Third Floor Corridor
 

On this floor you'll see ways to charm or heal your knee.

Logan walked down the third floor corridor. Hmm...he hadn't been down here before. It was real nice! Well of course it was. All of Hogwarts was nice. He loved it. It was truly amazing!

Sammy was walking back to the common room after a class. He pulled at the tie from his uniform so it was a little loose. He really hated wearing this thing. He never had to wear uniforms at his muggle school. As he walked, he spotted a familiar face down the corridor. "Logan!" Sammy called after him and picked up his pace to catch up. "Hey man. How's it going?"

Sorry it took so long *blushes*
 

Logan heard his name and turned his head to see Sammy. "Hey, Sammy!" he said smiling. "It's going good. And you?" he asked.

Laura had decided that she would go for a walk and see if she could find anything that would make the next seven years of her laugh worth it, she had been told that you were at Hogwarts for Seven Years by one of the Hufflepuff Prefects, but she couldn't remember which, so well Laura know she would need somewhere to escape too if things where getting bad but where, she didn't know and so that was what she was doing up here on the third floor.

Sammy shrugged his shoulders as he adjusted his school bag. "All right. Classes kinda seem to drag though." That was the hardcore truth. He wished they could just live in the castle and not go to class. That would be awesome. "Find any friends in your house yet?"

"Yeah, same with me." he said chuckling. "Ohh, only like a couple. I have more friends out of my house than in!" he said laughing. Siriusly, there were like NO boy Gryffindor firsties!...what da heck?
"What about you?" he asked.

Sammy chuckled along with Logan. He understood exactly what he meant about the friends thing. "Me too. I've met a few people that I can talk with and go to class with and such, but not really close friends." Except for maybe Hades. Hades was kinda cool.

Laura walked into the third floor corridor she decided to find something to do before facing Aaron, she was annoyed with him, he had left her alone and now well he wanted to talk to her well Laura didn't want to talk to him, why should she, he had told her he would show her around but he never did.

Aaron made his way down the corridor, he hadn't seen Laura since she'd left for Hogwarts. If everything had been as usual, he could've gone along with her and he wouldn't have to face a now-quite-possibly-angry Laura.
But he didn't mind, he could deal with that, he and Laura had been friends long enough to survive this.
When he finally spotted Laura he quickened his pace and half ran over before hugging his neighbour and now fellow housemate.
'Lauraaaaaa!' He hugged her happily, prepared for a punch to the face. 'I missed you girl-person.'

Laura looked at Aaron and shouted. ""GO AWAY." Laura was really angry with Aaron, he had left her to cope at Hogwarts on her own, without an explaination or anything, she had turned up at the train station waiting for him and he had never turn up, oh she wasn't going to hit him or anything.

Laura as shocked when Aaron hugged her, she pushed him away from her. "YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO HUG ME YOU, YOU, YOU" Laura snapped as she tried to think of something to say. "YOU CRAZY OLD KID." Laura couldn't think of anything to say, so she just said the first thing that came into her head.

Alyssa happened to be walking down the corridor heading down to their common room when she saw Aaron and Laura talking. 'Good they needed to spend some time together,' Alyssa thought to herself. She saw how happy Aaron was to see Laura and had reached out to hug her but Laura's reaction surprised her. She had backed away from Aaron and started yelling at him.

Alyssa quickly ran up to the both of them. "Laura what's going on? Why are you yelling at Aaron? Aren't you glad to see that he's back?" Alyssa asked the younger girl.

'Lauraaaa...' Aaron pouted and held his hands out to Laura, he really was sorry for just bailing out on her without a word or even an owl.
But he couldn't send Oliver out, that owl was like.. his buddy, not his postman.
He'd have some explaining to do. 'I can, sort of, explain it all. Promise.'

Aaron was genuinely offended when Laura pushed him away. She never did that, not to him at least.
He hadn't thought of how it would've been for Laura, not having Aaron at Hogwarts. He'd been too busy thinking of how his new life would be, without his parents together.
'I am sorrrryyyyy. Oh, Shay said hi, by the way.' Not that Laura would care what his brothers had to say to her, but still.. 'I was too caught up.. I- I'm moving away from Silverton.'

