Selina was so distracted. Every since Gideon had his episode during try outs, which consisted of him almost falling off his broom and hurting his wrist, the redhead could not help but worry about her boyfriend. Fulfilling her duties as Captain continued on for the rest of the try outs, but in the back of her mind she kept wondering if Gideon was alright. So when the try outs ended she changed her clothes quickly, she did not need to shower because she had just sat and watched try outs, and ran down the pathway. Hopefully she could catch up with Gideon after he visited the hospital wing.

As if by fate, she saw her boyfriend, wet hair and all, on his way up to the castle. She jogged beside him and gingerly reached for his wrist. Her eyes met his and she asked genuinely concerned, "Hey are you alright?"

His mind wandering, it wasn't until he felt the gentle tug on his unharmed wrist that Gideon registered someone, let alone Selina was approaching him from behind. The boy turning to face her as she caught up to him and gradually stopping as their eyes met. He could tell how concerned she was for him, much like the first game he had played the previous term when she had been stuck in the stands and he had had bad luck with a few bludgers.

"Aye...I think I will be," he answered, debating actually having it checked out or not. Gideon having inherited the family hesitance with healers in connection to the members who were actually healers themselves including his grandfather. "How did it go?" the fifth year said, asking about the rest of the try-out. The boy trying his best to play off the hurt not wanting to appear weak in front of her.

"Well,at least one animal likes me!"Cardigan said with a laugh.It was curious!Well,haters gotta hate.She couldn't help but notice how adorable Logan looked as a "dog".She could pet him all day!Just how cute would this face look with puppy dog eyes?

The redhead looked up at him with concerned eyes as he took a moment to respond to her. Although she knew it was not Captain-like she was very concerned about him. Selina did not like to see people get hurt. She had seen so many people get hurt over the years and now something about injuries just perturbed her. Of course, she did not want to show how uneasy she was to Gideon. That would only push along him whole I'm-fine-complex.

When he answered that he was indeed okay she nodded at him slowly. There was a part of her that did not believe him, but she so desperately wanted to believe him. Because part of her felt responsible for him getting hurt today. After all it was an injury at HER try out. She rose her eyebrow at him and said, "Are you sure? You'd tell me honestly if you were not okay, right?"

Taking the hint about try outs she hesitantly debated whether she should slip his hand into hers or not. They had never really been that kind of couple to show affection. Honestly, most people usually thought they were best friends before anything else and in some respects Selina liked that. She liked the fact that he was her friend first because that meant they had would always be friends and could be themselves with one another. On the other hand that was a disadvantage because the whole romantic part of their relationship was just kind of awkward. Neither of them really knew how to handle it... of course being teenagers also did not help the awkward gene. So Selina decided to just let her arm dangle, "I mean they went well. Jack Tatum, the first year, is really fantastic. And Brooklyn, Ariella and Alex are good too. We still have a lot of try outs though, so we'll see."

Gideon bit the inside of his cheek so Selina couldn't see as she pressed for the certainty of his condition. He debated to reveal more truth rather then continue the half-truthes he was given to her not liking deceiving her but he didn't want his girlfriend to be the one worrying about him. It already seemed like she worried enough about his safety when he played given his past playing and her actions. The yelling after the Ravenclaw match the previous term a perfect example.

"Aye...if I was badly hurt I would tell ye," he answered purposely using a certain choice of phrase so he wasn't lying. No...he wasn't BADLY hurt but badly was up for each person's interpretation. His wrist did hurt like the dickens at the moment though, the reprieve given by the hot water of the shower starting to wear off. Not that he would allow it to show.

Thankfully Selina took the bait, moving the conversation back to the talk of quidditch and the tryouts both in general and specifically. Gideon nodded as he listened debating starting walking again so they weren't just standing on the walk. They were a good set of players overall and one could only guess what could come of it. "Aye...I guess we will," he remarked in agreement, finally deciding to lead them. His uninjured hand and arm tentatively moving behind her and guiding her so they could take a stroll in the process of talking as they made their way back towards the castle.

Ella wandered off the path with her DADA book in her hands, looking for a good spot to sit. She found a large tree and decided to sit under its branches, leaning her body against its large trunk. Her head was still spinning after revealing how she felt to her closest friend at Hogwarts. I can't even believe I did that! Plus, I had to go and kiss him.Oh and then-then I just ran off like a coward. Why do I always do this? Sure, he had said he felt the same way about Ella but everything would be different now between them and she knew it. She opened her book and poured herself into her reading, trying not to think about what he would say to her when they saw each other next.

