd know it was João.

Of course, it was too late though. João's momentum, Aspen's clinging... Gravity wins. Aspen landed in a little heap, all elbows and knees, somewhat on João, somewhat on a cushion.

...

See? Bad things happened no matter what Aspen thought. She just... laid there. Unmoving. Not hurt, but not wishing TO be hurt either. So she'd just... not move.

It was a good thing that Alyssa was enjoying herself, up there in the air. To be honest, Nora has always had this fright of heights, ever since she was much younger. But, of course, no one needed to know that. Besides, just hovering a bit above a super fluffy floor wasn't THAT bad.

She was snapped back to reality, though, when Alyssa wanted to go higher... again. Well, since she was so cheerful and all, why not have a little bit of fun? First, Nora lowered her wand slowly, and then moved it upwards... and down again... and up... and wached as Alyssa floated up and down. She wouldn't make any sudden moves, however, since she didn't want to see how long it took her to get sick and -

Finally lowering her wand until the girl was back on the carpet, Nora smiled at her. "Don't you want to practice?" If she didn't, Nora would be happy to levitate her again. Hehe.

This had to be a nightmare. In fact, João was quite positive it was, because only in nightmares he flew so high, only in nightmares he hit something in the ceiling, only in nightmares he fell with that thing clinging onto him.

He stiffled his groan though, because he knew that right before he fell asleep into this nightmare, Paulie hadn't even flinched upon falling from so high. He hadn't had this 70 kilos thing on him, though. João had. Despite the cushions, his back hurt a little.

But it was only a nightmare. Why the pain was so vivid?

He knew right away that that thing was Aspen, because he had fallen with his eyes wide open. The fall had lasted only for two seconds or so anyway, but luckily his brain processed it was her. He didn't know what to do though. And she lay there, on top of him, eyes still closed. She even clang to him! One day, he would be the cause of her death if they went at this rate. Or she, of his. But one of them would die soon, because they kept bumping at each other at quite dangerous situations. Maybe they weren't enough to kill a person, but close.

He couldn't even decide what he should do, but warning her was out of question until she saw him herself. Thus, lying there with her still clinging, he closed his eyes too for a moment out of despair and still hoped it was a nightmare. It just... it shouldn't be real.

Jonathan crossed his arms as Louisa was now on the floor just like she wanted. What? It was not like he was hurting her or anything. He did try his best to put her down in the safest place as possible, which in this case are those pillows in that area. Jonathan is still grinning, still thinking that all this time he thought Louisa would never be afraid in flying. He thought wrong. It's a good thing Jonathan is an observer.... he tries to enjoy the little things.

Then she was all narrow eyes and saying that it wasn't funny? Not funny? Okay, so maybe to Jonathan it was but he just recently found out that Louisa is afraid of being hovered up in the air. Plus, her expressions were just epic. Funny. Hilarious. But before he could reply to her, a pillow came flying to his direction. He tried to stop it by catching it with both of hands but the pillow slipped through his hand easily. He probably deserved that. He did leave her there hanging for a long time when she told him that it was time for her to go down.

BUT IT WAS FUN.

He knows he was going to get more from Louisa after what she did. He's already imagining that she would come up to him with her hands on her wand ready to aim at him, you know those sort of things. She might probably cast the spell again to him and let him stay up there til the end of the class. HOWEVER, that is not happening. SHE'S SMILING? She's.... why???? Knowing Louisa, she would be already giving him a piece of her mind. Insult him or maybe a few witty, hilarious banters to go with it. Nope. She just smiled at him. Jonathan upper lip twitched and he just looked puzzled at that moment. He walked up to where she was "What?" he asked.
[/QUOTE]

Louisa broke into a quiet laughter and threw one arm around his shoulders, tiptoeing to reach him. "Nothing to trouble your snaky head, my friend." She snickered and slowly let go of his shoulders, she was done being friendly and nice. And they were done so fast... oh how good both of them were! "Maybe I should try it non-verbally." Smirking at Jonathan for his approval. Mind you, though, she usually didn't get the spells right the first few times but Louisa wanted to--

THUD!

Her attention was directed toward the heap positioned somewhere in the class. Two bodies lying on top of each other. Motionless. The upper body was smaller than the one beneath it which had long legs and blondish ha-

JOAO?!!!

