The charms classroom has been completely transformed from the last time you were here. Instead of the hard well polished stone floor, there is a a fluffy white carpet
SPOILER!!: carpet
that covers the entire floor. Colourful cushions
SPOILER!!: cushions
are also placed in neat rows where the desks and chairs usually stood. In the corner of the room stands a large container filled with balls
SPOILER!!: balls
.
There is a sign just outside the door to the room in bold flashing letters :
Please remove your shoes and place them in your book bag or in to the side of the class. As is usual ensure that you are properly attired and neat. When you do enter, pick a cushion and sit on it, keep talking to a minimum.
There professor is standing at the front of the class with her arms folded waiting for you all to be seated.
One of the most commonly used charms, that it in Sarah';s opinio. Wingardium Leviosa. Sarah tried it without her wand -swish flick went her arm. Wait, she ha dused the wrong hand. For some VERY ODD reason That day was opposites day for Sarah. her right hand was always her wand arm, yet why was she trying with her left. Now with the right hand she went - swish and flick, swish and flick. This was fun. It was great when you had 'hyper-mobile joints' like Sarah had on this occasion. Although it gives you knee problems, you are good at casting spells.

Sophia allowed them to practice with their hands for a while frowning disapprovingly at all those slacking off. Yes she was aware that the hovering charm was a basic, but great wizards used the most basic charms and spells to survive. They needed to appreciate everyone. And those slackers could bet their bottoms on punishment if they were unable to complete the task that she had prepared for them.
She moved around the room steadying wrists and correcting pronunciations, she wanted perfection for Merlin's sake! Perfection!
When she was content she moved to the front of the class and spoke in an even mid-tone. No yelling for her, if they wanted to hear the instructions, they would shut up and listen to her.
"Alright, well done class, well done. I think for the most part you have the incantation and wand movement right. Now I have prepared a potentially fun activity for you today but as usual I want the class to split. First to third years on the right, forth to seventh on the left, quickly now." She gave them a minute to do what she instructed before moving on.
"Now everyone is going to partner up within your year groups. Younger students you and your partner are allowed one ball. You will be levitating this ball back and forth between each other. Now they are fairly light so it only takes a bit of concentration to get it right. It's almost like catch but using your wands. The first person levitates, the other catches and you switch, please be careful, no hitting each other with the balls....yet."
She turned to the older students. "You lot will be doing something a lot more complicated. You will be levitating each other, hence the cushions and carpet. I use the pillows for padding please and no horsing around. I will be watching you carefully. If you are unable to find a partner please let me know." Right well that was clear enough right?
"You may begin if you have no questions to ask of me."

Daichi stopped practising the wand movement when he had heard the Professor's voice. He placed his arm back on his lap and with the other he scratched the back of his neck. Hearing the next instructions , the Slytherin jumped up from his orange cushion and walked to the left side of the class.
Oh no...
They had to team up? But..but..he was BAD at this spell! What if he accidentally poked someone's eye out? "P-Professor Bellaire?" he asked as he raised his arm in the air. "Can i practise with..with.." The boy looked at his socks as he bit his lip. "them?" as he said the word his cheeks flushed a deep red in embarrasment. He pointed a finger to the younger group but had his gaze still lowered to check out his socks.

Hearing the professor's voice, Sierra dropped her wand (aka her hand with a finger extended) and turned toward the professor. Oh, activity time. At least they'd get to actually perform the spell now. Well, not that she'd never cast Wingardium Leviosa, but it was just a welcome change than using her finger as a wand.
The younger students' activity seemed alright, but Sierra had dealt with floating balls for years in Quidditch. Finally, the directions were given for the older students' activity. Levitating one another? Sounded good enough, but...she just hoped she ended up with a good partner. If somebody dared to drop her, she promised to hex them to next Hogsmeade weekend and back.
"Any fifth years need a partner?" she asked, looking around.
OOC: Already partnered up with Touz OOC. Just making it IC.

