The charms classroom has been completely transformed from the last time you were here. Instead of the hard well polished stone floor, there is a a fluffy white carpet
SPOILER!!: carpet
that covers the entire floor. Colourful cushions
SPOILER!!: cushions
are also placed in neat rows where the desks and chairs usually stood. In the corner of the room stands a large container filled with balls
SPOILER!!: balls
.
There is a sign just outside the door to the room in bold flashing letters :
Please remove your shoes and place them in your book bag or in to the side of the class. As is usual ensure that you are properly attired and neat. When you do enter, pick a cushion and sit on it, keep talking to a minimum.
There professor is standing at the front of the class with her arms folded waiting for you all to be seated.

"Consistent?" Kaiden gulped. HE had tried to be consistent during practice, but his arm had flailed wildly at times. "I can do that." He said, sounding more confident than he really was.
He pulled out his wand, and held the ball in his outstretched hand. "Wingardium Leviosa." he said, as he gave a wide sweeping swish and flick. He watched as absolutely nothing happened.
West got READY. You know, to catch the ball that'd surely come ZOOMING AT HIM.
But nothing happened.
"That was just a warm up." West decided. "Try it again!"

Yes.

Theodore wasn't too happy about trusting another student with his life. Nonetheless, his eyes darted round the room. He needed a partner before all the good ones for gone.
"BLUE!" He rushed over to his Ravenclaw bestie. "Be my partner?"
"Just don't kill me?"

And she CERTAINLY didn't trust anyone else to levitate her. Needless to say, she was glad she was only a first year for once.
And then the boy she vaguely remembered from the feast and definitely remembered from Hogsmeade approached her and offered to be partners. Well, that was easier than she'd thought it'd be. "Sure, that's fine," she answered with a shrug before grabbing her wand. "So...we just levitate one of these balls back and forth?"
Tag nodded at her as he went to grab a ball. "Yeah, that's what the teacher said to do.." he informed her, although he was very calm on the outside, inside Tag was smiling at how cute and playful the ball looked. But that wasn't the point. He got out his wand and held it in his right hand, while the ball rest on his left.
"Uhh, Wingardium Leviosa" He said with very little confidence. The swish and flick seemed easy earlier but not putting it into practice it was different. The ball merely lifted a inch or two off of his palm. Swish and Flick.Swish and Flick. Once more he repeated the spell, only putting more effort into the swishing and flicking. This time, the ball floated mid air. He moved his wand further out so that the ball traveled closer to Penelope, still it rocked back and forth as the ball went in her direction.
Was that good? Was he doing something wrong? He wouldn't ask anything, though, until Penelope had a go.
Jordan had followed the Professors instruction and had moved to the designated side of the room along with the 1st - 3rd years. He couldn't find anyone to partner with so he called out to the crowd if students, "Does anyone need a partner!" he was slighty annoyed at the abscence Of his friends.

Not that he had had to look all that long this time, especially in comparision to the struggle in herbology but still. "Aye thats me," he confirmed, this time he was confused seeing as he hadn't reconized her. "Do we kn...wait...Stella?" he inquired hesitantly, not sure about possibly making a mistake when she clearly remembered him.
"Whichever ye prefer," he answered leaving it up to her whether she was the levitator or the levitee for the first time around. Gideon was up for both for the time being and seeing as they probably both were gonna have to go anyway, it really wasn't gonna matter much. "Ye can work on me first if ye want."
The relief she'd seen on Gideon's face as she'd finally spoken only made Stella feel a bit guilty for having not been paying attention before. She well understood the difficulty of having to partner up in lessons, when there might not be that many people to actually pair up with. It was her own problem for not necessarily having spoken to as many people around her own age as opposed to ones who had already graduated, or ones who were younger. She didn't need to place that same problem onto other people, although she'd smiled as he'd verified her question of his name. At least she'd remembered that much, even if it seemed he'd had amoment of discomfort as to why. "Yes," she verified, as he'd stumbled his way through his own memories. "Arithmancy last term, I think. I'm not sure." That was the problem with making the acquaintance of people during lessons. It wa shard to tell if she'd made the same impact as they had on her.
But then he'd left it up to her to decide whether or not she wanted to attempt to levitate him or if she wanted to be levitated, and a thoughtful expression crossed her face. There were plenty of arguments as to either option, really. Going first and getting things over with was in the lead, honestly, but going first worked both ways. "Hmm, maybe you try to levitate me first? I'd think size might matter, or something. Or ability," she said, semi-thinking aloud. Of course, she wasn't exactly going to ask him his weight, or how proficient he was in the spell. Neither question seemed very polite, and she still had the idea of going first running through her mind. Everything was just awkward, really.

