Ahhh, October.

Best month for Jonathan because it's the start of his favorite season, Fall/ Autumn. He liked how autumn is not that there were any specific reason why he liked the season. It's just unexplained to him. He just felt really happy when autumn arrives. Kind of ironic since Spring is suppose to be the lively season. Jonathan gets spring fever due to the pollen. He's allergic to that and there are too many insects during spring. Winter is too cold and summer is too hot. Fall is perfect.

Jonathan did tell Kurumi, or sent a note, to meet him here. It's been quite awhile since they last saw each other. She was too busy preparing her OWLs. Yeah, that's Kurumi. She's already smart in class, she'll perfect her OWLs without a sweat.

Jonathan walked around and decided to stop on one corner. He leaned onto a tree and fixed his scarf. It was definitely getting cold, and he likes it. Then for awhile, he stared up the sky as he waited for her.

Kurumi had been thrown into a blushing panic when she had received a note from Jonathan to meet her. They both had been busy doing their own thing and hadn't really been able to spend much time just the two of them anywhere since the spider incident. Ew, she was NOT going to think about that spider right now. It would only ruin the mood. Hand holding in the hallways, seeing each other in the Great Hall, small gestures towards each other had become somewhat of a routine, so she was overly excited when their schedules had matched up and they would be able to just take a walk and enjoy the autumn weather. To Kurumi, it still wasn't really coat weather, so a heavy sweater and jeans were enough with her. She had ALMOST put her hair back up in a pony tail, but left it down and settled for a hairband instead, remembering that Jonathan had mentioned her liked her hair down more.

Stumbling out of the castle, she arrived at the pathways and took no time at all to find her fashionable Slytherin standing and looking up at the sky. As slyly as a lion could manage, she sneaked up behind him and slipped her right arm through the small gap between his arm and his chest, blushing just a bit as she drew herself closer. "Hello," she smiled. "I hope you were not waiting too long."

Pam walked along the pathways to a bench, and sat down. She didn't know what to do. Her parents could possibly be dead. But what was the point to her worrying? Nate and Jez's parents were already dead. Holding on to what little hope she had, was the best Pam could do. The stress of losing her best friends was already starting to get to her, and she felt like she was losing her mind. She worked extra hard on her homework just to keep her mind off of everything. But as soon as her head hit her pillow, the nightmares of her friends returned.

As she was trying to forget her dreams, a small owl flew above her. She looked up just as a letter was falling. She caught it in her hands, worried about what this letter contained. Could it be from Jared? She thought. She looked at the owl, for something that would tell her if it was. But the owl didn't look like it was the normal Jared owl. Which could only mean one thing: It was from her parents.

She rippeed open the envelope, hoping it was some good news. She needed good news.

Pam crumpled up the letter, and threw it on the ground. She pulled her knees up to her chest, and cried into them. The thought of losing her dad was too much for her. Aside from Nate, her dad was the one guy Pam trusted. Jasper was always there when Pam needed him, and always would be. She just hoped Des and Keegan could save him.

Jez didn't have anything better to do than walk around. The note was still heavy on her mind, and on her pocket for that matter, like a stone that was weighing her down. She was still sick with worry about her siblings and Pam's parents, and Jordan's little brother too now, since he'd gotten a red typed note. 'Red typed note' - Jez couldn't even bear to think of it as 'note from Jared' anymore, because of the simple truth that she was scared to death of him, although she'd never admit it to anyone.
She looked up and saw Pam on the bench a little way away, ready a letter. As she watched, Pam crumpled the paper and threw it away, then started to cry. Jez ran over to the bench, sitting down and hugging her friend. She knew enough about this sort of thing to know when someone needed a hug. "What happened?" she asked, glancing down at the paper on the ground. "Was it a red note?" Jared seemed on a roll with these things - he should just mass-produce them in advance or something, with insert-your-name-here blanks.

Laura decided that she wanted to go for a walk where she was going she had no idea but she didn't care sometimes walking cleared her head, she'd had a bad charms class because the crazy Professor lady had taken points of her for well basically nothing but well she would try and appologise to the lady and at least she hadn't got detention.

Pam looked up at Jez and shook her head. "N-no." She took a deep breath. "It's from Keegan." She didn't want to get it, nor did she want to read it again. So she just pointed at the paper, hoping Jez would read it. And to herself for that matter. She could help but cry harder. Not only was her mother missing, her father is on the verge of death. The only good news, to her, was the fact that her bunny, Snowball, was still alive.

Arya had gotten away, but it certainly wasn't unscathed... not that she had been to begin with. All that falling and flailing had certainly left her with bruises.

BUT NOW SHE HAD TENTACLES FOR HANDS!!!

She could still technically grip the blue flag, since tentacles were great for gripping things and her charm wasn't wearing off, and she still had a grip on it... until she realized that her hands were... not her hands.

Then she stopped running and had a mild freakout.

