"Sure, I'll buy for you if you want?" Alex asked, feeling slightly bad for the girl. Maybe he shouldn't have been so...well he could have sounded nicer. "What year are you in by the way?" he thought to ask. Maybe if he seemed interested she wouldn't appear as sad. Which was probably a vain hope but he didn't want the girl to be sad.

"i'm a second year... its ok i will buy u look sore" she stood up and slowly walked over to the bar and bought two butterbeers before heading back she dabbed a napkin around her eyes in case tears might have formed yet once heading back she handed him his drink as she sat down she sipped her drink and looked down at the table.

He was right. She was waaay young. Watching her walk over to the bar Alex let his head drop and he heaved a sigh of frustration. He'd made her sad because he was too harsh. Apparently. But it wasn't his fault. Entirely... He'd have to make it up to her. Yep he'd definitely need to make it up to her. She looked really sad.

"Thank-you." he murmured as he took a sip of the drink. It was nice. But it didn't help to make him feel less guilty. Rummaging through one of his bags Alex pulled out a chocolate frog. Thinking for a minute he decided that it wouldn't be good enough to make the girl feel better but it could be a start on a peace offering. "Would you like some chocolate?" he asked softly, extending the treat to Rachael. It wasn't much but he didn't know her well enough to make her feel better.

"no thanks im allergic" she finished her butter beer not wanting to get up she pulled out her wand and refilled the drink "may i ask what ur favorite subject is??"

She was allergic to chocolate??? That was just sad. To not be able to eat the treat well... He'd go crazy if he couldn't have chocolate. "Ummm... I guess I like the flying lessons. I'm on my house Quidditch Team too so I should like flying right?" Alex pondered. Truth be told he didn't really like any of the subjects he took. So he'd say flying because that was something he could see himself doing for a while yet. "What about you? Have any subjects really held your attention yet?" he was looking interested, and he made it sound as if he was interested in what she had to say as well. He'd made her feel bad so the best he could do was try to make her feel better. Even though he seemed to be failing spectacularly at that.

"i guess i like astronomy even tho im no good at it" she was interested in the fact that he was on the quidditch *blushes* "what position do u play for ur team" she glanced down at his glance and saw that it was almost empty "would u like me to get u a refill??"

"Ohh Astronomy is cool. Its peaceful to look at the stars and interesting to find out what they mean." Why had he forgotten about astronomy? He still preferred flying though. And she was blushing again. Which was an improvement on how she looked before. All sad and what-not. "I play a beater for Slytherin, I think I kinda lucked out in getting the position. Still it should be interesting since we play Hufflepuff in the finals and they've got an amazing team." And didn't he know it.

Looking down at his glass as she asked the question Alex saw that it was indeed nearly empty. "Umm no thanks, one butterbeer is enough for me." he smiled as he said it though. Trying to show that he wasn't refusing so that he could get away from her quicker, but just because he really didn't need another drink.

"o really beater" *blushes blushes blushes* "the stars are pretty arent they hold on im gonna order myself another butterbeer" She stood and slowly walked over but as she walked toward the counter her heel got caught in a wedge between the floor boards causing her to fall forward making large thud she was so embarrassed she started crying. She was stuck she was so nervous she was panicking so much that she couldnt get her heel out.

Crap. Crap. Crap. She kept blushing. But he had to be nice because he didn't like when people were so upset. Especially when those people were little girls. He felt like a meanie when he made little girls upset.

Oh good reprieve. Not good. Not good. Not good.

Getting up Alex rushed over to the girl and gently picked her up, removing her heel from the wedge in the floorboard. And she was crying. And he was kinda not good at dealing with crying people. Where was his sister when he needed her? Oh yeah at home because she was too young for Hogwarts.

Sitting her back down on her chair Alex shielded her from the rest of the pub. "Hey are you ok? Did you hurt yourself? Do you need anything?" he asked. She was crying and he didn't know if it was from embarrassment or from hurting herself.

she was in his arms as he sat her down she looked at her foot and was so embarrassed at what she did she embarrassed herself in front of him she felt a throbbing pain coming form her ankles "can i get some ice" she asked while not looking at him she sware she felt her checks fluster they seemed ungodly warm

"Ice. Right. Stay right here." Alex replied before standing up and going over to the bar. Asking for the ice Alex kept shooting furtive glances at the girl. It seemed that she was dangerous to herself when not thinking about what she was doing.

