The charms classroom has been completely transformed from the last time you were here. Instead of the hard well polished stone floor, there is a a fluffy white carpet
SPOILER!!: carpet
that covers the entire floor. Colourful cushions
SPOILER!!: cushions
are also placed in neat rows where the desks and chairs usually stood. In the corner of the room stands a large container filled with balls
SPOILER!!: balls
.
There is a sign just outside the door to the room in bold flashing letters :
Please remove your shoes and place them in your book bag or in to the side of the class. As is usual ensure that you are properly attired and neat. When you do enter, pick a cushion and sit on it, keep talking to a minimum.
There professor is standing at the front of the class with her arms folded waiting for you all to be seated.
Sarah watched as the ball loomed closer. A purple orb whirling towards her. Her wand hand was out, her wand clasped firmly. "Winggardium leviosa" she said. The ball didn't move. She said it again, yet still nothing happened. The birds outside were watching eagerly. Then Sarah clicked, nothing was happening because she wasn't concentrating. "I can do this" she told herself. With a determined look on her face she said it again, making to pronounce each syllable with care - wonder of wonders the ball lifted just a touch. Sarah tried again, her concentration etched on her face - It soared upwards. This was fun. She passed the ball back to her partner.
Ariana was proud when the firstie actually got it "good job sarah!" she then caught the ball with wingardium leviosa before it even touched her hand and sent it back to sarah.

"Thank you" said Sarah genuinely. "Yet it was really you that showed me how to do it. You set a PRIME example" she said her eyes earnest. It has been said that ones eyes are a window to their soul. Someone should've added that Sarah and her expressive eyes are a prime example. Although her mother often berated her for 'wearing her feelings on her sleeve', Sarah counted that one should not lie and must always be genuine yet sweet. Swish flick went her wand, as Wingardium Leviosa went her mouth. The ball went into the atmosphere. This was fun, and besides Ariana is a great partner. Better yet, it is great playing ball without worrying that her fingers are going to be hurt. The ball was on its way to Ariana when another ball collided with it.

Ariana raised an eyebrow at the girl "well, ok then." she said as she watched another ball collide with her's she didnt care whos it was it had ruined there perfect pace. "Hey!" she said looking around trying to see who's ball it was. when no one claimed the ball she just went back to her work and levitated the ball back to sarah.
"Wierd" said Sarah with a shrug. The ball was coming back to her, quickening its pace as it came. "Does this work at a longer distance?" Sarah asked. "Let me move a stride back" she said, taking a few steps away from the older girl. "There, that is better", she said. Her wrist flicked instinctively as the ball came this time. It was getting the hang of it. "Wingardium Leviosa"she said. The ball moved. It didn't look like it was going to make it to Ariana. It seemed to be lodged midway. Sarah nudged it along in her mind. It made it!
Laura looked around she had no idea why the Professor hadn't notice she still had her shoes on but well she wasn't taking them off, now all she had to do was find a Partner but who should she be partners with.

"of course it'll work long distances." she said to the girl as if she didnt know, before realizing she was a first year "yeah." she said awkwardly ad she levitated the ball back to her now getting bored. Ariana sat down on the carpet, there was no need to stand.

Nigel saw some other person without a partner so he went up to her and asked "Hi I'm Nigel do you want to be partners?"
Laura looked at the guy, well he seemed okay and if he was a firstie like he seemed then the Professor couldn't tell them off if things when wrong. "I'd love to be your partner, I'm Laura Hope Hyde." She smiled. "But you can call me Laura." Seriously they could be partners and work or maybe they could talk the Professor wouldn't mind.

Nigel was happy he finally had a partner for this lesson. But now they had to play catch using the spell. He did not have that much practice with it other than swish and flick with his imaginary wand. But he was willing to try and master it by the end of the lesson if he could. "Hi Laura, do you want start or should I". Nigel did not care either way.

