"I'm sorry, Oakey. The others should be coming around shortly. I'm sure that they will have plenty for you to select from." Alyssa told him apologetically before she moved on to the young Gryffindor girl.



"Hey there, Anya. That's a nice vase you have there. I have some lovely flowers for you. I'm sorry that I don't have much of a selection, so you could always take what you want from mine and when the others come around, you can pick more from there. Remember to put on your work gloves. These flowers have thorns on their stems."Alyssa reminded Alec's best friend.

OOC: Just catching up, I've been camping!

Zhenya listened as the Professor spoke about her thimble Vase. Of COURSE! How silly of her. She let her body slump forward in her chair and she hit her head quite hard on the table. Then she shook her head. How silly had she been!

"Thank you Professor! I don't know how I forgot that one!" she said, rubbing her head.

She picked up her wand and pointed it at the thimble and said "Floreneo!" and it turned into a vast - and not just a thimble vase! It was a Red Vase and she thought it was perfect.

"What do you think Professor? It looks a little better than a thimble vase, doesn't it?" she asked, with a huge grin on her face.

She raised her hand, still smiling, and waited patiently for the water people to fill her vase up.

Jen sat tight as her purple with yellow spots vace was on her desk waiting for flowers

Sierra just shrugged. "I wasn't here anyway. I was off filling up the vases with water," she said. So, yeah. She'd just put her hand up anyway. Blah. Not much of a selection left?! ...but. ...but. Argh! So Sierra had slaved away like a house elf and filled up everyone's vases, only to get what was left over flower-wise. She felt like walking up to another student and yanking their flowers out their vase, but she didn't.

So she made do with what she had. She wasn't much of a flower person anyway. She'd gotten roses once and had crushed them up to use in a potion. If they took these out the classroom, she'd likely do the same with them. She arranged them here and there until she was able to come up with a decent arrangement.

Ella gave Alyssa a reassuring smile, wanting her to know she wasn't mad. "No worries Alyssa, it took me a while to get water so it's okay. I'm sure whatever you have left will be great!" She reached in without worry as her gloves were already on and picked out a couple of each color that Alyssa had left in her basket. "Thanks again." She said, placing them on to her desk. Not much to work with but Ella didn't mind a challenge and decided to make the most out of what she was given.

"Thanks!" Tayla smiled at the Hufflepuff girl, happy to know someone liked her vase. "All colours, please! Hogwarts pride. What's your name by the way? I'm Tayla."

She took the flowers she needed and started thinking about how to arrange them. Just as she was about to start, she heard the professor speak.

Tayla grinned as the professor came near and saw her vase. She was content that Professor Magnus wouldn't end the class thinking Tayla was the rusty-vase girl.

Tayla put on her gloves and started arranging the flowers carefully. She put the red and blue ones at the middle, and the yellow and green ones on each side.

Sorry guys I was traveling home from my parents most of the day :)
 

Minerva smiled at Tayla "My name is Minerva, but you can call me Minnie." she then saw others with their hands up and walked over to them letting them each pick out the flowers they wanted for their vases. She loved helping and was having so much fun saying Hi to everyone in class. She noticed that there wasn't any hands up for she went back to her vase and placed some flowers into her own vase before watching for others to put their hands up.

Amelia noticed that there was another girl who wanted her vase to be filled with water. So leaving her desk and her new vase, she headed over to where she was seated. "Let's see how this works out," she said as she filled the vase using Aguamenti. At the right moment, she stopped it with a Finite.

Annabelle saw the nice girl about to give her flowers. "Oh thank you Minnie, i am Annabelle but you can call me Belle for short." Belle picked out the yellow and purple flowers that were her favorite color. The vases actually looked prettier than she imagined.

"You are very welcome." Minnie smiled. "I love your choice in flowers."

Jen said "thanks" and put her flowers in the vase. No special arrangement just flowers.