She moved around the room steadying wrists and correcting pronunciations, she wanted perfection for Merlin's sake! Perfection!
When she was content she moved to the front of the class and spoke in an even mid-tone. No yelling for her, if they wanted to hear the instructions, they would shut up and listen to her.
"Alright, well done class, well done. I think for the most part you have the incantation and wand movement right. Now I have prepared a potentially fun activity for you today but as usual I want the class to split. First to third years on the right, forth to seventh on the left, quickly now." She gave them a minute to do what she instructed before moving on.
"Now everyone is going to partner up within your year groups. Younger students you and your partner are allowed one ball. You will be levitating this ball back and forth between each other. Now they are fairly light so it only takes a bit of concentration to get it right. It's almost like catch but using your wands. The first person levitates, the other catches and you switch, please be careful, no hitting each other with the balls....yet."
She turned to the older students. "You lot will be doing something a lot more complicated. You will be levitating each other, hence the cushions and carpet. I use the pillows for padding please and no horsing around. I will be watching you carefully. If you are unable to find a partner please let me know." Right well that was clear enough right?
"You may begin if you have no questions to ask of me."
*blink*
They were gonna lift people?
Vicker's eyes moved uncertainly to the side. He wasnt sure if this was the best spell to move people, fearing that if it works, it would show how unstable his partner might end up like most things moved around with this spell .
He stood up anyway, brushing his pants off out of habit. "Uhm... any older student need a partner?"

But now they needed to partner up. Why was there any need to get a partner? He could practice the charm on his own couldn't he? Should i just go to the professor and tell i don't have a partner so could practice eon my own? Yeah, i would surely love that he thought.

OOC: PARTNER anyone? I promise not to be boring.
He got up from his seat and was about to head towards the professor when he saw the girl from his quidditch class. I could partner up with her he thought. And instead going to the professor he headed towards to girl. He looked at her and said "Hey do you still need a partner? We can partner up" he suggested and smiled.

Its practice time. He's really excited to do this practice part. Since its looks like fun. Levitating the balloon and all.
Partner? He looked around the classroom and saw that most of the younger students already have a partner except him. Great. This is just great. Messer need a partner and ASAP. He was about calling out for partner when he heard someone looking for one.
The young badger walked toward the owner of the voice. "Hey, I need a partner." he told the boy. "I hope you don't mind partnering with a second year." Messer was pretty sure that the boy is older than him. "I'm Messer by the way."

Charms wasn't Spike's favourite subject - that much was known. And it was clear he struggled with many of the spells in class. However, Spike did feel okay with levitating things. It was one of the charms he'd made sure he conquered last term.
Well, he'd felt comfortable with it until he'd learnt the task for today's lesson.
Levitating people? *gulp*
He nibbled on his lip as he surveyed the room for a partner. He wasn't adverse to bruises, so maybe he'd find a partner that wouldn't mind a few knocks and bumps either? And to be fair, Spike wasn't entirely sure he could get a whole person off the floor in the first place. So they might not have to worry. Lifting a feather or Matilda was one thing, but a person?
"I do," his answered Vickers, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. His reputation in charms probably proceeded him, which didn't exact install confidence in a potential partner, did it? "If you know, you wouldn't mind working with me..." he added cautiously.
Maybe he should go pretend to be a third year instead? He was sure he could manage a ball...