Nigel was finally having fun just flicking his imaginary wand when he was told to go in a group again with first through third years. He walked over with the group and wondered what they were going to do now.
He heard he needed to partner up with someone in the same year as him. He looked around all nervous and tried and eventually called out "Does any other first year need a partner?".

Annabelle heard the directons the professor asked. She moved over to the left. She needed to find a partner who was a fifth year, "Anyone need a partner?" she asked. She hoped she could do the levitating spell correctly. It did sound like a challenge but she was willing to take it!
They were going to be levitating each other? WHAT? Addie could probably levitate a ball, but a real live living person on a cushion. Ummm...that might not work out the best.
Addie looked around and saw another girl who looked her age asking for a partner. Addie skipped over to the girl. "Hey! Want to be my partner," she asked with a smile. Please say yes. Please say yes. Addie didn't want to go searching more. If this girl wanted to be her partner it would be good. Hopefully she could do the spell though, Addie wanted to fly around on a cushion.

Annabelle saw a girl talking to her. "Oh sure, of course you can be my partner!" she said with a warm smile. She was relieved she found a partner, she always felt awkward looking for a partner. "I am so excited to be doing this spell, i mean it would be cool to fly up high in the air." Annabelle said to start up conversation.
João smiled at Paulie reassuringly. He wasn't a jerk to breathe on him or anything. In fact, just to show his GOOD will and all, he had sat a bit spaced than normal, though he also didn't want to sit people any closer any more. You never knew what they would do.
"Don't worry," he said simply at him before his eyes fell on that girl Aspen as she looked at him too. He froze for a moment. What should he do? Should he... was he even allowed to acknowledge her or anything? He figured talking to her was impossible, but at least... maybe he should at least smile. He smiled quite unsurely at her after 3 dreadful seconds, and then regretted it. He had bloody blasted her wand into a million pieces and he was smiling at her! His smile quickly vanished when he remembered that and he lowered his eyes deep in thought for a moment. Maybe the best Brazilian chocolate would fix it? How was he supposed to know that wand meant her so much?! If she had blasted his away, he would just shrug and--
Swish and flick!
He practically jumped in his cushion when the professor addressed the class and got his wand ready, while peeking at Aspen to see if she got a new one. Thankfully, she had. He was relieved to no end. He even smiled to himself because of the tension, before he realised he looked silly.
Wait. No one got their wands out.
Looking around with a frown, he put his back into the holster and raised his hand simply to do the swish and flick once. He wasn't a baby, he knew the spell alright. One time of practising was enough.
Between helping West and mindlessly practicing a wand movement she'd perfected years ago, Aspen didn't miss the glances.
And certainly not the smile.
...
Then not smiling. Then smiling to himself.
He was a very different type of boy. Aspen didn't believe in monsters, but he sort of reminded her of one. Like one from a fairy tale or book of fiction. For the most part, without alerting West, she stared at the 7th year Slytherin. This Odessa was going to figure that boy out.

Aspen didn't WANT to partner up. Look what happened last time she had a partner? So when someone she KNEW asked for a partner, Aspen was quick to get Sierra's attention. She just raised her hand/waved at the Slytherin.
"Partner with Theo, or maybe Isadora, okay?" Aspen advised her West, nudging him up to his feet. "Be consistent."
And now? Now... this Odessa had to try her new and uncooperative wand out on a somewhat volatile Slytherin. Nothing could go wrong, right? Aspen was entirely confident she could levitate Sierra. She'd levitated Taryn way back in 3rd year. The confidence ended there though, and Sierra would just ... well, maybe she could join Joao in the Slytherin Alliance Against Aspen. SAAA.
"You go first," Aspen suggested as she approached Sierra. She pocketed her wand, spread her arms out, and closed her eyes. Fire away.