The Prefect gasped quietly and frowned at the scene. Joao, the jerk ex, was lying on the floor with A GIRL on top of him. Louisa's lips were pursed so hard together they lost color. WHAT was going on? How did the couple ended up in such an INAPPROPRIATE situation? She scowled and snapped her head away from them, grabbing Jonathan's arm and dragging him along with her. "Let's go to the other end of the classroom." Grrrr.

He still had the height issue though, no matter how Paulie lifted him. He didn't like heights. In fact, if it was up to him, he would have all the houses only one-floor. Because then, he would be able to go on the balconies. Or even better, there wouldn't be any balconies and windows to avoid.

Closing his eyes shut when Paulie finally lifted him, he didn't open them while he almost begged that Paulie would be merciful to keep his head clear of the ceiling. His begging was heard alright and he didn't hit somewhere. But--but--was he moving?! He debated whether to open his eyes to see what was going on. He dstinctly heard that the professor only told them to levitate, not bloody move around! His eyes opened wild with terror, and before he could process where he was, he had already hit something in the air and fallen on his back not next to Paulie but next to Sierra.

He was quite lucky he wasn't paralysed or something for falling on his back for so many times in such a short space of time.

Okay, Paulie didn't want to give away how clearly amused he was, but.... he couldn't help but laugh out loud when the lover girl clung onto Joao like a magnet right before the two fell helplessly to the cushioned floor. Why did she do this, silly girl? Maybe she wanted to be close to Joao or something, Merlin help her.

His laughter reduced to a quiet chuckle before it finally subsided. Paulie strolled on over to the two on the floor. He was concealing his amusement quite well now, actually, and when he approached them, his expression looked as though he was accusing them of being silly and at fault.

He shook his head and sighed as he looked to Sierra, then he folded his arms and kicked Joao a bit with his shoe. "Now, now, you two. I know you'd like to lie in each others' arms forever, but we do have the swish and flick to master."

Heh heh.

Zen. Aspen was Zen. She was trying to convince herself (without success) that if she didn't think bad things, bad things wouldn't happen.

Sierra just stood there, balancing her wand in mid-air, as she rose Aspen higher and higher. What was the girl doing anyway? Meditating? At this rate, Sierra could accidentally drop her, and the girl would never see it coming. What a Hufflepuff. A Slytherin would never be so trusting.

Right?!

...THUD.

Wait. WHERE WAS ASPEN?! ...and was what just happened what she really thought just happened?! Her body didn't move, but her eyes darted downward, and there lay Aspen clinging helplessly to some Slytherin boy.

...hmm. Well, apparently there some Slytherins who fell into the way too trusting category. ...and just what if the professor happened to look their way right about now?! She'd think Sierra to be a FAILURE, and Sierra was no loser. "Get up, Aspen," she spat through gritted teeth. "Wingardium Leviosa, Wingardium Leviosa, Wingardium Leviosa!" Her wand was bobbing up and down so quickly that she wasn't even close to the proper wand movements, and therefore she didn't imagine Aspen would go anywhere anytime soon.

Sighing, she dropped her wand by her side. Was the professor looking?! If so, Sierra was going to start wagging an accusing finger toward the Head Boy. As it was, though, she found herself walking a few steps forward to the heap of people just before her. Leaning down, she surveyed them, and then ever so bluntly said, "Good one, Juliet." Insert smirk. "...and this time, you even managed to take Romeo down with you."

"Whoa....head rush!!" Alyssa laughed when she was finally back on solid ground. "The feeling of being levitated is really awesome. I wish that I could do that non-verbally like Kurumi is doing over there" Alyssa looked over where Kurumi was performing the spell. "But she's a lot smarter than I and a lot older. Maybe one day. Yes I would like to practice again. Ready?"

Alyssa waited until Nora was in place and then she took out her wand. Concentrating on the spell and what she intended to do, she looked at Nora and with a swish and a flick of her wand, said, "WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA" and pointed it at Nora.

Nora slowly levitated a few feet off the ground. As Alyssa continued to concentrate on what she intended to do, she moved her wand upwards moving Nora a little higher until she was floating over the cushions. Alyssa then moved to the left, and Nora floated towards the left off the room. Alyssa then gently moved her wand to the right and Nora floated slowly towards the right.