Yeah, she has a point. Jonathan realized that being absent made it more like the professors had these things planned from the very beginning. "Still..." he opened his mouth "...the professors would never do such a thing for just an activity" he said calmly. Right? No, they couldn't. It's a school after all and risking a student's life is a big no-no. Or maybe there's just a side of Jonathan which is too biased for Professor Scabior.

Jonathan didn't nod when Kurumi asked him if he would be calm. Well, "That depends..." he laughed. "If I saw you in class then I'd know the one down the lake is a clone" he explained. "But really..." he looked at her "I'd be worried if it was a real life event. Like I said, you need to trust the professors in this school" he added. Truth be told, he'd be worried sick if he was in the same position. Jonathan may look as calm as a sheep but underneath all that calm personality, he can go crazy like her as well. He'd even get mad about it too.

Kurumi laughed and leaned her head on his shoulder again. "I wouldn't be too sure about that," she winked. This was the world of Triwizard Tournaments and dangerous magical creatures. Then again, perhaps it was her distrust in Professor Scabior that was doing most of the talking. There had been that one Care of Magical Creatures class where everyone had almost gotten killed too...during her first year. Thank goodness for Salander.

Kurumi's head lifted up again when he answered her question and she felt her cheeks flushing a deeper and deeper shade as each word left his lips. She...needed to stop looking at them, she was making herself blush even more. he didn't have to say it, but she could read it in the words behind the ones he spoke and his body language. Not speaking, she instead sat up a bit more and kissed him softly on the cheek, lingering there for a moment and smiling at him shyly.

There was a huge part of Selina that did not trust Gideon. Deep down, under all of his reassurances and smiles, she had a feeling he was in more pain than he was letting on. Her blue eyes searched his green for a moment to find any trace of a lie in his eyes. The problem was Selina was an awful liar herself, so she could not tell when others were not being a hundred percent honest. So she nodded and said, "Okay, as long as you promise you aren't terribly hurt."

She took his mark and started to walk with him down the pathways back to the castle. Their conversation about Quidditch seemed over and she was not going to push the whole try out conversation. Mostly because she had no idea who was even going to be on the team yet. They had only had two try outs thus far. Besides, a majority of the try outs were this weekend. So she would wait and see what happened.

As the two of them continued to walk down the pathway Selina turned her head to look at him and asked, "So how have you been this term? We haven't really seen each other one on one this term." It was true. Every time they had seen one another it had been in groups or with Kurumi. It was nice just to be the two of them.

Daichi wrapped his slytherin scarf around his neck as he shivered when a cold breeze blew over the pathways. He walked slowly, enjoying the leaves falling down and occasionally kicking a pile of leaves. He was bored though. Having just gotten back from Professor Williamson's hut to apologize for punching the man, the Slytherin decided not to go back to the castle but walk around.

He held his hands in his pocket and felt the bouncing ball he had used in Diagon Alley. He smiled a little when he remembered the two Gryffindors scolding him for making the street a dangerous place but later offered him free ice cream. Looking around, Daichi saw that he was alone on this side of the path and bounced the ball on the path.

It bounced back up and he caught it, his Quidditch training in his first year showing up again. He threw it against a tree and it bounced on the ground before he caught it. Another bounce on the ground and...he sneezed.

The ball continued to bounce over the path and eventually dissapeared in to the bushes. "MY BALL!" he shouted as he quickly ran behind it, searching the bushes and leave piles for his bouncing ball.

Aurora was strolling around in the grounds - sick of being cooped up in the castle with all that work... She hummed a bit as she walked, pulling her cloak tighter as the autumn breeze picked up. Oooh, it got cold so quickly here... It was times like these she wished she was back in mainland Europe... it was usually warmer there.

She caught sight of a flash of colour out of the corner of her eye and turned, only to see Daichi following it. She jogged over to him as he started searching the bushes for something. "Lost something?" she asked, pushing a strand of hair behind her ear - the wind was whipping it in her face, how infuriating. "Want me to help?"

Daichi had dropped down on his knees in his search for the ball and was unaware of someone elses presence. His jeans got wet at the knees as the mud sticked to it. A pile of leaves around the tree he was in front of looked suspicious to him and he wondered if his ball was in there. Digging his hands in the pile, he made a face when his hands became wet and cold and a bit muddy too.

Hearing a voice behind him, he quickly turned around and saw Aurora. "Yes! i lost my bouncing ball...'' he said as he looked back. It hadn't been in that pile maybe in that bush? "if you want, It's a red ball'' he said... feeling stupid to have a red ball in autumn.

