He entered the clearing with the rest of the class and looked directly at the large tree in the center. He was still slightly scared of the Forrest but he let up on his wand gripping it less as he sat down.

He sat and listened to Clean Freak as she cast the words of the spell directly over head. He had never heard of this spell, but according to everyone else that was guessing it had to do something with the moon and shining.

His eyes widened as she demonstrated the extent of the spell. Her outfit changed colors under the moon light. For a moment he thought this was truly a great spell, but then it came to him This is lame,what use will this be for me? Did they have to trek through the Forbidden Forrest just to see Bellaire show off her outfit?

Now they were going to cast it on the Pygmy Puffs. Sighing as he stood to get a Pygmy Puff he picked out a Red one from the box that Professor Romanos was holding.

As he headed back to his spot he stood still and stared blankly at the little thing, and it just stared back, blankly. What was the appeal these things had on girls? He'll never understand them.

Then a Shriek! Almost as terrifying as Professor Elwood's when she was pretending to be a Banshee! His hand gripped around the Red Pygmy Puff Tightly and it let out a squeak. Releasing his grip on the puff it hoped down from his hand and into shirt under his school robe!

Gah! OH! Ge-Ge-Get OUT! He reached around himself as the puff moved around him. It's soft fur tingled his skin and he let out a laugh.
Haha! Oh no! Not there! Tha-that! Oh Hahaha that tickles! Ge-Get out!

The Red puff then poked itself out at the top of his shirt and launched it's tongue into one of Oakey's nostril, pulled hard and yanked some of his nose hairs out EEEEEOOOOW! That stings! . He tried grabbing for it but it hoped out and scurried onto the ground and up one of his pant legs! Q-Quit IT!

Chelle jaw fell open.

I have to do WHAT?!

Professor said that they all had to go and get one of those rodent things. THOSE VILE CREATURES. Chelle was expected to go and get those thingies. On her own. With her own hands. She crinkled up her nose. Nope. She wasn't fond of those creatures. They didn't look endearing... not at all.

Hesitantly and apprehensively, she went over to the box where Professor had motioned towards, and grabbed one of the rodents. The... creature twisted and squirmed but Chelle's grip was quite firm. Now that she had it, she didn't know what to do. She decided to pick up the napkin she had used to sit on the grass and wrapped the furball in it.

"AGH! Don't bite me!" she yelled, at nobody in particular, for she knew that the Pygmy Puff wouldn't understand. Then she held the napkin and waited.

Daisy grinned, walking over to the Pygmy Puffs and taking one. It was very, very tempting to take several, or to grab one off the squealing first year next to her. It was a ball of fluff... And she was acting as though it would murder her. Having had plenty of pet pygmy puffs in her time, she knew the worst they would do to the girl would be to pee on her. Though that would be slightly funny to watch.

'It's not going to bite you,'she smiled at the first-year, cuddling her pygmy puff and taking out her wand. Were they seriously gonna make them rainbow-y? Because that was just awesome.

So far his Pygmy Puff was calm-- sleepy even-- when he turned his head at the yelp. It was from his fellow Claw "Chelle relax, he wont bite you.... Pygmy Puffs have an even better disposition that dragons, and you did great with Roro." he said as he tried to reassure the young girl. He's speaking generally of course. Roro was an adorably good natured dragon while Hendrix, the last Pygmy Puff he held, was trouble with a capital T....



.... which sounds like the Pygmy Puff Oakey's got.

Vickers strode quickly over to the young Puff's side, one hand still trying to cradle the thankfully calm fur ball and the other trying to get Oakey to calm down "Oakey dont panic..." he started, not quite sure if he should grab that sneaky fur ball or try to clamp down the boy's pants. "If you get overexcited so does the Pygmy Puffs, specially hyper ones like this..."

Needless to say, Stella's converstaion with Evelyn had apparently kind of come to an end as they'd entered the forest, as she'd started carefully watching the trees as they passed for any mysterious creatures. Of course, they'd all managed to get to the designated clearing for the lesson unscathed, but that didn't change her opinion of them being there. In fact, she was still curious if they were going to come across any frozen creatures, like what had happened to their professors and fellow students. Either that, or she was concerned that whatever had been causing said freezings was going to appear during this lesson, but so far all that had happened was Professor Bellaire asking them about a charm, and then the demonstration of said charm. That had gotten her attention, as the professor's silvery robe had suddenly taken on the appearance of a rainbow-like iridescence. Pretty, she thought, taking a moment to just let the faint humming coming from the half-hidden pygmy puff at her neck comfort her.

