Not even ten feet away from Mr. Murdoch's hut sits a nice sized vegetable patch surrounded by a white picket fence. Its four rows of vegetable beds are blooming with produce, all according to season of course, and if you're lucky, Waylon may have left the shed in the back open for you to try your own hand at gardening.
Seeds, spades, gloves and anything else you might need can be found inside, just remember to clean up after yourself when you're finished!

"Hey! You like tomatoes?" asked Erin from afar. "I hate them!" Why would she loved them? They're so red. They looked like Mum's pimples when Erin's little sister was in her womb.
'You make it sound like a crime, loving tomatoes. In fact, they're the only vegetables I like, aside from peas maybe.' Ariadne replied, moving closer to the girl so as to avoid yelling. 'And tomato soup, that's the best. Of course, the soup made by Gran, mum is hopeless in the kitchen.' Ooops, too much information. Ari was blabbing, as usual, when she met someone new.

He peeked over the white fence to see a girl dancing around on the plants. Hey, you! He called out to the girl. What about Tomatoes?
he looked around and saw that this wasn't some magical Herbology garden, but a normal vegetable one, No Man-Eating-Plants in here he thought. This looked just like the one that Granny Gunter has back at home. Oh cool, he hoped over the fence only to catch the back of his robe to it and fell flat on his into the soft brown soil. He sat up and rubbed some of the dirt from himself off. He then looked around curiously. didn't I hear another voice? he asked the girl.
Saved by the new guy, Ari thought. Luckily, he showed up just as she was beginning to embarass herself. And somehow managed to embarass himself by falling off the fence. Supressing a chuckle, thinking it would be too rude, the girl asked instead: 'Are you ok?' She thought the boy handled the situation reasonably well, cleaning the dirt quite casually. Had it been her, she would be red like the aforementioned tomatoes.

Long robes. Those were just so annoying. Why wouldn't he fix it with a tailor? Or his Mum? Or someone who knew how to knit. "You should make it shorter then," Erin suggested. The guy didn't seem to know what to do with his problem. "Hey! If you want to, I can fix it for you. I'll cut it to your size and..." Oh! Was Erin being so charitable towards a Hufflepuff? She noticed his scarf just now! "Wait, you're a Badger?"
She didn't want to laugh, well that's a dran shame.
She seemed more perturbed about his long(ish) robe. Yeah, sure...okay. He replied. No harm in getting a little fix for his robe, if she offered to tailor it for him.
She only just noticed he was a Hufflepuff?!?! was being clumsy not one of the finer traits of his house? Suppose not. I guess I am. he jested, lifting his scarf up and fiddling with it. He looked and saw that she was in Ravenclaw. Oakey remembered back to his first year. He never did feel safe around anyone in Ravenclaw after their Quidditch Captain at the time, tried feeding him to a Man-Eating Plant. But Erin didn't seem bad.
Chills went down his spine as he relived that moment. The plus side to this garden was that he was the only Man-Eating Plants around here.

"No. She was my friend...a good friend, too. But she was completely rude and mean to me last night at the feast..." She scowled. She then held the bracelet out to Hannah. "You put it on! I wanna see what color it turns...and what the charms turn into," she said. And she decided to give it back to Jayden...in person. She wanted to see the look on her face...
She turned and looked at the girl that Hannah adressed. She, not wanting to be rude, held out her hand as well.
"And I'm Elliot. The more important one of this duo," she said sarcastically, giving Hannah a smirk...heehee.
Hannah didn't need to be told that Elliot was not on good terms with the person that gave Elliot the bracelet she was just merely being nosey and wanted Elliot to tell her what happened. "Forget her. She's not worth your time." For some reason she didn't like seeing Elliot upset especially over some silly girl that won't mean anything to her a year from now...she was sure of that much. Hannah took the bracelet cautiously and decided to put it on.
Hannah scowled at it when nothing happened. Did this silly little bracelet not know what arm it was now on. All of a sudden the charms started shifting to different shapes and they all changed to a bright turqouise. Hannah squinted at the shapes...she wasn't sure what exactly the shape was...it almost resembled a unicorn. "So what does that mean? Does it look like a unicorn to you as well?" She wondered what it did mean and if Elliot would even know after all it was a present given to her maybe she didn't know what all the colors and shapes meant.
She heard Elliot introduce herself to the other girl that was near them and decided to ignore the jibe she just gave her. Instead she met Elliot's gaze and returned her smirk.

