Transfiguration Lesson II

The door to the classroom is wide open, ready for you to enter. All the desks are in their usual positions, in fact the only unusual thing is that Professor Magnus' desk is not covered in paperwork and folders.

No, today it has several buckets lined up, each containing freshly cut and neatly tied flowers that Professor Bentley had been so kind as to let the Transfiguration professor take from the greenhouses that morning. They are in four colours - Hogwarts house colours - of red, blue, green and yellow. Some have thorns, hence the request for gloves, but all are ready to be used later in the lesson.

If you are seated near the front, you would also probably see as you walk past, a cardboard box just positioned on the floor in front of the blackboard. Filled with tiny metal things.

Professor Magnus is in her usual place - perched on the edge of her desk ready to greet you, a smile on her face.

OOC: The lesson itself won't be starting until later tonight GMT, so please keep any chatting to a minimum. And it will be open for a few days so you guys don't need to worry about it going too fast, or not having time to participate much. I promise to spread my posts out enough to give you all time. ^___^

Ira, swinging her bag and humming softly to herself, made her way towards the Transfiguration class. She remembered how fun the last class had been, all about the photo frames, and so, she was eager to see what they were going to be doing today.

She entered the classroom, and was pleasantly refreshed and surprised to see all the flowery atmosphere. Ira especially liked the red and blue ones. And there was the professor. Ira smiled and greeted, "Hello Professor Magnus! Those flowers are beautiful" Ira said, pointing over to the front table.

Then she went and sat down in one of the middle rows. See, the perks of being one of the first students to enter was to be able to choose a desired seat.

"Good day Professor," Beezus greeted the Transfiguration Professor as she entered the classroom. The first thing she saw were the flowers and it made her smile widely. "Those are so pretty Professor," the eaglette complimented. 'And in four different colors too. Much like the Hogwarts houses, but the blue ones are still the prettiest,' she grinned at her thoughts.

She then walked towards a desk on the front. She took off her backpack first, placed it beside her and finally settled down. She opened her bag and made sure she had her dragonhide gloves with her when she saw a cardboard box on the floor in front of the blackboard. It seemed to be filled with some things. Things she couldn't identify for she was already seated. Hmmmm..what were they going to do today? More importantly, what will be the role of the gloves? Were they going to plants flowers since there were many of that on the buckets?

Silvia arrived at the Transfiguration classroom. "Hello, Professor," she said before taking a seat in the second row as usual. Looking around the room Silvia immediately noticed the flowers on the professor's desk. So that's why we need our gloves today, she thought. Silvia didn't particularly care much for flowers, but she thought the blue ones were really pretty. She wondered what sort of thing they would be learning today.

Alyssa walked into the Transfiguration Classroom, glad that another class had started. She noticed the buckets of flowers lined up which made the classroom really pretty. As she walked up to the Professor, she noticed a cupboard box on the floor in front of the blackboard containing some kind of metallic thingys. She was really interested to know what they were going to learn in class today. But for now, she'd have to wait. She greeted the Professor, who was perched on her desk. "Hello Professor Magnuson. It is good to be back in another of your Transfiguration classes and from the looks of what I'm seeing so far, I know that this will be another interesting lesson."Alyssa smiled her greeting before looking for a seat nearer to the front of the classroom.

Kennedy made his way to the Transfiguration classroom. His hair was a bit messy, but not bad messy...just cool messy. He was still having difficulty sleeping because of his overly energetic kitten, that he sometimes just got out of bed, showered, dressed and left in a hurry.

He sighed, relieved that class hadn't started yet and entered. As he made his way to the front desks he noticed the flowers. Green, red, blue and yellow. Were they going to transfigure flowers into...something? Obviously, this WAS a Transfiguration lesson after all.

Kennedy placed his bag on the table and turned toward the front of the classroom. "Good day, Professor Magnus," he greeted with a smile.

Sophie noticed the pretty flowers as soon as she skipped into the classroom. "Wow, they are pretty!" She liked the blue and yellow ones especially. Sunflowers were one of her favorite flowers! She looked from the flowers to the witch. "Good day, Professor Magnus!"

Glancing around, she spotted Ira! She hadn't seen her since their first flying lesson! Smiling, she took a seat next to the Gryffindor. "Hey, Ira! Loooong, looong time, no see!"

Bazinga 02-13-2012 05:47 PM

Minerva walked into what she thought was transfigurations, but buckets were out in an open space. She smiled at the professor with curiosity. "Hello Professor, how are you today? i am excited to see what we are doing." She found a spot and waited for instructions.

ShadowButterfly 02-13-2012 06:00 PM

She walked in and sat in the back,"Hello Professor." She said nonchalantly and waited for instructions.

Ira was just taking out her parchments and quills when she saw a girl come and sit near her. Turning to her side, Ira glanced sideways and lo! there was Sophie! The cute little Puff..

"Hey Sophie! Hiii!!" Ira softly squealed so as to not get professor's attention. "Yeah, its been looong for sure!" She replied.

"What do you suppose could we be learning today? With the flowers and all? Whatever it is, I think it will be awesome, won't it?"

Sophie was still smiling at the older girl while putting her bag on the floor. "I have no idea, but it sure will be great!" She loved flowers!

Evelyn made her way towards the transfiguration classroom in a hurry, as she was running late as usual.