Vlimia waited for the girl with the flowers to reach her. She started to regret sitting in the very back. To distract herself, Vlimia visualized what she wanted her flower arrangement to look like. Something that suited her rainbow vase, definitely. Something with a deep red, a dark blue and a nice creamy white. Vlim had a set image in her mind that she wanted to put together... but she would probably get the leftover flowers. All the good colours would have been used up. Well, Vlim would see what she got.

Alyssa noticed that there were still plenty of students who hadn't got their flowers yet, but she was fresh out of them. So she went up to the Professor and asked her,"Professor do you have any more flowers to hand out? I'm all out of flowers and there are still plenty of students who haven't got theirs."

Zhenya started eyeing her Vase off, and running her fingers over it. IT was so smooth, she was amazed!

Then someone came over to her with her wand. She looked up and watched as she filled her vase with water. "Thank you. Your name is Amelia, isn't it?" she asked kindly.

She looked at the vase intensely to see if there were any leaks, but there didn't seem to be. She was relieved and started to look around at other peoples flower arrangements.

As Alyssa waited for the Professor to tell her whether she had any more spare flowers that she could hand out, she remembered the flowers in her own vase. She had two flowers in yellow, blue and white. Alyssa figured that she would give up her for now and take whatever was remaining later.

So she went back to Ella. She had felt bad that she had been stuck with the left over flowers, and so offered her the flowers she had. "Here Ella, you can take mine. I have yellow, blue and white. I'll just take whatever there is left over once all of you have what you need."Alyssa smiled handing over her flowers to her fellow house mate.




Then Alyssa spotted Minerva and went up to her. "Hi Minerva. I noticed that you still have lots of flowers. Could you give some to Sierra? I didn't have of a selection for her to choose from. I'm sure that she'd appreciate yours better."Alyssa told Minerva pointing her in Sierra's direction.

Zhenya had decided she wanted to make a rainbow flower display, so she raised her hand and waited for them to come and hand her some flowers.

She was so happy that the water in her vase had not started leaking as well, and she was excited to start practising on the homework thimbles. Maybe she would make her mother one!

Jory looked around his desk as Alyssa mentioned the gloves. They weren't anywhere to be found and he was certain he had taken them out of his trunk this morning. He probably had left them on his bed.

"Thanks, Alyssa,'' he said taking her gloves "I guess I forgot mine.'' Jory looked at the flowers left in her bucket and decided on some blue and yellow ones. He took a few of each and quickly arranged them in his vase. He felt like he was a florist.

"There,'' Jory said when he was done. "It looks okay.'' He pulled of the gloves. "Thanks again, Alyssa!''

"Glad to be of help, Jory. Wow! You made a fantastic arrangement. You definitely have an artistic streak in you." Alyssa complimented him as she took back her gloves and put it back on.

Was gone all day. But catching up now ^_^ (PS usage at 2 am xD)
 

Waiting patiently, Stella continued thinking about what would look best in her vase. It definitely wouldn't hold very many flowers, so a true house unity arrangement was probably impossible. Therefore, she was going to stick with elegant, and maybe sunny. Considering she hadn't seen any hydrangeas in the collection Professor Magnus had had at the beginning of the lesson, she'd have to work with what was there. Not to mention, what was in the basket of whichever volunteer had noticed her hand. She'd just have to hope that what she wanted was available.

She smiled at the young Hufflepuff who had answered her request, and perused the collection of flowers being offered. "Thank you," she replied before the girl moved on, selecting a single sunflower and laying it on her desk in the meantime. She could wait a moment before actually filling her vase, after all, and besides, she needed to make sure the flower was ready. Therefore, she let her wand flick out of its holster, then used Diffindo to slice off the very end of the stem before carefully sliding the flower into her vase. That looked nice.

Flowers please. And LOL @ Sierra's very YELLOW flowers. xD
 

Swallowing hard, Lewis closed his eyes for a brief second to calm himself down. The girl couldn't hurt him in class. And she didn't even know his name so it was very unlikely she would find him outside class. But then again she knew which house he was in. Still, why was she mad at him in the first place?!