At least until they learned they'd be testing the charm on said pygmy puffs, and a wary look crept onto her face. A rainbow Nuage would be pretty, but she didn't want to mess up on the charm and end up with a hairless Nuage either. Something told her that would be against her promise to Professor Williamson last term when she'd adopted her puff, that she would take amazing care of her. They hadn't actually been instructed to try the charm yet, though, so she left her puff inside her scarf by her neck for the time being. Especially as chaos had rang out suddenly, as Professor Bellaire had screeched like the poor pygmy puff Professor Romanos had held out had rabies or something, and students were evidently racing their puffs. And Vickers was nearby attempting to calm another Claw and Oakey down, who both seemed to also be having puff-related problems. At this rate they'd find out if that skrewt and any of the other creatures from last term were still here in the forest quicker than she'd like.

Messer watched as the Professor performed the spell. COOL!

Eek! Rodent thing? What rodent things? Did she mean pgymy puff? He watched as some of the students without one grabbed it from the box. Oh its pgymy puff.

The Hufflepuff walked toward where the box was and grabbed one. She said there will be hair loss. Messer eyed the pgymy puff on his hand. He hoped he won't be the cause it loss it hair because Messer was pretty sure pgymy puff without hair won't be a pretty sight.

Pygmy puff....right.

Now that they knew what they were going to be hopefully doing with the pygmy puffsrodents all they had to do was get one. The little claw went over to the box and picked up a light blue one. Cute little guys... that could cause a lot of trouble. Once she had her puff, she walked back over to where she had been standing before, petting the pygmy puff until it was time to move on.

Oh..oh! Oakey leaned down and tried grabbing at the Pygmy puff through his pant leg but it evaded his every grasp!

Oakey hopped on his legs to try and shack the pygmy puff from his pants but it wouldn't budge as it crawled further up! I_I'm not panicking! I'm tr-trying to get this fur ball out of my pants! It tickled again as the red ball brushed across the back of his knee. Woooooha-ha! He-help me out. He begged Vickers to do something as he pranced about shacking his legs around.

He had actually held up the line for a moment during this, all because of Aspen Odessa. Just for a sec, though. "I shouldn't be surprised. Givin' head injuries seems to be a hobby of yours.."

Now.. finally, Bellaire came to a halt. So, the lesson had to do with that shimmery dress of hers, huh? Paulie watched as she stepped to and from the tree, the fabric changing with each action. Okay, right, now get a rodent - AKA pygmy puff. But, as he meandered on over to get on of the little guys, someone shrieked! His head snapped up and he found that the source of the scream was none other than their own professor. He quirked an eyebrow.

What the..?

"Professor Bellaire, you're in a dark forest with, like, a million big, deadly creatures, and you're... afraid of a pygmy puff?" This woman was cray cray.

At least that was what he had gleamed from the incantation and the Latin used. Now that was of interest to Gideon, especially with his love of all things celestrial and the effects of such. The prefect listened as some of his classmates tried to answer on the possible effects of the spell in question, finally watching the woman demonstrate it on her robes.

So cool.

Following directions, he reached into his robe pocket and scooped Doyle out from within his nest in his scarf. Gideon nearly dropped him however as he reacted to the screech, only to look at its source and finding the charms professor freaking out about the pygmy puff Professor Romanos was holding out for her. Somebody seriously didn't like the harmless fluffy creatures.
...or the rodents as she called them.

"Don't worry..." the sixth year quietly and absently assured his charge. "Ye wont be going near her...or loosing hair." Hearing Paulie's remark, Gideon bit his cheek to keep from laughing at the very true comment.

The spell sounded awesomely awesome. Mika had to agree. She looked up at the Professor as she backed into the tree trunk and cocked her head to the side confused.

Dev as positioned on her shoulder mimicking her look of utter confusion. This woman was bizarre. Crazy neatfreaklady. She felt laughter coming as she heard what Paulie the older student had said. He was right. BIG scary eat your FACE off creatures were in here.

Her knees wiggled in fear. She didn't like BIG scary creatures. Looking over at the Scottish boy who she'd helped in Herbology before she took a sidestep closer. Mumbling quietly she was nervous.