The sixteen year old gave a sigh of relief when she entered the room, glad to know that class hadn't started yet. She smiled at professor Magnus. "Good Morning. Hope you're doing well today, professor.

She noticed the buckets that were lined up containing flowers of different colors. Wow. they looked really pretty. She found a seat near the middle of classroom and sat down. Looked like it was going to be an interesting lesson.

"Yup, it sure will be.." Ira replied. "And which ones do you like out of them?" she asked Sophie, "I love the red and the blue ones. They look beautiful!"

The red ones look a little better than the others, but then it maybe just because it is my house color.. Ira thought to herself.

Jessiqua 02-13-2012 06:48 PM

Zhenya walked into Transfiguration and saw green flowers, amongst other flowers. They looked good!

"Good day Professor! How are you?" Zhenya greeted.

LilFox06 02-13-2012 06:50 PM

Ooooh! Flowers! Anya grinned as she took in the sight. She liked those nice red roses. "Hello Professor." she greeted happily as she passed.

Now. Where to sit?

She decided on a seat near the middle of the classroom. She then watched the Professor eagerly. Any class involving flowers was brilliant in her mind.

"The blue and yellow ones are the prettiest, I think!" In a way because sunflowers were one of her favorite flowers and, of course, it was her house's color. Heh! And the blue ones were just SO beautiful!

Sophie stared at the flowers again, because she thought they were indeed extremely beautiful, but she also didn't want Professor Magnus to call their attention for talking too much, even though class had not begun yet.

Vickers entered the Transfiguration classroom, nodding his head at the Professor in polite greeting “Greetings Professor Magnus”. He made his way towards the front row corner seat, and passed the flowers which brought a small smile to his face—except for one. The blue one got him staring at it a bit dumbfounded. They were orchids, that much he knew… but BLUE orchids? Slowly he lowered himself in his seat, sparing a moment's gaze at the box with the metal items within, before shifting his eyes back at the blue flower. Was it real? A rare breed? Or a deftly performed coloring charm?

Lissy Longbottom 02-13-2012 06:56 PM

Alex walked into the transfiguration classroom and took his usual seat near the end of the first row. As he sat down, he peered into the buckets at the front of the room and saw...flowers? Hmm. He wondered what they could possibly be up to today.

"Hello professor," he said happily as he took his seat. Maybe the Herbology professor would be visiting them today too. That'd be kind of fun. Sigh. He looked out at the window at the cold outdoors and really wished he could still be curled up under his covers right about now!

TakemetotheBurrow 02-13-2012 09:31 PM

Ella skipped into Transfiguration with a smile, excited about the new lesson. "Hello Professor Magnus!" she said, "How are you doing? Those flowers are lovely." She waited for the Professors reply and headed to find a seat in the front. She looked down at the box filled with-well what were those things exactly? Ella was curious.

Somnium 02-13-2012 09:38 PM

Taylor walked into the classroom with a big smile. She was having a really good day after a month or two of terrible days. Tay nodded at the Professor, "Good day Professor Magnus?" Taylor saw the flowers on the desk..... the colors of the houses. Tay wondered what they are going to do with the flowers. "Lovely flowers by the way." She gave the professor one last smile. Taylor then went to the second row and sat down, getting out a quill and some parchment to take notes with when the lesson begins.

Slowfie 02-13-2012 09:42 PM

Aaron made his way into the class and waved at the professor. He was pretty sure she was the professor who took points from Amy for the swimming cap incident last year..
'Hi tharrrr, professor!' He smiled and made his way through the class until he spotted someone familiar.
Alyssa. He hopped into the chair next to her and grinned at her. 'Elloooo, Lyssard.' He didn't care if she didn't like the nickname, lizards were preeeetty awesome.

WhittyBitty 02-13-2012 09:45 PM

As Amelia stepped into the classroom, she could immediately smell all of the flowers on the Professor's desk. They smelled so nice!! Amelia really wanted to take some right now and keep them, but she knew that for now she just needed to take a seat and wait for the lesson to start.

"Hello, Professor! How are you?" she asked with a smile on her face as she sat at a desk near the front of the room.

Crossing her arms over her chest Issy smiled as the kids started coming in. First being a Gryffindor, and she duly noticed the flowers. "Good morning, and thank you, yes. Professor Bentley is certainly wonderful with flowers."

"Mister Greingoth, good to see you," up and about. Her lesson was earlier than her last one, so she couldn't blame any of them if they felt a little tired.

"We'll just wait for any more stragglers, then I'll get started with the lesson!" Isabelle called out over the hubbub of the kids chatting.

Gideon headed to transfiguration ready for the next class of the term. His bag was freshly prepared with his usual supplies of wand, parchment, quills and textbook with the addition of the requested gloves. Entering the classroom, he looked around though nothing was out of the ordinary so it gave little clue as to the lesson.

"Good day Professor Magnus," he greeted as he neared the professor's desk. He spotted the buckets of flowers and wondered curiously what the outcome of the lesson would be. The Gryffindor then headed to one of the front desks and settled into the seat ready for class to begin, a cardboard box catching his eye causing a raised eyebrow before he shook it off with a shake of his head.

Uncle Moose 02-13-2012 10:04 PM

Oakey came into the class room fully prepared for class, gloves included in his bag. Good Day Professor Oakey said with a smile taking one of seats a row back from the front. He saw the flowers assorted in their house colors and tried to think what they would learn today.
