Harvey ran out to the Willow for his workout with Justin "Right.. I.. am.. here now" he said to his best friend smiling.. as he tried to catch his breath.. his workout was a bit done..

Glenn ran to the Whomping Willow, just out of reach of it's menacing arms. She flopped on the ground, waiting for Sophie to catch up from the Great Hall. Her blonde curly hair was tied up in a bun that had half fallen out, and had managed to get a leaf or two stuck in it from when she flopped on the leaf-strewn ground. She sighed and closed her eyes, enjoying the slight breeze and the sunlight.

Sophie came running and stopped a few feet away from the huge Whomping Willow. She actually liked that hitting tree. It has been really nice to them most of times during Capture the Flag! She smiled looking up at it.

At the corner of her eye she could see Glenn flopping around. She giggled and let herself fall down too. "It really is a nice day, isn't it??" she said looking up at the sky.

"Yes, it is." Glenn sighed, and watched the Whomping Willow waving its arms around in the air, autumn leaves falling from them as it did so.

"Better out here than inside, slaving like house elves on our homework." Glenn smirked and shielded her eyes from the sun, watching everyone going about their business in the Hogwarts Grounds.

"I couldn't agree more!" Sophie smiled, still looking up to the sky. That reminded her... "Hey, have you started stargazing for the Mystery Telescope Challenge yet, Glenn?"

"No, no I haven't," Glenn said, "Do you reckon I should?" She had always liked staring up at the stars, imagining how people had come up with the constellations, she wasn't sure if she'd enjoy the technical side of things.

"Well, if you want to be part of it, you should!" Sophie said. "We can stargaze together someday, if you want!"

Ella walked down towards the Whomping Willow with her journal and quill. Strangely enough, she found it quite comforting sitting near the magical tree with its eerie branch arms. She never sat close enough for it to injure her, just close enough to feel a slight breeze when the willow shook its furious branches, spewing leaves all over the place. She settled down and began to write. After a while, she began to sing. She was being quite loud but it wasn't too crowded where she was sitting and she felt sure no one could hear her.

Sophie was still lying on the ground when she heard someone singing an awesome song. She sat up quickly and looked around. She spotted Ella and opened a big smile. "Hey, Ella!!" she said waving at the girl. "Nice song!"

Ella looked up from her journal with wide eyes. Someone heard me?! Oh boy, that poor person is probably bleeding from the ears! She looked around to see who was speaking to her and let out a sigh of relief when she saw it was Sophie. "Hey Sophie! Thanks!" She stood and dusted the grass off her clothes then walked over to where Sophie was sitting. "Sorry about the singing! I'm not good but it never stops me from belting out a tune!" She laughed as she gestured wildly like an opera singer would. "I wish I had some kind of musical talent!" She plopped herself down next to Sophie and smiled. "What are you girls up to?"

"Don't be silly!" Sophie said still smiling. "Besides, that song sounds cool despite of the person who's singing it!" she grinned. Looking around as Ella asked the last question, Sophie lay down again. "Nothing much. Just... doing nothing for a little while before getting back to homework!" she smiled at the sky. It was indeed a beautiful day. "It seems today we'll be able to see more stars at night! Do you want to stargaze with us later, Ella?"

Ella nodded. Sophie had a good point about that song. It was definitely cool despite the person singing it! "You're right, it definitely is. That was proven to me when my dad would sing it in the car!" She laughed, remembering how terrible her dad's singing had been. "Homework has definitely been challenging! Especially when all I want to do is explore the castle!" She drummed her fingers together mischievously thinking of all the places she still had yet to explore. After hearing Sophie's invitation, Ella lay back on the grass and looked up at the sky. "Yeah, I bet it will be a great night for stargazing. Count me in!"

Logan opened his mouth, laughed a little, and stood up. "You are going to get it, missy!" he said, getting up and running after her.

"You will have to catch me first!" Taylor looked over her shoulder, laughing at Logan chasing her. She smiled and continued to run but was looking forward and not at logan so she wouldn't fall or get hurt.

Sophie laughed at Ella's comment about her dad. "Is your dad a wizard too?" she asked looking at her friend. Then she heard Ella talking about exploring the castle. Her eyes sparkled a bit when she replied. "I know!! That's what I've been wanting to do as well! I've managed to walk around in the free time, but haven't been to all of the places yet!" Hogwarts was huge!! At least they still had the rest of the term to explore a little more.

Still looking up at the sky, Sophie sighed. That was such a good and calm day! "Stargazing will be awesome!"