... Which didn't last that long since she was still giggly and stuff.

The prefect, in her giggle!panic, had dropped both her wand and the flag. And when she realized this, she went first after her wand, then retrieved the flag, wrapping her tentacles hands around both securely. She wasn't removing the tentacles.

Why would she? They were awesome!

Arya started to run for the willow again.

Jonathan took a glance at his pocket watch. He seems to be just right in time but Kurumi wasn't around yet. He should have bought the muggle pencil and his sketch notebook with him. It's been awhile since he last actually drew something. In the summer, all he did was play the piano. He had some unfinished pieces to continue. But he never lets anyone hear him play. Except for Kurumi. Last year's Valentines' Day.

Anyways...

He stared back again into the sky and yawned. Yup. He is still as bored and as sleepy as ever. Typical Jonathan. Then suddenly out of no where Kurumi hugged him from behind. He smiled and yet didn't move. It was perfect that way. "I just got here." he replied. "How are you?"

Just got here? Wasn't that something that people usually said when they had been waiting for a bit but were too polite to say so? Well, that sometimes happened, but if that had been the case with Jonathan chances were that he already would have been asleep. "Good, I'd hate to have kept you waiting too long," she nodded, deciding to stay in the same position she was for now.

"I'm doing alright, keeping a little busier than I would like though," she explained. There was just so much going on around school these days, and that wasn't even including the events happening in the Gryffindor common room. "I found Walnut, you know, after the whole broom cupboard incident. He had been hiding under my bed. He, um, doesn't like Xavier very much." Or was it that the plant didn't like Walnut. Perhaps the feelings were mutual. "How about you?"

As Laura looked around, she saw a girl. She didn't really seem to be in a good mood. But she did look lonely. 'Now..we can't have that,' Laura thought. She waved to the girl and said 'Hiya!! Wanna join us?'

Laura looked around as someone shouted to her, she ran over to her and smiled. "I'd love to join you." That would hopefully make her forget about the mean Professor and her sister, who seemed to have forgotten about her. "I'm Laura." She smiled as she held out her hand for the older girl to shake.

Laura was surprised to see a namesake. She smiled 'Hey..I'm Laura too!! I mean..my name is also Laura..Laura Granger..second year..which year are you?,' she asked

Thomas looked around thoughtfully. Frowning thoughtfully. “I dun' fink Pygmy Puffs 'ave the righ' fought process to 'ate.” He replied. “They ain' tha' intelligent.” So.. yeah.. the thing had probably just rolled off looking for insects to eat.. if they ate insects.

His focus flew back to Nessie when she snapped at him for frowning. His eyes widened a little. He wasn't frowning! And that... was sort of uncalled for. He started to frown deeper.. and then realised what he was doing and smoothed out his expression, instead giving her a small knowing smile. He didn't mean anything by it most of the time. It was something he just did.. particularly when he was thinking. “Soz.” He mumbled. “Ain' got a clue when I'm doin' it 'alf the time.”

But the frown was back again the moment Nessie said she didn't think he really wanted to help. “I wouldn't blaady offah if I didn't wantah.” Ness should know by now that Tom was extremely blunt and direct and if he didn't want to do something it was more than likely he wouldn't do it. Blueish purple. See? That was better. At least now he knew what he was looking for. “Righ'.” He nodded and proceeded to start searching the bushes.

“Er... Puffles?” He called feeling a bit silly. It was nearly as bad as Kat calling her puppy 'Fluff.' He was unaware that the puff of blueish purple was cheekily perched on Nessie's back.

Big Girl say what!!! "I'm Laura you..." Laura giggled. "Oh hi Also Laura." Laura smiled that was a weird name but well she wouldn't make fun of anyone name Also Laura. "My full name is Laura Hope Hyde, I have a twin sister called Lana in Ravenclaw but well I haven't seen her for awhile. "I'm a first year." She had known this girl was older.

'Lana is your sister??...I've met her..,' Laura said, remembering the girl whom she had met at the station.

Laura looked at Laura and then realised that this girl was a Ravenclaw, so surely she should be able to give her sister a message from her. "Well next time you see her, tell her that her sister wants a word with her." Laura was annoyed so Lana had time to meet new friends but she didn't want to speak to her own sister.

He wasn't really that early. He didn't even wait for 15 minutes too. Kurumi was just actually on time. Jonathan shook his head. Nope. He didn't waited for her. Besides, he likes the weather around this time so going out for a walk was definitely a nice thing to do.

Jonathan turned to Kurumi. Busier? Jonathan smirked. Well, she was always busy. Unlike him that would just love to procrastinate and sleep even more. Sixth year, best year at Hogwarts ever. No OWLs just pure awesomeness. Ohhh speaking of OWLs "Maybe you're too busy studying for your OWLs?" he asked. It's Kurumi after all. Jonathan wasn't bothered too much with studying last term. In fact he slept most of the time and called it 'studying'.

