Harvey wasnt sure whether she was still upset from the other day.. but she seemed to be.. as she didnt say how she was.. so that told him that maybe she was and wasnt telling him.. "Oh.. er nothing.. just came to see my buddy here.. and then I .. er.. saw you. Er.. how about you?" he asked looking at her not bothering to ask about the folded parchment.. she would tell him if she wanted to.. her parchment.. her choice..

Minerva eyed him not sure she was up for small talk or not. She then shrugged, "Well I came up to see midnight, but he is not here. So I decided to write a letter to umm my grandparents." and Eddie, but he didn't need to know that part. "Have you seen midnight at all?"

Harvey listened as she spoke to him "Oh thats good.. oh! well dont complain to them about me too much.. or they wont let you return to Hogwarts" he chuckled a little.. wow! bad joke!!.. he looked away.. what was wrong with him?!.. "Er.. no I havent seen Midnight" he looked around.. nope not here.. he then looked at Frost and the Minnie "Well.. if Midnight doesnt turn up by the time you have finished the letter.. then you can always use my buddy here you know that .. right?" or had she forgotten that?.. well this was a little tougher than he thought.

Minerva looked at Frost then back to her parchment. "I know and thank you." she played a bit with the parchment and moved her bracelet out of the way. She looked around why was this so awkward between them. She was happy to see him, but irritated as well. Why am I so angry all the time she thought to herself. She was feeling so many different things. She sighed mid-as-well tell him what she is writing. "Harvey things are not going well around here I think you can agree. I am sending an owl to see if I can just leave now instead of sticking around. I should have never come back."

"You dont need to thank me.. I can do that much for you as a friend" he said as she played with her parchment and he looked at Frost and gave him some attention.. he then heard her call his name and he looked at her as he listened to her.. and as he did.. it was something that he didnt want to hear.. once again.. she wanted to leave.. he remembered last time he managed to get her to stay.. would he be able to do the same this time round.. it was worth trying "I see.. well Mins.. I dont agree with that.." he looked at the ground in front of him now "Maybe it seems like it.. but to tell you the truth.. it actually felt great to be hanging out with someone.. rather than sitting out there alone.. no-one to talk to.. everyone was so busy.. yeah I was too.. but still its nice to hang out with people.. especially friends that you are closest to" he looked at her "cause those friends can brighten up even the darkest of days." he then realised he had been staring at her.. and looked away and cleared his throat "It would be great if you decided to stick around cause things around here can change in a split second.. so you never know when things might be good again.. but its upto you" he couldnt help but look back at her "But if you were to leave.. then know this.. I would miss you.. I have done all this time.. missed all 3 of you.. but school does that to you" he smiled a little.. he had to remember that she had been through alot and was upset.. so he hoped he hadnt said too much.

Minerva looked at him for awhile. She knew everything he was saying was true and he meant everything he said, but she just felt so distant from him. Like she was looking at a stranger. "Well I think those times are not happening anytime soon since the other two are no where to be found. Maybe they are together." she felt the anger sound in her voice. She quickly stopped and looked away. "I hate this bloody year. Why can't things just go away." She stood up. "Why are you the only one that keeps trying and trying?" she started pacing the flooring knowing she had gotten loud and glad that only owls were there with them.

He listened to her as she spoke.. he then looked at her.. and watched as she became more upset.. oh boy.. did nothing he say make a difference now.. it seemed everytime he said anything it would upset her.. but he had to respond to that.. since she was questioning him "Yeah that maybe true.. but just cause they are nowhere to be found.. doesnt mean that you and me cant hang out.. like we used to." he watched as she paced the floor "Well if I dont try.. then I may lose you guys.. and I dont want that! you are the bestest friends I have in this school.. you know that and I do too.. we have had some great times and I want us to have more of those.. even if for a while it IS without Ame and Justin.. you and me have hung out many times just us.. and that can continue.. just us! like always.." he then got up and went to her to stop her pacing and he held her shoulders like he had done many times before and he looked at her "like always Mins.. like always.. Mins in these few days that we have hung out.. I have actually felt happy for once.. in a school year that hasnt been the best.. so what do you say? you up for staying.. or do you still want to leave?" he asked.. hoping not to hear the words that she wanted to leave.. if she did.. he would try one last time to get her to stay.. after that.. if she wanted to go.. he may have to let her.. cause everything he said didnt seem to have an effect on her.

Minerva looked at him. Why was he trying so hard. She looked at way feeling the sting in her eyes trying to hold back. She was tired of showing how upset she was in front of him. "Harvey, I.. Ummm" she didn't even know what she wanted to say anymore. She looked up at him in silence not knowing what to say then she did something she did not know she would ever do again. She leaned in and kissed him on the cheek and then turned and left the owls.

Harvey looked at her waiting for her to answer as she looked at him.. she then looked away and he thought that she was going to say that she didnt want to stay.. and he was thinking of something else to say that would make her stay.. she then said his name and struggled to get the words out.. she then looked up at him and he was ready to hear no .. but then she was silent.

She then completely surprised him and did something that he was not expecting.. she actually kissed him on the cheek before turning and leaving without sending the letter.. Harvey watched her leave and unknowingly touched the cheek that she kissed.. the letter wasnt sent.. and that meant she was staying.. for now.. he smiled widely at this thought.. he then realised his hand was on his cheek.. and removed before remembering that SHE had kissed HIM!! on the cheek!!.. she hadnt done that in a long time.. he couldnt believe that it had happened.. it felt like old times again.. and he hoped that it would stay that way..