Ok that last bit had the older Ravenclaw laughing a bit "Well, maybe you should sit first, nice, comfortable and stable, since this spell might make things a little wobbly for a person." to say the least. There was a reason why Mobilicorpus was created "When I get you to a proper height off the ground you can strike a pose."If only he had his wizarding camera with him. Or he could accio it, should be easier for him since he was in the castle.
"Right you are, sir," Spike replied, with a cheeky wink at the older 'Claw and mini salute. And then he plopped himself down cross legged in the middle of the cushions. He wiggled and patted a few of the nearby ones down, making sure the general vicinity was safe - more for when he was doing the casting than that he didn't trust Vickers. Spike didn't really care about a few bruises, though if he got a broken arm before the match, Ellie probably wouldn't be too impressed.
Happy and comfortable, Spike gave his partner a nod to signal he was ready. "Beam me up, Scotty!" he announced, looking eagerly to the ceiling.
Kennedy almost frowned when he heard what their next task was. Almost. He kinda wanted to levitate balls, but the thought of levitating a person was also fun. Just...they better not drop him. He'll sue. The sixteen year old got up from his cushion and slightly stretched his back.
Okay, he was ready.
Oh right, first he needed a partner. He glance around. "Any sixth year need a partner?"
O_____o
They were supposed to do what?! Levitate...EACH OTHER?! Lewis just stared at the professor for a moment with his mouth slightly hanging open. But...but that would mean that...that somebody was going to...where was Kurumi!? But the moment he had spotted her, it was quite obvious that she had already teamed up with Selina. Normally he really would never ever think that but right at this moment he wished that Selina was far far away. Just so he could have partnered up with Kurumi. Because he trusted her enough not to just let him drop him. Literally.
Chewing on his lip, Lewis pulled his gaze away from Kurumi and allowed his eyes to dart around the room for a moment, looking for somebody else to team up with. Maybe he could just work with the younger studen- That was the moment he heard somebody ask if any of the sixth years still needed a partner. "M-me! I still need a partner." It was only then that he actually spotted the person who had spoken up. It was the Slytherin Prefect. The one whose cat's name was Oliver.

She well understood the difficulty of having to partner up in lessons, when there might not be that many people to actually pair up with. It was her own problem for not necessarily having spoken to as many people around her own age as opposed to ones who had already graduated, or ones who were younger. She didn't need to place that same problem onto other people, although she'd smiled as he'd verified her question of his name. At least she'd remembered that much, even if it seemed he'd had amoment of discomfort as to why. "Yes," she verified, as he'd stumbled his way through his own memories. "Arithmancy last term, I think. I'm not sure." That was the problem with making the acquaintance of people during lessons. It wa shard to tell if she'd made the same impact as they had on her.
But then he'd left it up to her to decide whether or not she wanted to attempt to levitate him or if she wanted to be levitated, and a thoughtful expression crossed her face. There were plenty of arguments as to either option, really. Going first and getting things over with was in the lead, honestly, but going first worked both ways. "Hmm, maybe you try to levitate me first? I'd think size might matter, or something. Or ability," she said, semi-thinking aloud. Of course, she wasn't exactly going to ask him his weight, or how proficient he was in the spell. Neither question seemed very polite, and she still had the idea of going first running through her mind. Everything was just awkward, really.
Gideon nodded as she...Stella confirmed that that was indeed her name which was certainly a good thing. No mix-ups were needed and no other name was coming to mind as an option so if it hadn't be Stella he would have been clueless as to what her name could have been. Certainly not Alyssa...she was a Huffie and younger, not older. Arithmancy huh...aye that sounded like it could be right. "Aye...perhaps," he spoke agreeing somewhat as to the class they had first worked together side by side. They did sometimes do group work in the class under Professor Hadley's tutelage.
"Alright," he replied giving in to her preference. He could do it he believed seeing as the spell wasn't all that hard. What made it challenging was controlling it to avoid injury to the person one was levitating. A ball or even a feather certainly didn't feel so you didn't have to worry if you dropped them. Taking his wand out of his pocket, Gideon raised it slightly as he took a deep breath to gather his control. "Wingardium Leviosa!" he cast finally, moving his wand in a clear swish-and-flick movement Focusing his attention on the task at hand, the Gryffindor aimed at Stella's center of gravity in hopes of not jostling her around too much.
"Nice to meet you, Jordan." He gave the older boy a curt nod. Okay that's good to hear that the boy didn't mind to partner up with a second year.
Messer was waching closely while Jordan did the hover charm on the ball. He didn't want to make a mistake after all. The young badger followed his partner to an empty space across the classroom. Messer saw the ball coming toward him. Swish and Flick. "Wingardium Leviosa!" But unfortunately he was too late, the ball made contact with his right eye before it fell to the ground. "Ouch!" he rubbed his eye.
"Sorry about that." He's not ready yet or was that because he did something wrong with the wand movement? Either way he failed to catch the ball. "Let me try that again. I think I'm more ready now." Messer told his partner
Jordan gasped as the ball hit Messer in the face, "Are you okay? he asked the younger boy. When he said he was ready to try again Jordan levitated the ball back to himself and then casted it back towards Messer with a little less power. "Try and catch it Messer!" he said enthusiastically.
Silvia looked around as many of her classmates quickly found partners and got started with the activity. She didn't really care much for group work, and she would have been fine with practicing the spell by herself. But they were told they had to partner up. "Anyone still need a partner?" she asked