Zack smiled as the girl agreed to him. He looked for a cushion nearby, and then dragged the one he found to sit a bit at a distance from her as they had to move the ball back and forth.
He did realise that he didn't know her name and was almost surprised as she mentioned it. "Oh, yeah, i don't think the last time we paired up we told each other our names.." how silly . He sat down and said "I'm Zack, from Gryffindor." did she already know that? he was thinking. Then he looked back at her from the container of balls. "I'll get one and then we could practice or do you already have one?" he asked as he didn't see any ball around.

Nooo no no. Nothing could happen. Besides, there were cushions on which Alyssa could comfortably fall. But anyway. Since she wanted to go higher, Nora moved her wand a little upwards and watched as the Hufflepuff floated a tiny bit higher. She didn't want to risk throwing Alyssa into the ceiling or anything. Since moments passed by, she slowly lowered the girl after a while because, well, it did require a lot of concentration.
"Now it's my turn to" fly "float!" She said enthusiastically with a large grin as Alyssa was back on her feet. Should anything happen, Nora knew there were the cushions and the super fluffy carpet. Yup, she'll be fine, no matter what.
Kurumi sort of just stared at Selina. What was the redhead going on about? Kurumi was still on top of things. See? Her textbook was on her desk....wait...Where were the desks? And why were they all sitting on pillows on the ground? Was this even the classroom?
Feeling a little disoriented, Kurumi glanced forward and saw that the professor was indeed in the room...looking as though she had just given instructions. Class had started? Since when? Kurumi looked back at Selina and cocked her head to the side. "Selina...where are my shoes?" Or Selina's shoes for that matter. Actually, why was EVERYONE not wearing shoes!? Oh, right, Selina had asked her a question. "I'm perfectly fine," she nodded. She felt fine at least...minus being confused about her shoes that is.
Kurumi jumped to her feet and looked at her friend again when she mentioned a Levitation Charm. "Got it," she nodded as she gave her friend a quick thumbs up. "So...what are we levitating?" Pillows? There were an awful lot of pillows in the room. Were they going to have a pillow fight? Selina and her were good at those.
Why was Kurumi giving her a blank stare. Didn't the girl know what they were supposed to be doing? The instructions were very clear and Kurumi was one for order and rules. Selina was certain that she was probably the only person she knew who actually read the student handbook cover to cover. So what then warranted the blank stare that Kurumi was serving Selina?
Selina was further confused when Kurumi asked where her shoes had gone. The redhead looked around the room to see if Kurumi was playing a joke on her or something, but when she looked back at Kurumi the girl was still awaiting an answer about the whole shoe thing. Curiously she replied, "Bellaire had us take them off... they are in your bag." Seriously, was Kurumi alright, she was acting very strange.
So when Kurumi answered that she was fine, Selina was partial not to believe her. Right, of course she was fine. She really didn't believe her, but she was not going to press the issue. Kurumi had a lot on her mind lately and being a little forgetful was not a crime. In response to Kurumi's question Selina pushed aside her confusion, "Each other... we are levitating each other... hence the pillows."
West got READY. You know, to catch the ball that'd surely come ZOOMING AT HIM.
But nothing happened.
"That was just a warm up." West decided. "Try it again!"
"Yeah, it was practice." he said nodding. Though, not really.
Though West had told him to be consistent, Kaiden tried a smaller more concise swish and flick, seeing how it felt. That should do it, he thought as he swish, flicked and uttered "Wingardium Leviosa." And still nothing happened.
"Wingardium Leviosa". He repeated, preforming the motion again.
He gave it one more try before looking over to West. "Well, you wanna give it a try? You might have better luck than I am having."