Laura looked at Alyssa. "No I am not." She didn't really want to see Aaron now, she had moved to Bedford so that she didn't have to see him again, but well she was glad to see Alyssa. "I'm glad to see you though." Laura smiled at Alyssa but then Aaron spoke again.

Laura looked at Aaron. "YOU CAN SORT OF EXPLAIN?" Laura gave Aaron one of them I don't care look and just stared at him, if looks could kill then Aaron would have fallen there and then. "I don't care what Shay said and I don't believe you." Laura snapped serioulsy there was such a thing as a phone call or just a little letter saying he wasn't coming back but nope he gave her nothing. "Well we've moved to Bedford, not that you would care anyway." Laura turned to walk away before she slapped Aaron because she was getting close to it.

Sophie was skipping around Hogwarts, doing what she had been doing the most: exploring the castle. Suddenly, she heard a very familiar voice yelling on the third floor. "Oh, not again...!" she thought, turning around and running in the direction of Laura's voice. Was she about to get in trouble and hurt herself again??

When she got to the third floor, she looked around and saw Laura, Alyssa and an older boy she didn't know. Sophie ran towards them and stopped by Alyssa to catch her breath. "What's going on??" she asked looking straight to Laura.

Keefer was strolling down the hallways when he turned a corner and saw several Hufflepuffs. There was some kind of commotion, but he wasn't sure why. All he knew was that several of his potential Quidditch players were there, and he didn't want any of them getting in trouble. He rushed over.

"Guys, what's all this yelling about?" Or screaming, really, on the part of Laura. "Whatever's going on, I'm sure we can settle it without raised voices. In fact, that's the best way to avoid fights." Because Laura looked TICKED. "I don't know what happened, but I think everyone would be better off just walking away for awhile and coming back to this discussion later. That will give everyone time to cool off and think about it rationally."

In other words, stop causing a problem or you'll get in trouble and lose Hufflepuff points. And don't invoke a woman's wrath, which would probably be worse.

Alyssa definitely didn't want to serve detention again. "Keefer is right. Laura, maybe we should just go back to the Common Room." 'At least if there's any yelling to do, let it be in the safety of our own Common Room' Alyssa thought to herself. "I'm headed that way. If anyone wants to follow me, you can do so." She looked at Aaron indicating that he should do the same.

Oh, so Alyssa was getting the nice treatment? Aaron rolled his eyes, Laura didn't need to be so dramatic right now. He was just late for school this year, Laura seemed to have been doing just fine, she knew people, didn't she?

Just then Laura started talkingscreaming again, giving him a slightly terrifying glare. He gasped when Laura announced that they had moved away from Silverton.
'But yooou didn't tell me anything either!' Aaron replied coolly, 'so I COULD scream at you too!' He glared back at the first year. 'Well... BYE THEN!' He shouted after her as she left.
So after being neighbours and friends all their lives they were now fighting over... this? He rolled his eyes, she'd cool down soon enough.



'No thanks.' Aaron turned to head outside. 'Laura can go do some more screaming there if she wants. I'm out for a walk.' He nodded and left the others behind in the corridor.

Laura ignored everyone else that had just turned up well except Sophie, she smiled at Sophie. "I'll explain it all later." Laura was angry with Aaron and she wished Sophie hadn't come because well it was going to get messy by the looks of things.

Laura shouted after Aaron as he walked away. "FINE, RUN AWAY SEE IF I CARE." Laura snapped, saying that it was probably a good thing that Aaron was leaving. "Oh though just before you go, I only moved away because you were nowhere around and all the good times we had would remind me too much of you." Laura snapped as she shouted after Aaron tears in her eyes, seriously that guy didn't care about her did he.

Laura then spotted the Quidditch Captain and well maybe he shouldn't have come then. "Have you come to tell me I'm being a crazy idiot." Laura snapped at him through the tears in her eyes. "Or are you here to make fun of me?"

Keefer watched as Aaron walked away, then was slightly taken aback as Laura addressed him personally. Watch it Keef, or you'll get yelled at too! Angry girl = run away. Easiest math equation ever.