Grabbing the ice and throwing a quick thanks to the woman Alex walked back to Rachael. Crouching in front of her again Alex gently pushed the ice against her ankle, he assumed that was where it hurt anyway.

"You don't need to be embarrassed, I used to trip over all the time. I still manage to do so, even when there's nothing to help trip me up." That didn't sound as comforting as he'd planned. But what could he do about it now?

Selena giggled. "If you play I'm going to cheer for you!! Silently though!" Selena said with a smile, "I cannot be bothered to cheer for more than one person," she stated. Yeah, too much work... Selena didn't like work. Argh. Dramtic? "Dramatic? Who me? Of course not," she huffed with a grin.

He was so sweet and so cute once he came back and placed the ice upon her ankle she said sweetly "thank you" *blush* she seemed comforted just with him there "okay" giggle

Emma smirked, hmm... was Sel going to support Dillon??? Interesting! "Oh I'm hurt! Silently? Must be to much work for Miss Sel! Well at least your coming. That's a start!" she said teasingly, with a HUGe grin on her face. She giggled. "Sure..... Of Course you aren't one tincy tiny bit." She gave her friend a wink.

Selena gave Emma a look. "What's that smirk for Miss Emma?" she said with a questioning look. "And for your information, I don't do cheerleader preppy, and you should know that! If I do though, it will be for two seconds and only if it's you who scored, okay?" she said with a pointed look. Emma was getting ideas. Glare. Glare. Glare. Glare. Smile. "Of course," she sighed as she tossed her hair over her shoulder with a flourish. Then giggled.

He shouldn't be doing this, he was almost encouraging her to have a crush on him. But she looked so disheartened when she was sad. And she was hurt after all... "So what else do you like?" he asked trying to pass the time.

"hmm a like reading" she giggled just at that moment she felt guilty making him do all of this she took the ice out of his hand and held it there "i got this.. what do u like" she asked quitely

Hmm what did he like??? "I guess I like writing and music." Alex replied while pushing himself into a standing position. "And then of course there's languages and stuff." he added as he took a seat across from Rachael, ready to get her something if she asked. She was hurt and only a little girl.

"o really languages that very interesting" she smiled happily she was very interesting "what languages do u speak"

"Korean, which is a given, English obviously, but I can also speak French and a little Japanese." Alex replied with a slight shrug. It wasn't all that impressive. "But I'm more interested in HOW all the different languages came to exist and how they've changed over time." It was interesting to him, but then again he was strange.

"wow thats a interesting point im can speak about 8 languages myself ... so tell what ur hypothesis is so far" she leaned forward total interested but she dis regarded her ankle and it started hurting "ouch!!!"

"Really? Which ones?" Ok so this girl new stuff despite her young age. Maybe he shouldn't totally discount her. And as long as the blushing stopped she wasn't too bad. "Hey are you alright?" he asked in slight panic as she let out an ouch. Obviously she wasn't alright but still..."Maybe you should go back to school and see the nurse..." Because she probably just twisted her ankle but if it was something worse...

"well i know Indonesian, Arabic, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, English, Spanish and little French." she glanced up at him in a whimper "im fine just a small jolt of pain i will be fine." she looked at the ground and just noticed all the bags "what with all the bags if you dont mind me asking."

That was impressive...And she was too stubborn to do much apparently. But if she said it was ok he had to believe her. Since it was her body. "If your sure...but I wouldn't mind taking you to see the nurse." there, he offered, she could either take him up on it or not.

"Ohh I bought some stuff for Alexis, she loves sweets and jokes and its nearly her birthday so I figured I'd give her a bit of each." Alex explained as he too looked around at his bags. He did have quite a few. But they were all necessary if he was to please his little sister.

she laughed at the offer "i can walk to the nurse later" she blushed at how sweet he was "ur such older brother" she smiled brightly and blushed
