Chris didn't want to use his photo, so he grabbed a piece of paper and tapped it with his wand saying, "Statua Habitum." He was ever so surprised when a frame appeared around his piece of paper!

Class is over, you may finish up now.

Isabelle stood from her perched position and clapped her hands again. Raising her voice slightly, she called out to the kids - "Alright everyone, our time is very nearly up. Please finish with what you are doing. You're more than welcome to keep the frames you've made if you wish, if not, please leave them on your desks to be collected. Thank you, and see you all again soon!"

But not a completely circular frame, a frame that had a circle inside it. After a few fruitless tries (the worst being this) she got a perfect one. Going up to the proffesor with her new and improved picture frame, Vlim said "Is this okay? I tried to make it have a different shape..." She hoped that it would be good, because it was creativity... right?

As she sat back down and waited for them to finish, Isabelle spotted the young girl leave her seat again to come up to the front. Smiling as she approached, Issy tilted her head down to get a good look at the new frame.

"It's very nice, and I like that you've tried something different."

Minerva smiled and gathered her things. "Thank you so much professor I really enjoyed the lesson. The frame is perfect for my picture. Would you like me to stay and collect the frames students leave behind for you?" Minerva loved this class and didn't want to leave to soon.

When professor Magnus finally announced the end of the class, Nora decided to keep the frame, because it was her first successful attempt and she was quite content with the result. Packing it and everything else she had on the desk, Nora stood up and made her way to the door. "Goodbye, professor," she smiled, and then walked out of the room.

Starbreeze 01-13-2012 07:50 PM

Eino paused to listen to the professor's last announcement, then panicked. He still hadn't created a frame for his photo but he had created two that he really liked. She did say they had a few more moments, so Eino could still pull it off. He put his two frames aside, happy to hear that he could keep them, and took yet another piece of paper. He placed his photo on top of the paper and began to draw the square above it. "Statua Habitum," He said slowly as he completed the square. The piece of paper began to move a little, but not nearly as violently as it had done the past two times. Then, it grew on all four sides and folded itself around the four sides of his photo. The paper darkened significantly, until it was completely black. Next, several strokes of grey appeared, which began to look more like silver within a few seconds. The surface was scaly, with some rough parts and others smooth. When the frame was complete, Eino realized that it matched the hide of the dragon in his photo, except that the silver was due to the lightning, and not really part of the dragon's scales. Still, Eino was very pleased with this product. It was exactly what he wanted.

Vlimia beamed, proud of herself. "Thank you proffesor, and goodbye." She said, and went back to her desk. Vlim put her lovely frame into her bag and her wand back in it's holster. Contentedly, she walked out of the classroom. She would have skipped, but her bag was really quite heavy.

Ella grinned. She had survived her first transfiguration lesson and had done pretty well! No way I'm leaving this, it's proof that I survived my first class! Ella smiled down at her picture frame and her family. She was really proud of herself. She hugged the frame close to her as she headed for the door. "Bye Professor! The lesson today was wicked!"

Hey Ju 01-13-2012 09:10 PM

Sophie smiled happily and put her frame in her bag. She glanced around as she closed her bag and threw it over her shoulder. "Thank you, Professor!" she waved goodbye to Professor Magnus as she walked out of the classroom.

Nate smiled, not happy the lesson was over, exactly, but happy at his success. It really was a lovely frame he had made. "Thanks Professor," he said brightly as he packed up his things. "It really was a brilliant lesson." Nate strolled up and smiled to Professor Magnus with a curt nod before semi-reluctantly leaving the classroom. "Good day!" he called back, his robes fluttering around his ankles as he picked up to his usual fast pace.

"That would be lovely, thank you Minerva. Although I don't know how many there will be." There seemed to be an awful lot of them putting the frames in their bags.

Amelia was happy that she got to keep her frame, because that meant that she got to give it to hr boyfriend now instead of having to wait to. YAY! She smiled as she packed up her things.

"Bye, Professor!" she called out as she left the room now. That had been a fun class. :33

"Urrr, right. Where did you have it last? Maybe it fell off your desk." Isabelle bent down to try and get a good look under the row of desks where the boy was sat, but all she could see where bags and feet.