"I haven't come to tell you anything. I was just walking down the hall, heard shouting, and wondered what was going on. Captains are kinda like Prefects in that we're supposed to stop trouble if we can." He nodded twice. "I just didn't want anyone to get hurt or wands to come out." The last thing he needed was a puddle of first year all over the ground on his watch.

And as for the crazy... "I don't think you're a crazy idiot. I think you're upset and unsure of yourself in a new environment. That's nothing to make fun of! Fights like this happen every year, you're not alone." He smiled at her encouragingly. He wanted her to feel better.

"So if there's anything I can do to help you settle in, just let me know. As for you and Aaron, I go back to my original suggestion. Take a few days to cool off, then talk about this calmly. It'd be best if a peer or Professor could act as a mediator. Someone that is impartial, maybe a Prefect, like Arya." As in, not your Quidditch Captain. "But screaming matches in the corridors aren't acceptable."

Was her Quidditch Captain lecturing her, if he was it was a big mistake. "I WOULDN'T CARE IF YOU WERE A KING, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO LECTURE ME!" Seriously this boy was asking for it, telling her why she was acting like this seriously he was calling her a crazy idiot. "I am not a CRAZY IDIOT." Laura snapped.

Laura looked at him and sighed. "It's just he left without saying goodbye and now he comes back here and expects me to forgive him straight away." Laura didn't know what to do, in the end she looked at everyone before leaving, she went the opposite direction to what Aaron went in, she didn't care were she ended up.

Keefer wordlessly watched her go. He may not have much knowledge when it came to the ladies, but he knew enough that it was pointless to retaliate. I wasn't lecturing her. And I explicitly stated that I don't think she's a crazy idiot. In fact, he thought he had been rather nice, even trying to be a bit consoling.

He sighed. Girls, he thought, shaking his head in a bewildered manner.

Aaron had planned to leave, but then he heard some crazy girl scream like no tomorrow. Aaron chuckled and turned around, 'CALM DOWN ALREADY OOMPALOOMPA!' He rolled his eyes and scratched his head as he listened to her tellshout why they'd moved away.
'WEL IF YOU HAD BOTHERED TO STOP BY WHILE I WAS DYING FROM BOREDOM WHEN I WAS GROUNDED YOU WOULD'VE KNOWN!' He coughed, why was he screaming?
It was sorta fun. But he was thirsty.
'DOES ANYONE OF YOU HAVE A DRINK?!' He shouted over to the group while searching through his pockets. Not even a juicebox?!

He then witnessed Laura yelling at Keefer before running off. 'HEY YOU LAURABOO! DON'T YOU RUN AWAY NOW! I BROUGHT COOKIES!'
Cookies were a solution to some weird fight over not hanging out, right?

Ella was wandering around the castle as she hadn't had too much time to explore. She was skipping along when she heard shouting down the hall a bit. She picked up the pace to see what was going on. Out of breath from walking so quickly, she stopped short in front of a group of students. "E-everything okay? I h-heard shouting!" Catching her breath, Ella looked around wondering what had happened.

Even though Alyssa said she was headed back to the Common Room, she stayed back when no one moved. She felt sad seeing Aaron and Laura yelling at each other like that. But she kept quiet while Keefer tried to calm everyone down. It sure didn't help that more and more onlookers were coming and she wished that they would just move on.

When Aaron started coughing and asking for something to drink, she took out a Dr. Pepper from her bag and gave it to him.

Ella looked up, sensing someones eyes on her. She noticed an older girl looking at her and got the hint that she shouldn't get involved. She smiled shyly at the girl and nodded, indicating that she got the idea. Then she turned quietly and headed back to the common room.

Laura was leaving when Aaron started shouting, seriously she hadn't expected that looking straight at Aaron she sighed. "I tried but your mother wouldn't let me see you." Laura had tried loads of times. "I even throw a stone at your window but you didn't answer." That wasn't her fault right it was his.

Laura had a drink but she wasn't sharing it with the mean guy standing in front of her, well she wasn't even going to go into her bad to get it out. "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT" Yeah Laura was blaming him for everything, the points loss her hating Professors everything.

Then Laura was giggling, she couldn't help it, when he called her Lauraboo it just made her giggle and even though she was trying to keep a serious face she couldn't do anything about the fact he had made her giggle. "Your not suppost to." Laura giggled. "I'm mad at you."