"Are you okay up there? Not air sick or anything are you? If you are just let me know and I'll stop moving you around."Alyssa told Nora as she now kept her floating in one position.

He has plans, he wants to live long. Have mercy on this boy.

Oakey tried the spell with a little EXTRA swish movement making Mordred cringe and felt his feet rise a few centimetres off the ground. And when he did the flick, Mordred felt a push on his chest losing his balance and fell on the floor face up.

THUD.

“Merlin’s underpants.” Mordred closed his eyes secretly thanking Merlin and Bellaire for the wonderful carpet and cushions.

This is going to be a long class for such basic spell.
Oakey would calm down if Mordy would stop yelling at him to do so. Working under pressure was hard stuff for such a simple spell. He started to calm down when he saw that Mordy was being lifted in the air, so much so that he swished his wand to hard and knocked Slytherin to the ground.
Lowering his wand Oakey stepped forward and offered him his hand. I almost had it. He said pulling his friend up to his feet. Don't worry, I was kidding about the shrinking charm. I was angry with myself and took it out on you, He cracked a smile. I'm sure if I DID cast the shrinking spell, you have one really tiny tie.

He kept his wand lowered and stood back. Give me a moment to gather myself again, Oakey said. Why don't you give the spell a try?

Heh heh.

THAT got Odessa eyes open, WIDE and BRIGHT and ... oh when had she grabbed her wand?

SPOILER!!: .... sigh. Unhelpful partner. THANKS SIERRA.

Right?!

...THUD.

"Shut up, Sierra," a RARE, RARE, who was even speaking? RARE moment of RAWR from the elder Odessa. She shimmied off of Joao...sort of... mostly. Getting off of him wasn't even important anymore.

Aspen set her wand to CHARMS, the crazy new wand that worked when it FELT like it and cast a LOUD...

POTENT...

WILD....

"WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA," at the 7th year Head Boy. She wasn't sure if she aimed steadily, but if the charm DID hit him.... that HEAD BOY would be HITTING BOY HEAD on the CEILING (and hopefully not on fire too? It was a new wand and all.... so...).

Temper? Maybe.

She was still on Joao. Yeah? So. And Sierra? Shut up.

And West? Don't look - Big Sister is busy.

Genuinely surprised, Sierra blinked then took a big step backward. Had Odessa just told her to SHUT UP?! ...but, but, but--she'd been just about to help her up! Honestly, she had! You know Sierra--the hero here to save the day! Right? Right? Right? Err, who was she kidding? She was only in this for herself.

...but then things started happeneing left and right, and Sierra thought it best to just take another step backward and watch from a distance that wasn't involved in the line of fire. "Err, I think that spell was supposed to be for me?" she asked. The Head Boy--SHEESH. If that spell got him levitated, he'd likely fly through the CEILING. Yes. Yes it was best to stay out of the line of fire.

A Ravenclaw with a wand? Eh, that was a good tool for possible cheating. An angry Ravenclaw with a wand? Right. Even Sierra was smart enough to think that one out and get out of the way. Odessa was really digging her own grave here...

Do it non-verbally? Pffft. "Don't remind me," Nora sighed, "because I keep trying as well, and nothing would work." Non-verbally, that is. When she'd asked her father how he did those non-verbal spells, he told her that she'd have to wait until she gets older, yadda yadda yadda. But now that she is older... it still won't work. Well, the first time she'd asked, she had been eleven or twelve... she was fourteen now, almost fifteen, and she STILL couldn't cast non-verbal spells.

Sigh.

Lost in her thoughts, Nora gasped when she couldn't feel the carpet underneath her anymore, since she didn't really hear Alyssa when she asked her if she was ready. She slowly got higher and higher, and it felt alright, until... uhm... "N-not sick," she said as she floated from one side to the other, "j-just... a b-bit afraid of... heights." Just hovering was one thing, but moving like that... Eeeek!

"But maybe... it's t-the best chance to get over... this fear?" One could only hope.

Heheh. Oh, lordy. Looks like Joao's 'girl' wasn't getting much sympathy from the Slytherin prefect. Paulie tried not to chuckle when she repeatedly attempted to save some face by casting the spell again and again. Only... she seemed a bit too angry to succeed.

Oh. Whoa.. it looked like the Ravenclaw was getting pretty heated. Actually, no that was not accurate. SHE WAS LIVID.

