Sammy was excited. Yes there always seemed to be plenty of parties at Hogwarts but this one she knew about BEFORE it happened. She'd found out this morning and had shamelessly spent the whole organising herself ... and on tumblr. She had told Amy she better get her butt to the party but didn't actually know if she would pull through, she was still going nuts about the curly haired guy with the weird name. So when she made her way to the party the biggest struggle was getting in. No matter how times she thought FOR MERLIN'S SAKE YOU WALL, LET ME IN! it wouldn't. She had occasionally heard that you had to be specific with the door but Sammy didn't do specific very well. People just had to know what she was talking about.

Or walls.

When it had finally let her in she was blinded by purple-ness. Trust Nessie to do that. She was going to be seeing purple for weeks! Oh well. Purple wasn't such a bad colour. At least it wasn't ... brown or something. Looker around she noticed that she, thank Merlin, wasn't the first one. In fact she was possibly one of the last. And she couldn't exactly use the "fashionably late" excuse because she'd spent two minutes picking out her outfit.

Soon enough she spotted Nessie, in purple. Of course. Typical Nessie. Right there. She quickly made her way over to the birthday girl, holding a small birthday bag that she had filled with all sorts of sweets from Honeydukes. Creeping up behind the girl she yelled "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" happily, then holding out the small bag to her, she knew Nessie didn't want anything BUT TOOOOOOOO BAD. It was her birthday, she was having Sammy's present.

She almost screamed as equally as loud as he had. Lately she had taken to almost throwing him over with a hug, an they had gotten better over the past few months. He was surprised for the most part that she had decided on hugging him, Adam hadn't been the greatest to her lately, an she was beginning to lose her trust in him. But, that didn't matter at the moment. It was Nessie's birthday he should be happy an she shall too, it was only a fact.

Adam grabbed the bracelet an put it on her wrist an set the strap to be tight, not too tight, just enough so that it wouldn't fall off while she was dancing. That would be a disaster. "There you go. An, you noticed, it's purple." If he hadn't come in purple, the best he could've done was get her something purple, it was better than nothing. He then looked down at his attire when she seemed kind of disappointed in his choice of clothing. "Sorry I couldn't find anything purple. I'd look like a glow stick." Or one of those circus animal ring leaders in their sparkly purple, red, green outfit with their black 'wand' at their side. "But, I look ok, right?" He asked.



Adam's stomach lurched when he saw Ellie walking in. He should've expected this but she was still there. He began to scuttle away to a far corner of the room where it was more enveloped in darkness, somewhere he could hide. It's not that he didn't want to see her, but staying away was the best thing.



Then he spotted someone he wasn't too nervous talking to. Making sure of his steps an distance from Ellie, Adam made his way over to Kurumi. "You're looking..pretty." Adam spoke up slowly at Kurumi. It was hard to say it since he had never properly seen her dressed up in a elegant manner before. It was something different, but nice all the same.

Even though the Ravenclaw common room wasn't that far away from the Room of Requirement, Vashti felt like she was running late. She'd sort of lost track of time while getting in some more studying for her NEWTs, but at least she had gotten herself ready for the party before then. That probably saved her some time - hopefully it was enough so that she wouldn't be late.

After walking by the entrance to the room was (or would be) the required three times, she turned and opened the door, pausing when she was met by a VERY purple room. It wasn't like she hadn't expected it - she'd heard that Nessie liked the color, and Vashti had even decided to wear a purple dress she happened to have since she quite liked the color too, but she still hadn't expected there to be SO MUCH of it. It was pretty though, at least.

And...was that FOOD over there? Junk food at that?! YESSS.

But first, to find the birthday girl and to see if there were any other people she recognized here.

Oakey had forgotten about Renesmee's hugs, they were always long and well he could tell how she was feeling with each one she gave. This one was a tight squeeze, she's definitely happy. Good Oakey thought to himself.

but before he could continue talking with her she walked off...He looked over at the other boy standing next to him then down at his feet then back to him. This was really awkward. Hey... he said to the other boy ...I'm Oakey



Hey Alyssa! What's up? He smiled and waved to her, He had almost forgotten that the two girls knew each other.