Honestly, Stella was ecstatic when they were relaesed to actually using the spell. It was just odd waving imaginary wands around, and she scooped her bag up as they were all instructed to move toward the left side of the room. There was no reason she was going to just leave it there to get trampled, especially since she could still feel Oberon moving around inside. Although she didn't really have to move far, and she stood up straight after dropping the bag at her feet again. "Does anyone still need a partner?," she asked, carefuly to make sure her voice was heard but that she wasn't yelling. Hmm, another way acting helps, she thought to herself with a bit of a grin. Voice modulation. Now she just had to hope that she got a good partner.

Addie smiled at the girl. "Good," that the girl would be her partner. Now the partner search was over. Onto the spell work. And this girl was excited to fly in the air also. This was great.
"I'm so excited to be flying also," Addie said with a grin before realizing that she had forgotten the most important thing. Addie had to introduce herself to the girl. "I'm Addie Coral by the way. Fifth year Slytherin," Addie said quickly making the first introduction. Hopefully the girl would introduce herself also, that way she would have a name rather than just the girl. "Do you want to try the spell first?" because she didn't care who went first, but the girl should at least have the option.

Gideon relaxed his hand back down to his side when the professor called for their attention once more. Right...there was to be an activity and once more were to be divided by years. Though his time they would be working together with a fellow older student on the project. The sixth year prefect moved to the side of the room the older students were to work on and looked around for a partner before being taken back by their assignment.
Levitating each other...oh boy.
Continuing to look around for someone, he spotted an older Ravenclaw girl also looking so he approached her , hoping she wasn't looking for someone in particular. But then she asked if there was anyone who needed a partner so he relaxed and spoke up. "Aye...I do."
Kennedy almost frowned when he heard what their next task was. Almost. He kinda wanted to levitate balls, but the thought of levitating a person was also fun. Just...they better not drop him. He'll sue. The sixteen year old got up from his cushion and slightly stretched his back.
Okay, he was ready.
Oh right, first he needed a partner. He glance around. "Any sixth year need a partner?"

Kaiden stiffened as the professor came near, fearing she would slap him for not performing correctly. It had happened before with a piano teacher he had once had, but professor Bellaire simply corrected his flailing movement. He tried to keep up the smaller more concise movement, but soon his arm was going wide once again. All the while, he continued practicing the incantation, letting the strange foreign words become relatively familiar. As the professor began speaking, he stopped what he was doing and paid attention, before getting up and heading into the indicated direction.

Right, he needed a partner to do practice with. Were they supposed to team up with anyone in their age group, or did he need to team up with another first year? He wasn't entirely sure, but it would probably be better to partner with someone in his year. Looking around, he spotted West and headed over to him. "Hey, Odessa, wanna team up?" because yeah, this could be fun!

The only thing Stella really wasn't looking forward to when it came to the class activity was the fact that they were going to be levitating each other. It actually reminded her again of Professor Schirmer's lessons, namely the one when they'd explored Patronus charms, and had drank the potion to make themselves levitate. At least that time, there wasn't the concern about if another person would be able to keep them levitated, whether or not the squishy carpet and all the cushions were there for their safety now. She knew she was fairly confident in her ability to perform the charm, but that didn't mean everyone else was. She hadn't gotten a partner yet, after all, and she'd switched between watching the younger students with the balls and her fellow upperclassmen partnering up, almost as if she expected to see someone hit the ground any time now.
Her attention wavered as she heard a voice speak up from right next to her, blinking as she hadn't even seen him approach her in her earlier preoccupation. "Gideon, right?," she asked, giving him a smile as she remembered him from a lesson taught one of the previous two terms. She couldn't even remember which one, but at least they'd survived it. Not to mention he was apparently a prefect now, which made her feel a bit better about letting him try and levitate her. As if being prefect meant he'd be more accomplished at the basic charm than a normal student. "Did you want to go first, or should I?," she continued, still trying to seem more confident than she was. At least when it came to the activity, not the spell in general.

Partners? Sigh, since Gary was new to this place, he didn't know much who was the person in his same year. But maybe it was his time to socialize. Noticed that there was a boy who was also looking for fifth year partner, he offered himself. "Do you mind if I become your partner?." asked him to the Hufflepuff boy.