Paulie only realized the danger he was in when it was too late. Her wand was pointed straight at him and she yelled the loudest, most determined 'Wingardium Leviosa' he had ever, ever, EVERRRRRR heard. He knew he was in for it.

Yiiiiikes!!

Okay, maybe she grabbed someone else's wand because not only was Paulie SHOOTING up toward the ceiling super fast, but he was being flipped and flopped and somersaulted around like a limp noodle as he ascended! WHAT WAS HAPPENING?! He didn't have much time to think, though, because moments later, he did a horribly ungraceful backwards somersault RIGHT into the ceiling. His head took the brunt of it. "OWWWWW! OW, OW, OWW!" And he continued floating. And doing the weird flippy floppy things with his body. And he was becoming incredibly dizzy....

"JOAO! Put your lover girl on a LEASH or something!"

And also get him down this instant. Nicely. And without somersaults. Was that too much to ask?

Elliot had her wand put, ready to put a stop to any type of revenge the Slytherin might take, but all the other girl did was lift the ball up into the air really high. Okay...okay...catch it!

Elliot held out her arms, waiting for the ball to drop. PLUNK. It fell right into her arms. YAY. "I didn't mean to hit you, I really am sorry. I won't do that again..." she told the girl with a grin. She flicked her wand and said the incantation, the ball lifted into the air again. She made it do little twirls in the air, circles, and tried to make it somewhat of a challenge. She snapped her wrist, and let the ball fall, hopefully into Zhenya's arms.
Zhenya smiled at Elliot and said "It's okay, didn't really hurt just... hit my nose is all," really it was all good. Zhenya had been given a lot worse on the Quidditch field by balls a lot bigger and harder.

Zhenya let the ball bounce on the ground and as it came back up, she quickly said "Wingardium Leviosa," and pointed, swished and flicked at the ball which went right up high, bounced off the ceiling and came back down. Zhenya was still able to control it though, and she manouvered it near Elliot then let her spell break.

Oh. Oh. Paulie just didn't suggest they were lovers. No thank you, João would rather die alone than to be lover of Aspen. Had they not been in a classroom with a teacher in it, he would have cursed and put the boy in his place alright. He would also have done something appropriate at Sierra for Romeo and Juliet reference--why did all of them think they were involved in l-o-v-e activities anyway? And why wasn'tAspenmovingoffhim?! Had he planned on thinking Sierra? Had he really planned to buy Aspen the best Brazilian chocolate? Bullocks!

If only Aspen was off him, it wouldn't be so bad. Then, he really would hit Paulie's head to the ceiling. It would be so hard that his silly smirking head would bob right out of the next--

He nearly jumped when Aspen yelled that spell. Moving his head in an upside-down position which soon got alright because of Paulie's ascend, it was his turn to laugh out loud. The boy looked so funny there that--

His eyes fell on Aspen, and he stopped laughing immediately. Right. It was her anger that caused his amusement. He wasn't sure if he was allowed to even react to any of her actions. He certainly didn't want to be the target of such a spell too. He loved his head too much to hit it any time soon. He just looked at her for a moment, all humour draining him. No, he couldn't even dare speak. How could he? He didn't even have any right to speak to her, although he still believed what he did had been correct. Ignoring Paulie's silly comment about 'lovers' again, he kept silent and timid. All he could do was to move even tiniest bit, so she would still see he was alive under her and maybe get the message. He wasn't sure if she felt his move, though, with that hot head dealing with Paulie.

Last time he was this timid, he was about 9 and his mother had been scolding him. He didn't like the feeling that Aspen had on him. Hopefully, she wouldn't notice it.

She answered his question with a nod of her head, though that seemed to be unnecessary, as Max had gone and taken a seat anyway.

A moment was taken in which she chewed her lip out of concentration and nerves and, while she felt it silly just a few moments ago, practiced the wand motion. Getting prepared to levitate her friend was taken a lot more seriously than idly waving her wand around to show Bellaire she was capable of a swish and a flick.

"Ready, then? I'm doing it verbally so you'll be prepared." And because she didn't trust herself to properly lift a full grown sixteen-year-old boy non-verbally. Though perhaps he'll let her play around with it later. It really depended on whether he was willing to take the chance to be bruised or not. Not that he wasn't risking it now, but Ellie was confident she could go through this safely.

