Violet quickly walked to the professor's desk so that she can get a good view of the photo. She was very petite for her size and didn't want to be blocked by the many older years who were already by the desk.

Kennedy nodded, trying to ignore what his face was doing. It was turning red! He wasn't used to compliments, yet.

He stood up and took his picture with him and hid it inside his robes. The picture his mom had sent him wasn't one that he would have picked, but his mom being a MOM, picked out the "cutest" one she found. He completely disagreed with that.

After pushing in his chair, so no one would trip with it, he made his way to Professor Magnus' desk.

It was Latin alright. Most spells and incantations were derived from Latin to be exact. But not all, as Professor Magnus said. She made it a point to always remember that because well..the Professor told them to do so.

She looked at the board when Professor Magnus wrote the relevant words that related to the incantation and copied it on her own parchment.

And given the explanation of the Professor that she needed the piece of paper and the photo laid flat, Beezus followed the instruction that they need to gather around her desk. She stood up, arranged her things a bit and walked to the Professor's desk.

Now for the demo.

Jezzabelle moved to gather around the professor. She was curious really to see what would happen to the photo she had chosen.

It had taken him some time to get the hang of the spell that the Professor had taught the class. Having thought that he had cast it perfectly he left the picture frame on his desk.

As he got up and left to see what the Professor was about to demonstrate his picture frame began to inch it's way off his desk like an inchworm, and onto the floor.

After the professor finished talking, Glenn hastily performed the spell again, this time; it was successful. Her pretty wooden frame lay on her desk next to her photo.

She walked up to the desk and stood on her toes, trying to see over the older students heads. With no luck she settled for a gap in the crowd and strained her eyes to see what the professor was going to demonstrate with the picture and frame.

Ira hadn't known that Statua also meant image. Well, that explained the spell words. She dutifully copied down the notes on a parchment. Then, eager to see what happened next, she stood along-with the rest of the class and proceeded to the front.

She walked to the front desk where professor was and stood directly opposite to him, albeit on tip-toes. But she could comfortably see the center of the table. She fished out her own photograph and waited for the lesson to proceed.

Eino copied the notes on the board unto his parchment, then waited as Professor Magnus continued to speak. When she asked for someone's assistance, or at least, for their photo, Eino moved closer to her desk, giving younger and shorter students the chance to stand in front of him first, otherwise they wouldn't be able to see. Once all of the heads he could see the backs of were lined up eagerly waiting for the transfiguration show, Eino joined them with utmost attention. His photo was very important to him because of the memories it brought back, so he really did not want to mess it up with this spell.

RoseMalfoy 01-11-2012 06:18 AM

Desiree quickly copied down the short notes onto her paper, before getting up to gather around the professor's desk, her own photo in hand. She got a fairly decent spot.. she could see the Professor, but just barely. Sometimes being small had its disadvantages.

Looking over some Ravenclaw's shoulder, she waited for Professor Magnus to demonstrate whatever it was they were going to be doing with the photos, changing their size maybe?

Poolicious 01-11-2012 06:32 AM

And Eino too xD

SPOILER!!: Professor Magnus

Wiping her hands to get rid of the chalk dust, Isabelle walked back over to her desk and cleared a space in the middle of it. Placing a piece of paper in that space she looked up at the kids and smiled. "Now, we'll be working with the photo's you brought along with you. It is the same spell, and wand movement. But I'm going to show you how it can work differently depending on your intent. However for this to work properly the paper and picture need to be laying flat, so I can't demonstrate the way I did the first time."

Messer quickly copied the notes in the blackboard onto his notebook. When he finished, he stood up and walked toward the Professor desk but unfortunately for him most of the students already standing in front of him leaving him behind. How he supposed to see what's going on there if they were blocking his view. Then he saw the Ravenclaw prefect giving him the younger and shorter student to stand in front of him. "Thanks." he muttered.

After quickly writing down the meanings of the spell, Nora put her quill down and moved next to the others towards the professor's desk to get a good look of her demonstration, but that... was a difficult thing to do, given the fact that she was so short she could pass for a first year. But she got the idea of what they had to do, and she could also peek through the tall people. She hated being short. Hmph.

sweetpinkpixie 01-11-2012 08:29 AM

Seeing as several pictures had already been offered up, Kurumi left hers on her desk and made sure that her frame was far enough from the edge so that it wouldn't fall off in her absence. Tugging on her sweater, Kurumi walked over to where the crowd of students was gathering and stood on her tip toes near the back while she waited for the demonstration to happen.

Orla 01-11-2012 08:52 AM

Since many, many students had offered Proffeser Magnus their Photo's she thought it'd be best to leave her's, so she wiggled in and watched for Proffeser Magnus'es next move!

Lislchen 01-11-2012 10:47 AM

I don't know what you're talking about, Professor MAGNUS!!! *whistles* (I fail.xD)

Oh. Right. Lewis went to write that down right away, to make sure he'd remember it next time. Not that he thought that there was a next time he would need to know where the name of the spell derived from but you know. His OWLs maybe or something. Either way, he just felt the need to write it down.

Okay, now they were going to be working with those photos they'd had to bring. Lewis got up from his seat when she told them to gather around her desk. CLATTER! He looked down in surprise upon hearing that noise and found himself staring at the frame which had still been in his lap. Oh, right that. Hoping nobody had noticed anything he quickly knelt down next to it - and under the desk - and pointed his wand at it. "Reverto!" He muttered as quietly as he could without making the spell not work.