"W-wanna met Dev" she pointed at the yellow and pink furball on her shoulder. The one who was currently trying to hide in her mess of hair. "I'm sc-scared of this forest" she muttered and looked at the ground.

Trying to calm herself she thought of the spell. Lunae-Pluvia Niteo it sounded pretty really PRETTY!

A BIG grin was plastered on the first year's face and she held one hand over her mouth, it was all she could do not to giggle at the silly professor. She was SERIOUSLY afraid of a pygmy puff? Dora couldn't figure out whyyyy, maybe cause she thought they were rodents? She was obviously misinformed and lacking in her knowledge of creatures in general.

That was sad. And another reason to stick closer to Professor Ramanos.

How would she protect them against creatures if she got them confused or didn't know what they were???

When she could, she took her hand off her mouth to show a laughing grin, and went over to get a pygmy puff. A red one.

Then she went and stood right by the Defense professor.

Could they practice nowwww? Or did they have to wait for the professors panic attack to be over and done?

Yeah he was really thinking this Pygmy Puff was relate to Hendrix.

"Alright alright, just stand still, stop moving your leg, I think you're scaring it..." or it was just being incredibly naughty, in any event it doesnt help their case any. He gave his Pygmy Puff a quick glance before pocketing it gently into his robes for a moment "Clamp your hands around your leg tightly over there... " he said as he pointed that area right above the knee "Dont move your hands no matter what... I'm going to try to pluck it out " he added then started to raise-roll Oakey's pant leg. Sneaky Pygmy Puffs...

Staring back at the Professor, Mordred's thoughts went blah. "How exactly will that Charm help me?" he thought and stood up to get himself a Pygmy Puff. He got a green one out of the box that Professor Romanos was holding.

He placed that Pygmy Puff on top of his right shoulder and made his way back to where he was seated. Before he could sit down, he looked behind and saw Oakey trying to get rid of his red Pygmy Puff. Both Mordred and the rodent on his shoulder tilted their heads as they watched the commotion.

So, it was some sort of moonlight rainbow color changing charm? It seemed cool, but Silvia wondered what use such a spell would have. She walked over to where Professor Romanos stood with the Pygmy Puffs and picked out a purple one. She didn't see why the Charms professor seemed to dislike them so much. They were like little balls of fluff, nothing like a rodent.



Silvia turned around at the sound of a small shout from her fellow Ravenclaw. "Um, are you alright Chelle?" She didn't look too happy. It couldn't be anything the pygmy puff did, could it? They were supposed to be harmless.

Chelle jumped as someone tried to reassure her. She looked up and saw that it was Vickers, one of her teammates at CoMC. Easy for you to say. You're good with animals! "Yeah, well. I'm fine, I wrapped the... creature in this napkin!" she grumbled, holding out the napkin bag clutched in her hand. "But it- it did bite me, you know!" Yup, it did. She didn't hate these things for no reason.

Chelle turned at the sound of another voice and came face to face with the other member of her team at CoMC. Blimey, is this going to be a rcap of that day? "I'm fine, Sylvia, thanks. My Pygmy Puff bit me... before I wrapped it in a napkin," she told her. How come she was the only one not liking those things? Wasn't anybody else having any problems? HUH?

Oakey did his best to hold him self still. The Pygmy Puff was still inching it's way around his knees, tormenting him with tickles. Just make it quick, get it off of me please! He told Vickers with a pained smile on his face. He clamped his hands above his knees, probably to prevent the red puff from going further up.

Sophia glared at the headboy..like a serious death glare. How rude..did she ask him for social commentary? No she didn't. "Did I ask for your input Mr. Foster?...Get your pygmy puff and rejoin the others." Man she was embarrassed enough without him commenting.

"Once again..I did not ask for your opinion on the matter, if you do not wish to spend the rest of your evenings in detention, you shush up and just follow instructions."

Glare.


And this behaviour right here was far from acceptable. She would have snatched their pygmy puffs away from them if she was willing to touch the ruddy things but no, she wasn't so. They would just have to put them back themselves.

"You three..ENOUGH. Please be aware that you have a week's detention. Classroom or not, this is still a class and there are two professors present. You are completely out of order. This is not a racing rink, pick those creatures up right now."