Elliot met the other girl's eyes, sending her a silent thank you...it was rare that someone actually agreed with her! "No, apparently not." she sighed, but tried not to look too sad..she WASN'T too sad...right?
Elliot chuckled as the girl took the bracelet as if it might bite her..."It won't bite you, Hannah. Jeeze," she said with an evil smirk. The bracelet...didn't change?! What?! It was constantly changing when Elliot had it on, mostly a dark, brown color.
Suddenly, it changed at last! Elliot's lips fluttered into a grin as it turned the most putrid color...it was WAY too bright... "Ew...what a horrid color. Yuck. Hold up!" she said, and immediately she dug into her pocket and pulled out a piece of paper. It had the explanation of all the colors..."It is a mix of green, which means peaceful, and blue, which means happy...and yes...it does look like unicorns. But what could that mean?" she asked as she pursed her lips in thought. Hmm. Strange.

Presley was in the middle of her daily run when she noticed Elliot, and another girl who looked vaguely familiar. Had she been at Charles Gantworth's engagement party? Maybe. What made her stop, however, was Elliot's exclamation "Yuck" Had the ever-proper Elliot Mitchell Morganzo actually just used that awful word?
Presley jogged up beside her and stopped. "Hello, Elliot," she grinned, ready to see what verbal thorn she would get to deflect. "And," Presley tilted her head to the side, trying to recall the other girls name. "is it Lockwood?" she made the closest geuss she could figure. Being the one and only Presley Black, she made no attempt to introduce herself. If this younger girl didn't know who Presley was, then she wasn't worth Presley's precious time. Besides, she was a firstie, Presley was pretty sure.

The Hufflepuff guy accepted the help. Well, that would be an added assignment for Erin. Classes were starting little Ravenclaw, why offer help...to a HUFFLEPUFF? "You can find me all the time at the Ravenclaw common room, the seventh floor. I love hanging out in there," Erin smiled. And she was actually feeling super kind today. She could make the robe shorter, Erin smirked slightly at the thought.
"If you're a Hufflepuff, you may know Alyssa?" She's a third year and this Gunter guy was looking like in her year too, or higher like fourth.

Hannah decided against mentioning Elliot's friend again. She knew if the roles were reversed she wouldn't want to be constantly talking about someone that had just made her upset.
She didn't think it was a horrible color, but it wasn't a color she would go around wearing either. Of course she was happy and peaceful she was just sorted into Slytherin the best house there is. "The color I get. I am very happy about my sorting. The unicorn though..." as she trailed off with a shrug. Not that is really mattered to her either way what it meant, but she had to admit the bracelet was pretty interesting.
She took the bracelet off and handed it back to Elliot. She decided that a subjet change was in order. "So are you ready for class?" Hannah was actually looking forward to some of the classes. Other no so much like muggle studies...HMPH! What a waste of a wizards time. She would take it though for some points for her house. Ah yes Slytherin would win again this much she was sure of.

She then turned back to Hannah and gestured towards Presley.

And then she heard him talk to the other girl who had not introduce herself yet. On the contrary, that nickname was a nice one. But since, the Oakey guy didn't want that, then Erin would not disagree with him.
"Oh! You know her! She's almost a genius." Yes, she's the highest Hufflepuff point earner last term. The blush! "Do you? Do you...like her?" Erin grinned without even thinking as she reached for the robe the Gunter guy was giving her. "And as for our common room, that's what I'm saying." Duh?

The girl who had just introduced herself as Erin had a point. 'So you think vegetables are better for the skin that Pimpernelle's products on Diagon Alley?' Ari asked interestedly. Not that she had used any of those, her mother constantly told her she was too young for that stuff. 'Oh, my Gran doesn't live with us either, she just visits once in a while, and those are the only days when I eat a decent meal. Except here at Hogwarts, of course.'
Hmmm...the Gryffindor hadn't known Mordred to be that popular, but he was, apparently. 'Yes, we're quite good friends, though I haven't seen him in a while. Why?' the third year replied, with a question of her own. Oh! This reminded her she had to play matchmaker for Mordred and Rose, like she had promised her housemate. Almost a year ago. Sigh.
Anyway, moving on. 'It's a pleasure to meet you, Erin. I am Ariadne Marchbanks, or Ari if you want. It's shorter so it's quicker to say.'Was she blabbing again?!?