Glad to see the frame had changed back to a piece of paper, Lewis picked it up and put it back onto his desk. Now...he was quite late to walk up to the front. Almost everybody else had already gathered around the professor's desk. Slowly, Lewis made his way to the front as well and tried to get a good look at the desk. Which was almost impossible with all those other people in front of him. His eyes flickered to one of the vacated chairs for a moment. But no, then he would stand out too much. He didn't like that.

So, tip-toes it was going to be. Sigh.

As soon as the Professor asked for a picture, Gwen glimpsed back at hears. It was the picture she took in the summer holiday, when she visited her bestie, Ari. A smirk appeared on her face as soon as she remembered what a good time they had. Oh, well- I’d better create a nice picture frame for this one… it definitely deserves the best. *smirk*

Noticing that everyone kept volunteering, Gwendolyn didn’t even mind trying. She wasn’t the first one, so there was no point in this, anyway. The third year stood up and joined the group already formed round the Professor.

DarkStorm 01-11-2012 01:41 PM

Harvey took his photo with him.. he didnt want to leave it behind as he followed the others to the demonstration that was about to happen. He wanted to watch what the professor was about to do.. this was exciting he couldnt wait to see the demonstration.

Anna Banana 01-11-2012 03:14 PM

Well, one thing was for sure--Sierra wasn't going to volunteer for her picture to be used. It was very personal to her, and although it just showed a group of people, she still didn't want it displayed for the entire class to see. So with her picture clutched in her hand, she made her way to the desk where the professor would do a demonstration. She pushed her way into an empty space that she'd at least be able to properly see from. The she stood there, still holding her picture, while she waited for something to happen.

MeredithRodneyMckay 01-11-2012 03:30 PM

As I don't have a photo to edit in PS, let's pretend it's actually IN the frame. ;)

Ohh, it was gathering time! Ellie hopped out of her seat with her picture in hand and hurried to the professor's desk. Being short, she wanted to get a good spot so she could see everything she did. Because Ellie hadn't done so well.

"You can use my photo, Professor," Ellie volunteered, holding the still picture of her mum and dad in front of her.

"Thank you very much, Miss Johanson!"

Isabelle gently took the picture from the Ravenclaw and placed it on top of the paper on her desk. Looking around at the assembled kids, she craned her neck to make sure they all had a good enough view. "Everyone can see, yes? Good. Right. The aim of this is to perform the spell and encase your photo within the frame itself, rather than just make the frame and put the photo in it. This does require the target object to be flat, though."

Smoothing out the paper and picture, Isabelle took her wand out and aimed towards it. "It won't in any way damage the photo, and you can simply revert the frame back to it's previous state to remove it. But it does require ALOT more concentration and focus from you, and your wand needs to be in contact with the paper when doing the square movement."

Another quick look to make sure they were all paying attention, and Isabelle was ready to demonstrate. Touching the paper gently with the tip of her wand, she drew a square around all four edges, while saying the incantation, "Statua Habitum." Almost immediately the paper began to expand upwards and change colour to a goldish hue, similar to the one Issy had produced in her first demonstration. As the edges became about an inch think they started to spread inwards, and glass completely covered the photo. After what was really only a few seconds, but seemed longer, the frame was complete with the picture in the middle.

Picking it up off the desk, Isabelle held it up for them all to see. "There we go. Now, the picture is not a part of the frame, merely the frame grew up around it. Does anyone have any questions before I send you off to practice?"

Orla 01-11-2012 03:42 PM

She looked at the picture pretty much perfect well she would be expecting that from a teacher... Looked easy enough! ''No further questions proffeser,'' she muttered more to herself then Proffeser Magnus...

TakemetotheBurrow 01-11-2012 03:49 PM

Ella's eyes grew wide. She was amazed at how the frame grew around the picture perfectly. That was really neat. She looked up at the professor in awe, "Nope, no questions, professor." She smiled.

sweetpinkpixie 01-11-2012 03:49 PM

Kurumi stood on her tip toes, trying to see what was going on but was having a hard time since she was rather far to the back. She did see Professor Magnus trace a square around the picture and perform the spell, but she couldn't really see the reaction due to someone's head being perfectly in the way.

She rested her heels back on the ground and listened as Professor Magnus gave a little more explanation, nodding now and again in understanding. Questions? Nope.

Weasley174 01-11-2012 03:54 PM

"Professor what happens if we accidently do the spell wrong?" Laura had been sat quiet until now, but seriously if the spell went wrong she didn't want to lose her photo, why couldn't the Professor have given out photo's they probably woudn't be important right, Professor only spend time shouting and taking points they didn't have a life outside of the school, so there photo's wouldn't be important.

MudInMyBlood 01-11-2012 04:09 PM

Wow that was pretty cool thought Hannah. She was excited and a bit nervous to try the spell out herself. "No questions here." she said. She was hoping to do well on her own.

Magical Soul 01-11-2012 04:10 PM

Louisa had walked to the front where Ellie donated gave her picture to the professor. With a closer peek at the photo on the table, Louisa saw a man and a woman. The man had Ellie's eyes and the mother had the same hair color. With a sad smile, the Ravenclaw looked up at her friend. They must be her parents. It was... good to meet the father at last. Kind of meeting him.

Watching intently as professor Magnus turned the paper into a hugging beautiful frame. When she addressed the students again, Louisa's mouth was formed into a big smile. This was the best transfiguration spell EVER! SO COOL!

Questions? Nope, please let us doooo eeeeeet.

Hey Ju 01-11-2012 04:38 PM

"No questions, ma'am!" Sophie said still staring at Professor Magnus nice work. That was pretty cool!