Oh Hey Kurumi He waved to her as well trying to grab her attention. This is the first time I've seen Kurumi while she isn't casting a spell at me Oakey had thought for moment.The two of them had been on opposing sides for to long and could actually be really good friends.

Oakey looked around for a moment and noticed a lot of Renesmee's other friends were wearing purple...He looked around the room and it was PURPLE. Gah! Oh no! Because he just guessed that Renesmee was having her party here he hadn't found out it was a PURPLE THEMED PARTY! He looked down at his clothes. taking out his wand he transfigured his clothes he was wearing to all be purple...jeans included.

Kurumi looked down at herself and blushed. It was getting surprisingly easier to walk around in heels, but she still didn't see herself wearing them all the time. "Oh, um, thank you," she blushed again, gesturing towards Nessie. "And you look lovely as well. Very grown up." It was weird how fast things were happening. It still only seemed like just yesterday she was entering Hogwarts for the first time as a first year and now...well...she was getting closer and closer to being sixteen.

In the next instant Kurumi was giggling a bit. "Of course you can," she nodded. It would be silly to leave it in its box for the entire party, right?
Kurumi...hadn't been expecting this. Not Adam being here, but him complimenting her. Her cheeks flushed an slightly brighter shade of pink and she fussed with the hem of her dress again. "T-Thank you," she said, with a small bow of her head and averting her eyes from his.
When the music grew louder, Kurumi couldn't help but feel like this was some sort of cruel joke being played on her. Here she was standing next to Adam Burn who, according to the latest gossip, was back to his skirt chasing ways and the environment implied that people should be dancing. She hadn't danced with Adam since, well, since the costume ball during her first year.

Feeling ridiculously awkward and sort of wishing Jonathan had decided to come Kurumi swayed on the spot.

But then Oakey waved at her and she forgot at least some of her awkwardness. "Hey Oakey," she smiled, offering him a friendly wave back.

Nate looked at Jez, slightly shocked. "Love? You love me?" he asked. He didn't even know that the word 'love' was in Jez's vocabulary! Seemed like it was. "Yeah, I love you too," he whispered back, followed by a short kiss on the ear he had whispered to. It was the closest thing to his lips, anyway...

Nate was glad that Pam was finally--wait a minute...--Pam was smiling?! "Finally!" Nate inadvertently yelled out, beaming over at his friend. It really was the first time he had seen her smile in, oh, a year?

Zayden kept his hand squeezing his girlfriend's up until that very moment when Amelia went to give Nessie a hug; that was when he let go and used both his hands to hold the flowers. During that moment when the two girl's were hugging, his green eyes scanned the area around him. "Beautiful," he spoke up to Amelia, "I would like to dance with you." He wasn't the best dancer around but oh well.

... and he had heard that mumble! THEREWASAMUMBLE! "Nessie," he said, "I know you didn't want any presents and, if it makes things better, the flowers are a symbolism of gratitude." If that even made sense. "Don't look at them as a present." He winked at her now then his lips formed into a grin. "I'm glad you like them."

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! ELLIEEEEEE! CUPCAKEBUDDY! He turned around now to come face to face with his friend. "Ellieee!" He exclaimed. "I was wondering where you were!" And merlin, he could see the cupcakes at the table once more. Just the thought of the delicious cupcake made his stomach growl -- which was strange because he was hardly that hungry! "We should go eat some cupcakes... and catch up with one another."

Amelia looked back at her boyfriend now and smiled without even thinking. It was a normal reaction for her upon seeing him, as were the butterflies she felt in her stomach.

"Oh, I'd love to dance, Zay." She pulled away from Ellie and grabbed his hand again, squeezing it.

He was hers, and she was staying right by him for as long as she could tonight.

Beezus hurriedly placed on the strap of her purple wedge sandals, grabbed one of her shoulder bags and darted out of the Common Room and halted in front of the tapestry. After going around it thrice, she concentrated hard on what she wanted to see when she opens her eyes. 'Please, send me off to Nessie's birthday party..I'm very late..' she requested mentally.