He shook his head a little as he opened his eyes again and put his head down on the desk, cheek first so he got a good look at the lower part of his vases. Which seemed to hold the water pretty well. REALLY well actually. There was absolutely no water on the desk! Okay, that meant he was ready for some flowers.

Not sure if he was supposed to SAY anything, Lewis settled with just raising his hand, hoping the flower-people would get what he wanted. At least the scary Slytherin girl wasn't one of them.

Minerva got to the back "Hello hope I didn't take to long. Go ahead and pick which ever flowers you would like." she smiled at the girl and waited for her to chose her flowers.

"Here Alyssa take some of these flowers until you get some more from Professor Magnus." she handed Alyssa some of the flowers out of her container she was carrying around.

"Hey Zhenya here are some flowers. Go ahead and pick which ones you want to use." Minerva smiled at the girl she had met at the crazy Balloon party. Then she looked around to see if Laura had changed her mind in trying to do her vase.

Minerva finally made her way to her fellow puff team mate. "Hey Lewis, sorry it took me so long. Go ahead and pick which ever flowers you would like. I hope I have ones you are looking for. If not I can go up and see what is still up front or Alyssa might have some."

"Oh wow! Thanks Minerva. When I get some more from the Profesor, I'll share them with you."Alyssa smiled her thanks. She then returned to where Sierra was and presented her with more flowers



"Hi Sierra, I know that I didn't give you many choices to select from earlier but I have more now. Would you like some more flowers to add to your beautiful arrangement?" Alyssa asked hoping that the Slytherin wouldn't 'bite' her head off for coming back again.

Before she even had a chance to scoot around the room, Alyssa and Minerva had beaten her to it. Although they both seemed to be running out of flowers, so she might be needed after all.

A wry smile played across her lips when Alyssa asked for more flowers. Nodding at her, Issy handed her the practically full bucket she had. "Here you go. Not many gone from here, so plenty to hand out. And don't forget to keep some for yourself."

Having handed over her own flowers, Isabelle folded her hands behind her back and went to look at the pretty arrangements that people had made and placed on her desk, when she heard her name - or rather title - being called. Turning on the spot, she walked over to the girl who had called and grinned. "Much better, Miss Burton. Well done."


"Does anyone need MY help, or is it just flowers and water you require at the moment?" Isabelle called out to the assembled children.




OOC: Class will close tomorrow, so those of you just starting arranging have time to finish. ;P

Minerva noticed everyone was busy working so she took the time in between passing out flowers to work on her arrangement a bit more. She moved flowers around and then looked at it again. That looked nice she thought. She kept glancing up to make sure no one needed her for flowers as she worked on her own. She took a step backwards and looked at her arrangement, yes exactly the way she wanted it.

Amelia nodded now as the girl asked if her name was Amelia. "Yes. And you are... Zhenya?" She was sure that it started with a Z because she had seen her in a few classes so far.

She looked at the vase and saw that there were no leaks in it. "Very nice vase." So many pretty vases! She loved looking at them.

Ella looked at Alyssa, eyes wide. She hadn't expected Alyssa to give up her own flowers and felt bad that she wouldn't have any of her own. She shook her head in refusal, not wanting to take what little Alyssa did have. "That's nice Alyssa but you don't have to! I mean, I have a lot of yellow already so maybe I can just take a couple of white? You keep your yellow and blue ones. Seriously!" She smiled, feeling grateful and a little bad for even accepting the white ones. "Thanks again Alyssa!"

Ella placed the white flowers she took and added them to the others on her desk. She picked up the small bunch and placed them into her rainbow vase, admiring the yellow and white flowers against the spectrum of other colors that circled them. She thought that it looked lovely and hoped the Professor would agree.

"Oh thank you so much, Professor. I did have some but I gave mine away to those who needed them. I'll pick some from here now. " Alyssa thanked the Professor.