As she was strolling down the third floor corridor one day, Vashti suddenly heard a couple shouts coming not too far down the corridor. What in Merlin's name was going on? Walking quickly toward the sounds, she turned the corner and discovered that it was coming from a couple Hufflepuffs. Merlin, what was with them this term? And...wasn't that the girl she'd met a little while ago, the one that had insisted on calling her "Miss Ravenclaw Head Girl"? Yeah, she was pretty sure it was the same one.

"Is everything alright?" she asked as she approached them. Then...the girl was giggling? That was abrupt. Maybe everything was okay after all?

Sophie didn't take her eyes off Laura when the girl answered her and turned away to keep shouting at the older boy. When she seemed to be over with the yelling around, Sophie grabbed her shoulders and turned her around to look in her eyes. "Laura! Calm down!" she said with wide eyes. "You have to control yourself! Or do you want to end up in the Hospital Wing again??" Sophie knew Laura hadn't liked the nurse. When Laura started shouting again, Sophie let go off her and watched the whole scene.

Sophie didn't see Glenn arriving, but she heard the question and looked at her friend. "I don't really know. I just got here in time to see them shouting at each other. But I guess it'll all be sorted out... in a few."

When Laura was done screaming, Sophie turned her around to face her one more time. Her friend seemed to be giggling now. That was a good thing. "Lauraaaaaa!" Sophie was smirking. "You see what you do? You get all mad then you're finally able to see the funny side of everything! Isn't it better than being angry?" she was kind of worried Laura would get in trouble again. It wouldn't be nice to lose more house points, or worse, go back to the Hospital Wing! "Keep yourself together, woman!" she said jokingly, shaking her friend back and forth. Sophie knew Laura wasn't trying to be mean and just needed to laugh a little in order to calm down.

After a few seconds of just staring at the group, Alyssa gave him a Dr Pepper. Perfect.
'Why thaaaank you, Alyssa.' He said dramatically and took a few sips of his Dr Pepper.

Everyone sure seemed tense. Aaron shrugged, he was kinda enjoying the yelling across the corridor stuff. Besides, they never stayed mad at each other for more than a day or so, he and Laura would be fine, JUST like this.

'Don't you have an owl?' Aaron asked, pretty much everyone had an owl, even first years. Cept for Aaron, who used to have a toad. A very cool one, thank you very much. And no, he couldn't have sent her Oliver, that owl was too cool to be just Postman Pat.
'Well.. Dad did sort of replace the windows after I jumped..? through one. So no wonder I didn't hear you.'

He raised an eyebrow as Laura proceeded to blame everything on him. Really, everything?
'Harrrrrdly.' He rolled his eyes, 'b'sides, there's other people you could've gone to, I'm not the only person at Hogwarts.' He pointed at the gathering crowd and shrugged.
'I was busy at hooooome. Which was oooobviously all your fault.' Aaron rolled his eyes again. It wasn't all his fault. Only a bit of it, but that wasn't even really intentionally his fault. She should lighten up a bit.

Then out of nowhere, Laura started giggling like some nutter, trying to keep a straight face. He'd seen that face many times before.
He grinned as she tried to tell him that she was still mad at him. 'Course you are, LauraBOOOO.'

Uh oh. Head Girl. o____O 'Hello there. Nothing the matterrrrrr,' he whistled cheerfully. 'Just... rehearsing a play.' Or something.
He shrugged, that was hardly a convincing lie.

Laura looked at Sophie and laughed. "I am staying calm." Seriously Laura just wished Sophie would stop shaking her because well it was making her feel a bit sick. "Sophie, please..." Laura laughed. "Stop shaking me." Laura was laughing when Sophie told her to keep herself together.

Laura stopped laughing and bowed when she saw Miss Ravenclaw Head Girl. "Miss Ravenclaw Head Girl." Laura smiled, "It's a pleasure to see you today, are you well?" Laura smiled at the Head Girl in front of her. "Yeah were just having fun."