Okaay. So she neeeded a partner. Indy mused, looking around. She wanted a partner. Come on people, she was totally the cutest third year. So everyone would want to be her partner right? Hmm. "Anybody need a partner?" She asked with a grin. Comee on. There had to be some one who didn't have a partner. And it wasn't as if Indy wasn't very good spells. She was good. Well she liked to think that she was good anyway. She looked around the people, and smiled at them. One of them would want to partner with her right?

Nigel was confused he thought he told her his name already. But whatever maybe he didn't. "Oh sorry i forgot to say my name is Nigel".
He starts the swish and flick a couple of time with his wand this time ready to say Wingardium Leviosa. He took a deep breath and thought he was ready. He started to swish and flick his wand for real and yelled "Wingardium Leviosa!". The ball magically went up into the air and hung there. Nigel had a big smile on his face because he got the spell to work. He let the ball hang in the air for a couple of second and then said to the older girl "Um Laura are you ready to catch it". He flick his wand towards her and the ball sailed towards her.

Ella nodded, thinking Sophie was probably right. "You know, I was a bit nervous. The b all just came at me pretty fast and I was all ..." And she flailed her arms in the air dramatically with a smile. "Thanks for the tip, I'll try to calm down a bit and see what happens." And she was sure she would get it this time...hopefully.
Holding her wand out in front of her, Ella pointed it at the ball sitting idly on the carpet. She glanced over at Soph and gave her friend a small smile and a nod. She was going to get started. With a deep breath, Ella made the now familiar swish and flick movement with her wand, more pronounced this time. "Wingardium Leviosa!" O__O The second year's eyes grew wide as the ball immediately flew into the air in front of her, hovering there. "I'm doing it." She said quietly to Soph, chancing a glance at her friend. After a minute of admiring the fact that she had actually accomplished the first part of the task, she looked up at Soph again. "Sorry, I was just so surprised I did that." GRIN "Your turn again, ready-set-catch!"
Sophie laughed when Ella flailed her arms in the air. That was such a fun class! She clapped her hands together when Ella managed to do the spell right. "Well done, Ella!!" She said happily, getting ready to catch the smiley ball!
She chuckled at her friend's reaction to the levitationg ball. It was pretty neat, that spell, Sophie wasn't surprised Ella was fascinated by it. "Cool!" She said once the ball came floating in her direction, her wand at the ready!. Oooooo!! Swish and flick! "Wingardium Leviosa!" Her eyebrows raised when she almost got hit in the face. "Whoa, that was close!" She said smiling at Ella when she saw the ball hovering right in front of her.
"There you go again, Ella!" She added, motioning her wand frontwards.

He glanced around the room, his eyes mostly on the ball side. What if he accidentally levitated a ball and accidentally played catch with someone? Nah. That'd be much too childish and he had an example to set...which was to follow the rules and levitate a person instead.
Right.
Kennedy then turned to the voice that sounded after his. Hey! It the Hufflepuff Prefect. He waved at him and took his wand out from it's holster. Time to get levitating and floating. "So...you want to do the levitating first or shall I?" He was ready. Kennedy had finally had a good night's sleep so it was natural that he was pumped to do this activity. Or maybe it was because his mood has been lighter...
Nigel was confused he thought he told her his name already. But whatever maybe he didn't. "Oh sorry i forgot to say my name is Nigel".

