"Ellie.." She began a little hesitantly. "I'm a little curious..um..you and Trey must have played against each other before, right? Erm..is it like..hard?" Ugh. That sentence didn't come out the way she wanted to. And, it wasn't ANY of her business but like she said..Evelyn was curious.

Eve's voice pulled her focus out of the match. Sort of. Out of the intense focus she decided to take up, at least.

"We have..." Where was that going? "Hard?" Ellie shrugged. "Not really. When he's Keeper, it's fine. When he's Seeker..." How often did she play against him? She could only remember once, though. And he'd given her THE Snitch he caught, which also suggests only once. "I don't know," she shrugged again, "It does suck to lose to him."

BUT. "But I've been eager to get back at him for it." And again, because it was her favorite question in the world, "Why?" Eve HAD said she was just curious, but there was always SOME kind of incentive behind questions, wasn't there?

And and and Ellie dug her teeth deep into her lip as her eyes followed the Seekers following the Snitch. Her face grimaced when they hit the snowbank. She knew what that felt like. And when the yellow fist went up, the Captain applauded. "Good job, Little Guy." And now, he was her enemy...sort of...in a way...so...

She was no longer so eager to meet him. Not yet.

Still watching, Fina jumped up onto her feet as she saw an arm clothed in yellow pump their fist into the air through the snow. That was it!! EEP!! "Awesome job, Badgers!" she hollered, locating an unhappy Williamson not too far off to which she furrowed her brow in confusion. He didn't strike her as a Gryffindor fanatic. Strange.

CRUD!!

It had completely slipped her mind that she'd have to play one of these teams. And...Merlin, she didn't want to go against that Hufflepuff First year. He had the advantage of being young and small and CRUD!

Ellie was going to have to practice so much now. SO MUCH.

If that Hufflepuff caught it. Actually, even if Gryffindor caught it. Because that would mean that THAT Seeker's more dangerous than she looks. Crud.

She....wasn't going to vocally cheer anymore. But...she still wanted Treyen's team to win. So, Go Hufflepuff. She just had to keep her focus on the important things now. The strategies and things.

And then a few seats away, Fina spot a familiar head of red hair. Ellie. And a sudden pang hit her in realization at the fact that her house would be up against Ellie's team in a few weeks.

But no, she wouldn't think of that. Not until the match day anyway. For now, she gave the sixth year captain a friendly smile. "That was a good match, wasn't it?"

Evelyn turned to watch the match again and YES! The seeker did it again! They won the match! OMG. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTT!

"WELL DONE, BADGERS!"Evelyn yelled. What a match!

Actually, no, no it didn't. "It's not like winning or losing a match is...personal or anything. I mean... I'll still...like...him, regardless." Even if he took the Snitch from right under her nose, it wouldn't change how she felt about him.

"Treyen isn't very serious about Quidditch, anyway." He took it a lot less seriously than she did. It was amazing, almost, how happy he could be even after losing. And Ellie knew that he'd be happy to see her win. It happened before, didn't it? The Championship match?

Yeah.

"Amazing!" Ellie agreed. "Did you see Treyen?!" Did Hadley see how AMAZING he'd been?

Wait. "You had no trouble following it, did you?" The redhead smirked. Hadley was learning! And the Ravenclaw was so proud.

Kurumi tried to stop playing with her bangs, but the nervous habit of hers had returned after the holidays. "How have you been?" Last time Kurumi and her had been talked had been during the entire thestral incident at the front gate and Forbidden Forest.

Now looking at both girls, Kurumi removed the lid to the box. "Cookies? They are Selina's favorite, red velvet." Which made her wonder if someone else had seen the note left for them on their bed.

Oh good, Kurumi didn't mind sitting with her! Vashti took a seat next to her, noticing at the same time how much Kurumi was messing with her bangs. "Your hair looks fine, you know," she said with a smile. That was what she assumed the reason why the Gryffindor kept playing with her bangs was. But how had she been? "I've been alright, I guess," she replied, which she thought was fairly accurate. She hadn't been great, but she wasn't feeling completely terrible either. Mostly she was just stressed, and that was mainly her own doing. "How about you?"