Spike thought about it and moment, and shook his head. No, he didn't want to go first to make a complete fool of himself. "You can go first," he said with smile, before gathering a few nearby cushions and placing them as a landing mat. Blue cushions as far as possible, of course.

They were what? Levitating each other!?!? Oakey looked toward Mordy and gave him a nervous smile. You sure you want me to go first?
Mordy's answer was obvious as he stood up in a ready position. Standing up and facing his best friend he felt it best that he should reassure him. I have levitated someone once before you know. he nodded I think I can handle it a second time.
Before Oakey pointed his wand to Mordy he reached into his pocket and pulled out the scarab that Mordy gave him a while back. He showed it to his partner for more closure, then pointed his wand at him. Wingardium Leviosa, Oakey cast with a swish and flick of his wand.
Zack smiled as the girl agreed to him. He looked for a cushion nearby, and then dragged the one he found to sit a bit at a distance from her as they had to move the ball back and forth.

"Oh, I remember your name. You just couldn't hear mine when I told you last time," she retorted. Well, this sure was gonna be fun.

Any 4th Year Wanna Be My Partner?? VM Me please....
I Can Accept Failure. But I Can't Accept Not Trying
Seriously? They were levitating each other? This got Jordan real nervous, a minute ago they were practicing without wands. Now they were levitating actual people. Although he was nervous, he was determined not to show that he was nervous.
Then he began to start the process of locating other fourth years, so he can partner up with one for the lesson.
Kurumi's eyes drifted to her bag where...yep, there were her shoes. That was strange. Kurumi didn't remember taking them off OR putting them in her bag....or Professor Bellaire telling them they were supposed to. Right, so it seemed that Kurumi really was having a senior moment. Merlin, what was up with her best friend. She was acting very strange and of the two girls Selina was usually the odder of the two. Today the roles seemed very much reversed. But she was not going to point that out, she did not want Kurumi to feel like she was being looked at weirdly. It was just better to smile and nod and pretend that she was not acting oddly.
When they moved away from Kurumi's forgetful moment, Selina focused on the task at hand. She listened to Kurumi talk about how she had performed the charm before on her cat walnut. It seemed valid enough for her so yeah... Let's do this!
Kurumi gave Selina the go ahead and she drew her wand out of her holster, "You ready?". Then she aimed her wand at Kurumi and swished and flicked her wand, "Wingardium leviosa!"
Zhenya just had enough time to look up and see the ball flying towards her face.
WHACK!
It made contact with her nose, and her eyes started to water. It wasn't that hard, the ball was soft, but her nose was so sensitive. "Oww!" she whispered, trying not to draw attention to them. Especially not from the Professor. She bent over and picked the ball back and tried to stop herself from throwing it back to Elliot without magic. She was going to assume it was an accident, and that Elliot may have just wanted to make the activity more fun. Obviously they both knew how to perform the spell!
She wanted to try something different, so preparing her wand at the right time, she threw the ball slightly into the air, and cast "Wingardium Leviosa," with a swish and flick when the ball was in mid-air. She guided it towards Elliot, and rather than let it fall, she guided it back up, up, up into the air where she finally let it drop down.
Elliot had to look away to stop herself from bursting into laughter. She kept a stoic face, and quickly walked over to her. "Are you okay? I'm sorry...oops..." Yes, oops. She was still trying not to laugh...very hard...
Elliot had her wand put, ready to put a stop to any type of revenge the Slytherin might take, but all the other girl did was lift the ball up into the air really high. Okay...okay...catch it!
Elliot held out her arms, waiting for the ball to drop. PLUNK. It fell right into her arms. YAY. "I didn't mean to hit you, I really am sorry. I won't do that again..." she told the girl with a grin. She flicked her wand and said the incantation, the ball lifted into the air again. She made it do little twirls in the air, circles, and tried to make it somewhat of a challenge. She snapped her wrist, and let the ball fall, hopefully into Zhenya's arms.
