Trying was only going to get her so far, though.
Oh. Ellie didn't look too happy. Indy frowned, hugging her friend close, before like dropping her arms away. The little hutchinson smiled at her Captain, kind of noticing her forced smile. Oh. Maybe Ellie didn't want her over here? Too late now. And she didn't really want to go and look like a loner on her own. Mmm. "Hii" She beamed at her friend. She could still be happy right?
"You okay?" She glanced around, before kind of looking at her very ravenclaw shoes. She didn't want to upset the girl, but like she didn't want her to be upset either. Hmmm. bad times.

Oh. Oh MERLIN. Emrys looked at his legs and his hands and tried to wipe his palm one more time before raising what was sure to still be a clammy palm to shake her hand. He could feel a flush starting at his neck and threatening to reach his ears and cheeks.
He gave it a quick shake and immediately pulled back. "I.. I don't like putting my finger in my eye," he mumbled.
Also, he didn't like how he looked without them, all beady-eyed rodent like. Blech.
"So, um," he tried to change the subject before he had to admit he'd poked himself in the eye with a wand trying to levitate the contacts in. "Who's playing?"
Phew. He was normal. Louisa shook his hand and then crossed her legs resting one elbow on top of them, holding her chin with her hand. What a relief to find someone to talk to instead of watching a bunch of people showing off their flyingbroomstick skills.
...poking his eye. She furrowed her eyebrows, not getting what he meant by that but she let it go. She would start a more interesting topic! Maybe discuss the Charms homework. Or Astronomy!
Not. Louisa glanced sideways at the Pitch and shrugged, "I have no idea, actually. I know Gryffindors are playing. Ravenclaws are not since it's my house and even if I don't really follow Quidditch, I would know if the team's in the locker room." Looking back at the boy- Emrys, she flashed a teasing smile, "You don't know either. I'm impressed." And a chuckle to show her sincerity. She never met a boy who wasn't gaga over Quidditch yet.
Ellie was usually very good at picking up jokes, too. Strange.
She wasn't much in the mood for small talk. Or any talk. To to even be out here. For once, she wasn't all that interested in the Quidditch match. But in an effort to be polite..."Who're you cheering for?"
Evelyn leaned back against her seat and continued to drink her coffee. Yep. It looked like the match was going to begin soon.
"Gryffindor..I think. Although, I don't mind if Slytherin wins either." Evelyn gave a small shrug. As long as her house wasn't playing, she didn't really mind. "You?"

Evelyn's eyes shifted towards a small girl who was hugging Ellie. Aw, how cute. Although, Ellie looked like..well, she didn't look happy. That was for certain. "Hello there." Evelyn gave a young girl a warm smile.

Why was she making that face? Emrys looked away, blinking and looking for an interesting knot in the wood. Swallowing, he nodded as he listened to her.
"Well, if Gryffindor is playing, and Ravenclaw isn't, then it's a 50% chance that it's either Slytherin or Hufflepuff, but the probability would be different if more variables were known like whether there are very excited students of a particular house around, who played in the last match, and after that it's just a logic puzzle with the known and unknown variables and.."
Oh. Oh not again.
"I mean," he said exaggeratedly, stretching it out, "who could know?" He laughed uncomfortably, clenching and unclenching his hands nervously.
He could feel the tingling in his neck and cheeks, and knew without a doubt that he was starting to get pink from embarrassment.

Mmmm. Gryffindor.
Ellie had nothing against the house, don't get her wrong, she just wasn't feeling like being very supportive of them lately. "Neither," she shrugged. Really, she was hoping for a stalemate of sorts.
She then turned her head to Indy, the pathetic excuse for a smile still on her face. Was she okay? No. Was she going to worry Little Hutchinson about it? No. "Don't worry about it." It was older-kids issues that the little girl needn't worry her pretty little head about.
Introductions. "Indiana, this is Eve. Eve...Indy."
And now they could greet each other while Ellie let her eyes drift down to the Pitch. Nearly time to start, yeah?

Louisa stared at the boy rambling. She didn't move or cut him off to comment or even show any expression on her face because he was talking like... her. Only with lower voice. Once he laughed, she beamed. "That's exactly what I think." Emrys. She was going to remember this name.
She scooted a bit closer, moving one arm over the heads of the crowd, "So, based on your analysis, we scan the crowd." And she did. Not that it did her any good. "We'll figure it out," she murmured after a moment or two missing his pink face.
"So what are you?" She started more enthusiastic again. Was he a Huffie? Personally, she wanted him to be a Ravenclaw since he was so interesting and non-Quidditch-ish. They could use boys without the title of dorks, a.k.a the yearbook editor.

Right. Quidditch.
Alec wandered down towards the stands, his hands clutching a bag that had quite a few things inside it. Like a bottle of water, some snacks and, of course, gummy bears!
Lucky gummy bears at that.
His eyes scanned the seats as he started looking around for an empty one. There seemed to be quite a few people here. Not a lot but... some. Some he did recognise though, and they got a small wave from the twelve year old.
Alec edged along a row of seats towards the middle of the stands and sat down. And yet, it was only now that he was realising just how hard cheering for this match would be. There was his best friend who would be playing amazingly. But then there was also one of his best guy friends... who would also be playing amazingly. And cheering for Hufflepuff was definitely not an option.