And thank you Merlin, for when she opened the door that had appeared before her, the eaglette was greeted by loud music and a very purplish dance floor with neon lights. She was in a party alright. Immediately, her eyes roamed the room for any signs of the celebrant. After a few minutes, Beezus saw Nessie talking to a few people. She walked towards the crowd and slipped her arm in the celebrant's right arm. "Happy Birthday!" said Beezus, beaming.

Elise bounded into a very purple room, full of very purple people. Looking down at her dress, she realized that it was barely purple and just bordering on blue. That depended on the lighting, of course. And this lighting made it look purple good.

The box in hand, she ran over towards Nessie. She didn't look too busy, so she bounced on the balls of her feet with her present in hand. Beaming, she waved. "Happy Birthday, Nessie," she smiled, holding out the present.

"Can... Can I hug you?" she asked, completely at random. Cause... Well, everyone needed a hug on their birthday!

Pam quickly turned around, her smile not fading. "Thank you, both of you." She felt happy for once. She felt happy, and loved, and important. And for once, she was glad Nate and Jez had eachother. But she really wished she could have someone like that. Someone who would be able to hold her when she cried. But she didn't dwell on that long. Not now.

As she turned back to her ghostly friend, the music changed. She didin't know if it was because the room knew they didn't want to stop, or because everyone here wished for it never to end. But another slow song came on. Pam knew it, but only barely.

A card too? That was even more sweet, Nessie really appreciated how Mia hadn't gone out of her way to get her a present. She liked the fact the Mia's present was free and at the time really special.

"You really didn't have to." she said with a small giggle. "But thats really kind of you." After all Mia was very kind, and she was also a true Badger.AWWWW!! Alecutie was here! Good he had found he's way. Nessie couldn't help but grin as she saw the little firstbie. He was so nunu, and adorable, and he always seemed to make Nessie happy even just looking at he's cute face made her smile. "Alecutie!!" Bending down quite a bit she gave the little firstie a hug, and then once she stood up she noticed that he too had a present.

What was it with these people? Did they not know what 'no presents' meant? Or maybe they didn't understand English, because honestly almost every person had some sort of a present. Even earlier that morning, Kita had send her an amazing present by owl. It was a little pathetic how many presents she had gotten, when she really wanted none.

She'd be clever with Alec though, she wouldn't accept he's present so easily. "I'll only accept your present on one condition?" she gave him a little smirk and looked at he's adorable little cheeks.Nessie had been fairly busy talking with people, which was why she got the fright of her life when someone shouted 'Happy Birthday' from behind her. She jumped from the surprise, but then once she recovered she turned around to see one of her good friends. "Sammy!, glad you could make it." Ness gave the older badger a hug. She had been giving and recieving so many hugs today, which Nessie thought absolutely awesome. She loved hugs, they always cheered her up.

Meh, Ness had given up with the whole presents story. She happily took the present from Sammy and gave the girl a sweet grin. "Thank you, I guess..you really didn't have to get me anything though." Either way, Ness was okay with it.There we go, it looked perfect with what she was wearing. She'd keep it on all the time, so she'd remember how awesome and special her big 'brother' was. "Yeah, I did which is why I love it." He had definitely made a good choice with he's present. "I'm never going to take it off, I'm going to where it all the time." She'd even wear it whilst she was sleeping, not that she did sleep much anyway.

A glow stick? How would purple do that? Oh well..it was better than thinking purple made people look like plums. Ness sighed as she looked at her dress again. She didn't look like a plum did she? Maybe she did, she bit her lip. "I look like a plum, don't I?" Adam would be honest right? He's better be or she'd get really upset with him. And as for him, she looked up and down at he's clothes. "Nope..you needpurple." she mumbled and before he could say anything she took out her wand from her small clutch and aimed it at he's tie. "mull-tee-COR-fors" She said imagining purple in her mind, and then all of a sudden he's tie turned into purple. She had learned the spell from a friend and it seemed to work very well. "Thats better." she gave him a little nod.