Laura then turned to Aaron and ran upto him and gave him a hug. "I'm sorry." Laura smiled at Aaron, she was just upset he hadn't come back with her. "I didn't want to move but daddy got a new job in Bedford and so we had to move, he's a boss at a new plant they made." Laura smiled at Aaron. "Will you forgive me?"

Sophie watched as Laura hugged the older boy and asked him to forgive her. Haha! Laura was such a weirdo! It was the second time Sophie had seen her angry at someone and all of a sudden being friendly with the same person and apologizing. She smirked and felt relieved. Laura seemed to be alright now. Phew!

Logan walked down the third floor corridor, eating one of the chocolate chip cookies Taylor had given him. He loved cookies! THEY MADE HIM HYPER! Hehehehehe! He walked down the corridor and paused and leaned against the wall. He was so happy he had come here, and met all his amazing friends. Sammy, Cardigan, Taylor, Ella, Jezz, Amethyst and all the others. They were all real great, he loved each of them.

Aaron grinned as Laura joined in on the lying explaining to Head Girl and continued to have some weirdly formal conversation with the girl. Suuuure, they were having a ball!
He had taught his almost-sister well.
He took a large swig from his bottle of Dr Pepper, 'I was just explaining how Dr Pepper was SIMPLY MARVELLOUS!' Cause it was. 'It really is, don't you agree, Girl Head? Head. Girl. Head Girl?'
He smiled awkwardly at the Seventh Year, hoping she wouldn't take... like points or anything.

What happened next made Aaron grin even more. Laura ran over to him, hugging him again. He shook his head and hugged her closely. 'I'm sorry too & I wish we both didn't have to move.' He pouted, he really did, even if he knew that his parents not being together was better. He just would like to have kept the house. And Laura as his neighbour.
But at least they'd see each other at school for the next two years. 'Course I forgive you, doof.' He grinned at her and took a cookie out of one of his pockets. 'Wannit?'

Alyssa was glad when she saw Laura and Aaron laugh with each other, hug and then and make up. They had known each other like FOREVER, and Alyssa didn't want Laura to stay angry with Aaron forever. Friendship was a valuable thing and shouldn't be taken for granted. So she walked up to the two of them and hugged them both in a BIG HUG....even if they hadn't asked for one, before stepping back and walking away. She would leave them alone to catch up.

Rehearsing for a play? Really. "Very loud play," Vashti commented. "What's the name of it?" This would be interesting.

Then...the first year was bowing? "You don't need to bow..." Hadn't she gone over this? And what was it about a badge that made some people act like this? Strange. "But yes, I'm well." Well enough at any rate. And they were just having fun? It certainly hadn't sounded like fun, shouting like they were.

But then the older Hufflepuff changed his story and claimed they'd been discussing Dr. Pepper. "A play about Dr. Pepper?" She did nod though when he sort of repetitively asked her whether she agreed that Dr. Pepper was "simply marvelous". "Dr. Pepper is nice, yes." It wasn't her favorite brand of soda, but she did like it.

Then the first year and the older Hufflepuff were hugging and apologizing, so it seemed the angry yelling was over. Which was good, since it meant her fellow students were capable of settling an argument without a prefect or a professor to do it for them. Vashti couldn't help the small smile that crossed her face. "Anyway, I'm glad to see your shouting match is over. Everything's okay now, yeah?" If it was, then she should probably be on her way.

Laura looked at Aaron and sighed. "Don't worry I'm going to bed mummy and daddy to let you come and visit us next summer." Laura continued to hug Aaron, and then she hugged Alyssia. "Your not going anywhere either." Laura smiled as she hugged both old students. "I don't want you to leave school before me can you stay?" Seriously Aaron should be forced to stay.

Laura looked at the cookie and smiled. "Yes Please." Laura really wanted a cookie, she took out a mars bar from her pocket and smiled at Aaron. "Trade you." Seriously cookies where better than Mars Bars any day.

Laura then turn to the Head Girl. "Miss Ravenclaw Head Girl." Laura thought hard about what the Play was called. "It's called Doctor Pepper does it again." Laura lied she had no idea what it would be about. "It's about a Doctor that drinks Doctor Pepper and always finds out who did it." Yeah that was it.

