Transfiguration Practice Room Just down the corridor from the Transfiguration classroom is another room. When you enter you can see a long table against the wall on the right hand side, and several plush seats scattered around the room. In the far corner is an enchanted metal ring embedded in the ground - this is for those older students to practice 'Incendio' SAFELY. On the table are boxes, currently empty, but filled with various bits and bobs when needed. A sign hanging above the table reads: OOC: Please do as the description says - have your character practice any spell they need/want to learn. Don't go overboard with things that their age range might not be able to do, though, please. And any spell casting of a dangerous nature will just get your character in trouble, so no wilful setting fire to anything, etc. ;) If the Professor is needed, just put her name in the subject bar and I will be there...She will be constantly watching. |
Carrying the box filled with paper from the classroom, Kurumi entered the transfiguration practice room as had been instructed by Professor Magnus and scanned it for an empty place to put it down on. The table was already covered with boxes and various things for students to practice on, so moving things to the side would make it a little too cluttered. A cluttered room where transfiguration spells were being practiced didn't sound like such a good idea. Moving towards one of the bookshelves, Kurumi found some space around the middle and slid the box between some books using them as bookends. Taking a step back, Kurumi felt a little guilty. She hadn't actually expected or really wanted to receive points for this. In fact, receiving points for doing something that had been motivated by her want to apologize through actions for last term seemed almost...unfair. The prefect frowned for a moment and wondered if she should wait for Professor Magnus to arrive or dismiss herself back to her own common room. She would wait a few minutes just to be safe. |
Minerva was just on her way to the practice room when she noticed the notice board with their homework. Well how convenient she thought. She went into the practice room and put down her bag. Pulling out the muggle paper she had asked Professor Magnus about as well as three pictures. She loved these pictures and since they were doubles from the ones in her room she was giving them as presents. Now what did she want the frame to look like. She looked at the pictures. Minerva knew she couldn't do to girly of frames since the boys would not be happy. So she got out some crayons and started sketching what she might want her frames to look like. |
Post 1 She walked into the practice room, since it seemed to be a good place to do her transfiguration homework. She pulled out a paper and first drew the type of frame on it that she wanted to make. |
Minerva pulled out her brown and started making a square on the frame. She made sure to do dark in some spots and light in others. She wanted to look as nice as possible this frame was going to someone special. Minerva took a black crayon out and moved in some designs.Minerva started by making straight lines up the frame and then moved around to make it look like plants going around. |
Post 2 She used some colored pencils she had in her bag and drew tiny stars and butterflies around the edge. She looked at her work, thought wasn't the best, she still decided that it needed a little more work. She frew a few more and but her colored pencils back in her bag. |
hope you don't mind.. took a break from my HW..:) Quote:

Post 1 Ella entered the Transfiguration practice room, eager to get her homework done. She smiled when she noticed Minnie, an older girl she had met while studying, and waved. She found an empty chair and plopped down, dropping her bag on the floor. She reached around inside the bag, trying to find her quill and paper, as she began to think of what kind of frame she should make. "Here you are!" She placed the paper on top of a book in her lap and closed her eyes, trying to visualize the frame she would like to make. The picture that Ella was going to be using was one she had taken of the lake. The sun was shining and the sky was as blue as the sea. She was quite proud of the photograph and would happily give it away as a gift when her frame was done. She wanted her frame to represent the lake in some way, kind of like an extension of her picture. She pictured the giant squid carved in a dark wood, maybe walnut. The squid would be in the top right corner of the frame and its tentacles would spread out around the frame, swirling and encompassing the wood. With a specific idea now in mind, Ella put her quill to paper and began to draw. |
Post 3 I don't mind xD I'm multitasking nyan~* :P Quote:

Post 2 Ella's sketch was coming out great. She drew a large square on her paper and a smaller square inside of that to represent the frame. In the top right corner she sketched the head of the squid. She was sketching lightly, drawing a triangle above a rectangle and a circle under that. She would merge the shapes to create the head of the creature. She then began to sketch the tentacles. She made them long and took care to draw the ends of each one to produce a swirling effect around the rest of the frame. She used crayons...yes, crayons... that her mother had insisted on packing and colored the squid a tan color. She then shaded the rest of the frame a dark brown. She wanted it to look very natural. With her sketch done, she was ready to start trying to bring it to life. |
post 4 She drew a square on her paper,"Statua Habitum." She saw that it looked like she wanted it to. She put her wand away quietly. |
Minerva took her blue and her purple crayons out and began to put some color on the frame. A few flowers would work nicely. Once that was done she looked at it and etched it well in her mind. She wanted it just right. Minerva then pulled out her wand and traced the frame "Statua Habitum" the picture of her frame turned into the frame she wanted. SPOILER!!: After making sure it was perfect Minerva pointed her wand "Reverto" the frame went back to the paper. |
Post 5 She walked over to Minvera,"Since we are suppose to give someone our frame when we finish it for the assignment." She hands her the frame,"There you go." She said cheerfully. |

"Classes are okay, the spells are getting more and more confusing, but that's the joy of things I guess." She said with a smirk."How are classes for you?" |