He then turned to his owl "Well buddy.. it looks like she is staying. I think that maybe.. just maybe.. things will be alright.. I hope so.. I dont like this distance that is between us.. its horrible." he said as he realised that he had better go as well "Well buddy.. I guess you want to rest.. huh.. well you go eat and rest or whatever it is you want to do.. and I am going to head off.. glad to see you are well buddy.. see you soon" he said smiling at his owl as he watched his owl fly up to get some rest. Harvey then looked around and he too left remembering what had just happened all the way to his common room.

If she hadn't already been breathless, she certainly was now as she felt his lips against hers again. The red flags and sirens that had been flashing and sending warnings to her were long gone now and its place was nothing but a warmth like when the sun broke the horizon at daybreak. When his hand reached up and caressed her hair, she smiled against his lips, allowing herself to just forget how wrong this was and savor their closeness before it was too late.

Closer to him than before now, Kurumi whimpered softly into his lips when his hand was on her cheek again. Internally, she continued to battle with herself about ending this and doing what she had told herself she was going to do, but she just could not see how something so wrong was feeling so right. It shouldn't. It wasn't fair...but a lot of things were not fair...like her rational thinking starting to slowly creep back into her consciousness.

Right now, in this moment, was the most alive she had felt in a long time...and she just couldn't let go...didn't want to...

But then, as was about to trace the contours of his jaw line again, she felt something heavy against her chest. Something restricting. A reminder. Her hand instead went to her chest, while her other was still in Lewis' hand, squeezing it to let him know that she was still there - not that either of them needed a reminder - and she felt the silver pendant around her neck. She gasped softly against his lips again and her eyes fluttered open where a blurred vision of Lewis and Jonathan faded in and out of existence before her. Her hand griped her chest tightly and she slowly pulled her lips away from his, but did not let go of his hand just yet.

Just a second longer...just a second...

Her eyes met his again, showing him the same thing she had earlier while her fingers traced over the knuckles on his hands. Slowly, eyes still on his, she let go of his hand until just their finger tips were barely touching. "Lewis....I....I have to go..." she whispered. It hurt her so much to say that, because she really didn't want to, but knew that if she didn't she would regret it. No, regret wasn't exactly the right word, but she just should not stay.

Letters forgotten on the floor, Kurumi took several shaking steps back away from Lewis until she herself hit the stone wall. Her gaze flicked downwards for a brief moment, trying to compose herself and not cry. Her tears were what had brought him closer to her just now, and she needed to keep some sort of control over the situation. Which was almost impossible when she looked back up at him.

Eyes locked on his green ones again, Kurumi forced herself to turn around and go around the stone wall out of view. If Lewis ran after her, she still would be hidden from view as she had collapsed into a pile on the ground behind some crates. It was there that she cried tears of confusion, happiness, sadness, and everything in between. Her body froze up again, seemingly suspended in time, and after several long moments she had almost forgotten what she was crying about. Confused, she pulled her legs up against her chest and leaned her cheek against them as she tried to sort out just what it was that had her heart shattered in pieces all over the floor.

If anybody asked him later how the second kiss had happened, Lewis wouldn't even be able to tell them. It had just...happened. They simply couldn't stay away from each other, it seemed. And while he knew it was wrong, that they shouldn't, he was in no position to pull away, to break the kiss. This was about them. And only them. And he was in no way going to ruin this moment. They deserved a bit easiness.

At least that's what he kept on telling himself while kissing her.

He smiled once again against her lips, feeling like this was one of the happiest moments in his entire life. It was just perfect, and even the alarmbells and negative thoughts had chosen this moment to shut up for now. Right now all he felt was pure happiness. Running a hand through her hair again, Lewis sighed contently against her lips, wishing this moment would never end.

But it had to and it did way too soon.

When Kurumi pulled her lips from his again, Lewis knew that this time she was actually pulling away from him. It was different than before and he knew what it meant. And while he really didn't want it to happen, he had known - deep down inside - that it would eventually. Which was also why he opened his eyes as soon as their lips stopped touching and met her gaze, a variety of emotions reflected in them. This was it then. Now the moment was truly over.

Lewis moved his gaze for a moment to look over her shoulder, trying to even out his breathing, seeing as he was quite out of breath. Not that he was very successful at that. With a gasp he looked back sharply at Kurumi's face again when she slowly moved back and away from him, without however letting go of his hand. He didn't want this to end. He really didn't. Couldn't they just stay up here forever?

But no, they couldn't. And he knew that. Not that he agreed with it but he knew it just didn't work that way. So when she moved back some more, Lewis' only reaction was to try and hold on to her hand for just a moment longer, holding on to them a moment longer. This was just...impossible. Right now anyway. It was wrong and they'd allowed it go on for way too long already. Not that he regretted any of it. But he still felt mighty guilty for what had just happened.

If only there was a way to make this right. For them to be right.

His eyes never left hers even when she moved backwards - very much like he had done earlier - until her back hit the wall. In those last few seconds up here they had together he tried to convey all those feelings, all those confusing emotions to her through his eyes. To make sure she knew. Not that it would help in some way but he just felt that he wanted her to know. In case that wasn't clear already.

Lewis swallowed hard when she finally broke their gaze and...moved away behind the wall so she was out of sight. He stared at the place she'd been last - against the wall, gazing at him - for a moment longer. He then took a rather shaky breath, closed his eyes for a brief second to try and control his emotions before turning around and walking out of the owlery.

Ameliah skipped in happily, searching... Aha! She walked over to her handsome brown owl, Levrell, who was looking at her intently. She caressed the side of his head, greeted with a low hoot and an affectionate nibble from his unusually green beak. He was her best friend before Hogwarts, and still is. Levrell looked up at Ameliah with an expecting eye. "I can never fool you, can I?" she chuckled, handing him the food scraps of her lunch.
