Pfft. She doesn't drink butterbeer? That would have been helpful if he had known that before he ordered them. He wasn't in the mood for a second one either. "Right.." he said, when she evaded the topic of her and Milo. "Why are you running into so many things? Suddenly clumsy?" He smiled. Yeah, of course he had known quidditch. He was at the match.. and forced her to the hospital wing afterward. "So, how is quidditch? Getting along with your teammates all right and all?" Heh.

The tavern door opened to let in the green-haired young woman. She let out a small sigh of relief. Dim and quiet, just the way I like it she thought as she took a quick look about, then headed for the bar. Tapping the counter with the coins in her hand she gave the bartender her order "Your house brew please." she said.

Maddie sat down opposite Sel and rubbed her wrist where she'd been dragged. Ouchies. Sel was vicious!
'My parents got a divorce' she said quietly 'I live with Daddy now, at the Force Estate still. Mother apparently lives in London. She's decided she's not going to keep in contact with us. At all.'

Selena looked at her. "Is that a bad thing? Because... last time I heard, you didn't seem to like your mother... at all," she said as she arched a brow. But... it really wasn't that bad right? Her parents were divorced... but bad stuff happened afterward... so she wasn't one to say.

'Definitely not a bad thing!' she said, giggling 'I only said it quietly so as not to be overheard, dummy!' she took a sip of her butterbeer and ooked down for her bag 'Here, I got you something while I was in Paris. Figured you'd be angry at me for leaving so it's sort of a bribe' she said, giggling again and pulling out the necklace she'd bought.

Selena giggled. She wasn't a dummy... just... slow... sometimes. "I don't think you're supposed to tell someone it's a bribe if you're trying to bribe them," Selena pointed out. Sure, she had been mad at Maddie for leaving in the first place, but it didn't matter. She had to leave and didn't have a choice. She saw the pretty necklace. "Maddie, it's amazing, but you really didn't have to get me anything," Selena said as she shook her head. Slytherin. Selena smiled though. Because Slytherins were awesome, them playing in the Championship was proof.

'Good point, I'll remember that in the future' she said, giggling still. She'd missed this in Paris. Hanging around doing absolutely nothing but having the greatest time anyway. 'I know I didn't have to, but I wanted to' she told Sel matter-of-factly. 'I found it in a tiny little muggle store. I don't think the owner really knew what it was'

Noooo... she was using that tone of voice, that 'smart' voice as Selena had dubbed it. "The owner probably didn't know, unless... the owner was a muggleborn or squib," she said with a smile. "So, anything new? Besides whatchamacallit lessons?" she asked.

'How's Quidditch going?' she asked mundanely as she sat down again and took a sip of her butterbeer. She laughed as she put the drink down on the table and looked up at Emma 'I know I do. Simple explanation - my mother pulled me out for some French court-y stuff. But then her and Daddy got a divorce, she lives in London. I live with him and he really loves the idea of me being a witch,' she said very quickly in one breath 'so here I am back at Hogwarts!' she finished with with a grin 'Thanks for the drink, by the way'

Selena was hugged Emma back with a smile. "Hey Emma, how's Quidditch stuff now? Working hard right?" Selena said with a serious stare on her face. THEY HAVE TO WIN!!! "Maddie's going to be for the Slythies~" she added. She just helped Maddie decide which team she was going to be on, yup. "Frenchy... courty... stuff?" Selena moaned as she placed her head on the table. Terrible, absolutely terrible. "I feel a million times worse for you now," Selena sniffled dramatically and wiped away a fake tear. Okay, this was just scaring her.

Emma grinned at her friend. "Quidditch is Quidditch. Hard but fun. Oliver works us hard. He's determined that we have to win! So am I!" she exclaimed. "Oh. I'm sorry about that, it must be hard." She then saw her grin, so she grinned. "it's great that you are back. Sel and I were worried! No problems!"

This was tiring. All the shopping and the walking, and the boring time alone. Yeah he needed company. He needed friends. Well more of them. And maybe to be less standoffish. So he needed to be nicer. And learn to understand more English sayings.

Really he just needed to get better social skills. But w/e.

Pushing the door to the Hogs Head open Alex slipped inside and past some other students to a table off to the side. Dropping down into a seat he put his bags down beside him and leaned backwards, closing his eyes and just relaxing. Glad to be off his aching feet.

Opening his eyes Alex was about to tell the young girl to buzz off when he remembered his vow to be more sociable. Even if she didn't look like someone it was important to socialise with. His main reason for that judgement though was that she appeared to be way young. But he should still be nice.

...Maybe being nice to her was a mistake. She was blushing. Blushing was not good...Not at all good. Oh well he'd committed himself now. Slightly uncomfortable, but not really showing it Alex decided to reply to her. "I'm Alex, and thank-you. I think..." Well she was being nice so he shouldn't be totally non-verbal, or whatever the English would say. Plus if he was nice she may stop with the blushing. Maybe.

It was just a question after all. "I'm in sixth year, and I am older than you." He was sixteen after all and this girl, well she seemed a few years younger than that.

"o i see" felt like slight rejection sorrow slightly flowed though he she no long blushed nor did she smile "would u like some butterbeer?" she asked quitely