"Well, we've got Arithmancy tonight anyway, don't we?" Glenn said, turning to face Sophie, "How're you getting along with my Homework?" She said, "I'm SUPER behind." Glenn laughed and sat up, off of the grass. Picking a couple of leaves from her hair and flicking them away fro where they were sitting.

"You mean Astronomy? Yes, we do!" Sophie said. She was excited for her first Astronomy lesson. She didn't know anything about astronomy. The only think she knew was that stars were pretty! That's why she loved the idea of stargazing for Astronomy class.

Sophie sat up too and looked at Glenn. "I'm actually doing fine with homework." she was taking a break now, because she had done a big part of their homework right before coming to the Whomping Willow. "Are you done taking care of your fire seed bushling? Need help with anything?" Sophie was even having a good time with their History of Magic homework! She never expected to have fun while doing a History homework. But that was probably because it was the same as Care of Magical Creatures. Still, that was a big deal!

"Yeah, I meant that!" Glenn smacked a hand to her forehead, feeling pretty stupid. She had been thinking about multiple things at once and had said the wrong thing aloud.

"I've finished Herbology homework with the fire seed bushing already. But I need to just practise a little more on Transfiguration, I need to finish my Care of Magical Creatures/History of Magic homework and Muggle Studies homework." Glenn said, she realised she would have finished these earlier if she hadn't always been procrastinating, "I'll be fine though, I have an idea for Care of Magical Creatures." Glenn smiled at Sophie, not wanting her to worry about her falling behind in homework.

Sophie giggled when Glenn smacked her hand to her forehead. "At least I got what you meant! That's the important thing!"

"I already have a frame for transfiguration, but I think I'll do another one. The one I have is way too simple." but Sophie had liked it anyway. She was thinking about giving both of her frames away. One for Glenn, as they had said they'd do at the Topiary Garden, and the one she would give to someone else. And if she ever made more than two, she would give those away as well! Heh! "Muggle Studies... I wonder if the Professor will let me hand in the homework even though I didn't go to the first lesson..."

Glenn giggled along with Sophie, "Yes, I suppose so."

"I've made a frame too, but I want to make a cooler one. I'll probably make a couple for some photos I'd like to frame and give away to people." She'd give one to her brother, Thomas, one for Sophie, like they said they'd do at the Topiary Garden and maybe another one, she had quite a couple of photos in her camera, maybe she'd do one for her dad. She had some photos of her and his favourite Quidditch team on her camera that she could print off and frame.

"I'm sure she will," Glenn said, nodding encouragingly, "If you need help I could help you with it." Even though she hadn't finished her own.

Ella smiled at Sophie. "No, My parents have no magic. Actually I'm the first person to show magic in our immediate family as far as I know." She had always wondered where he magic had come from. "Are your parents-do they have magic?" She asked curiously. When she saw Sophie's eyes sparkle she laughed. "We'll have to do some exploring sometime then! You too Glenn!"

"Yeah we'll have to!" Glenn smiled at Ella and laughed, "Hey, talking about exploring - well - not really but, Minerva said they were having a party in the common room. I think it might have started now." She said, talking to to both Ella and Sophie at the same time, she glanced at her watch, it was when they said it would start. Her watch was an old beat up one, after all, it was tradition to give a watch when someone magical came of ages, so she would be getting a newer one then. "Should we all go?"

Ella smiled. A party sounded great and she was happy to go celebrate with her fellow puffs. "Sure! Lets go!" She jumped up excitedly motioning her head towards the castle.

Sophie heard interested as Ella explained her family magical heritage. "Both of my parents are magical. But I'm halfblood. You see, my dad's a muggleborn, like you!" she smiled at her friend. "And I went to a muggle school before coming to Hogwarts, so yeah." she would know a lot about muggles, even with both of her parents being magical.

Sophie jumped up when both Glenn and Ella got up. "Let's go then!" she said, starting to walk towards the castle. "What are we celebrating anyway?"

Aurora wandered down to the whomping willow. She had dumped her revision books on her bed and just left them. She could not be bothered with cadences and veela hair bow strings right now. She'd been studying in all her spare time recently. It was horrible.

Anyway, she was actually leaving the castle for once, it would be nice to talk to someone about something other than music... finally. Not that she disliked music, just that talking about it got a little tedious after such a long time... She flopped down onto the floor a little way from the whomping willow and rested her head on her hands. She hadn't anticipated quite how cold it would be so she pulled her cloak and scarf tighter in an attempt to hide all her skin from the chill.