See?! Walnut was just around and to think she went to all that trouble at the broom cupboard just to look for him. Jonathan still didn't like that spider. It gave him the chills everytime he recalls that incident. ECK!

"I'm doing fine" yes, and that means he sleeps most of the time and eats a lot. Oh, that should be a good thing right? Because last term, the elves weren't exactly doing there jobs so Jonathan didn't really ate much. Right now though, he eats a lot. Victoria will be very happy about it.

After going around for some time, Tayla finally saw something interesting. "She has the blue flag!" she thought and started to run after the Hufflepuff.

"A prefect..." Tayla realized, seeing the girl's badge glint. Then suddenly, the Hufflepuff prefect's hands turned into tentacles. Tayla's eyes grew wide and she paused for a moment, a bit shocked. Seeing the older girl drop the wand and the flag brought her back to her senses, but before she could do anything, the girl had grabbed them again with her tentacles. Tayla needed to get that flag!

"Those tentacles move so weirdly...so wriggly," Tayla couldn't help thinking. And then she got a sudden idea. "That's it!"

Still running after the Hufflepuff, Tayla pointed her wand towards the tentacled girl and said with clear intent, "Immobulus!". It seemed like the girl hadn't noticed Tayla running after her, so Tayla hoped she didn't miss. She needed to stop her from getting back to The Whomping Willow.

Oh!! Now , was there some problem between them? Laura surely didn't want to be a part of it, but she agreed to give her the message. 'Sure thing..but..why?,' she asked curiously

"Because I've been waiting for her to come and find me that why." Laura sighed, she wasn't sure if Laura would like to give her the message but well she had asked why, she decided to change the subject she was hoping she could have a new friend. "How are you today?"

Laura understood that the other Laura wanted to change the topic..After all, who would like to go around and announce the rift between their sister and them. 'Oh..I'm good..And you?,' she asked

Smiling a bit as Jonathan turned around, Kurumi dropped her arms by her side and settled for shyly wrapping her pinky around his. Being too close in public was still awkward for her, and not because of anything Jonathan did, it was all on Kurumi. "Probably...you know me," she laughed. No probably about it. Any spare moment she had her nose was in some sort of textbook reading. "Distract me?" she asked. That wasn't a question. It was a request. Jonathan was the master of procrastination after all.

There was Jonathan again. The snake of very few words. Still, fine to Jonathan usually implied much more. He was careful with his words, something Kurumi appreciated.

Jonathan gave a small laugh. Of course, Kurumi wouldn't be Kurumi if she decided to sleep a lot. Now, that was Jonathan's specialty. He knew she is studying very hard and that's not really surprising since she did mention that she was getting ready for OWLs since this summer. Jonathan felt his jaw dropped after hearing Kurumi say that. It took Jonathan months to get ready and really commit to studying. Well, Kurumi is just very studious when it comes to reading and studying.

No arguments there.

Distraction she says? Jonathan looked at her and yet he was thinking all sorts of distractions he could think off. Well, there's that Fandango thingy happening at Hogwarts. That could be the ultimate distraction. Also, there's tons of new spots at Hogwarts right now, like that garden and that duck pond which Jonathan hasn't still visited.... yet. Jonathan smirked and leaned forward to her face. He stared at her eyes for a moment and then realized that she had such a cute nose. Then he leaned even closer "Walnut could be a distraction" he whispered and smiled.

He patted her head like he always does. Oh, he just remembered something. Jonathan took a small brown gift box and gave it to her "Here." he smiled handing her the box. "It's not much, I just thought of giving you something" he added. He put his hands onto his pocket and leaned onto the tree as he watched her.

Kurumi gently swung their arms back and forth, but she quickly froze up when Jonathan began to lean in. Her heart began pounding in her chest, threatening to burst out of her chest. Wait, really? What about all that talk about keeping moments like this private and...oh my, he was really close now. Kurumi's eyes fluttered shut when he was close enough to feel his breath on her and she relaxed her face muscles slightly in disbelief. Wait...WHAT? Her eyes snapped open and she sort of wrinkled her face disapprovingly. "Walnut IS a distraction," she corrected, pouting just a little. She should have seen it coming. Big meanie that he was only not really. Jonathan really did have an inner Hufflepuff that came out around her.

Realizing that she had subconsciously stood up on her tip toes, Kurumi slowly lowered herself to the ground, cheeks on fire and hair definitely beginning to turn a deep magenta tinge.

Still obviously pouting in disappointment, Kurumi's violet eyes widened when he handed her a small box. "You...got me something?" she squeaked with surprise. "Why?" It was an innocent question really. It wasn't her birthday. Nor was it Christmas. Or Valentine's Day. It was...just some random day in October. Was she...missing something?!

Shyly, she removed the lid and looked down at the necklace inside and was completely rendered speechless. It was almost too much for someone as plain as her. Was he really sure that he wanted to give her something so...beautiful?