A bouncy ball? Really? He was getting all messy for a BALL? Well... "Have you tried magic?" she asked, taking her wand from her sleeve. Magic was good for stuff like this...

But what spells to use... hmmm... "I guess accio would work... right?" Not that she was very good at charms...

Gideon watched as Selina met his eyes, staring into them as if trying to see through them to see if he was lying or not. He met her head on, green eyes to blue seeing as he doubted much was visible. A grimace would have been more truth-telling yet he managed to keep from doing so. "Aye...I promise Selina," he promised with a nod. If he was that bad he doubted he'd be able to conceal it anyway. He wasn't that good an actor.

They walked for a bit, his hand falling back down to his side as he wasn't sure of adding it to her back. There was still a line they were unsure to cross in their relationship which lead to uncertainties in actions. Silence had started to build between them until Selina turned once more to face them even as they continued to move.

"I've been well," he answered as they moved on to getting updates on their times away from each other or at least surrounded by other people. There was enough of it though it was expected seeing as Selina at least was a very busy and popular person nowadays. "And yerself? Probably glad potions hasn't started yet eh?"

There was an awkward silence that had engulfed the pair as they continued to walk. Selina knew that she and Gideon were dancing on a very weird line. Their relationship had its foundation in friendship, which to a certain degree was brilliant, but that meant that the two always were testing waters to see how far they were willing to balance the whole relationship thing. They were also getting older now and it seemed that everyone else's relationships were all hugs and affection and presents and goo. The two of them were not like that... was that wrong?

She bit down on her bottom lip to hold back a smirk when he asked if she was glad that potions hadn't started yet. "Oh you're so funny," Selina joked bumping into his shoulder a little with her own, "But yeah I kind of am. No offense to Lafay, but I'm kind of glad that she has been AWOL. Is that awful of me?" She brushed off the question and joked, "I'm sure you're upset about no potions, Potion's Prince."

Jonathan put his hand over her shoulder when Kurumi leaned her head onto his shoulder. "You don't like Professor Scabior that much, do you?" of course, that was a rhetorical question since Jonathan already knew how upset Kurumi was when Scabior had given her those minus points last term. "Come on, he's not that bad" Jonathan said. Jonathan liked Professor Scabior. But it's not like he was convincing her to like him, Kurumi can like whoever she wants to.

Jonathan smiled like a 5-year old when Kurumi kissed him on the cheek. What was that about? His grin? Jonathan faced her this time and pinched her cheeks. "It's true, you know." he nodded. "I'll die worrying." he smiled again.

"He...confuses me," she sort of grumbled. "Nothing ever seems to please him and I sometimes find it hard to breathe in his lessons...because I am so nervous." Which had been horrible during the joint lesson with Care of Magical Creatures. Kurumi really liked Professor Williamson. In fact, IF she were the fangirling type she would probably fangirl him, but Kurumi wasn't, so there was no fangirling to be had."He doesn't like Gryffindors and...I don't know. He seems to have some sort of standard for me that seems really unfair." Like nothing she ever did was right. "But...I suppose you are right...he DID give me two points during the lesson..." In which Kurumi thought the world was ending because the man had smiled as well.

Jonathan's smile made her blush even more, and his words sent her right over the edge, turning her entire head a deep pink color. Kurumi wished that others could see this side of him. So many people seemed surprised when she told people about Jonathan's sweet and sensitive side. It was probably Louisa who had been the most shocked. The girl had gawked at her in complete shock. She didn't even mind when he pinched her cheeks and put one of her small hands on his check, simply resting it there. "Jonathan...I..." she started, chewing on her bottom lip shyly as her hand stayed on his cheek.

Jonathan laughed. Not breathing. Kurumi must be really mental when it comes to Professor Scabior then. "Just relax, it's not like he's out to get you" same with Lafay. Lafay was too strict and so was Scabior. And that doesn't automatically means that they have grudges against people. "It's all in your head" he said as he poked her forehead once more. Except for that Divination teacher. Jonathan is still scared of him. Good thing, divination hasn't still started yet.

Relieved...

Jonathan lowered his hands and looked at her. She didn't finished her sentence though "hmmm?" he stared at her again... what? What is she thinking now? "are you perhaps cold? Because we can go inside the castle if you want." he nodded. They have been staying there for quite sometime now. so yeah, maybe she is getting cold.

Jonathan is.

Kurumi wasn't so sure about that first comment of Jonathan's, but she wouldn't argue with him...for now. Not until she had more proof anyway. Her eyes momentarily crossed when he poked her forehead, and she rubbed the spot for a moment. "Just like Thereos isn't out to get you either," she said playfully. Kurumi was sort of indifferent when it came to the centaur as a profesor, but she needed to speak with him about the comet her and August had discovered.