Passing the small contreversy between some Hufflepuffs and the Ravenclaw Head Girl that stole her shoes, Eva wanted to but in and shout SHOOSH as she was trying to walk in peace without people yelling around. Though the little thing going on seemed pretty interesting she just minded her own buisness and walked.

Paulie turned and lifted an eyebrow as he walked part some odd inter-house debacle going on in the corridor. It wasn't quite enough to hold his interest so much that he would pause his ambling to watch, so he continued on his merry way. His hands toyed with his tie and a moment later, he found another student walking along. "Wonder what that's all about, huh?" He remarked to her, not really minding that he didn't know her one bit.

he wah? She was focusing on the little scenario more than anything else as she kept her eyes peeled for someone to snap. As she was trying to ignore people she just couldn't help responding to someone elses question. As she was about to say something she forgot. Thinking harder than ever she had remembered but it took a moment to think of it. "Oh, yeah. Well um they seem pretty um loud? But it looks like one crazy arguement."

Laura looked at the girl and smiled. "It's not an argument we are just have a laugh, we want to do a play." Laura giggled. "It's about how Awesome Doctor Pepper is and How Awesome Miss Ravenclaw Head Girl is." Laura didn't care if the head girl told her off for calling her what she just did.

Jade Skidmoore walked along the third floor corridor, thinking to herself. She was thinking about how her boyfriend didn't even see her at all on Valentine's Day and she was getting worried. Was she mad? Of course, but not as much as she was sad. She took a seat on one of the stone benches that was beside the corridor wall and criss-crossed her legs. "What to do, what to do." She muttered to herself, watching as people walked by.

Valentines day was always upsetting especially when you had nobody to be with. There were just too many couples around getting all cuddly and cozy and it wasn't really Nessie's cup of tea. Her morning with her big 'brother' Adam had been quite okay, although she had to admit it was a tad awkward, but that was over now and she had places to be and she had someone to look for.

So off she went along her usual route which went through the third floor corridor. As she continued walking she noticed that somebody was sitting on one of the benches all on their own mumbling to themselves about something. Curious as she always was, Ness walked closer to the girl on the bench, only to realize that the girl was familiar. If only Nessie could remember her name, it was something with a J wasn't it? She couldn't remember. "What to do about what?" Asked Ness shyly trying to figure out what this girl was on about.

As Jade was contemplating on how to confront Nikolas, a girl came up to her and asked her a question. However, she was so distracted that she didn't even hear it. "Sorry, what did you say?" She asked, slightly remembering this girl. Where did she remember her from? Was it at the Whomping Willow? At one of the feasts? No and no. Who was she?

OH WAIT. "You're that girl who hugged me, right? Isn't your name, Natalie-no, Nishelle-no, Nicolle-no. I can't remember, but I'm sure I've met you before, do you mind reminding me again, please?" She asked, giving a smile. Now that was weird. Jade was weirded out by herself lately. She was becoming nicer and she didn't know why. Was it because it was the month of February and everything seemed so lovely? Eh, she didn't know, but she wanted to cure it.

Reaching the third floor corridor Zhenya decided to have a snoop around and see if she could see Raven. She looked up around the Charms class, but nothing. She went up and peeked through the Hospital Wing, but nothing. Well, it was good she wasn't in the hospital otherwise Zhenya would have felt awful that her friend was in hospital.

She decided she was definitely not there and left down the stairs.

Really? This girl hadn't heard what she had said. Ness bit her lip wondering whether to ask again or not. Whatever this girl was on about may have been private and the fact that Ness was asking could have been really rude. Well..it was to late now wasn't it? "Ermm..I was just wondering what you were talking about?" she said quietly hoping the Gryffindor wouldn't react badly. She had, had quite a few bad experiences with bad tempered Gryffindors and she was hoping this girl wasn't like them.

Yep..that was her the hugging girl. Nessie gave the girl a small smile. "Yeah..but erm..my names Nessie." She said with a small nod to make sure the girl got it. "And your name is?" she asked you know just to be sure. Looking at the bench she took a seat, the girl wouldn’t mind right? And if she did well tough, because her legs were tired especially after all the walking she did.

Tay saw Damon walking in the third floor corridor and ran to catch up to him. "Hey." She smiled at him. Taylor was still wearing black and a flower in her hair. Her curls were framing her face as she looked at him.