She raised her wand. "Wingardium Leviosa." She swished, flicked, and watched her friend rise into the air.
Max observed Ellie's preparation. Was she... nervous? She shouldn't be, he thought. Ellie was a fine witch; of course she would be able to levitate him. He wasn't worried. But when she asked him if he was ready, he nodded and shut his eyes, still trying to appear calm. He slowly exhaled, as if the expulsion of air from his lungs would somehow make him lighter. He waited.

And then he felt himself separate from the ground.

Max's eyes shot open and he kept himself in his ball, but he tilted his head sideways as he peered down at the ground while he rose in the air. He suddenly felt anxious, almost sick, and worried if he tilted his body he would fall. The feeling quickly passed, however, and he felt his body relax. It was kind of... fun? He even dared to smile.

But, of course, the sickly feeling returned again when he heard a THUMP and saw Aspen... clinging to a Slytherin boy? Surely by accident. Max had once heard that there was an unspoken rule among Ravenclaw girls that Slytherin boys were a big no-no. And then, seemingly as soon as the fall had happened, Aspen had her wand pointed on the Head Boy. And then he realized... how could anyone concentrate with such a distraction...? "Elliedon'tdropme!"

"Oh I didn't know that you were afraid of heights." Alyssa told her, slowly moving her wand down, so that Nora wasn't floating as high as she was earlier.

"You know, the one way to overcome your fear, is to attend Flying Lessons. At least you'll be flying on a broom and the chances of falling are lesser. Do you mind if I try something? Don't worry I'm not going to let you fall."

Alyssa then slowly moved her wand until Nora was facing vertically with her legs pointed down. Concentrating really hard, Alyssa slowly moved her wand downwards until Nora was safely on the ground, feet first.

"Yay I managed to do that without dropping you. Do you want to practice again?" Alyssa offered her.

...never going to get put down. Not after that leash comment. Aspen kept her wand trained on him, more or less testing it out. It was POWERFUL, this new wand, but not... disciplined.

Even if she was about to be in big, big trouble, even Aspen was impressed with her levitation skills. Who else was spinning Head Boys at the ceiling? Just Aspen.

Well, Lily hoped that Violet was ready because they needed to get started.

Carefully, Lily swished and flicked her wand, uttering "Wingardium Leviosa..." But the ball didn't move even the slightest bit. After a deep breath, she tried again. "Wingardium Leviosa!" This time, after a swish and a flick, the ball jumped into the air. Slowly, Lily tried to direct the ball over towards Violet, hoping that her friend would be ready to take over once the ball got close enough. All she had to do now was stay focused.

Oooo, look! An older student is floating in the air!!
Violet hurried over to a spot because they hadn't even started practicing the spell yet. She watched as Lily attempted to do the spell. After a few tries, she got in the air and Violet clapped. "Yeah! Good job Lily!" Then she caught the ball in her hands. It was light weight so it can't be that hard to do the spell right? The second year placed the ball on the ground, then took out her wand to attempt the spell.

She repeated the wand motion in her head while tracing it with her wand in the air.

Swish and flick
swish and flick

Now Violet was ready. Pointing her wand at the ball, she swished and flicked her wand and said in a steady voice, Wingardium Leviosa" The ball didn't budge. Violet sighed and tried again and with the same swish and flick, she said, "Wingardium Leviosa!" The ball rose in the air slowly and Violet concentrated with all her might to guide it back to Lily. Finally, the spell was harder than she thought.

Not that João didn't enjoy the show. On the contrary, he wanted to hug Aspen for thanks for taking care of Paulie for him. Despite all his efforts of being friendly and trying to see the boy in a friendly way, João just couldn't resist that evil inside him that prodded him into doing mischief. But Aspen, the wonder of Aspen had done that for him. And he got the same amount of entertainment out of it. Her way of taking care of people was just quite unique.

When she talked to him though, he was quite relieved. Because she spoke normally, as if that nasty encounter had never happened between them. And João observed that this new wand was quite strong that it was a real weapon in her hands. She was welcome. Whenever she needed, he would blast her wand again.

Hehe.

Or maybe not. Smirking evilly, he said as quietly as he could so that only she would hear it: "Just drop him, then." That was what he did, simply, to him. So why shouldn't Aspen simply let him... fall, as well?