Ella appreciated the clapping, it made her feel much better, especially since she had failed on her first try. "Thank you, thank you!" Her confidence was renewed now and she was so ready to continue the fun. GRIN.
O__O Ella's eyes grew wide when she almost got hit in the face and she started to laugh. "Sophie! Merlin, you're right! That was close." Though she had been able to stop it in time, and good thing too. Who knew those balls could be so dangerous?
Now it was Ella's turn again and this time when the ball flicked towards her, she had her wand ready. *Swish and Flick* "Wingardium Leviosa!" The second year smiled as the ball stopped in front of her, hovering in the air. "You know, I guess it isn't that hard after all...I mean after some practice...coming your way now!" She called to her friend, as she flicked her wand towards Sophie, the ball following in that direction.
Theodore wasn't too happy about trusting another student with his life. Nonetheless, his eyes darted round the room. He needed a partner before all the good ones for gone.
"BLUE!" He rushed over to his Ravenclaw bestie. "Be my partner?"
"Just don't kill me?"
"THEO."
Yay. Someone she knew would be her partner. That meant there would be no time wasted on 'Hi! I'm Blue! Blah Blah Blah...' instead they could go straight to levitating eachother the ball. Blue clapped and BEAMED. "Suuuuuuuuure."

"Paulie." He was practically standing right there next to him that he had no other choice. He smiled, eyes glinting. Was that an evil glint? Surely not... he was just excited to partner up with him, that's all. He certainly didn't dream of lifting him up and then just... dropping him accidentally on the ground. Nope.
"Shall we partner up?" They were the only seventh years left anyway. He just didn't have any other choice.
For as blasé as Paulie could sometimes be, he could also be quite observant. He'd followed Joao's eyes over to another student. Paulie had seen her in passing a few times, and he believed she and General Cornelius were friends 'cause he saw them hanging out sometimes, but he didn't actually know the girl's name. "Who's the chick?"
When he looked back to Joao for an answer, the boy was suggesting partnering up. Okay, all this nice behavior and now partnering up? This was very suspicious, and Paulie LOOKED at him all narrow-eyed and suspiciously. "..Sure," he answered finally. "You levitate me first." So if Joao sent him falling, Paulie would feel no remorse doing the same.

So.. partners? Checked. Okay, what should they do now? Levitating each other? It sounded fun. "So, you start first." he offered to Alex. Then he sat on a cushion.
Since they were both fifth years, it didn't surprise Alex that he and Gary had elected to just skip the whole ball levitating thing. Alex knew he could do that. He was pretty sure he could levitate Gary too...it'd be hard work, though. Rolling up his sleeves and pulling out his wand, he mentally began to envision himself levitating Gary in to the air, right above the cushion...a few feet off the ground shouldn't be a problem.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" he exclaimed, doing the swish and flick movement they'd practiced earlier and pointing it directly at Gary. He hoped he'd conjured up enough energy to lift the guy...

DID SHE?!?!?!
Breathing quickly, Theodore's eyes darted around the room and he saw the younger kids levitating balls. BALLS, OH. It was the older kids who were levitating each other.
Face palm.
"Oh, no reason." Yeah, nip that one in the bud.
Okay, cool. He had a partner, and a cool partner at that. Theodore skipped over to retrieve their ball, and when he returned, he just stood there, unaware of what to do.
SWISH AND FLICK. IT WAS EASY, KINSLEY, GET IT RIGHT.
"Okay, I'll go first, yeah?" Yeah.
He placed the ball onto the floor, then pointed his wand at it. Oh god. Magic was scary. What was that spell again?
"Wingardium Leviosa!" The boy blinked, not moving his wand in the movements required, and the ball just sat there.
"Wingardium Leviozar!" The circular movement was there this time, but he pronounced it totally wrong. That was Theo's problem, he had trouble multitasking with wand flickin'. Getting annoyed with himself, he kicked the ball slightly to Blue.
"You go first."