The Gryffindor girl snorted, quite loudly and most definitely unladylike. 'Mordy? He actually lets you call him that? He doesn't even like being hugged.'Well, maybe the unlucky Hufflepuff is better friends with him than you are, the annoying voice in Ari's head suggested.
She couldn't remember the last time she had been shushed, but couldn't deny that the boy had every right to do that, since they were talking rather loudly, and stuff other people should probably not know at that.
Despite herself, Ariadne actually chuckled at the boy's next statement. 'Ok, Oakey, sorry about that, by the way. It's just that I didn't know your name before so I had to identify you somehow. Mine's Ari. Well, Ariadne in fact.' she replied, smiling at the Hufflepuff. 'Oh, and nice to meet you.' She probably should have said that first.

Staying fit? Presley's head cocked to the side. Oh, running. "No, I'm fine without it, I just like to run." Kind of a little dissapointed that Elliot hadn't said something snotty, but that was okay, Presley supposed.
Presley held out her hand to the Lockwood girl to shake. "Pleased to meet you." Not letting on that she was still at a loss about the girls first name.
Sideways, she noticed Elliot angrily stuffing the bracelet she pretty sure Jayden had given her into her pocket. That was odd. Weren't they best friends? Something had to be up, but Presley didn't call it out. She and Elliot kept the illusion that both of them led perfect lives, and neither was willing to break that picture.
Classes. Didn't the girl realize that Elliot was a Ravenclaw? By nature they were perfectionists, like Elliot said. There was no way not to be ready for classes when they'd had their books for several weeks. Presley almost shook her head in exasperation. Maybe this girl was dimmer than she'd orriginally thought.

I'm not gonna talk about it. Oakey said to Erin, he was trying to keep his luck issue a secret from everyone and would even just try and push the subject aside to avoid talking about it, no way will anyone find out that he's a ticking unlucky time bomb.
She-she is!? Oakey said surprised no longer in a hushed ton but not as loud as the Gryffindor Girl. Not only did she have the looks but she was a genious! I-I uh...yeah I guess I do. No point in keeping this a secret. He wasn't very good at lying anyways.
When should I see you to get my robe back? He asked Erin. a few hours?

She couldn't remember the last time she had been shushed, but couldn't deny that the boy had every right to do that, since they were talking rather loudly, and stuff other people should probably not know at that.
Despite herself, Ariadne actually chuckled at the boy's next statement. 'Ok, Oakey, sorry about that, by the way. It's just that I didn't know your name before so I had to identify you somehow. Mine's Ari. Well, Ariadne in fact.' she replied, smiling at the Hufflepuff. 'Oh, and nice to meet you.' She probably should have said that first.
She didn't seem to pleased at him for calling his best friend Mordy. That loud snort spoke of it in volumes. I-uh yeah. He never told me not to. He laughed a lot at the "not liked being hugged" part, he remember "Hug a Slytherin Day". He even hugged Mordy, who had indeed flipped out.
Nice to meet you to Ariadne. Oakey replied back with his hand outstretched ready to shake.

Nice to meet you to Ariadne. Oakey replied back with his hand outstretched ready to shake.
'I see. I'm going to call him that when I next see him, I'm curious how he'll react.' Gryffindors, or maybe this one in particular, could make a challenge out of everything.
Uh-oh. A handshake? But he was a Hufflepuff. If for people in other Houses smiling, or even a grimace, was enough, the badgers wanted the whole deal, hugging, squeezing and whatnot. And it wasn't necessarily a bad thing; in fact, Ari was disappointed that she didn't act more like that at times. She finally shook the boy's hand determinedly. Why not?
'Any friend of Mordred's should be a friend of mine. He's very selective so I don't have to worry about a thing. And you do seem really fun.' she said with honesty.
Elliot raised her eyebrow, shooting Presley a very critical gaze. Running?
"Who likes runnning?" she asked with a dramatic eye roll. Presley was so weird sometimes.
Hannah was all the sudden being extremely quiet, so Elliot remained focused on Presley.
"You and I...we should chat sometime, Miss Black," she added at the end with her smirk, knowing it irked the other girl. Both of them seemed to speak the same fake language, because what Elliot was really trying to say was I want to talk to you later.... Presley was usually good at deciphering this Elliot code, and hopefully she again would know what the little Morganzo meant.