Nessie still had this huge urge to dance, and it seemed to be growing bigger, she could feel it. "Ummm...wannadance?" she mumbled going red in the cheeks. It would be just a tad awkward dancing with Adam, but she felt it might just might help her get back into dancing properly.Another Ravenclaw had arrived, It was the Head Girl, Vashti, looking very pretty in purple. Ness walked over to where Vashti was and gave the older girl a small hug. She wasn't that close to Vashti and it would have been awkward to give her one of her usual long hugs. "Heyy..Miss HeadGirl." she said with a little giggle. She just loved teasing the Headboy and Girl, it was so much fun even if they were both older than her.

"Glad you could make it." she gave the girl a small wink. Nessie hadn't realized how many people she actually knew at Hogwarts. She could probably even say that she was just a tiny bit popular, which she thought was fairly cool. It was way better then her muggle school, and that was for sure.Kurumi was such a blusher, it was kinda funny. Almost any compliment you gave Kurumi, made her blush..or at least that was what Nessie thought. "Just being honest." she said with a small wink. The compliment she had recieved from Kurumi really got to her. Grown up? She was only fourteen, but she supposed that she had after all grown quite a bit since her first year, and not just physically but emotionally too. "Thats one of the nicest things, someone's told me. " said Nessie with a wide smile. "I'm still your littlesisterright?" she lowered her voice a little.

Yaaay! She got permission. Holding th box in her left hand, Nessie used her left to open it and then peeked inside. It was AMAZING! and purple! Nessie's face immediately lit up with a huge smile. "I LOVE it Kurumi, Its so Purrplee! " Now Nessie was getting just a bit over excited."Thanks..we'll definitely use it for later." Now Nessie couldn't wait to do the cake part of her party, but it be a while till then, so she thought it be best to put the cake down in the meantime. 'Im..gonna go put this on the table Kay?" No one would touch the cake in the box till they were allowed to right?Gratitude? But what did he have to be gratefull for? It wasn't like Ness had done anything special for him, either way they we're too pretty not to accept them. "I'll try not to."She gave him a small wink. No that it made sense, because it was a present, but whatever. She'd keep them just to make sure she wouldn't hurt anyone's feelings, and also because she liked the flowers..a lot.

They we're a cheery and happy color, which was what Nessie had been feeling quite often lately. "I'm glad I do too, I think I'm gonna put them on my bedside table." She gave a small nod as she thought of where to position them, so they'd look pretty.Talking, Talking and more talking. That was basically all Nessie had gotten to do till now. It was when she felt a someone's arm link into hers, that she turned around to see tha Beezus had arrived. It was so overwhelming how many people were there. "Thank you!" She gave the girl a little grin and then pulled her into a hug. "I'm so happy you came." It must have the a milionth time she had said that, tonight, but she really was happy that everyone had come.

"You look, pretty." she said only now getting a chance to see what Beezus was wearing. Purple suited her, well purple suited almost everyone except boys as was according to Tom. Thinking of Tom, where was he anyway? He said he'd come didn't he?And now Elise was here too, this party really was full of awesome people. Nessie grinned at second year. "Thank you, I'm glad your here." she had said feeling like a broken record repeating itself again, and again. Here we go again, Nessie looked at the box Elise held out to her. Merlin she was getting plenty of presents. "You really didn't have to, but thanks I guess." said Nessie accepting the gift with a sweet smile.

Okay? That was a bit of an odd question, but seeing as Nessie loved hugs A LOT, she didn't mind. "Yeah Course you can." And with that, Nessie wrapped her arms around the younger Ravenclaw, in a big hug.