Cookies! "Ohh, these look amazing!" she said as she took one. "Thank you."

A few minutes later, as the game began, she started nibbling on the cookie, watching the game play out. It was a really good game, and especially interesting since she was sure she'd never seen Treyen play as a Chaser before. He was pretty good.

She clapped and cheered whenever either team's supporters did, keeping up her fairly neutral stance, though she cheered a little bit louder whenever the Seekers went into action. Considering both of them were first years, Vashti was extremely impressed by their skill. She knew without a doubt that in her first year she never would've been able to do that. She didn't think she could play Seeker even now, honestly, and she wasn't sure she ever wanted to try - at least, never in a match. Practice, maybe. But Ellie was a fantastic Seeker, so there wasn't any reason for her to try it.

But now, it seemed, Hufflepuff had won.

Ravenclaw's next game would be very interesting.

Um. She was a little surprised that Ellie was still talking about it. Did the question upset her or something? "Of course, you would. I was just..you know..thinking what it was like, that's all. I'm sorry if you felt bad or.." She really was.

"Huh, really? I suppose that's good." Obviously, it was better than taking it too seriously, right?

Of course the redhead would bring up Treyen. And of course Hadley would have noticed him. How could she not have? "He kept scoring! It was quite exhilarating. You must be proud of his talents as chaser, as well as Keeper." He did play Keeper before, yes? And she was sure that she wouldn't be able to play either half as well as he did.

Huh? Oh. "No!" She said, feeling slightly offended, but it passed quickly. "Actually ... today's match I thought went rather smoothly to follow..." She glanced down at the pitch for a moment at the players shaking hands and stuff. And then back to Ellie. "Eh... I really should get going and congratulate them all in the common room. See you." With that, the Arithmancy professor turned and headed from the stands.

Which, by the way, the redhead turned to Eve, "I'm going to try and catch Treyen outside of the Locker Room....I'll see you soon?" He'd be walking off the Pitch soon, and she had to get through the crowd, but she wanted to make sure she would catch him before he went into the Castle.

But...no one had seen her on a broom recently. Well, they HAD if they had been in the first Flying lesson of the term. You know, the lesson where she had hovered no more than 10 feet off the ground in? Well, things HAD gotten a little better once the flying squirrels had shown up.

"Oh, um...no...I've hung up my Seeker's uniform for good," she said with a forced smile. "There are people more suited to the uniform than I am."

Elise smiled back, but noticed that the smile the elder Gryffindor gave was forced. See, Elise? You just made her feel horrible. Real smart, Ellie. Real smart. She could actually imagine Elysia, all pink and scolding her.

"Well... I guess that's your choice,"
she smiled sheepishly, still feeling a little bad. "Those cookies look good, though!"

Speaking of Selina...Kurumi was a little worried about her. Perhaps she should have hung back in the girls' dormitory for a little longer...

"Thanks," Lilly smiled, shyly, taking one. *Crunch* Delicious. Kurumi was even better than Violet at baking. Well, she'd never seen Violet bake, but the Lioness had about a million people's word for it. Thinking of Violet, Lilly hadn't seen her sister for ages. Maybe she was still upset. But surely she'd come down for the match at least.

Now back to the game. Gryffindor lions, of course, looked the best with their bright red Quidditch robes. Perhaps she should have joined the team for it looked so fun to play. It was too late to decide now though and she was a busy little girl. Very busy. She needed to develop her magical power and knowledge first. That was vital to her.

Was she back to the game? Apparently she had decided that too early since some other person voiced her name. Narrowing her eyes a bit more, she smirked slightly upon seeing the other lioness. ''Hi, Lilly''

*smirk*

''Of course we are going to win. Those Huffies won't dare to act, otherwise...''

*smirk*

''...whatever.'' then she stared down at the hot chocolate. ''No, thanks. I prefer chocolate in some shape and...'' Wrackspurt? What was that? The way that the word sounded made Lea roll her eyes. ''Oh really? Why don't you just kill all of them?''