Damon looked up at her for a second then looked back down, "Hey..." He said, barely audible. Just looking at her right now sucked for him. Just let her walk away... Just like you should've when you first met her. He felt a throb in his heart.

"What is wrong damon?" Tay was concerned about her friend. She had a frown on her face now. "What happened?" Taylor narrowed her eyes, "Did Maxwell do anything?"

"No, he..." Damon stopped himself before standing up, and tried to walk past Taylor. No words, whatsoever... He reminded himself, another throb. He didn't want to do this... but in the end, Taylor would be better off with Maxwell; same age, funny... Normal; and they would be happier if Damon was just out of the picture.

Tay grabbed his arm, "Damon stop." She frowned, "What the heck is going on?" Taylor was getting annoyed and a little hurt by the way he was acting.

"Taylor..." Damon looked at her, pain and hurt showing fully, "I'm... I'm just doing what seems right; and keeping my promise." He felt a pang of pain again; it wasn't from her touch either. His heart was breaking with each word that came out of his mouth, "And to do both... You and I... we can't talk anymore." His voice broke a little but he got it back undercontrol quickly.

Tay's eyes filled with tears and her hand went to the flower she had in her hair. With one motion, the flower began to fall to the ground, as her tears began to fall. Without a single word, she turned and started to leave. Taylor couldnt believe what happened....

Damon looked back at her, Turn... keep walking, let her run to... Screw it. Damon turned, picking up the flower, and ran to her, "Taylor!" He wrapped her in a hug. I can't do this. Not to her, or to me.

Taylor felt his arms wrap around her and turned her head to look at him, "I thought you said..." Tay was happy that he was hugging her but she was very confused.

"Taylor... I want to be here. And don't blame Maxwell for this either. I just... I'd rather break a promise than to see you hurt." Damon said, his surges were gone comepletely, I love you Taylor McIntyre... He thought to himself.

Tay still looked at him and she turned completely around to get a better look at him. She was of course still in his arms and had her arms wrapped around him. "What promise?"

"I can't tell you that..." He sighed, "Had a spell placed on it and everything." Damon looked at her, "Unfortunately... That included not saying what the promise was."

Tay looked at him and laid her head on his chest, "Is it by MAxwell?" If so she was soooooooo going to be mad at her boyfriend. She glanced up at Damon, without moving her head.

Damon sighed and shook his head, "Unfortunately I can't say that either... No telling who it was to or what it was on." He looked at her, "Though, believe me I wish I could tell you... You'd be surprised who cares about you in this world."

Tay didnt respond to anything he said now, She just buried her head in his chest. Taylor didnt know what would happen if she spoke so instead she just kept her mouth shut and her head buried.

Damon sighed, playing with a string of her hair, "I'm sorry Taylor..." He kissed the top of her forehead.

She looked up, "Damon... thank you for being like a brother to me." Tay stood on her toes to kiss his cheek, still in his arms with her arms around him.

Damon blushed, not quite sure how to respond to what had happened. He did want to jump up in the air and do a dance of celebration, but, that would ruin the moment, "Thank you for not running away that day in the dungeons." He smiled, Thank you for showing me love beyond what I've ever felt before.

Tay smiled, "Thank you for dancing with me that day." She smirked and rested her head on his chest again.

"Well thank you for..." Crap... nothing else that wouldn't be romantic probably. He sighed, "Thank you for getting me out of my anti-social bubble." He smiled, it would work...

Tay laughed and thought for a moment, "Well thank you for helping me when my sister got kidnapped and murdered." Her face tightened..... did i really say that?? She grew quiet.

"And I'm still here to help, whenever I'm needed." He smiled, then realized Taylor might ask about why he hadn't tried to pull away. So he jumped back, "Sorry," He sighed, "They do hit randomly though..." He shook his head.

Tay almost fell when he jumped back. She giggled, "Yeah that was really random." Taylor smiled.

"But... They are getting better." Damon smiled, "That was what? Five minutes of physical contact with another person." He smiled to show he was kidding.

Tay laughed and playfully slapped him, "Are you teasing me?" She grinned at him, "Because i can.... well i don't know what i could do." Taylor giggled.