Alyssa smiled her biggest smile which was only reserved for certain people and Alec was definitely one of them. She was absolutely delighted to see the younger boy and knowing how he must have felt out of place hanging out with the older students, quickly went over to join him as he gave Nessie is gift. She gave him wink when he told Nessie that he had forgotten that she didn't want one. They had both conspired to ignore that wish. Then Alyssa went over and gave him a bug hug resisting the urge to pinch his cheeks. "Alec!! I'm so glad to see you here. You're looking really cool in that suit you are wearing. You're going to have a lot of girls wanting to dance with you. [/b]"

Then on cue the music started. Grabbing Alec's hand, she dragged him to the dance floor dance and started to dance. "Come on, Alec. Dance. Shake that booty," Alyssa laughed over at him.



"Hey there, Oakey. Come on over and join us. The music's great."Alyssa called out to him.

Oakey smiled when he saw Kurumi waved back. Then he heard Alyssa call him over the dance floor! I'm coming! I'm coming!
He rushed over and stood still for second as if he were a robot turned off. Then He heard the bass drop and got into his groove.

"Finally!" a voice said as the door opened. Goodness! That seriously took forever to find. Why did she tell Alec she'd be able to find it on her own? But she finally arrived.

Anya was NOW at the party. Woo hoo!

In her hand she held a bag of gummy bears. Okay... so she was told not to bring any presents. But she felt a little weird showing up with nothing to a birthday party of a girl she barely knew.

So she decided on a happy medium. She'd share gummy bears. That way she wouldn't technically be bringing a gift.

Now... where was the birthday girl?

Alec grinned at Ness. Alecutie was a nickname that only Ness used. Why? Because she was the one who came up with it. And, as much as he didn't like to admit it, he did kind of like that name. He was getting used to having Ness call him that now. No one was going to know about this!

And now Ness seemed to be hugging him. Girls did that a lot, didn't they? Alec wrapped his arms round Ness and hugged her back. "Happy birthday, pretty Ness," Pretty Ness... Prettiness... Coincidence? "How's your day so far?" She must have had an awesome day! Coming to a party where someone had decorated the room perfectly for her.

Alec blinked. One condition... What did Ness mean when she said that? "And what would that condition happen to be?" he asked, smiling at her. As long as he didn't have to do anything that would make him look like a fool, he was fine.



Out of the corner of his eye, someone seemed to be smiling at him. Alec turned his head and grinned at the older girl. Lyss! Another fellow Quidditch player and someone who liked to pinch his cheeks as well. What was it with girls and cheek pinching? At least Anya didn't do that. All she did was kiss him.

Speaking of Anya... where was that girl? But before he could have a proper look around, he felt arms wrap themselves around him. Another hug from another girl. Girls were weird creatures. He hugged Lyss back and grinned. "Hey Lyss," he said, "Enjoying the party?" It was a pretty nice party.

And then the compliments started rolling. Really? What he was wearing was that... nice? "Thanks, Lyss," he said, "You look pretty in your dress." All girls looked pretty in dresses and heels. ... Huh? "I doubt that," he snorted, "No girl would want to dance with a guy who has two left feet."

O_O Lyss... was dragging him... to the dance floor? And talking about shaking his WHAT?! His booty was his bottom, he knew that. But dancing? With Lyss? "Erm, i'm not good at dancing, Lyss," he said, grinning sheepishly, "Mr two left feet, here."



Seeing the number of older people at this party, Alec usually wouldn't have turned around at the sound of someone else entering the room. But it was the person's voice that made him turn his attention away from Lyss and the dancing. His grey-blue eyes searched the crowd until they landed on...

ITWASHISBESTFRIEND!

Alec grinned his biggest grin ever. She had made it! And... she was wearing a dress. Did anyone even tell her that she looked pretty in a dress? Because she did. And this had to be another one of those dresses she was surprising him with.

"ANYA!" Alec yelled, waving his arms up in the air. Now he had someone else to talk to as well. And maybe he could get Anya to dance and they could do one of their crazy dances. Ness would probably like that.

Aaron made his way into the room of requirement, better late than never huh? A party was a party after all. But this wasn't just any party. It was his fake sister's party. So he was pretty much obliged to go, right?
He grinned and ran over to Nessie, hiding a large and badly packed package behind his back.
'Neszilla!' He pulled her into a weird one armed hug. 'Happy biiiiiirthday.'