Sophia took hold of Daichi's hand and used it to do the swish and flick motion with it repeatedly. She was about to ask him to try it on his own when the commotion where the older students were caught her ears. She started scowling before she even turned to see what was happening.

It took all her efforts to maintain an even tone when talking to Daichi.

"Mr.Katharos go practice the charm with Miss Hutchinson. You may use the balls, I need to go tend to those students." She always snarled the words out. With a quick motion of her wand she pointed Indie to Daichi. They better get at it right away, her mood was rapidly going south.

"Enough!" And if they were stupid enough to continue by all means, it was their heads.

"Fifty points from each of you and detention. You are suppose to be setting a positive example for the younger students and look at you. On your feet NOW." Did you see the steam coming from her ears? Because she was sure she could feel it.

"All of you to the back of the classroom, face the wall. If I hear a word from any of you it will be ten points off for every syllable." If they thought she was joking they could test her....They were sooo welcomed to. Why did they think she would stand for this madness?

She turned back to the rest of the class.

"Does anyone else want to lose points? If not, continue as instructed."
She glared at all of them.

Even if something did go wrong he wouldn't get hurt, seeing as the professor had put up all those safety precautions in the form of cushions and the fluffy carpet. So it would be okay. Yes.

He still didn't like somebody pointing his wand at him.

And then all of a sudden he felt his body getting lighter...and lighter and he somehow felt as if he was weightless, as if he was in space or something. BECAUSE HE WAS FLYING!!! For real. Without help of a broom. The Slytherin Prefect was making him fly. All his fears of what could go wrong with another boy pointing his wand at him were momentarily gone. Probably due to the adrenaline suddenly coursing through him. This feeling, it was amazing.

His eyes wandered around the room for a moment, resting on a few people at random for a few seconds - and on Kurumi a little longer - before going back to Kennedy. Oh right. He should probably get him down again right? Since he would want to experience this too. "Y-you can lower me again." Slowly if possible. "Please." Okay now he was slowly going back to feeling nervous about this. His life was basically in the hands of a guy he hardly knew.

Hehe, Kennedy felt like a true magician making this boy fly. He almost wanted a cool cape to go along with it. As he levitated Lewis higher and higher Kennedy noticed he didn't seem uncomfortable. He almost wanted to set him down and make him fly.

At his request, Kennedy began to carefully bring Lewis back down when his eyes picked up Aspen, a Slytherin boy he's seen around, the Head Boy and...Sierra. Then the Head Boy was levitated by what seemed like a mad Aspen. He didn't know what was going on nor did he pay much attention to it, he just hoped Sierra wasn't in the line of fire. You know...he didn't want her to get hurt. It was normal for him to feel like that, right? Right. She was his partner after all...as Prefects go.

Kennedy had gotten a bit distracted until he remembered he still had a Flying!Lewis. Crud. He had been lowering his wand a bit too fast, but slowed down before the guy hit the ground. "Sorry," he said with a guilty expression. At least he didn't drop him.

It was all good, right?

Then...... O___________________O

Fifty points?!

That...that was a lot.

Kennedy set Lewis down before he dropped him for real this time. He followed instructions, but a small frown was present on his forehead. That Slytherin boy was involved. That meant THEY lost points. But...Sierra. Had she lost them too?

Oooo... it almost looked like the ball sent in Violet's direction was going to hit her on the head. Luckily though, Violet had managed to catch the ball. With that Lily beamed. "Thanks!" She said somewhat timidly. Hopefully she would be able to do that again when it was her turn.

For now, while Violet got ready, Lily's mind started to wander, causing her to look around and see... well, she wasn't sure what she was seeing. Her eyes popped open, but then were turned away once the professor started yelling. All the redhead knew was to make sure that she didn't get in trouble and loose more points after Ravenclaw had already lost 50 points.

Turning back to Violet, Lily waited for the ball to head over towards her. After a couple of tries on her partner's part, the ball flew over and Lily carefully caught it and placed it on the ground. "Nice job! Here it comes!!" It was her turn again so she gripped her wand, did the motion and spoke clearly with conviction. "Wingardium Leviosa!!" The ball shot up and zoomed over towards Violet faster than it had the first time. Lily tried to slow it down and keep it under control, but that wasn't quite working. The ball had a beeline course for Violet and didn't seem to be slowing or moving no matter what Lily did. "Look out Violet!!!"
