Arithmancy One: Introduction to Chaldean Numerology & Your Chaldean Expression Number The windows in the Arithmancy classroom were cracked open slightly to allow some of the fresh Autumn air to infiltrate the room, even if it did have the effect of making it slightly chilly. Josephina was sitting perched in the chair behind the larger desk, seemingly lost in thought. However, when you enter, she will look up and give you a brief nod before resuming her transfixed expression. On the board behind her, there's a few notes scrawled: Quote:

Ella skipped into the Arithmancy classroom with a smile on her face. She quite liked this class and really enjoyed Hadley. Speaking of, the second year noticed that the professor seemed deep in thought at the moment. Hm...maybe she was thinking about the lesson? Hopefully everything was okay with the woman. "Hey Professor Hadley!" Ella said cheerfully on her way by the desk. Her eyes then traveled to the board behind her professor. Well first things first, Ella went and found a seat in the middle of the classroom. Next she removed her text, parchment, and quill and waited for class to start. |
Jen walked into the classroom "Hey professor." She says as she takes a seat in the front of the class. She takes her textbook, her parchment, and quill out. |
Anya skipped into the classroom. "Hello Professor." she said entering the classroom. She pulled her robes closer around her. "A bit chilly for this time of the year, don't you think?" she said heading toward a seat. She didn't think she'd need a cloak. It was only early October after all. Usually she was fine until November when the castle became drafty and wintery. Oh well. She'd manage. She'd just run up to get her cloak later during the day if it didn't warm up later. She then glanced up at the board. She dug into her bag and placed her textbook, parchment, quill, and ink on the desk. Alright. Lesson time. |

So she walked up to Ella and whispered,"Hi Ella is it okay if I join you?" Alyssa hoped that Ella wouldn't mind. She sat down and took out her textbook, quill and parchments and waited for class to start. |
Meh. Another class she knew nothing about. Aside from a few things Vashti had told her, but the only things Penelope actually remembered her cousin saying were how "incredibly fun a class it was" and how "the professor was one of my favorites" and that "it really isn't THAT hard if you pay attention and read the textbook." Which basically meant Penelope was probably going to fail miserably once again since she HADN'T read the textbook. She'd been trying to read her books, of course - she'd certainly made a valiant attempt recently to read the one for the creatures class - but she'd gotten bored and hungry and decided she'd much rather go get something to eat in the Great Hall. So yeah, she was just going to hope she could get away with just staring at a wall and that there wouldn't be any spells to perform. Unless it was Lumos, because that was the one spell she could definitely do now. Luck was never on her side though. So she simply entered the classroom silently and sat at the desk closest to the door. That way she could |
Almost back to his usual self, Gideon had caught the notice of Arithmacy class and headed downstairs at the appropriate time. Granted he had thought of not continuing but as had become habit with most of the classes he wasn't the best at, he chose to attend the first class of the term at least. "Good day, Professor Hadley," he greeted with a smile as he entered the classroom and noted her presence behind her desk. His mood had certainly improved with the passing of days since the quidditch match. Leaving the professor be, the prefect crossed to a desk and took a seat before doing as the note on the board said, taking out his textbook and supplies from his bag to prepare for the beginning of the class. |
Minerva walked in to the classroom pushing her now red hair behind her ears. She smiled "Hello Professor, how are you doing today?" She looked around and saw Ella and Alyssa, her power puff girls were already there so she went over and smiled. "Hey guys can I sit with you?" She found the empty seat and took out her book, parchment, and quill to be ready for when her house |
Its been nippy everywhere in the castle, so Vickers was looking forward for a bit of warmth classrooms on the upper levels usually offer, but as he crossed the threshold it didnt seem to have made any difference. His eyes fell on the Numbers Guru and greeted her brightly "Good Morning Professor." As he turned he spotted the windows were slightly ajar. Seeing that the Professor looked rather preoccupied he wondered if she was aware "Professor, do you wish for me to close some of the windows?" |
Oakey walked into the class. Hiya Professor Hadley, Oakey said as he suddenly had a cold chill run down his spine. You could almost see the quick shiver he did. A tad bit chilly today isn't it? he directed his statement of the obvious to his Head of House. He looked for some seats to sit by and saw Alyssa, Ella, and Minerva all sitting by each other. He looked to see if there was one more open sit nearby and found one by them, but one row back. He looked twice to see that it was a window seat. I can tough it out He thought. It's not all to cold. He pulled out his chair and gave the three girls a smile. He removed his Textbook, parchment and Quills next laying them out in front of him to begin class. |
Jory entered the Aritmancy class. He hoped he would be better at the subject this year. "Hello, Professor Hadley,'' he greeted his Head of House. Then he headed off to take a seat where he unpacked his books, quills and parchment. |
the more the merrier xD Quote:
Then Alyssa saw Oakey walk into the classroom. She noticed that he had been avoiding her lately and spending more time with his friend Mordred. She couldn't blame him. She always ended up crying every time they talked, but Alyssa was determined to make things right. Quote:

Ira entered the Arithmancy clssroom. She had begun liking this subject more this year, which surprised herself. Maybe it was the subject. Or maybe it was Professor Hadley. What=evr it was, Ira liked Arithmancy... for now! She first greeted the professor, "Hello Professor Hadley!" she chirped excitedly, "Nice to see you again." Looking around, Ira smiled and waved a small hello to Alyssa and Minerva. |
Arithmancy is Jonathan's worst subject. Don't get him wrong, he tries his best to do so but doesn't seem to get the whole thing. Maybe, he needs tutoring in this subject especially because, he's having NEWTs this year. Sigh. Walking inside the room, their was directions written on the board. Looking at the professor, Jonathan gave out a smile as he walked in front to take a seat in the front area. "Good day Professor" he greeted. He then placed his bag on his lap as soon as he sat down, took out his book, parchment and quill. |
Desiree had never taken Arithmancy before, but since this was her third year, she figured she needed to start. She walked in and was greeted with a cool, but not unpleasant breeze. She smiled slightly at the unfamiliar Professor, who she only recognized from the feasts. "Hello Professor" she said politely before taking a seat near the front, but not in the very first row. She just wanted to see, not get called on for everything. She took out all her materials and arranged them on her desk. This class was all about math right? Well this would be interesting. And she actually wasn't being sarcastic for once, she liked math. Although she had a feeling that might change after this.. She'd just have to wait and see. |
GAH. Another lesson. And a lesson that Theo didn't have a clue about, too. Arithmancy? No... they didn't get stuff like this in the muggle world. Theodore dragged his bag along the floor as he entered the classroom. "Hi, professor." The first year found the closest seat he could find, pulled out his stuff, and waited for the lesson. |
Talia had laughed at her when she'd decided to cast an undetectable extension charm on her school bag nefore she'd left for the train, but as the weather had started getting colder, Stella knew that that charm was probably what would save her. It wasn't really cold, but getting cooler out, so she'd started carrying an oversized cardigan sweater around. She probably was going to need to sneak that back into her father's closet when she went back home during the holidays, andfind something new to carry around, but for now it was her warmth. And she'd slipped it out as she'd stepped into Arithmancy, sliding her arms inside the sleeves while she walked toward an empty seat. She wasn't about to complain to the professor, after all. "Bonjour, Professor Hadley," she greeted the woman, looking at her a bit curiously as she seemed to be off in a trance or something. Maybe that explained why it was so cool inside the room, and she finished putting the cardigan on under her robes after she'd set her bag down on the floor by her feet. She'd be warm, and still not out of uniform. Then she leaned over to pull her textbook out, along with parchment, quill and ink, settling in to wait for class to begin. Hopefully the professor snapped out of whatever was going on by then. |
ARITHMANCY!!! As in, Wizard maths? Chelle entered the Arithmancy classroom and took a seat. She was excited about this lesson, as she had a feeling it was going to be similar to Maths in the Muggle world. Maths was one of her favourite subjects. "Hey, Professor!" she said, smiling, and waited for the lesson to begin. |
As she stepped inside the Arithmancy classroom, Nora was glad to see that professor Hadley allowed some fresh air to filter in. "Hello, professor," she smiled at her, after which she made her way to a desk in the front row. She wasn't really in the mood to calculate anything but, by sitting in the front, she hoped it'll help her concentrate better. |
Kurumi approached the classroom and fluffed her bangs a little before entering it. Woah...why was it so...nippy in here? Kurumi tugged on her robes a bit and eyed the windows out of the corner of her eye. Was this some sort of new way to make sure students stayed awake? Shrugging, Kurumi made her way to the front of the room and set her things down before looking at Professor Hadley. "Good day, Professor Hadley," Kurumi said with a faint smile, her gaze drifting to the seat next to her. She looked back towards Professor Hadley now and tried to figure out what sort of expression that was on her face. "Everything...alright, professor?" she asked as she lowered her voice, just in case the woman didn't want to have any attention brought to her. Sitting down, Kurumi glanced at the seat beside her. The seat that had always been his seat. Treyen's seat. He had sat next to her almost every lesson since she was a first year and now...it was empty. Treyen had graduated and was off being incredible elsewhere, as he should be. Still didn't prevent a small frown from appearing on her lips as she began to set her textbook, parchment, and quills on the table. |
He was unsure why, but Dale was feeling the cold more than usual today. He absentmindedly rubbed at each forearm in turn as he glanced around the classroom. Seeing Hadley, he started to say something in greeting, but, noticing she seemed a little distant, he settled for a nod as well. Dumping his stuff at one of the tables nearer the front of the room (hey, he wanted to catch up and sitting at the back would make him very distracted), Dale got out the book and his writing stuff before leaning his elbows on the desk, face on his hands, and then twirled his quill between his fingers. Contemplation. This was the time for it. |
Arithmancy. Messer never good at this particular subject. But since his lovely Head of House is really good with Arithmancy now he started to understand the subject. So with his backpack slung on his right shoulder, the young Hufflepuff entered the classroom. "Good day, Professor Hadley." he gave her a smile before he went to find himself a seat. Oh look who's here! Quote:

Zack was very sure that Arithmancy was one of the subjects that he couldn't understand at all. He didn't know much in arithlmancy. Even though he tried to pay attention in his first year but still nothing that he knew went in his head. And yet here he was to take more of arithmancy which he would never understand. He entered the class and took a seat next to the window and looked at the board. He kept his bag at the side and removed his textbook and parchment and quill sitting the on his seat he looked for professor and said "Hello professor" he said and smiled. |
She was determined. Glenn would go to this class and not make the stupid mistakes she made before last year. Third year. Thirteen. Teenager. She could do this! "Morning Professor." Glenn said as she entered the class and chose a free desk. She dumped her bag on the floor and took out her journal that she did most of her school work in. As she was glancing over her old notes, she noticed it was a bit cooler in this room than it usually was. She pulled her house scarf from her bag and wrapped it around her neck. Brrrrrrrrr. |
Prue walked into the Arithmancy room, surprised that she even managed to find it without help this time. She really was a pathetic 3rd year student. Not that she had to admit that to anyone... "Hello Professor Hadley" she said smiling before she looked at the board, smiling slightly more at the fact that the instructions were already there despite the professors trance like state of being. She slowly moved over to the Hufflepuff girl she recognized to be in her year... what was her name again? Glenn? Something like that anyway. "Um... do you mind if I sit here?" |