He then spotted everyone's purpleness. Aaron stared down at his own sloppy outfit. Right. Old non purple clothes.
'Eh... I was meant to be purple, wasn't I?' Like a berry. Or something. He shrugged and stuffed the lumpy package into her hands, a grin on his face. 'Cool eh?'

Aaron noticed Alyssa and rushed over, hugging her. He felt like he hadn't seen her in AGES.
'Hiyaaaa.' he turned to look at the boy she was talking to. Who was he? 0___o How could he still not know all the students and all that? 'Hi there.'

Sammy grinned as she hugged Nessie back. Most people didn't like her hugs, mainly because they were usually extremely unexpected and knocked them over ... like bowling pins. Which was weird because Sammy sucked at bowling, maybe she'd just have to start human bowling? Anyways. "Yeah, I'm glad too. The door wouldn't let me in" she said with a small frown btu quickly went back to her grin. There was something else she had to tell Nessie. What was it? It had something to do with someone coming to her party. What was it? OH YEAH "Also, I don't know if Amy will remember to come, even if I badgered" witty play on words. I'm hilarious "her all day, I don't think she was really listening" she blabbered with a small shrug.

DIDN'T HAVE TO GET HER ANYTHING?! Ridiculous. "I don't care, it's your birthday so I got you something" she said "I had a cousin that always told us not to get him anything every single year and one year we didn't and he cried for like a week" she said in a knowing voice. It probably hadn't been a week, she had only seen him for the day of his birthday and he cried most of that day so a week, yeah?

Alyssa laughed when she saw Oakey dance. He wasn't that bad a dancer at all. Alyssa joined him as the music boomed on.



Alyssa first heard him before she felt his arms around her hugging her. She could never forget that voice or those arms. It felt like AGES since she last saw him. She smiled her biggest smile again. AARON WAS HERE!! Alyssa turned around hugged him back. "I'm so glad that you could come. I've missed you so much."Alyssa told Aaron kissing him on the cheek. She then took his hand and turned around back to Oakey who was still dancing.

"Aaron meet Oakey. He's the guy I was telling you about who wants to form a cheer leading team for our House. I told him that you are our official House Mascot," Alyssa introduced Aaron to Oakey. She was so happy now that Aaron was here with her.



Alyssa turned her head to notice that Alec had left them and was running to a younger pretty girl who has just entered the room. It was Anya. Alyssa smiled. They were soooooo cute together.

Squeee! It was Anya's bestest friend in the whole entire world! AlecBlakeSummers! Seriously. They just needed to forget homework and quidditch practice and just see each other all the time. She couldn't stand this whole not seeing each other every second of every day thing.

She ran over to the boy that was jumping up and down for her. She then threw her arms around him. "I made it! Finally! I kind of got lost... multiple times." Yeah... she needed a map. Or an Alec. "You really should have just come to get me." They'd have to remember that for next time.

"So what do you think?" she asked stepping back and twirling. "It's another secret outfit." And she was wearing her new necklace too! Did he notice?

"Oh. And where's the birthday girl? I brought gummy bears." she said nodding toward her hand.

"I'm glad you like it." He said smiling, but on the inside he was throwing a fist punch in happiness, he finally found a great present someone actually liked. It was rare he ever did that.

Then she had one of those worried looks an Adam looked back at her with furrowed eyebrows. Look like a plum? Of course not. The only person that would end up looking like a plum was the girl from Charlie in the Chocolate Factory, an besides Nessie was skinny, so she really didn't fit the look. "No. You don't look like one." Adam answered her truthfully. She always seemed to worry about her image. An after her question of looking like a purple plum she took it into her own hands to transform his suit. He looked down at his completely purple blazer,pants,shirt an shoes, one eyebrow raised. "I guess I can survive one day wearing all purple." Adam muttered.

His face went completely red, matching the color of his hair as he began to shuffle back an forth an spoke in stutters. "Da-da-da-dance? Wi-wi-with me? Umm..I thought-I thought you-you- might be saving a dance for...T-T-Tom?" A 'brother an sister' dancing, an she seemed just as nervous about it as he did.



