Ella reached the wall with her parents in tow behind her. She stopped suddenly and with no warning, causing her parents to bump into her. "Ouch!" He father said. "Sorry dad, I'm a bit nervous." She turned her body to face both of her parents, trying hard not to cry. She was determined to go through the wall and board the train alone since her parents were toting her baby brother with them. "Honey, you'll be great. Just remember that you're a beautiful, smart, brave girl." Her mother pulled Ella into a bone breaking hug, smushing Ella's face against baby Caleb's little body. "Thanks Mom. I love you guys. I'll be fine, I promise." Ella kissed her brother's cheek and gave her mother another hug. Her mother started to cry and Ella's father suggested that she head back to the car. Upon her mother's departure, Ella found herself in another bone crushing hug by her father. He then got down on his knees so that he was the same height as his daughter. "I'm so happy for you, El. I know that you're going to learn so much at Hogwarts and meet so many new friends. Know that your mom and I are thinking of you. We love you, hon. Be good and write often." With that, Ella's dad kissed her on the forehead and stood. "Alright, you better get going kiddo." Ella looked up at her dad and smiled. "Thanks dad, I love you and I will be writing about everything! Promise!" She put on a brave face and turned toward the wall. She gripped the trolley carrying her trunk and Jasper's cage and started to run. She hoped for the last time that this wasn't a dream. |
Maya walked along the platform, her heart beating furiously in her chest. How was she going to find platform 9 and 3/4’s? Looking up ahead she could see a small group of people congregating by one of the walls between platforms 9 and 10. They all had trolleys with trunks and there were several owls and cats hooting and meowing. She had an inkling that they might know how to get to the train. Turning to her father she said, "Well this is it." Her voice breaking as she looked at him. She was trying her hardest not to cry but despite her efforts tears began trickling down her face. Her father, Dominik, gently brushed them away, and kissing her on the head told her that he loved her, everything would be ok and that it was quite understandable that she’d be nervous. Maya gave a weak smile "I love you too Dad” she said giving him a huge hug. She still had reservations about going to Hogwarts, she didn't want to leave her father on his own and she was worried that he would be lonely without her; they were all each other had after her mother had disappeared 4 years ago. Maya glanced back to where the other people were still standing, still unsure of how to find platform 9 and 3/4’s. Looking closer she could see people appearing to run at the wall and then disappearing through it. Wait! She thought, that can’t be right, but no, she had just seen another young girl run straight at the wall and instead of landing in a heap on the floor she’d gone straight through. She gave her father one last hug before leaving and then gripped her trolley hard gathering the courage to run at the wall. |
Vickers' gaze went from his Uncle to the clearly indicated Platform 9. He leaned sideways-- he could see Platform 10 and 11. He glanced back down at the ticket -- it said Platform 9 3/4. Straightening up he looked quizzically at his uncle "Wheres....?" Corin watched his nephew trying to figure it out. Oh yeah, he isnt going to keep him from experiencing the utter confusion and wonderment of where that apparently missing platform is. Heck if he had a more wicked sense of humor he'd actually tell his nephew to look around for it for a good hour. But Corin isnt like that so... "Its through that wall." He said as he nodded his head towards the direction of the very solid looking brickwork. "Hogwarts Express uses a dedicated track, therefore the entire platform has to be.... separated." Yes he isnt going to go over the political ramifications of what exactly brought the whole platform about. Perhaps when his nephew starts asking about it. But looking at the boy's face he had enough to think about. Stepping aside he instructed "Just sprint towards the wall with your trolley and you will find yourself on 9 3/4." Simple enough right? Through the wall?? Vickers eyes grew large as his Uncle spoke. He thought it was a joke until he listened to the other man explain. "Separated... uhm ok."He wanted to ask more questions but now his Uncle has stepped beside the trolley. Vickers took to the handle bars and looked nervously at the wall. He understood about magical portals but it still didnt take away the fact that it still looked pretty forbidding. Running into it with a trolley full of heavy luggage wasnt something a logical person would do. And he kinda prided himself on that point. He looked back at his Uncle. So this was goodbye? "Uhm... thanks Uncle Corin. For everything." the younger Vanderbilt smiled then stole a quick hug from his uncle before sprinting towards the wall behind his trolley. The hug was unexpected but nonetheless welcomed. Corin raised his hand up in goodbye as he called out to his sprinting nephew "Dont forget to write!" He watched the boy disappear behind the brick wall, and couldnt help remembering the moments when he first saw what was on the other side. Well now it was his nephew's turn to form those unforgettable memories. Assured that the boy was in pretty good hands now, Corin turned and made his way back to the limo. |

"See you there..." He said with a strong nod, causing his hair to bounce a little. He watched as she walked through the wall, looked around to make sure no one else had noticed, and charged with his trunk's handle tight between his fingers and Ino's carriage sitting on top of it safely (only because his uncle had placed a Sticking Charm on it, one that Eino had taught his, in face), Eino made it through, and met Louisa on the opposite side. |
It was time to go. Her mother held onto her arm and briskly walked her through the barrier, her father following. She walked a little on and she was on a new platform. |
Melanie quickly said bye to her parents and took off with her trolley with all her things and also her brand new barn owl named Angel toward the wall between platform 9 and 10. She closed her eyes and ran. |
Jordan said goodbye to her parents. She made her approach to platforms 9 and 10. Before making a run for it she gave a final glance in her parents direction. Finally she took a deep breath and whispered to herself "this is it." and ran for the barrier. |
Imogine had no problem blending in with the muggles, she dressed like them every day (most of the time). Plus she was an expert at being undercover, which is why she dresses like a muggle in the first place! She tilted down her sunglasses after stepping out of a slick black flying car. She already had a train ticket, but she wasnt going to tell anyone where she got it... Wow, what is that, she noticed a muggle advertisement posted, huh, wa, "why isn't it moving" she said just loud enough, as she squinted at it. |