That...wasn't what she was going to say at all and Kurumi's hair sort of stood on end for a moment as an electric shock of embarrassment surged through her. "Oh...um...I-I-I guess," she stammered. Yeah, it was pretty obvious that that was so not what she had really been thinking. Her violet eyes looked back into his chocolate ones, her hand still on his cheek.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaawkward....

Daichi's cheeks blushed fire as Aurora mentioned using magic to get the ball back. He knew that! He brushed his dirty hands on his jeans that were already dirty and sighed.

"Uhm..to..to be honest, i'm not..you know'' it was pretty embarrassing for a third year students to have trouble using magic. Especially when students younger than him could do it almost perfectly. He had seen it in class and it made him both embarrassed and jealous.

"I'm not good at using....that spell'' he was not going to confess he was bad at ALL spells. hehe. ''I already blew up a part of the grounds last year...Professor Bentley didn't really like it'' not one bit. And he was scared now to try to use magic without supervision.

Gideon could see the amusement his remark brought out in his girlfriend, despite her attempt to try and hide it. And he couldn't help chuckling as she called his joke, nudging him in the shoulder. "Nah...it just means she has something to do other then be hard on students for once," he remarked despite her waving it off. The Gryffindor might like potions and be one of the few students who could actually stand Lafay, but he had to admit at some times the woman could be a little rough in class.

Gideon shrugged at Selina's question, honestly not too upset as she might believe. "Actually not too much," he answered truthfully. "Professor Roslund's been keeping us busy with Astronomy tasks so at least I have something." The subject was tied with potions as one of his favs so the 5th year was having fun and not feeling quite as distant from the professor as he had been the term before.

Selina could not help but smile wheh he chuckled, as hard as she had been trying to bury hee smirk it just came straight out when he laughed. Something about laughter always made Selina smile. Especially when her friends and family laughed; it made her happy. But when he said that Lafay had other things in her life besides torturing innocent Gryffindors Selina shook her head, "No way. Lafay lives for all of that stuff. I can't think of anything else that she would do besides teach potions.". What else could she possibly be doing?

When he said that he wasn't upset about no potions class Selina nodded, "Astronomy right. I should probably start that assignment, but you know me. When it gets past a certain time I just get tired.". Selina was often found on late nights in the Common Room curled up in a tight ball sleeping on the couch. It was not that she could not stay up late but as soon as she got tired she was asleep. Her worst habit though was falling asleep on her friends. Usually Kurumi bore the brunt of that torture...

As soon as Ellie hit the pathways, she took a deep breath of fresh air and sighed heavily. She had told Emma to meet her here earlier and Ellie was anxious. A lot had happened since she last talked to her and she really needed to catch up. Plus, Ellie wanted to know what had happened with Emma since the last time they talked.

So, Ellie shoved her hands in her coat pocket, wandering around the pathway until Emma showed up. She smiled to herself, wondering if she would ask for a wedding invitation again... Sigh.

Jonathan raised an eyebrow "You know, in my defense..." he looked at her "My boggart is a centaur." he nodded. "Which basically means I always think they're all out to get me." it's not like Kurumi's boggart is a Scabior too. Or was it?

So she was cold? And she didn't even said anything? Jonathan sighed. "well, next time just tell me so." he nodded. Jonathan looked up at the trees again, it is getting a little bit colder now that he started to feel the cold wind. "Are you going back to your common room?" he asked. Jonathan is heading to the Slytherin's study tables back at the common, he did promise himself to write his parents today. Victoria will be worried sick if she doesn't receive any parchment from him.

"What if my boggart was...Professor Scabior?" she asked in return. She had sort of overcome her previous boggart twice now, so she sort of figured that it was going to change soon. Boggarts did that, didn't they? They were under the same magical principles as a patronus after all. In fact, Boggarts weren't even things that you produced yourself. "I-I-I don't know what it is, but, um...what if it was that..." she DID find the man scary.

Kurumi reached out and grabbed his arm, pulling him a little closer. "I'm not...cold..." she said, still chewing on her bottom lip. Oh Merlin was this awkward. She didn't want to make a fool of herself again like she had done on the dance floor last term, nor did she want to look...well, she wasn't sure what the word was. "It's more that...twice now...I've...I mean we've...I thought that..." She looked into his eyes for a moment. Why couldn't he just be a mind reader? Instead, she scooted a little closer and kept her gaze on his. "...I thought you were going to kiss me..."