Lily, wearing her blue ravenclaw t-shirt, entered the stands and looked for someplace to sit. She saw Louisa, but her older ravenclaw friend was busy talking with a boy, so Lily decided to not bug them. She scanned the crowd and saw a couple ravenclaws, one of whom she recognized from the Quodpot game. Lily walked up the stairs and went over to them. "Um... Can I join you guys?..." Hopefully they would let her sit with them and she would be able to meet some more people from her house.
Initially Messer wasn't planning to come to this Slytherin vs Gryffindor match. He was planning to spend his day in the common room taking a nap or something but he remembered that Alec's girlfriend is playing today and since Messer is such a good roommate so he's here now rooting for Gryffindor. Yay Gryffindor!
As he made it to the stand, his roommate wasn't there yet. He just shrugged it off maybe he was with Anya now last minute support and such. Then he saw a very familiar red head. He gave the Claw captain a quick hello since she seems to be talking to the other Claw he didn't know. Sitting down, he pulled off his hoodie off.

Taylor havnet been to too many of the other houses' games so she thought she might come to this one. She walked to the stands and spotted Lily and Captain Ellie. "Hey Lily." Tay smiled then to the Captain and her group, "Mind if i join you too?"

"I'm sorry," he immediately started to reply, "I..." He paused, listening to her. "Wait, what?" He blinked and looked at her. She was... agreeing with him and proposing a way to gather more information. What..
Shaking the thought free, he followed her gaze. "Yes, scan, the, crowd." He snuck a glance at her as he scooted over on the bench so that their lines of sight were similar. He shrugged, when not apparent banners or raucous badgers or snakes were immediately visible.
"I'm.. a human," he said, confused, before remembering. Nearly a full term here, and he hadn't exactly gotten used to being defined by a house. Pinching the bridge of his nose with his fingers, he sighed. "Let me try that again," he muttered. "Ravenclaw, fifth year."

"Nice to meet you, Indiana." Evelyn smiled again. She shifted her coffee mug to the other hand before she extended her hand. "That's a pretty name."

Hadley made her way into the stands to watch the quidditch match and support the players. Though she was impartial to both teams playing, that didn't mean she shouldn't show her support for the school's athletes, right?
Of course right.
But where to sit. No doubts that sitting near Seren was not an option in today's match. The woman would improbably be loud and obnoxious whenever Gryffindor scored. Scanning the stands, Fina saw a cluster of Ravenclaw students and one redhead in particular.
"Miss Stone... Ellie..." Fina said, by way of polite greeting the captain, as she took the seat behind her. A nice impartial group to be sitting near, right? Hopefully.

Alec ruffled his hair as he looked down at the grounds. This was definitely going to be an interesting match. Either one of the teams could come and face him and the rest of the Hufflepuffs if they then beat the scary Ellie girl and her team. But... this wasn't something he should be worrying about. No no no. This was Keefer's job who... should be here, shouldn't he?
But before he could ponder on Keefer and his mysterious absence after practice, Alec's eyes landed on a flock of brown hair he knew too well. And this boy seemed to be wearing similar clothes to him! Kind of. They both had red and blue in there somewhere. Right. Time to annoy his roommate.
The twelve year old got up and made his way towards Messer, a grin slowly spreading across his face. Alec edged along the row before sitting down right next to the Chaser. He sat back in his seat and looked down at the grounds as the following words escaped his lips, "I see someone's decided to support Gryffindor as well."
"I'm sorry," he immediately started to reply, "I..." He paused, listening to her. "Wait, what?" He blinked and looked at her. She was... agreeing with him and proposing a way to gather more information. What..