"Mmm," she nodded, vaugely. "My twin sister's in Hufflepuff. They'll never win. You seem enthusiastic," Lilly smirked, remembering Lea's Gryffindor shout. But it was good to see house spirit. "Do you play quiddich?"

"Shape? You mean like chocolate frogs? Because I've got some.." she said, rummaging in her pocket and holding out two slightly squished chocolate frogs. Lilly was like the "Chocolate Woman" now. "You've never heard of them?" she raised an eyebrow. "You can't just KILL wrackspurts," she rolled her eyes. "Much too fast for us. And, it would be mean. They're creatures too. You don't go round killing hippogriffs, do you?"

Hufflepuff vs Ravenclaw match starts here :D

Kurumi really didn't want to be here, and the tugging on the sleeves to her sweater made this fact rather obvious. The only reason she was here at all was because Treyen and Lewis had each asked her to. When Treyen had asked, she still wasn't too sure that she would go. She didn't feel like she really owed him any favors, which was rather unfair considering all that he had done for her, but she just willing to listen to what he said. After all, he did side with the girl who had such a low opinion of the Gryffindor that she assumed Kurumi would try to steal Treyen away and throw Jonathan to the side like he was nothing.

Nope. Kurumi's opinion of both of them had changed.

It wasn't until Lewis had asked her if she was going to the match that she had a change of heart and, well, he was the reason why she was here in the stands now.

Seeing that there was no one else around, Kurumi found a seat towards the front of the stands and sat down. Hopefully some other people would show up soon. Empty stands for a Quidditch match was just...odd...

Jessiqua 03-03-2012 11:15 AM

Zhenya made her way up the stands. She had decided to go rather neutral, though in her heard she wanted the Claws to win. So when it came to shouting, it would be CLAWS!

She was a bit chilly, so she pulled out her flask of hot chocolate, with her packet of mini marshmallows. It was great, and she shivered slightly as the drink warmed her up.

Daydreamer11 03-03-2012 01:20 PM

Alex arrived at the Quidditch pitch and noticed only a few students in the stands. She had missed the last Ravenclaw match and was really excited to see this one. "Well, I guess I pretty much have my choice of seats", she thought to herself. She didn't see anyone she knew so she found a seat halfway up in the stands. She made herself comfortable and waited.....

Lady of Light 03-03-2012 01:34 PM

Evelyn was excited. Like, really excited. She'd been waiting for this match since ages. Evelyn still remembered how amazing the earlier match was.

With a large smile on her face, Evelyn who was dressed in yellow and with a mug of piping hot coffee in her hand, made her way to the middle of the stands and took a seat. She took a sip of the drink before yelling, "GO BADGERS!!"

Lewis was nervous. Again. He doubted he'd ever NOT be nervous before a Quidditch match. At least he had started to believe that it wasn't a mistake he was on the team in the first place. He hadn't been that bad last time. They had won after all. And he hadn't dropped the Quaffle. Or collided with anybody. Or anything. Not that that did anything to calm his nerves this time.

Making his way to the stands - it didn't really matter WHERE he panicked, right? - some time before the match, Lewis smiled when he saw that Kurumi was one of the few who were already there. So she HAD come after all. Even though she had been quite hesitant at first. Not that he knew why. But according to her it didn't have anything to do with him. Which was...comforting.

He had already changed into his Quidditch uniform and was passing his gloves from one hand to his other a little anxiously. "Hey." Lewis greeted Kurumi with a smile, standing close to where she was sitting. "I'm glad you came." Hey, that was like a déjà-vu, wasn't it? Was that what he was always going to say to her when they met now?

Kurumi had sort of been zoning out just staring at the pitch and wondering if anyone else from her house was going to show up. She was sure that Selina would be along shortly to simply observe and perhaps pick up and throw at the team at a later practice. Kurumi almost found herself missing the sport, being on a broom. Wait, that wasn't right. Being confident while on a broom was a feeling she missed. Now, every time she so much as looked at a broom she got nervous and shook like a leaf.