Presley was usually good at deciphering this Elliot code, and hopefully she again would know what the little Morganzo meant.
"People who like to relieve stress in a non-violent way like running," Presley replied coolly. She was actually really surprised more people didn't enjoy it. It really was great, because it gave a person time to think, and an excuse not to talk if they didn't want to.
Presley gave the Lockwood girl a confused look, and withdrew her hand. Why hadn't she shaken it? That was really awkward and completely improper of her. Presley had assumed that since Elliot was associating with her that the girl must be of noble blood, but obviously not if she couldn't even have the decency to shake an outstretched hand. But who cared? Presley just turned back to Elliot and moved on.
Presley rolled her eyes when Elliot called her by her surname. She and Elliot both knew why Elliot did that. And still, it got on Presley's nerves. But she was learning not to care. She knew it bugged Elliot when not addressed by her last name, and Elliot knew it bugged Pres when she was addressed by her last name. And both would probabl continue to annoy the other in this small way until the end of time. "Yes, Elliot. We really should."
Presley nodded, realizing that Elliot was saying there was something important for them to talk about, without other ears listening in. She could swear the two of them thought in almost exactly the same way. Not quite, because Presley was definitely less prejudiced than Elliot. Probably a result of their similar but different upbringings.
Did Erin really think that vegetables were better than Madam Primpernelles? "Of course not!" Erin said quickly. "Are you kidding me?" said the Ravenclaw eaglet rasing her eyebrow with a confused look, "Madam Primpernelles is the best." With that, Erin flipped out her hair and showed it to the two people in front of her, "Look at my hair. Isn't it gorgeous?" That one couldn't be denied. "I will say, greens do help in making our skin fairer but we still need to use artificial products for better results," Erin winked towards Ariadne. This girl should learn her lessons.
And now, moving on to Mordred, he was quite popular huh? Why didn't Erin met her before? "Well, do you know Beezus, she's my bestfriend and Mordred is her friend." Or special friend."D'you think he's not coming back this term?" asked Erin worried for her friend's happiness. Exaggerated much?

He's not going to talk about the unlucky comment? Well, he must be so ashamed. "So, I assume I can't call you the forever unlucky Hufflepuff?"
Oakey Gunter is in love! With Alyssa! Eeeeep!
"Oh.My.Merlin!" said Erin surprised and super happy. "You liked her! So, when did you start liking her? Does she already know?" asked Erin with wide twinkling eyes so happy for her friend Alyssa. "Did you know that she almost didn't came back at Hogwarts?" Well, once a stalker, always a stalker.
"A few hours?" asked Erin with raised eyebrow. "You're kidding right? Tell me, you're kidding," said Erin with a smile on her face. "This is a favor Mister! You owe me one. Big time."

SPOILER!!: Elliot
Elliot's head snapped to look at Presley. She then realized who it was, and suddenly smirked.
"Why,hello Presley," she began. She noticed that that girl was jogging. Some people just aren't as good at staying thin simply by doing nothing, like Elliot. Hmmm.
"Staying fit, I see," she commented, raising any eyebrow.
She then turned back to Hannah and gestured towards Presley.
"This is a good friend of mine, Presley Black," she said, raising her eyebrows and outing emphasis on Presley's last name, sending the girl a signal that Presley, too, was of noble blood.
She took her bracet back and stuffed it roughly in her pocket. She would throw it in a lake or something later ...
"Classes? Eh. I guess. But I'm a perfectionist, so I pretty much work my butt off all semester..." She replied. She was a smart girl, and learned quickly, but her seld discipline was strong and her need to have things perfect pretty much took over her school work.

Still keeping her eyes on Elliot. "It's the same for me. I take pride in doing well in school." She had been raised to excel in everything. She was sure that many of her classes would come to her naturally, but she would still get it her all.
Hannah turned her head towards the girl that Elliot was introducing her to. She took note on the emphasis that Elliot placed on the girls last name. Hannah wasn't sure if she liked the look on the girls face almost as if she was sizing her up. If Presley didn't know she would soon know that Hannah was not the one to mess with. It didn't matter what this girl thought of her. Hannah knew where she came from and who her family was. She didn't have anything to explain to her. She took her hand and shook it. "Pleased to meet you as well."