Seriously this boy needed to be... less nice. Louisa didn't know how to act around nice people, she was too honest and reckless. Well that's what her stepdad kept repeating during her Christmas visit, which she believed strangely enough. Smiling and nodding at Emrys was the answer to his bewilderment.
Louisa laughed, her torso shooting forward too, before she saw him pinch his nose and 'try that again'. Oops, he wasn't joking. Well. It was funny and the serious tone he used cracked her up. Human. "I am a fifth year Ravenclaw too!" She grinned at him. If any of her friends saw her grin as much today, they'd sign her admission to St. Mungo's right away.
"How come I never saw you in the common room or one of the classes?" She raised her eyebrows at him. Louisa was almost sure that she knew every single student in her year. Being in the yearbook made it important.
By the Sound of the Crowd one could have easily been fooled that the match had already started, however, Trav knew otherwise.
Travis ran up the rickety stairs of the stands. The Stability of any set of wooden stairs in this school was questionable, but Trav always made sure to run up, before they collapsed. He walked into the sun to see a huge gathering of students all dressed to support their team of choice. Travis felt his face to make sure his fake moustache was still attached beneath his nose, he then clenched his eye around a rather nicely designed monocle. Yup, must dress the part for such a gentlemen's game.
Sure Trav was completely impartial today, but a nice game of Quidditch never hurt. There was no one there to root for, but then again, there were always those mischievous bludgers that added a nice touch of bludgeoning.
So here he was, rooting for the toughest player in the game. The only thing in the sky today that could take the most beatings and still fly around happily.
Trav reached into his pocket and took out a packet of Bertie Bott's Every Flavored Beans.
Lily, wearing her blue ravenclaw t-shirt, entered the stands and looked for someplace to sit. Oh. Someone else was talking to her now. And this person seemed to know Ellie too. Well that was perfect. Indy liked getting to know some of Ellie's friends, and then maybe she would be able to get more friends. Indy would like that. "Hii." Little Hutchinson beamed at this Eve. "It's nice to meet you." What a great place to meet really. The quidditch pitch was definetly only of Indy's favorite things. She really loved it. Not so much on nthe standss though, but it din't matter today. Ohh. Eve liked her name. "Er...thank you." Lots of people had comments about her name. Interesting.
Back to Ellie. She frowned watching her friend, but then shrugged and smiled. If Ellie didn't want to tell her then it was fine really. She didn't care too much. She had a game to watch after all. Oooh. Hadley was here. That was nice. "Hi Professor Hadley." The second year nodded with a smile.

Well this was a disaster, but at least she wasn't cruel about it. Hunching, Emrys set his elbows on his knees and put his chin on his hands. Turning his head a little bit to face her, he laughed. "You must think I'm a complete spaz." He sighed. "I'll save you the trouble. I am. Completely socially inept."
He smiled, sincerely this time, his eyes getting a little squinty as he did so. "I make it my personal mission to go unnoticed. Back corners of classrooms, no participation, that kind of thing." Staring back out over the pitch - surely the match was starting soon? - he continued. "I'm a transfer, and even though I swore to myself I wouldn't do my invisible student thing, as soon as I got here, I did."
Alec ruffled his hair as he looked down at the grounds. This was definitely going to be an interesting match. He looked down to the qudditch pitch hoping that Vindictus come out and start the game. Come one Professor start the game already!
Messer's eyes went toward the benches around him again searching for his roommate. Where's Alec? Don't tell me that he's not forget that his girlfriend playing today Hmm..But that's not possible since Messer was pretty sure that Alec already marked his calendar. Possibly with a heart shape. He felt that someone was sitting next to him, when he turned his head he saw the boy he was looking for. Speak of the devil!
Wait! Why they wore similar clothes? That's creepy. "Yes of course. Don't you know that Anya and I are go way back." SMIRK. "So yes, I'm rooting for Gryffindor. Yay Gryffindor! Yay Anya!"

WOAH. WAY too many people around her and nearly all of them were ravenclaws. It was weird because she hadn't seen many eagles in the stands when the Ravenclaws were playing against the Hufflepuffs. Yeah. Totally weird.
Heh. Evelyn was right. "You know what, Ellie? The match is about to begin so let's just enjoy ourselves, okay?" Yeah. Ellie was here to watch the match so she might as well have a good time instead of just brooding about whatever was bothering her.
Back to Indiana. Aw. This little girl was adorable. She reminded her of Tristan...who hasn't been seen in the past few days. "You're welcome. It's a little unique, isn't it?" Her name, that is.
"So, what year are you in?" Evelyn shouted a little, since the crowd was getting noisier by the second.

Seren was SUPER excited about todays match. It was Gryffindors chance to present a challenge to the Snakes. And of course, seeing as her daring Lions were hot on the tail of those slimy serpents, this match up was particularly important to her. Beating the Snakes was her terms objective.
"COME ON LIONS!" she cheered rather loudly, eyes intently focused on the blur of red and green as they zoomed after the quaffle, tossing and passing it between them.
She was already on the edge of her seat, no doubt endangering herself and increasing the risk of her falling on her bottom -- not for the first time this Quiddicth season.
Selena bounded to the stands, with a bright cheery smile on her face, pygmy puff on her head and a Slytherin flag in a hand. She waved it around as she looked for a seat. "Heeellloooo, hellloooo, hellloooo~" Selena said in a sing-song voice, before she realized that the game had started. Selena jumped and clapped her hands together. "YAAAAY GO SLYTHERIN!!!" she said, BEAMING from ear to ear. TAKE THAT you Gryffindors!!

Vashti wasn't really sure who to support in today's match, nor did she really feel like dressing up, so she came wearing a simple pair of jeans, a Ravenclaw T-shirt, and a pair of simple blue flats. She'd considered putting her hair up as well but decided against it quickly. She liked her hair much better when it was down.
But it seemed even without wasting a ton of time on her appearance, the stands were already filling up by the time she arrived. Well now, where was she going to sit? Since she wasn't really going to cheer on either team, she didn't want to sit with a bunch of crazy supporters - even though that was what most of the stands consisted of. But surely there were a few who, like her, weren't supporting either? Some of her fellow Ravenclaws, perhaps, or a few Hufflepuffs?
Hmm...