Merlin's Beard this lesson was turning out to be more stressing than she thought it would be. She rubbed her temples and stepped forward again.

"Now students..children.." She eyed them. They were all acting like children. "This should be a fairly simple charm to perform. The wand movement is a sweeping archlike the rainbow then tap on the object..in this case pygmy puff.Now the arch has to be perfect..don't make a wobbly arch or it won't work well...William won't forgive me if I return some of his pygmy puffs bald."

She turned to face Professor Ramanos and performed the wand movement then tapped the rodent she was holding."Professor if you'd please place the pygmy puff on that branch right there."

"Right, so when we're done and everyone has successfully charmed their pygmy puffs, we'll decorate the tree branch with them and watch magic happen."

Sarah did that. In order not to make a wobbly arch, she used her left hand to steady her wand arm. She made her arch and said the incanatation. She then tapped the pygmy puff before her with a flourish.

Sdklfjasd!

Medea jumped a little. Just...a little. Or a lot.

Whatever had happened, she ended up trying to catch the pygmy puff before it hit the ground. Medea held it close as she looked up to Sophia in alarm. For someone so rule strict and proper, the charms professor had a really loud shriek. In the forest. The forbidden forest. "Of course. Sorry." she muttered quietly, taking a few steps away and trying to get the little creature to stop squeaking.

After Sophia performed the spell on the pygmy puff she held, Medea eyed the little creature, waiting for something to happen. Huh. Well, she'll just have to wait and see the 'magic happen' later then. She moved towards the tree branch that was pointed out and gently placed the tiny creature upon it.

Teehee.

Alyssa sighed with disappointment when she heard that three of the students were going to be serving detention. They just didn't seem to understand between the difference as to when it was time for play and when it was time for class. She only hoped that whomever was giving them detention would go easy on them like Headmaster Tate had been with her last term.

But now it was time to perform the spell. She held up Nerfball in the palm of her hand. "Be brave Nerfball. I promise that nothing really bad will happen to you...well at least I hope that nothing does. But if something does, I'm sure Professor Romanos or Professor Williamson will fix you up right as rain." Alyssa whispered to him. She first practiced the incantation. "LUNAE PLUVIA NITEO....LUNAE PLUVIA NITEO....LUNAE PLUVIA NITEO." until she was sure that she had the pronunciation correct.

Then she practised the wand movement. Taking out her wand, she made a sweeping arclike movement like she was drawing a rainbow. Alyssa practised the wand movements a couple more times before she was ready to cast the spell on her little Pygymy Puff friend.

She stretched out the hand holding Nerfball, and concentrating hard on the spell and what she wanted it to do, she swished her wand in a sweeping arclike movement and tapping Nerfball on the head, said, "LUNAE PLUVIA NITEO"

Alyssa then placed him on the tree branch and prayed that the spell had worked. At least he didn't seem to have lost any hair!!

Justin walked over to the box and picked out a little grey pygmy puff and returned to where he had been. He stood there stroking it's shaking and frghtened little thing and practiced the incantation until he was satisfied with it's delivery and pronounciation...then with his wand, " Lunae Pluvia niteo." and placed bonker's as he decided on it's name on the branch and prayed the charm would work properly...

Returning his attention back to the professor, Mordred watched as she performed the charm on the Pygmy Puff. Nothing happened yet because it needed the moonlight to actually see the result. “Lunae Pluvia Niteo.” Mordred murmured under his breath as he watched Professor Romanos place the Pygmy Puff on top of the branch. “Lunae Pluvia Niteo.” He repeated and grabbed the Pygmy Puff on top of his shoulder that already fell asleep.

“You, wake up.” He said to it as he poked it with his wand. Lazy eyes looked up at him as if to say, “leave me alone you big oaf.” The pygmy puff decided to go back to sleep on his hand and be oblivious to what will happen to it. “Yeah, maybe I should just set you on fire.” As if understanding what the boy said, the Pygmy Puff’s eyes widened and looked alert. “Better.” Mordred stretched out his hand and made an arc movement on top of the creature as he muttered the incantation. "Lunae Pluvia Niteo!"

Well Nigel knew this was going to happen anyway. So he gave a look to both Isaac and Laura and said "This was fun while it lasted."

He walked over to the tree to pick up his puff. While walking back he moved his wand in a sweeping arclike movement and tapped his rat on the head, said, "Lunae Pluvia Niteo".