Oakey bent over just as Professor Magnus did to try and find his picture frame? She didn't seem to find it and continued with the class. Oakey was not about to give up that easily, he got on all fours and began crawling around each of the students to find his missing frame. Still no luck, then from the corner of his eye he caught a picture frame inching it's way out of the class and into the hall...Oh no you don't He jerked his hands from the ground and smacked his head on the bottom of a desk! OH GEEZE! He rubbed the back of his head quickly then moved to the entrance of class pushing through students who were leaving.

I found it Professor! I must not of cast the spell as well as I thought I did. Oakey hurried back to his desk to continue the lesson when he noticed that the classroom was practically empty... Darn it! Oakey exclaimed to the heavens. Did I miss the whole lesson Professor? he said now terribly distraught.

After packing her bag, with her picture in her frame, Lily checked her desk and the area around it before heading toward the front of the room, bidding farewell to the professor and heading back to the corridor.

Minerva smiled and set her bag back down. She looked around Professor Magnus was right not many were leaving the frames, but that was ok. She walked around collecting the frames as students did leave. She looked at how pretty the frames were. "Professor does this work with just a normal sheet of paper, like muggle paper?" Minerva of course was thinking ahead at doing this spell again and she had a ton of muggle paper in her bag.

Taking a moment to look up from her own work, Kurumi smiled at the younger Puff who seemed to have finally gotten a handle on the spell. Really, there was no shame in it taking time to get a spell right or not getting it at all. Not everyone could master a spell on the first try, it would be far too much to ask that everyone be able to do so. "Brilliant," Kurumi applauded. "Just a little bit more focus and determination and you did it." Hopefully she would remember that for their next lesson so that, you know, there weren't any trees growing in the classroom or something.

Kurumi thought about perhaps reverting her frame and trying to transfigure another, and just as her wand was above it with the intention of casting Reverto, class was dismissed. Laughing softly to herself, she took this as a sign that she was meant to have the frame she had tranfigured and placed it in her bag. Perhaps she would put it on the endtable next to her bed in the dormitories.

The fifth year began to pack up her things, making sure her desk was clearner than it had been when she had first arrived and, after doing so, went up to Profeesor Magnus. "Thank you for the lesson, professor. Do you need any help collecting the left over papers?" Kurumi didn't have any plans after the lesson, so it really wasn't a bother.

Ira debated herself whether to take her frame along with her or leave it behind.. ut in the end, she decided to take it along. It looked much too beautiful to be left here!

She got up, collected her all things and taking her bag and the photo frame in her hands, she bade the professor goodbye, "Thank you Professor for such a wonderful lesson! And also Good Bye!" Saying so, she left the class.

Jezzabelle packed things up and tucked the picture frame into her bag. She smiled at the Professor, "Thank you for such a great class. Until next time." And she left.

As Minerva started picking up the frames and talking with the Professor, Alyssa quietly lay down her bag on the table, and picking up a trash basket from the front of the room, started picking up any scrap paper that had been left behind on the tables and especially on the floors. She bent down to pick up some parchment paper that still looked good as new, so turned to the Professor and asked her,"Professor, these parchment papers still look pretty new. Would you like for me to keep them aside for you, so that you can reuse them again in your next class? If yes, where would you like me to place them?"

Oh? they were done already? But she still needed to produce something decent looking from the parchment. Beezus eyebrows furrowed as she thought of a good way to tell the Professor that she wasn't done yet. "Professor Magnus, maa'm..I'm afraid I haven't.." She bit her lip as she continued, "Well..I haven't really finished mine. Not the first one but the second task you made me do.." She looked at the Professor. Gaaaaah, this was disappointing. If she'd be given permission, she'd like to try it once more at the Transfiguration Practice Room.

Zhenya had just finished the next frame she had been working on. It looked very similar to the first one, but she was able to use a different photo - this one was just of her grandparents. She packed all of her things away and went up to the Professor, "Here's my Frame, what do you think?" she asked, smiling. She really liked the lesson and was disappointed it was finished.

