Just down the corridor from the Transfiguration classroom is another room. When you enter you can see a long table against the wall on the right hand side, and several plush seats scattered around the room. In the far corner is an enchanted metal ring embedded in the ground - this is for those older students to practice 'Incendio' SAFELY. On the table are boxes, currently empty, but filled with various bits and bobs when needed. A sign hanging above the table reads:

Professor Magnus will open the room for anyone that wishes to use it, and when she has free time. She will be present during any practising, if you want help, just ask her.
OOC: Please do as the description says - have your character practice any spell they need/want to learn. Don't go overboard with things that their age range might not be able to do, though, please. And any spell casting of a dangerous nature will just get your character in trouble, so no wilful setting fire to anything, etc. If the Professor is needed, just put her name in the subject bar and I will be there...She will be constantly watching.
Well, at least she praised his try. That relieved him and João smiled back in return. Yeah, it wasn't that bad for his first try, although he was accustomed to getting the spells alright at the first try. Shrugging to himself, he waited for her next directions, which were...
See the transformation himself?!
No thank you. He'd rather pass those horrible moments of transformation of his handsome face into a dog's.
"Shall I try now?" Guess he should. Taking a breath, he got the mirror and stared at it, trying to imagine himself like a black, labrador retriever. Tapping his upper mouth, he said "Capistrum," again clearly. He kept staring at the mirror, although it horrified him, and he actually directed his transformation. Or so he wanted to think. He wasn't sure if such a thing was possible once the spell was spoken. But it felt nice and reassuring just to think he could.
Maybe his muzzle was a bit shorter than it should be, he wasn't sure how long they were supposed to be. He usually opted to stay clear of any animals with long teeth and a strong chin. Though, checking the mirror again, he was pleased with himself that the rest seemed to be alright. Even the furs were there, so it was a better job than the last one, right?
If he could smile, he would have been grinning now.
As Joao took the mirror, Isabelle retook her position on the cushion opposite him so she could observe what he did. Upon his question she nodded that he should and proceeded to watch him try again.
Everything went a little better this time. He had more fur, which a dog should have on it's face. The muzzle was stubbier than before, but Issy had no clue what type he was after so it could very well have been what he wanted.
Leaning forward she tapped his face and it slowly changed back to normal. "Very good, how did that feel to you? When you have a chance to be able to see how things change, it generally helps you form a better picture of the result in your mind."
Flicking her wand at some candles she had placed around the room, they lit up and created a warm glow. The actual lighting dimmed to make it a calmer atmosphere. "Now, meditation is something you need to do in order to clear your mind enough to effect a transformation without a wand. We'll do that now, to finish this first lesson, okay?" Although, of course, he wouldn't be doing any transforming yet. That would take a few more lessons.

João erased that grin immediately from his face when she tapped his face without warning him first. Shrugging at he question slightly, he said "I think I bent the transformation in the way I wanted it to be, but then again, I'm not sure if that feeling was merely physicological." If it relieved him that he could do so, it was still good and effective, right?
Meditation? He blinked. Really? He didn't really believed in such things. Creating a--a--spiritual medium and then expecting something out of ordinary to happen, as if magic wasn't extraordinary enough--he'd rather pass, thank you. But, since Professor seemed to care about it a good deal, he sighed and nodded.
"I suppose it also means wandless magic?" Anything extraordinary without a wand was wandless magic, practically. If he managed that in any stage of his life, he would achieve the most illustrious thing in his life.
elephant-astic•wanderlust•stay in the ninedaaays the original Taco Belle•look at the flowers✿
Ella entered the transfiguration practice room with her arms full. She had her messenger bag, filled with her wand, notes, gloves, and handful of thimbles. She also had her transfiguration text and a basket full of flowers she had just finished cutting from the student garden. She found an empty spot to work and placed her things down with a relieved sigh. Now all she had to do was make three vases, fill them with water, and arrange the flowers in them. This wouldn't be a problem as long as the vases held the water!
Ella took out her notebook and placed it down on the table, open to the notes from lesson 2. She then removed her wand and a thimble, placing the thimble in front of her. Now what was the spell that transformed the vase again? Flor-Flora-Flore...she tried hard to remember without looking down at her notes but was drawing a blank. Finally giving in, she read the word aloud with a nod. "Floreneo!"Duh, Ella. Why didn't you remember that? Ella picked up her wand and pointed it at the thimble, imagining a beautiful yellow vase in her head. She wanted to make one she could place in the common room. She pointed her wand at the vase and with a loud clear voice said, "Floreneo!" The thimble had transformed before her eyes into the exact vase she had imagined. She curled her fingers and gently knocked on it with her knuckles to see how sturdy it was. It seemed strong enough and didn't crumble at her touch which was a good sign. "Alright, now to see if it holds water..."
Ella took out her wand and pointed it at the vase. "Aguamenti!" she said. She watched nervously as the water squirted into the vase, looking closely for any leaks. This vase seemed to be holding up well though and when the water was about full Ella said, "Finite".
Ella then looked into her basket and gathered some of the yellow and white flowers she had cut, placing them into the vase a few at a time. After some adjusting, Ella looked down with a happy sigh. Her arrangement looked beautiful and she was sure it would bring happiness to those who saw it in the Hufflepuff common room. "Not too shabby...One down, two to go!" she said with a smile.

Reason: adding on some missing things.
Belle found the practice room and hopefully the teacher would be here to help her if things went wrong. She took out another nimble from her messenger bag and began to make a vase out of it. She did the wand movements and said the incantation "Floreneo!" then the nimble turned into a purple vase. It had a little style to it which made it soo cute. Belle began to fill it with water "Aquamenti!" she said and it filled with water. Then she went outside the practice room to find some flowersw in the transfiguartion courtyard. She found some pink and white flowers to use as her flower arrangement. The whole process was coming along just like she planned. "I love this one better than my first one!" she cried. "Alright two down, one more to go!"
A path is not simply for walking, its purpose lies in moving forward and improving oneself.
Wand at the ready and three thimbles in his jeans pocket while holding a bouquet of flowers he had cut in the greenhouses. Daichi entered the Transfiguration practise room to do his homework. He was excited to start since this particular spell was one he was getting really good at and he couldn't wait to try it out again.
Feeling happy that he had finally found a spell he was good at besides scourgify, the Slytherin stood somewhere in the corner of the room and took out the first thimble. He sat down on the floor and placed the thimble in front of him and the flowers on the other side. He would use those later. He pointed his wand in an downwards motion on the thimble and drew circles in a clock-wise motion while saying "Floreneo"
He watched as a colorful light burst out his the wand and hit the thimble but as it began to chance, Daichi noticed that something was wrong. And he was right when the spell stopped working half way and he had yet another Thimble/Vase. "Ugh great" he muttered under his breath as he picked up the ThimbAse and studied it. It looked cool though.
Placing the ThimbAse back on the floor, Daichi moved his wand like he did before. "Floreneo" he said again and this time he sounded more focused than before. The ThimbAse transformed and soon a boll glass vase stood before him. Daichi smiled and pushed his fist in the air in celebration before he leaned to the side to grab his flowers.
He took the orange flowers first and arrange them in the vase. Looking around for a place to set the vase down, Daichi figured that , since this was a practise room and students were bound to ...loose control of their magic it would shatter the vase when someone would accidently hit it. No , he needed to find another place inside the castle where he was sure the vase wouldn't be in danger.
The Slytherin third year got up from the ground and picked the vase up to walk outside of the practise room to find a perfect place to set the flowers...but first...he needed to..go... you know...bathroom, hehe.