And then, she heard a voice that she wasn't expecting to hear right now. "Lewis?" she asked, cocking her head to the side in confusion. "Wait, shouldn't you be on the pitch doing last minute practicing or in the locker room doing...whatever it is your team does?" Yoga was it? At least Kurumi remembered Keefer going on and on about yoga during one of their prefect and captain meetings a while back. "Not that I'm not happy to see you or anything like that." Because she WAS happy to see him, just a little confused.

Okay. She didn't seem to be THAT excited to see him. Uhm. "I-" Kurumi was probably right actually. But he'd been the first one in the locker room earlier so they still had time. "I don't know...?" A little unsure now himself, Lewis moved to stand by the banister to look down onto the pitch as if he could find answers down there. Which he couldn't. There as absolutely nothing going on down there yet.

Lewis turned back around to face Kurumi, biting his lip a little. Well, he could do some sort of preparations for the match up here too right? Taking a hold of the banister with one hand, he grabbed his left leg at the ankle with his other hand and started stretching the back of his thigh. While at the same time looking like he knew exactly what he was doing. "Soooo...who are you rooting for then?" He asked, completely oblivious to yellow part of her sweater.

Oops. Clearly Kurumi had said something wrong again. She really ought to put her filtering system up and...not been so blunt about it? All Kurumi knew was that Selina would have been freaking out if she hadn't been in the locker room the entire time before a match. Granted, she had been the Seeker and her missing threw the entire team in a panic, but Lewis was also a valuable member of the Hufflepuff team and his absence was probably a little startling. Maybe? When he said he didn't know, she couldn't help but laugh airly like a pixie. "Well, as long as you won't get in trouble." Keefer didn't seem the sort to get mad though, so probably all was well. "Actually...since you are here...I have something for yo---"

But then Lewis was walking towards the banister and Kurumi simply sat watching him for a moment. Some sort of pre-match routine perhaps? To each their own. And since he wasn't sitting down... "For you," she said with a smile as she stood up and walked over to the banister as well, meaning that she was rooting for Hufflepuff, of course. She just wanted to see the Ravenclaw captain upset and her pride bruised. Kurumi even pointed to her yellow sweater for a little bit of added emphasis.

This time he at least knew why she was laughing. And it made him smile a little too. To be honest, he probably SHOULDN'T be up here. And he wasn't entirely sure he wouldn't get in trouble. But then again, he had been early. And he'd already changed too. He only had to go get his broom and then he was ready to go. Or as ready as he could be anyway.

Why hadn't she finished her sentence? Lewis looked at her with his eyebrows raised expectantly for a moment, hoping she would finish it. He was completely taken by surprise by her answer to his question however. Just staring at her for a moment, Lewis dropped his leg quite suddenly. "You...me...what?!" He stuttered, blinking a couple of times. What was she talking abou-

Oh. Her sweater was quite yellow. Black and yellow. Which were the Hufflepuff colors. "Oh." She was rooting for 'you', plural you. Them. Blushing a little, Lewis turned to gaze down onto the pitch again, not really knownig what to else to say.

Kurumi began to rummage through her pockets for a few moments looking for what she had just hinted at when she remembered that they weren't in her pockets but in her bag, so she scurried over to it and removed one of two small boxes from it. She hadn't baked them with the purpose of giving them to the team, but since Lewis was here... "Um, Lewis, here," she said as she handed the box to him. "As a sort of pick me up before the game." Had she known he would be here she might have baked a cupcake for Treyen since he was sort of against cookies, but no matter. She didn't usually bake for other houses when it came to Quidditch, reserving that for her own house and sending the baked goods with August since Selina couldn't be trusted to not eat them all before arriving in the locket room, but she felt like giving them this time even if they had been meant for the spectators. "Or...for good luck." Whichever he preferred really.

When he turned away, Kurumi titled her head to the side again. He certainly seemed to be looking down at the pitch a lot. Was he nervous? Then again, he always seemed to be rather nervous around her. Was she intimidating? She didn't mean to be if she was, especially not to Lewis. His 'Oh' didn't sound all that happy either. "Would you rather I was rooting for Ravenclaw?" she asked teasingly, sticking her tongue out. Yeah, right, THAT would be the day.