Kurumi had probably been zoning out when the two Hufflepuffs had asked. Either that, or she was busy watching the other Hufflepuff and trying not to get her eye poked out by the tree. Kurumi was about to dismiss herself, when Professor Magnus offered her a different little odd job. Oh GOOD! One step in making up for how Kurumi was feeling about last term and what she had done during the Clowning Around lesson.

"Not at all, professor," she said with a smile, removing her wand from her pocket and twirling it in her fingers. Kurumi could always use the extra practice anyway. More focusing her mind and honing her transfiguration skills. All in all, it was a win win situation.

Kurumi picked up the box and set it on a nearby desk. Picking up each frame one by one, Kurumi pointed her wand at them, cast Reverto, and set the paper down on the table, making a nice even stack. When the box was empty and all frames turned into paper, Kurumi picked up the papers and set them in the box to cut down on any clutter.

"Professor Magnus, once all the papers are in here, should I take it to the Transfiguration practice room or to your office?"

Minerva smiled as she walked over to Kurumi "Here are some more frames to become paper again. There are just a few more that need collected I think."

Thea picked up her frame, and popped it in her bag. As she had not yet had a chance to put her photo in it, Thea also slipped her photo in beside it. Brushing her hand along her forehead, Thea sighed.

As she passed the professor at the front of the class, Thea flashed her a smile. 'Thankyou for the lesson, professor. It was brilliant.' The Gryffindor patted her bag and exited the classroom.

Alyssa quickly gathered all the unused parchment paper that had been left behind. She then brought them up to the box where Kurumi had laid the other paper which she had reverted back to from the frames left behind, and placed added them to the pile. Alyssa went back to clearing all the desks of the used and crinkled paper and dropped those into the trash basket she was carrying. She made sure to check the floor under the desks, where some of the scraps or torn bits of paper may have dropped. Picking those up, she threw them into the basket.

Kurumi was about to dismiss herself, when Professor Magnus offered her a different little odd job. Oh GOOD! One step in making up for how Kurumi was feeling about last term and what she had done during the Clowning Around lesson.

Occasionally looking up from her own tidying - honestly how did her desk get so bad? She'd only moved a few things for the demonstration - Isabelle grinned as her helpers went about their business.

And it seemed like they were nearly finished. "Umm, practice room please. I think it would be best to have a supply in there for you all to use." Even though they could get paper everywhere most likely. "Thank you, Kurumi....And you Alyssa, Minerva. We've got this place tidy in no time. 5 points each for helping me." Without being asked to.

Minerva picked up her bag. "Oh thank you Professor. I will be seeing you in the practice room soon. Have a great day Professor." Wow five extra points Minerva wasn't expecting that she just loved transfiguration and professor Magnus and wanted to help. She headed out of the classroom after taking one last look to make sure she didn't forget to pick up a frame or anything.

Accepting the remaining frames from the Hufflepuff girls, Kurumi cast Reverto on them and then added those papers to the box and lifted it slightly to see if it was heavy or not. Nope, completely manageable on her own. Lifting it up, she gave the professor a small nod before her eyes widened. Points...really were not necessary. She was only trying to make up for her, erm, cheating from last term in any small form that she could.

Bowing her head again, Kurumi clutched the box against her chest and watched as the younger Puff left the room for the...practice room? She really didn't need to go there, did she? Maybe she just wanted to keep Kurumi company while she set the box down on a shelf. Kurumi wouldn't mind that.

"Thank you, again, for the lesson Professor Magnus. I'll just set this on a shelf in the practice room then."

Nodding her head again, Kurumi made her way out of the classroom with the box.

Alyssa wasn't expecting to be awarded house points for assisting the Professor, but she would gladly take it. Smiling at the Professor, Alyssa bowed her head in thanks and said,"Thank you Professor for another entertaining class and I look forward to attending your next one." before heading out the door after Minerva.

Nodding her head as each of them said goodbye, Isabelle followed them to the door and shut it behind them, sending them off with another "Thank you!"

Now, to get the homework posted.