Before looking to see who needed more flowers, Alyssa took some of each color, taking care to avoid the thorns even though she was wearing her gloves and carefully arranged them in her vase. Once she was done with her arrangement, she went around again calling out for anyone who needed flowers. "Anybody else needs flowers?"

"Here Minerva, the Professor has given me more. Please take some for yourself and thanks for sharing with me some from your basket earlier." Alyssa told her fellow house mate.

Violet smiled gratefully at the older girl who had poured water into her vase and set to arrange flowers in her pot. How is she going to arrange the flowers? Violet pondered momentarily for a moment. The professor had said that it is the anniversary this year so why not all the colours of the houses? She raised up her hand to call out on a volunteer and lend her some beautiful flowers "May I have some flowers please?" Violet hoped that she could finish her vase before the lesson ended today.

Minerva walked over to Violet "Here you go Violet pick what you want, we have plenty now." she smiled at the girl. " I really like your vase."

The Ravenclaw turned in his seat trying to watch the other students do their flower arrangement. He had seen his grandmother do it plenty of times, but it wasnt like he stood beside her just to watch it. More like he just ends up being there since he was being reprimanded.

With his gloved hands he took the red roses, blue orchids, green coneflowers and yellow sunflowers then started dropping them into the vase. He paused to examine his work. The flowers sat lazily in the vase, leaves covering nearly the entire jar....

Oh yeah work there mmhmm <_<

He looked around at the flower girls, there were some that was running out of flowers so he thought it best not to ask for more. But he needed to get his flowers to stand up and look alive. Not to mention the vase he worked hard on was now barely seen. Creasing his lips to the side he decided to do something about all those leaves covering up his colorful vase. Rolling a few pieces up, tucking them in between clumps of flowers, the arrangement started to take form. After a few minutes to tucking and tugging the flowers now stood lovely in its colorful vase.

"Oh why thank you. I love your choice of flowers as well."Annabelle noticed she was also a hufflepuff. "Hey i realized you are a hufflepuff. It is nice to meet someone from my own house." she said with a nice smile. Then Belle was finishing rearranging her flowers in the vase "Wow this looks nice. I might give this to my mom for a present." Belle said to herself. Then she put flowers in the red vase and it looked amazing.

Anya smiled. She put on her work gloves and accepted flowers from both girls. "Thanks Alyssa and Minerva." she said happily. She settled on sunflowers and roses. She didn't know why, but she liked the idea of yellow and red together.

She fidgeted with the flowers for awhile.

Then she smiled at her flowers in her vase. She liked it. It looked nice.

"That looks very nice, Anya. Is there someone special you are going to give this too. Uh...maybe Alec, your best friend? I know that he's a boy, but I'm sure that he'll love them."Alyssa told Anya.

Right. Arranging flowers could not be that hard. After she had filled her vase, which was not the most attractive vase in the room, with water with a simple Aguamenti spell she set to work collecting the flowers from the people around the room who were handing them out. She had collected the flowers she had wanted over several minutes and then looked out the sprawl of flowers in front of her. It could not be that hard. It was, after all, just an arrangement of flowers. There was no magic involved so putting them in vase couldn't be that difficult.

Oh how wrong she was...

It seemed that everytime she could move to put two flowers together they would be different lengths and then the colors would not match when she put them in the vase. Then there was the issue of arrangement so when she cut the flower stems to be the same lengths some would need to be taller than others for aesthetic reasons, but she would have already have cut the flower at that point making it impossible.

Finally she seemed to have put together and arrangement she was somewhat proud of... sort of.

Oh good. They had understood what he wanted. Or Minerva had. Good thing he got the flowers from somebody who was actually NICE. And not glaring at him for no apparent reason. Unlike other people.

Even giving the younger Hufflepuff a small smile, Lewis carefully picked out a lot few of the flowers she was holding out for him. "Thank you, Minerva. And no, yours are fine." His eyes flickered over towards Alyssa for a moment when she mentioned her. Yeah, no, that one had tried to hug him back after the Quidditch match. He wasn't sure he was comfortable taking flowers from her. Plus Minerva's were sufficient.

