Logan slowed to a stop as he saw Alex, and turne around as she ran towards him. He squinted his eyes at the Vegetable Patch, panting. "That's....one....big...spider..." he said between breaths.

The adult human was definitely the most sensible one. Didn't mean that Ranog wouldn't eat him. "My name is Ranog." he said with four eyes on the human speaking to him and the other four watching the other humans.

"I know that!" Did this human think he wanted to be away from the comforts of his home? Being out in the open and having to put up with the likes of those silly children. "There is something in the forest. We do not know what it is but it feels...wrong. We won't go back until it is gone."

Could he eat now?

"Ranog, what type of wrong? Like freaky as if you're about to die wrong. Or just as if someone is watching you wrong." Nate remembered all the accurances. The thestral at the front gate. The acromantula and the chimaera here. He heard that there were other strange accurances happening to. Like the blaste ended skrewt that Oakey told him about. Oakey! He peered from behind from were he was hiding and saw that Oakey was still alright. Nate had to say something else to the spider as well. "Ranog may I have my half destroyed robe back please."

Ranog got a slow blink. Two problems, then... the animals were leaving the forest because there was something in the forest. Was this a time to owl the Ministry for assistance? Fence off the whole forest?

Send in a search party to deal with it? He liked that option best.

"If we help in ridding this forest of the... thing, will you leave the school grounds without harming any students?" It would be helpful to only have to deal with ONE Hufflepuff-hungry creature at a time.

Of course the human would ask that of him. HE gets driven out of his home and into this place with all these yummy morsels running around and he's not allowed to eat any of them.

"Find me a dark place and plenty of food and I will do as you wish." That had been a hard thing for Ranog to say. He dropped the young one's clothing onto the ground and took a few steps back.

"But who's going to tell the Chimaera?"

They seemed to have forgotten about him. Which was a good thing. The Chimaera stood behind the other adult human, his mouth drooling saliva all over the man's shoulder. Another low grumbling growl came out of his mouth to let them all know that he was still there.

"Hmm. That is a good question. Who is going to tell the chimaera. To bad none of us speak it's language. Hmm. Maybe just maybe. Chimaera here." He then did a motion to the chimaera to come. Maybe he could do motions to the chimaera to tell it. That was if it even understood what the motions mean. Hopefully the chimaera would understand them. He would have to figure out the motions to do to tell the chimaera in the first place. Oh boy this wasn't going to be easy.

Seeing as his Dancing spell was an utter waste of time he kept his wand out and overheard Nate think it was fine to converse with the Acromantula. Oakey shuffled his feet till he was looking directly at Nate from behind the fence. Nate! He called from across the fence in a raspy whisper You aren't hiding well if you're head is coming out of the bush and your talking.

He when he was done with Nate he shuffled back to the the entrance of the gate and his eyes widened when he saw the Chimera standing behind Tate! H-h-h-Headmaster, B-b-b-b-behind you... He stuttered warning the Headmaster of the immanent danger drooling on him. Oakey pointed his wand at the Chimera still standing behind the fence but slightly leaning out.

Kurumi finally managed to push herself off the ground now and simply stood to the side as the Headmaster discussed things with...Ranog was it? Her eyes then flicked towards the Hufflepuff boy who was NOT listening to anything that she, the Headmaster, OR Professor Scabior was saying. Stay to the side. Keep quite. Hide. He was doing none of these and she was pretty sure that she saw a vein pulsing in the History of Magic professor's forehead. EEK.

Before the man could have a chance to stun the boy, or worse, Kurumi flicked her wand in his direction. "Silencio." NOW could he please go stand by Oakey and let the adults handle the situation. "Nate, PLEASE get a safe distance away and let the Headmaster and Professor Scabior handle this." PLEASE?

Three for three on silencing Hufflepuffs....what a year this was turning out to be...

Turning back to the Headmaster now...Kurumi saw that...the Chimaera was back on the prowl.

MERLIN! NO Headmaster hamburger please!

Wand out again, Kurumi pondered her next move. Would...using a curse be bad? Probably right? But she wasn't sure that a Freezing Charm would be strong enough against such a creature...but the creature wasn't DOING anything just yet...and Oakey had just warned the Headmaster about it being there...

Kurumi glanced at Ranog and bowed her head, still deciding that it was best for the adults to do the talking.

Scabior had been focused on what Ranog had to say (and ignoring the youngest Puff who continued to speak, despite the countless times he had been told not to).

If something was in the forbidden forrest, making it feel wrong to the animal, could they not just attack the thing? Attacking seemed like an easy task for both creatures. "Do you not have some way of communicating with... it?"

His attention was so focused on the conversation with Ranog that Scabior hadn't noticed the Chimera move from where it had been before. It wasn't until he heard a low grumbling noise behind his ear did he realize that it was so close.

In fact, it was right behind him.

His wand twitched is his hand, as he turned his wrist behind his back uncomfortably so that it was pointed at the creature. Without any hesitation he whispered a couple of Jelly-Legs Jinxes before taking a giant step to his side, managing to only damage one carrot.

The creature couldn't speak English, it was all self defence.

After Nate got silenced he figured he might as well stay like that without fighting it. So he had to go over to Oakey. But unfortunately there was a giant spider on one side and a chimaera on the other. So looks like he would have to go a different route. He quickly slipped away into the shadows. Then a few moments later he came out from hiding behind the acromantula. He would just keep on side stepping. So he did that. After a long, dreadful, horrifying walk he got to the front gate of the vegetable patch to where Oakey was standing. He then silently stood next to him.