Why was her skin turning pinkish? Even in the dark light it was kind of noticeable. He just watched her as she thanked him for the compliment. "Your welcome.." Adam was going to kill Nessie for the music. They were just standing there together, kind of quiet an the music came on. An, Jonathan wasn't there either, at least not yet, Nessie must've done this to them on purpose. He kind of looked at Kurumi with a anxious expression like he wasn't sure what to do about this all. "Err...Music.." He mumbled over the blaring noise.

Yep. There was music alright. Kurumi sort of just stood there, arms folded across her chest and her right hand idly playing with the necklace around her neck. This better not have been Nessie's idea of matchmaking, because Kurumi might start to share the same opinion of her as Jonathan did.

Kurumi glanced over at Adam again. Maybe she was being too hard on him when she usually always forgave him instantly in the past. The school's gossip rag had dug into him and she felt a little sad about that. Then again, Hufflepuff house had gotten the worse of it all...maids. hehe. It had made her giggle to read that.

Swallowing her pride as best she could, Kurumi faced Adam. "Do you...want to..." she asked, her words trailing off a bit. Yes, Adam Burn, this was a pathetic attempt at a peace offer. NOTHING more.

But then Nessie asked if he would dance with her and her arms dropped down to her sides. Never mind. Probably for the best anyway.

"Just being honest," Kurumi winked back. Her right hand twirled one of her loose curls around her index finger for no real reason other than her hands could not afford to be idle. More guests had arrived now, and Kurumi bowed her head to each of them, offering a genuine smile. "And you thought that there weren't many people who cared about you," she whispered, poking Nessie in the side. Well, that was one doubt that the Puff could put out of her mind. "Of course!" she chirped in response to Nessie's question. "You will always be younger than me." So turning into the big sister would be out of the question. Only way that Nessie would lose the title was if she really was trying to play matchmaker...

Nodding as Nessie walked off with the cake, Kurumi looked around the room. Birthday parties...they really were wonderful things. Too bad she had never had one for herself.

It was weird to say that Oakey had learned to dance like this when he was younger watching the other adults at the sporadic parties that Harvey threw when his Foster Father was an immature Caretaker, before they moved to England after Harvey's sister passed away. Oakey would go up to his room each night and try some of the moves that he saw.

The music went on and so did Oakey, he would eventually need to take a break this kind of stuff always wore him out.

An then she sort of suggested the idea. Not that the both of their minds were probably racing on what to do or whether to ask it, but it finally came out. Maybe if they were awkward it wouldn't make such a difference because the situation was already awkward, so dancing would be nothing for them, right?

He thought back to the day of the costume party, even then things, in terms of dance, were tense for them. This was definitely more awkward than that day. An lately, he hadn't been in the greatest mood about everything at Hogwarts.

Adam still felt weird if he danced with her. Why wasn't Jonathan here yet? This was actually one time he wanted Jonathan to interrupt an just whisk her away from him.

He turned to try an answer her, but saw that she kind of forgot about the idea when Nessie had asked to dance with him. Which was probably even more awkward in his book. "I can dance with her later." He smiled, as he pointed at Nessie. She wouldn't mind if she had to wait at least one song, they were both on the edge of 'siblings' dancing, anyways. Adam leaned forward, took a step an held out his hand.





Adam then walked over to a small girl in a purple dress, as everyone was basically wearing. He looked at her for a few seconds an thought she looked so familiar..

Wait a moment. "I think..Are you Carter's little sister? You look just like him?"

It was about time Adam make friends with other Gryffindors. He always stuck to the people he had known for years. Time to step out of the bubble..

"Yeah. I am." Anya said with a little giggle. "Really? Do I? You're actually not the first person who said that." In fact... most people thought they did. "I'm actually... er... not related though."

Nope. She was adopted. But she always found it funny that she fit right in with her family.

"My name is Anya. What's yours Mr. Prefect." she asked. Yeah... she'd seen him around.