Alright. On to arranging those flowers. He had probably taken way too many but he really wanted to fit them all into his vase. So pushing them together as best as he could Lewis finally succeeded in fitting them all inside. Aw, yes, he really wasn't all that good at that whole flower-thing, was he?

Raising her hand, Elise grinned. She totally needed flowers, cause an empty vase was just ugly. "Over here!" she said, just in case they didn't see her hand.

"Oops I'm sorry I took so long to get to you. I didn't see your hand raised. Here you are. You have plenty to choose from but do be careful, some of them have thorns in them. I haven't met you before have I? Alyssa's the name. Nice to meet you."Alyssa smiled at the Ravenclaww.

Time was up for this lesson, unfortunately. Especially when they all seemed to be doing so well with the spell and the arranging. Taking a quick look at the vases that had already been placed on her desk, Isabelle turned back to face the children and waved her hand in the air.

"Okay everyone, I'm afraid we've run out of time! Could you all place your vases on my desk, as I'll be distributing them around various places in the school. Then you are free to go. Homework will be posted by the end of the day." Smiling at them all, she moved to the side to give them room to come to the front.

Grinning back, she shrugged. "It's alright," she smiled, selecting her flowrs carefully according to the plan she had in her head. Selecting a lot of purple and a few white roses, she set them on her table before turning back to the girl.

"I'm Elise," she smiled before getting back to WORK! Bringing her water-filled vase to the center of the table, she glanced at her diagram before adding the roses. As she added the lavenders, she cut some of the stems, so that they would be at different lengths.

Once she was done, she stepped back a little, comparing the final product to her calculations. It seemed alright, and she hadn't found any that needed replacing. Turning a sprig of lavender to the left a little, she nodded at the masterpiece. Ready.

Hearing Professor Magnus dismiss the class, she picked up her flower arrangement and carefully set it on Professor Magnus' desk. Grinning, she waved. "Thanks for the lesson, Professor Magnus!" she called as she exited the classroom.

Alyssa did as the Professor instructed and brought her vase with its floral arrangement and placed them on the Professor's desk. She then returned to her desk and looked at the other three vases that she had also transfigured. She was about to revert them back to thimbles before deciding to bring them up to the Professor to ask whether she would like to have them instead. So carrying vases, one, two and three up to the Professor, together with the basket of left over flowers, Alyssa asked her.

"Professor, I had transfigured four vases. Before I revert these three back to thimbles, I was wondering whether you could use them instead. I haven't tested to see whether they leak or not, but I'm confident that they won't. I could place the remaining flowers in them for you."

Ella scooped up her rainbow vase gently and headed towards the Professor's desk. She smiled as she placed it down, proud of herself for making a nice vase and a pretty great flower arrangement. She was actually quite surprised at how well it turned out. She smiled at Professor Magnus before heading for the door. "Bye Professor! Thanks for another great lesson." she said cheerfully. Transfiguration, though hard, was quickly becoming one of Ella's favorite subjects.

Lily looked up as the Professor spoke to end class. Lily packed her stuff up and got ready to leave before bringing her vase up to the desk. "Thank You so much Professor! And have a good rest of the day." Lily smiled at the professor before heading towards the door. It had been a good lesson, and now she had a break before the next class, so she headed off, back to the common room.

Vlimia smiled at the proffesor. She moved to the desk with her lovely vase that contained her flower arrangement. "Thanks for the wonderful lesson, Proffesor!" She said cheerily, gathering her books and walking out of the classroom.

Stood to the side, Isabelle folded her arms and waited for the class to clear. She gave a warm smile to whoever addressed her on their way out - and a "Thank you, goodbye!" as well.

But Alyssa wanted to tell her something. "Ohh, that would be nice thank you. I'll test them later and put the flowers in myself. Don't want you to miss your next class."

Giving everyone a wave, Issy walked over to the door ans hut it behind the last person to leave, locking it tight.