Well finally! It had taken long enough for the first year to shake Presley's hand. But Presley was going to be on her best behavior. It was odd, she supposed, but Presley knew very well that she acted differently around people similar to her family than she did around everyone else. If Lockwood had been a normal firstie, Presley would have happily introduced herself and asked if they were nervous for classes. But she was pretty sure Lockwood was raised in the same circles as Presley and Elliot, and they would all behave that way around each other.
Consequently, the first question out of her mouth was, "What stand do your parents take on the turmoil at the Ministry right now, Miss Lockwood?" That was a question that would be asked at a social that Presley would unwillingly attend. And it was a question she would ask to assure Lockwood that she was indeed of noble blood.
Mom says I have no sense of direction, so I packed my bags and right.
SPOILER!!: Newly found friend of a friend and new Crazy Ravenclaw

I well, um at the feast I guess. He told Erin. releasing his grip from Ari's. Why was he telling her this now, she doesn't need to know every darn thing about his crushes. That's for him to know...Wait what did Erin just say, Alyssa almost didn't come back! he was going to press her on this but decided against it. let Alyssa tell him, not Erin.
A-a-a favor? He stuttered. Big time? He turned to his new friend of a friend, Ari, who could prove to be a good friend in time. The back to Erin. Then back to Ari, looking for some kind of response from her. I guess so, I couldn't be that bad, what do you need me to do?
Elliot shot the girl a rare smile. "Too bad it isn't summer...we could have a tea luncheon," sje said with a laugh. She sounded so much like her mother at the moment, who was alwaus making tea dates. Alas , however, no tea dates here. Elliot quite enjoyed those.
Elliot observed the two, noticing how similiar they all were. all from wealthy families. Similiar ideals, and famous last names.
Whem Presley asked Hannah about the whole ministry thing, Elliot scowled.
"Oh, my father was a little unnerved. He said something about making his job harder...whatever that means!" She said with a shake of her head. She still didnt know what he did.
She looked at Hannah curiously and asked, "what do your parents do, Hannah? I dont think you ever told me!" It was an interesting enough question for Presley to know as well.

That excited? "Well, I'll be thinking about it. I have nothing on my mind yet," smiled Erin. Why was she so into favor issues? First, the new guy Julien and now this Oakey Gunter.

Ari felt like a big clumsy stupid troll for having asked that question, since Erin did look like someone fond of cosmetics. Nice going, embarrassing herself in front of someone younger than herself. 'Your hair does look nice, but don't you think looking natural is better?' So yeah, Ariadne was a bit pale and her hair didn't always look perfect, but she was pretty. At least that was what her mum told her.
'Beezus...' It did ring a bell. Oh yes! 'Is she in Ravenclaw too?' Gwen's annoying housemate? 'I honestly have no idea whether he'll be coming back or not, but I will write to him, the school owls should know where to find him even if he's not back.'
It was funny how Ari really liked Erin's company, despite the fact that she acted superior. Why was that? Hmm.

Ariadne had no idea who Alyssa was and didn't really care, so she kept busy with her own thoughts while the other two were talking, but came back to reality when she heard the word 'favour'. 'Noooo.' she said loudly. 'I hate owing people stuff and having to do them a favour. At least don't agree to it until you hear what it is.' the girl advised her new friend. 'Ravenclaws are very tricky.' she mouthed, hoping Erin wouldn't catch that.

She hasn't said anything yet. I haven't done anything to make her say anything Oakey didn't want to talk about Alyssa anymore Can we move on to the matter at hand and said pointing to his robe in Erin's hands now.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa? A waiting favor...So what? You hang on to my robe until I do this favor of yours that you haven't decided on yet.
Before he could close the deal with Erin Ari yelled a very loud "no" into his ear. The whole school could have heard it. Don't worry he mouthed back not making any eye contact with Erin. I've dealt with a Crazy Ravenclaw like her once Unsuccessfully, causing a broken wrist and a badly burned stomach, but it was a learning experience.
Ari was right though, he shouldn't go ahead with it until he knows what he's gotten himself into.
He could just as easily fix it with a flick of his wand. I'll do something now, or no robe fixing.
