| | The Practice Pitch When not in use for games, the Quidditch Pitch is open for students to practice their Quidditch skills before attending team tryouts, and it's also open for students to practice their flying skills (make sure you get a broom from the Broomshed!)
Once the Quidditch season officially begins, team captains can 'book the field' with Professor Vindictus for practice and non-team members can watch practices occur. When practices aren't in session, the pitch is open for flying practice. Note: This thread is for IC role playing and not chatter. All SS rules apply in this thread. |

One, she barely knew him, and two, this wouldn't give him a great impression of her Quidditch ability, but, Daisy thought, keeping her mouth closed tightly so she wouldn't be sick, if Keefer's view of her wasn't affected too much by this, she would make it up to him by playing really, really well in the next match...

I feel a little too hyper for serious flying now,' she said, looking down at the ground, which was spinning worryingly... 'Maybe I should get off my broom...' she trailed off, her head spinning. Dr Pepper? The one Aaron always drinks?
"Nah, I never liked one of those," she said, knitting her eyebrows. Quote:

He flew over a little closer to her. As he did so, he noticed that she didn't look so great. Then she began trailing off and saying she should get off her broom. He didn't like where this was heading...
He sped up, arms outstretched, and unholstered his wand. He was afraid she was about to fall. Reaching her, he put his arms around her to steady her. "Let's get you back on the ground right away. Janice, come help me out, here," he said calmly, waiting for Daisy's consent before he began to guide her. "You don't look so good. Do you need the hospital wing?" "Sure," she said, taking Daisy's free arm. Quote:

'Maybe...' she muttered, clutching her stomach in hope she wouldn't be sick in front of everyone. Especially on Keefer or Janice, that would be extremely embarassing... 'If there's a potion, I do feel a bit... ick,' she frowned, closing her eyes and trying to block everything out. Quote:

Janice looked at Daisy. She instantly knew that she didn't really make a difference on holding Daisy up, so he released her grip. "Keefer, I'm not making a difference. I'll just take our broom with us."
She walked back and took the brooms in her arms. She staggered backwards as she is not used to carrying 3 brooms at a time, so she took out her wand. "Locomotor Brooms." That was one handy little spell she learnt last year.
The brooms rose a meter mid-air. She directed her wand in front of her, and they moved into position and started walking as Janice did. Quote:

Janice practically ran to keep up with Keefer and Daisy who was very much in front of her.
"Is it because of the Dr Pepper?" she asked, which is most probably the most unlikely thing to happen since she knows that they have been drinking that since forever. "Or were you just kind of, you know, not well today?"

After grabbing a good enough looking broom from the broom shed, Logan made his way to the pitch. He got on his broom and sped off, feeling the wind brush his brown hair back. He smiled. It felt nice to be on a broom again. Whenever he flew, it always felt like his could just fly away from his problems. Anything. And it always made him feel better, until he had to touch back down on the ground again. . .

Gwendolyn approached the practice pitch with hasty steps, holding the broom she’d got from the broomshed tightly in her hand. Right. She could do this… Is it too late to back out?, she asked herself and looked slightly puzzled around. No. She wouldn’t do that. Not ever. Gwen promised she would come, so here she was. And besides, it was her own silly idea. She did it with her own hands…
Glimpsing at the broom she was holding in her right hand, the third year decided to skip the part with trying to get it to raise up. She will NEVER be able to do that. So instead, she simply waited, standing at the edge of the pitch, and looked around in order to spot Arabella-Marie. In her left hand, Gwen held two chocolate frogs. She’d definitely need some energy… and something to help her stay positive. And chocolate was the best thing she could have picked.
Unwrapping one of the sweets, the young Ravenclaw took out the chocolate frog, glimpsing curiously at the card, which was still upside down. If she’ll get one more Salazar Slytherin….

Carefully picking up the chocolate frog card, Gwendolyn wondered who the famous witch or wizard she got. ‘Great’, she mumbled to herself, putting the card of Salazar Slytherin away. She had like a million of him. Blimey!, the third year shook her head, and, as she did so, she saw someone approaching the pitch. ‘Hi!’, she waved to her friend, waiting patiently for the Gryffindor to arrive.
Ready? Was she ready???? Mhmm- not really. More ready than she’ll ever be, anyway. ‘I guess…’, the Ravenclaw raised her shoulders and gave a small smirk. ‘Oh—here’, she gave Arabella the other chocolate frog.
After taking a deep breath, Gwendolyn stared blankly at the pitch. ‘I suggest flying for a couple of minutes…’ Like… ‘till she got used to the freaking flying stuff. Yes. She definitely needed to take this slow. ‘By the way—do you know how to use any healing spells?’ What? She forgot to take her wand. Actually- forgetting wasn’t the right way to put it. She simply didn’t bring it, because chances were- she’ll fall off the broomstick- and break the wand. And she didn’t want to get a new one. It was hard enough to find one that would match in the first place! Here goes…, she thought and was ready for the take-off. Taking another deep breath, the girl looked back at Arabella. ‘Ready?’, she asked, more like to convince herself to just go already. Fine, fine, you can do this, the Ravie told herself as she felt the broom was moving… and she couldn’t reach the ground with her feet anymore.

After grabbing a broom out of the broom shed, Ella approached the pitch with a wide grin on her face. Flying was simply the best way to forget your troubles. She positioned herself on the broom and took off into the sky, feeling the warm sun on her face. The beautiful day only added to her cheerful attitude. She looked warily at the trees as she passed them, remembering the wild squirrel lesson. Crazy creatures!