Glenn felt like a walk down to The Vegetable Patch and was floored by what she saw when she arrived there. That. Was. One. Gigantic. Spider. And that other, Lion thing?She clutched her cardigan around herself tightly and glanced at the professor and the prefect. Her blue eyes were wide. Maybe she should run away?? "The-the spider." She squeaked, edging to where the others were standing. How did that thing get out here? She didn't really want to know. Those creepy things should stay in the forest.

Whatever the big human fired at him caused a funny sensation to run through his body but that was about it. He was really starting to get annoyed with the whole thing and out of the corner of his eye, he could see more of the small humans milling around.

He wanted to eat...someone!

Backing up a little, the Chimaera was just starting to weigh up his options of who was the best one to attack when he felt it.

It was the same feeling he'd had in the Forest. The thing was now out here. The Chimaera gave one last growl and sprinted off to head back into his home.

Isabelle had decided that she would take a walk in the vegetable plot and look at all of the vegetables. As she was walking through she heard a growl and whipped her head around seeing some animal that she didn't recognize run away. "Whoah, what are you?" she yelled chasing after the animal. It was super cool.

She began to pick up her pace and follow the animal.

It seemed that Oakey wasn't the only one who had taken notice of Nate's running mouth. Before Oakey could say another word to Nate to keep him quiet Kurumi cast the silencing charm on him too!

Oakey's face scrunched up and his nostrils flared. That's the last straw Kurumi Hollingberry, you leave me no choice! Oakey began spinning his web of revenge(No Pun Intended) in his mind. I'll just have to shut a few Gryffindors up now won't I. Oakey had completely forgotten about the Chimera and the Acromantula. AND YOU KURUMI will be the last on my list. He turned his head and looked back at Kurumi with evil eyes. Oakey probably wasn't really going to do it. He was just in the heat of the moment. Kurumi silencing Hufflepuffs was really getting old and annoying Oakey, as he was the first victim to the crime. He also just witnessed this one and the one on poor Laura.

Oakey turned back and jumped a little at the sight of Nate now next to him. Boy was he quick at getting out of trouble then he was at getting himself into it. Merlin, Nate Don't scare me like that. Oakey turned again and watched some more of the action, but the Chimera was now retreating it seemed? That's weird, It had the upper-hand just like the Skrewt did but now it was running away too.

Nate was starring into space when out of the corner of his eye he saw something. He turned to see what it was. When he turned it was a person. What were they doing. Were they chasing after the chimeara! Uh uh no way is she getting away. Nate started to poke Oakey and then point to the girl. Come on Oakey please see it. Come on just look to your left.

Kurumi had kept her attention on the Headmaster and Professor Scabior as they continued to negotiate with Ranog, but she did notice that the Chimaera had decided to return to the forest. GOOD! One less dangerous creature to worry abo---

Kurumi's eyes widened. What was that seventh year DOING? Kurumi would have thought that she would have had more sense than to go chasing after a dangerous creature like that, especially when the Headmaster and a professor were standing RIGHT there. Kurumi was tempted to go something drastic, like freeze her or cast Glisseo at her feet to cause her to fall, but she decided to keep her wand in her pocket this time. "Psst, leave him alone," Kurumi hissed at the girl. "It just wants to go back to the forest." And had finally decided not to eat anyone and now she was encouraging it to change her mind.

Kurumi then shifted her attention back to the two Hufflepuff boys, noting Oakey glaring at her. Hey, if he was mad about the silencing spell, Nate could only blame himself. He had been told several times by the Headmaster AND Professor Scabior to keep quiet and he hadn't. Still, she shrugged her shoulders and turned her attention to the Chimaera as it continued to walk off.

"I wonder...what made it change it's mind..." she wondered out loud. Did this mean that Ranog was going back into the forest as well?

Idly patting the white picket fence with his hand, Vickers walked the outer side of the vegetable garden looking for an ideal spot for his camera equipment. He paused halfway down the path and turned his head back and forth, trying to decide if his focal point would be the castle or the Groundskeeper’s hut, which wasn’t far from where he stood. Sliding the telescope over his eye he located the north star starting to make its appearance over the roof of the hut. Hmm, yeah that would look nice once the photo develops.

He set the camera bag down and brought out the camera and the tripod, assembling it deftly, a far cry when he struggled with it the first time he had them. He peered through the view finder and adjusted the tripod to make sure that both the north star and the Groundskeeper’s hut would show clearly once the photo develops. Then with a few flicks of his wand he got the camera started then stood back to set the protection shield in place. He turned to make his way back towards the castle hoping this would come out just as nicely as his earlier projects.

Damon walked up and sat down, waiting for Taylor, somewhat nervous to see what she thought, he'd cut his hair to show his natural red hair, and taken out the brown contacts with clear ones, so his emerald green eyes sparkled in the sun. He didn't feel comfortable, and he didn't feel like himself, but... It might help.

Tay was in black. She was trying to make Damon a little comfortable since he wore all black. Taylor had one of the flowers he gave her in her hair. She looked around for him but couldnt find him.

Damon looked up and saw Taylor. He smiled, not really seeing her outfit, just her, looking for him. He stood and walked over to her, "Hey Taylor!" He said kindly. He felt so awkward, but if she like it, it would all be worth it.

Tay looked at the person who told her hey. She wrinkled up her nose in confusion and tried to sidestep away. Taylor was trying to find Damon while she waited for Maxwell to show up too.

"Taylor? Are you alright?" Damon looked puzzled, "You act as if you don't recognize me." He smirked, knowing that probably was the case.

Tay glanced at the guy, "Who the heck are you?"

Damon chuckled, "You seriously don't recognize me... Do you princess?" He smirked, he knew that had to give it away, "Very well, I guess I'll just have to repeat my introductory one more time... Name's Damon, Damon Ashlyn-Darkmyr Mercada; but you can call me Ash."