There the spell worked. So he put his rat on the tree branch Professor Bellaire pointed to.

Watching Oakey grip his hands above his knee VIckers pulled lifted the pant leg up, as much as possible away from the cowering body of the Pygmy Puff. When he can see enough of the quivering fur ball he quickly reached in and plucked it down and away from the Hufflepuff's leg. "There you go!" he said with a grin and gripped the red Pygmy Puff gently in his hand, stroking its body soothingly to try to get it to calm down then extended his arm for Oakey to take the creature.



And now it was time to try out the spell.

He slipped his hand into his robes pocket and brought out the sleeping fur ball, wondering if it was a good idea to even wake it prior to the spell. Maybe he should practice for a bit before actually doing the spell...

He repeated the Professor's arched wandstroke in the air a few times, mouthing the incantation silently Lunae Pluvia Niteo... Lunae Pluvia Niteo . It was simple enough wasnt it? Then again he didnt want to have the creature suffer from premature balding. He arched his wand again in the air away from his other hand and uttered quietly to himself " Lunae Pluvia Niteo" then made the motion of tapping something in the air, supposedly where the Pygmy Puff will be in a bit.

So professor Bellaire made them stop with that crazy race idea... good. The last thing they needed was a bunch of people distracted now. In the middle of the Forbidden Forest! Nope, that was a terrible idea!

Anyway, they were supposed to get started then! Coooooooool! Still better if they weren't there right now. Sophie already had her wand at the ready, but she didn't remember the incantation.



She watched as some other students started practicing. Lunae Pluvia Niteo. Such a hard incantation! But after that Flinsipwiwit or whatever that was, Sophie knew she could pronounce ANYTHING. Yep.

She was about to try the spell when she heard Mordred, who was right next to her, talking to his Pygmy Puff saying he'd set it ON FIRE! She turned to him with her eyes widened, but was glad to see that the Pygmy Puff he had on his hands also reacted. That meant he wouldn't do such a thing, right?? But... what if the creature had not reacted?? Would he really do that??? Merlin... She eyed him doing the spell. Wait... was he only practicing or was he already trying it out? "Um... you should tap the wand on the Pymgy Puff after the arch motion." She smiled, looking from the green Pygmy Puff to her friend.

HER TURN! Lunae Pluvia Nit- was that it? Lunae Pluvia Niteo. She mouthed as she heard someone trying out the spell. "Lunae Pluvia Niteo." So much easier than the Flipsnip one. Arch motion. Right, noooow put it all together!

She held out her hand, holding the blue Pygmpy Puff. Doing the arch motion above the creature, she gave it a gentle tap on the top of its head. "Lunae Pluvia Niteo!"

Hm... okay... the only way to see if it worked was to let the moonlight hit it, wasn't it?

Ella eyed Laura and shook her head at her best friend. Really? An illegal pygmy puff racing ring? And now she had detention...for a week!? Laura Hope Hyde would be hearing from one Miss Ella Bishop about this later. Ohhh yes she would.

Turning back to Barnabus, Ella smiled at the puff. "Alright, Barny. I'm gonna try this incantation out a few times before I actually use it on you, okay?" And practice she did. "Lunae P-Pluvia Niteo...That's kinda tough...Lunae Puluvia Niteo...no that wasn't it...Lunae Pluvia Niteo...Lunae Pluvia Niteo...yeah, that's better. Lunae Pluvia Niteo."

Having mastered the incantation, Ella got out her wand and practiced the rainbow arch motion. She found herself humming Somewhere Over the Rainbow quietly as she did, hoping no one had heard her. Looking around, there didn't seem to be anyone looking in her direction, she was safe! Sweet relief!

Alright, so now she had the incantation down and the movement...meaning she was ready to try it out on Barnabus, right? Right. "Alright little guy, I'm going to do the charm on you now, okay? Don't worry. It won't hurt or anything...and you'll look totally awesome when I'm done." And hopefully not bald. WHAT if he did turn bald? Did they have like...pygmy puff hair club for men-puffs? She'd have to ask Professor Williamson about that one. Anyway, time to focus.

Raising her wand, Ella winked at Barny before making the arching movement and tapping Barny gently on the head. "Lunae Pluvia Niteo!" *Blink Blink* Well he wasn't bald...that was a good sign, right?