"More teasing myself than you. But you are the main reason it could happen." Damon smiled at her, "There's nothing you could do to harm a goth..." He paused, realizing that didn't work anymore, "You can't harm a previous goth?" He said shrugging.

"I could try to think of a way but i dont wanna." She smiled at him and laughed.

He smirked, "I'm sure you could." He laughed.

She laughed, "I am a ravenclaw afterall." Tay flipped her hair, "We can always figure things out." Taylor smirked at him.

"But scaring me isn't easy. You should know that by now." He smiled, "I have nerves of steel; nothing bothers me." He laughed, Ok, well I am afraid of losing her but... She doesn't need to know that.

Tay raised an eyebrow, "Oh nothing bothers you? Not even say a hug?" She hugged him. "OR a kiss on the cheek." Taylor gave him a kiss on the cheek, then stepped back, "I mean after all, werent you the one who jumped at the thought of touch?" Tay teased him and giggled. "I will find a way to scare you, bro." She smirked.

Damon faked a cringe, "Okay... So that one needs a little on that one... but besides that... I'm perfectly fine." He smiled, "Care to make a bet on that? I'll give you until your birthday to find something that frightens me." He smirked.

Tay smiled, "Ok what are we betting then?" She smirked, sure that she could find something that he is afraid of.

Damon thought for a second, "I'm not sure..." Then it clicked, "If I win... Well then, I suppose I could set the amount of times you can actually hug me." He smirked, if it had been anyone else he would've felt awkward, but with Taylor, he didn't care how silly he could sound.

Tay pouted at what he said a little. "Do i really hug you too much?" She tugged on a strand of her hair and was feeling a little too close to him now so she stepped a few steps back. "If i win then.....ummmmmm....... you come with me to an boring event like say a dinner?"

"As in a royal dinner?" Damon looked at her; trying not to sound to excited, Why is she inviting me? Why not Brain-dead boyfriend... Damon thought, "It's a deal. And you don't, but it would still probably bother you." He smirked, ruffling her hair.

Tay smiled and nodded, "Yeah, i mean i would invite Maxwell but he doesnt know yet and i rather not tell him....." She trailed off and her pout grew with the probably bother you thing and the ruffing her hair, "You messed up my hair!" Taylor tried to fix it.

Damon laughed, "Not really," He smiled at her, "And now you know how I feel when it happens to me..." He paused realizing he no longer had his long hair, "Or use to have I suppose."

Tay stuck out her tongue, "You are a boy, it doesnt bother you as much as a girl." She giggled and smiled at him.

"Maybe so... but still." He smiled at her, "I guess I know one of your weaknesses now." He did a mock evil laugh and smiled at her.

Tay mocked pouted and stuck out her tongue at him, "Never mess up a McIntyre girl's hair." She giggled and smiled at him.

Damon did a mock bow, "As you wish Princess." He smiled up at her.

Tay giggled and playfully slapped his arm, "Stop it." But it didnt come off as stern because she was giggling too much and because she was smiling

"Stop what?" He smirked, "Sorry, Puck's starting to grow on me. First I look like him. Now I'll start acting like him..." He smiled.

"You know what." She giggled and smiled. Tay turned and pretended to walk away.

Damon shook his head, "I swear... It seems today is 'Walk Away From Damon Day." He smirk.

She turned and laughed, "What does that suppose to mean?" Tay raised an eyebrow at him.

Damon sighed, "Maxwell walked away from me today when we were talking. It didn't go over that well if you were wondering."

Tay frowned, "What happened?" She walked over to him, getting ready to comfort him if need be.

"A lot of stupid things were said." Damon sighed, and looked at her, not wanting her to think Maxwell was a bad guy he added, "From both parties." He shook his head, "I said stupid things, his eyes turned red, like, he wanted me to drop dead nearly. He accused me of lying to you when I told you I loved you like a sister." Damon sighed again. He did feel bad for what had happened, truely.

Tay sighed, "Can we change the subject please?" She turned away again. What was with them two? I mean really?

"I'll talk about whatever you want to talk about Princess." He smirked, no one else was around so she couldn't really be too mad at him for calling her it.
